Good prices as Fish and Chips is so expensive these days. Chips were nice. Large cod was very thin - I'd prefer a shorter but chunkier piece (I guess they go for what looks biggest)

Chips most were hard. Certainly couldn't use in chip butty. Over cooked or refried in my opinion. Gave benefit of doubt on previous 2 visits. Certainly won't use again. Went down hill after being sold

Best curry sauce I have ever tasted

Everything is cooked fresh, everything taste amazing . My most favorite chip shop in the whole of london. Service Really polite and professional. Addicted too their curry sauce.

Cooks fish fresh and good size portions

Nice and friendly service. The fish is ok but the chips are very dissapointing. Seemed to be refried as opposed to freshly cooked. The portion I received was full of hard bits.

The TINY portion of Cod I paid nearly £6 for was more of a cod bite. I was shocked at the size.. Although generous with the large chips, they were not fresh, were bitty and so crunchy, you couldnt even put in a chip butty. Worst of all was the bottle of Diet Coke (how can you get this wrong) out of date on May 22...(7 months) Flat as a pancake) won't be returning.

The chips in this place are so nice and everything you order is freshly cooked in front of you. I personally don't eat fish, so can't comment on that front but I guess the same batter is used on the sausages which are great too. I would also recommend the chicken burger or the onion rings, or why not both!

Only discovered this fish & Chips shop recently. Got to say its up there amongst the better fryers in the area. Brilliant selection, friendly and nothing's too much trouble

Hidden away on the side of the parade shops off the main road. Prices are not competitive, food does not look fresh or appealing. On lots of occasions does not have food ready in the display to grab and go.

Fabulous fish and chips, cooked to perfection.

The first time I came here, the fish and chips were freshly cooked. It was all delicious and I was blown away - see my review. The second time the chips were not as good as before and my vegetarian spring roll had meat in it. The third time was today. I broached the spring roll situation with them but it was a while back, so I couldn't prove it. They were adamant it was vegetarian, however I know what meat is....it could have been a mix up in the purchase with the supplier and a meat one got mixed up into the batch....I'm willing to accept that....however it was not pleasant at all, as I don't eat meat. Back to today, the chips were not freshly cooked to order as before and were served to me immediately. They were sadly stale, old and hard. I threw them away. A waste of money for £1.70. I shan't be coming here again.

The only problem is parking due to the car showroom opposite parking their stock in the road.

I ordered the small cod and chips for £6. The people working there were so friendly and we chatted while my food was cooked for me to order from scratch. I was given tartare sauce and lemon and was looking forward to my meal. When I got home I opened the box and the food just looked so appetising. The chips were different sizes, well cooked, some crispy bits and oh so tasty. They reminded me of posh chips served alongside fish n chips in a good pub. They were absolutely delicious and so moorish that I regretted for asking for a few extra, as I would end up eating them all! The fish was crispy, tasty and non greasy and together it was a very good meal. I was so impressed that I phoned and told them! This will be my local fish n chips now and is the new McDermotts in my opinion which has massively gone downhill.

Only visited twice since it was taken over by the current owners. In my opinion e food is not as good as it was, may give it another go soon and update this review if the quality improves

This is our local fish and chip shop. The staff are so lovely and the food is always of a very high quality. We also love the new opening times! We would recommend everyone to go here!
