If your under 21 no point going in they tell you got to leave at 10:30 when there a 15 old behind the bar how dose that makes sense.

Good local pub to station ideal for those travelling into London to watch football. Low ceilings and may be more difficult for those with disabilities to get around due to toilets and bar area having stairs. Didn't seem to be any alternative for these.

Good place to hang out and drink.although you do seem to get a few youngsters who slip through the net and drink in there.

Don’t go to this awful drug ridden pub, where the owners pat and marj are rude and threaten children. The place is dirty and sticky. They allow drugs to be sold and used on a Friday and Saturday night and fights break out causing the security to get glass smashed over their heads. A lot of mouthy people, Jess who works there is rude and disrespectful (keep your boyfriends and husbands close otherwise she will try have them) Paige who works there is mouthy and rude, Millie and brad that have also left reviews have been manipulated to doing so the bar staff leave reviews to make the place look better when it’s really not there is no play area just a wooden abc maze on the wall not a place for children at all, avoid this place at all costs

I went to this pub for a friends birthday bash so did not have a meal,can only say good atmospher e friendly staff and management good selection of drinks

Good pub good variety of beers Friday and Saturday is usually busy live DJ and stays open till late also a good covered smoking area outside

Typical local pub. Small and cozy. Big garden area at the back. Prices are very reasonable. You might get a few looks from regulars if you are not one. But generally a friendly atmosphere. DJ at the weekend.

Popped in the Red Cow for a quick drink and stayed for more. Very friendly pub and customers. Loved the atmosphere and we got chatting away with the locals. Very welcoming and will definitely be back. Could have stayed all day if we had time. Excellent place!! Will come to try the food on next visit!!!!

Everything about this pub is 10/10! Majella is a fantastic host, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I will definitely visit again on my next trip to Cheshunt. Would recommend if you’re in the local area!

Unfriendly pub was threatened by owners wife that me and my partner would be beat up soon, bar staff disgustingly rude, they allow drugs to be taken and sold inside, awful place to take kids very dirty, been treated terribly as well as others multiple times myself and others will be taking them to court hopefully the pub is shut down soon! Will never see this as a family friendly pub more like a place for drug dealers and hooligans OUT OF CONTROL ! fights every weekend stopped bands from playing in there as too many fights happened as my uncle used to play in there and said the same thing!

The staff was rude, took a long time to be served, beer was flat and watered down. The staff was not friendly and extremely lazy and seemed like they did not want to be there. Was also serving people and turning around and talking about them to the other staff members. all standing around on their phones.

Unfortunately this was not a good experience. I came here with my family thinking it would be a nice time at a pub and there were people opening doing and selling drugs in front of the staff who didn’t do anything about it. The bar staff were very rude and dismissive and I could barley get a drink. Everyone got very rowdy and there were fights breaking out left right and centre.

What a lovely dinner and atmosphere went for a Sunday dinner with our children. Nothing was too much of a hassle, the food was great, great price and the waitress was phenomenal 👌

I ordered two Sunday beef roast dinners I have never had a meal so fantastic Iv been too so Many restaurants In my time but that was the best meal Iv ever had home cooked everything was so fresh and I could eat it every day Absolutely fantastic their Sunday roast would come top of the list over any Michelin star chef it was absolutely beautiful and I will be going back every Sunday she’s a fantastic cook and as I said it was the Best meal I’ve ever had

My family and myself have been coming to the Red Cow for years. The staff are so welcoming and friendly so we decided to celebrate my dads birthday here for dinner and drinks. We had a lot of family and Majella and the team helped make the day so special, even putting up balloons and decorations around our table. The food was incredible and such generous portions! Would definitely recommend this place for all celebrations and for food on Sunday. Thanks all at the Red Cow!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the hard working staff @TheRedCow Cheshunt on this rainy Saturday night. We came down for a gin or 5 and never felt so welcome anywhere recently! Yes we had to wear masks, yes we had stay on our table and do you know what, it was fun. Drinks were delivered with a smile we can spot behind the mask, music was turned up a little louder as the night went on and it almost felt like a life before all these crazy rules. And it’s ok. It’s safe. It’s welcoming. It’s lovely ❤️. Thank you guys! I’ve had a blast ❤️

Visited recently to meet up with family for a meal over the road in the Cheshunt Tandoori. Quiet as it was mid week and limited ale choices but OK, settled for Guinness. Probably better at the weekend when busier and with a livelier atmosphere.

Watched the rugby World Cup in the pub.Great atmosphere , fantastic staff and customers all around! Great GUINNESS!!Two South Africans amongst all the English supporters, had a whale of a time!! Returned the Sunday for more Guinness and Sunday lunch which was out of this world , big portions , well presented , will be back for more very soon!!

My partner and I come to this pub when we are in the area with our dog, and it is the most welcoming place imaginable! The staff are excellent (shout out Donna), not to mention the locals who have been nothing but lovely and inviting every time we have visited. Would not give a higher recommendation to a pub more than this one... 11/10 would pub again!

Usually pop in here to watch the football ⚽️ we did again on Saturday and another great visit! Atmosphere is always fun and obviously helps when spurs win 😁.. great crowd and never too long to wait for a pint! Highly recommend 😁🍺

If you are in the area I recommend The Red Cow for the Sunday lunch, proper home cooking, the meat is cooked to perfection and the fresh veggies are plenty and flavoursome, nothing is to much if more is required, which I can tell you, you won't need.

We came here for a family lunch and we were very happy with what we received. On the outside we thought it was a normal pub with a bot of character, but the food we received was steps above anything i have eaten for awhile. The equality of the food we were served was fantastic, the amounts we got was enormous. The ham hock was a full joint not just a few slices and the house burger was large enough to feed two people. We were served by a very nice Irish lady who was enjoyable to talk to and gave great service.

My husband and I found this pub by accident and am so glad we did. we had lunch there and from moment we walked in door we were treated with such friendliness. They had lovely vegan menu for me.Plus plenty of choice for my husband. The prices were very reasonable, portions really good size and food very tasty. We wished we lived nearer to this pub!!! They had a lovely big gated garden with plenty of seating plus car parking. If we were in this area we would definately return there.

As eastern eropenian I admire local traditional pubs. So nice to see local pals get together and enjoying their time. Very pleasant staff, keeping place clean and tidy. Customers served very quick. Definitely suggesting to visit.

Visited the pub on 14th July with 8 friends. We ordered a variety of meals for Sunday lunch. All the food was of excellent quality, large portions and beautifully presented. Complements to the chef and Thank You Jade for your attentive service.

For the second time in about a Month I had a Sunday Lamb Roast Dinner at the Red Cow. The food was outstanding, the service was 1st Class. Such a friendly, lovely, host. Will be going back. Recommend the Ham Hock.

A great pub for a after work beer on the way home. Tend not to stay too late but has music most week day evenings. Good beer prices are great staff . If I had any criticism of the place is it can feel like a creche at times with kids running around, but that's the deal with the place and the reason I don't stay later...

We came for a lunch out for Father’s Day and we were amazed by how nice the food is. We tried the ham hock( large with amazing amounts of flavour) as well as lamb and beef roast. Another visit to have a Sunday dinner and the food is still exceptional..I had the ham hock and the wife had a roast both cooked with love..if you want a healthy portion of food it's the place to go..

I contacted the Red Cow to ask about beers on offer, menu and need to book a table. The response was very quick so I booked for lunch on Sunday 12 May.

We had Sunday lunch today, got to say it was absolutely spot on, excellent value, well presented, very helpful staff ,can't get better food anywhere on a Sunday than the Red Cow, highly recommended to anyone in the area to visit.

I haven't been to the Red Cow since the mid 1980's when I worked at Tesco IT and was amazed at this pub.

Friendly staff behind the bar. Good beer, TV screens if you want. Small car park local to Cheshunt Station. Outside smoking area if required. Plenty of regulars. Plenty of seating if important. Not eaten there.

Had many a good night out here - especially on disco night. Takes me back to Rose and Crown days back in the early a 90s. A much needed lively venue. Well done!!

We arrived by narrowboat on the nearby River Stort on a Tuesday evening. Although they were not doing food, we were welcome to buy fast food from the Kebab/pizza/burger shop or Indian restaurant and eat it at their tables outside or in the beer garden. We sat with our black Labrador and two Golden Retrievers. Free Wi-fi. Friendly efficient service at the bar.
