What a gem of a place. The kebabs are a really good size and there was plenty of meat with lashings of fresh salad. The chicken is to die for & service with a smile even after midnight on a cold and damp evening is most welcome. Highly recommended.

Pizza box has always been my choice here. Feeds upto 4 adults easily. Amazing food. Coleslaw salad is another highlight.

Everything you need from a kebab van - delicious food and perfect portion sizes! Good variety of salad and sauces. Charlie's is my go to for dinner when the day's been long, chicken and chips.....go large and you won't regret it!

Charlies kebab van is located in the car park of Coney Hill Rugby club. Ordered a small Doner Kebab (£6). Very nice meat, it was not overcooked at all and was very moist. The meat had lots of flavour. There was plenty of salad which was very fresh. I would highly recommend this kebab van.

My first time at Charlies. Absolutely the best kebab in town. Served in the traditional bread and not pita. Loads of chicken and lamb meat and fresh salad. The kebab van is squeaky clean as well, and the staff very friendly. Will definitely be back soon!

Value for money and great service by the guys! Felt very welcome and these guys certainly pile up the plate, as you could say. Food was nice definitely couldn't eat it all.

Wow Not having a kabab for a while as all the rest I've had are getting worse. So I just stopped going to the other vans. We were all just getting something else. I always heard and knew about Charlie's kabab was there but didn't think nothing more just thought it would be just the same. Anyway I had to pick up something and we saw Charlie's van driving past. Later that night I said what about a kabab. So got in the car and got one each and it's just the best, everything as it should be perfect. We have had another since and will only buy now from Charlie's We'll done for perfect service. Only downside is the queue everyone is there buying them. Thumbs up to you.

Charlies always looks after my family

Seeing all of the positive reviews on here and all the posts i see on facebook regarding how great the staff are and the quality of food. I always wanted to try the food here, which i finally have. The portions are really good and prices are good so i cant complain regarding those bits, but it was quiet when i went (only 2 other customers there) I ordered and the staff seemed very snappy with me & were trying to rush me along to the next customer, i was there no more then 5 minutes. Once i got home which again was no more then 5 minutes i discovered that the pizza box which my food was in was very soggy in one corner with alot of fat dripping which wasnt the best start, luckily there was a plastic bag otherwise it would've went all over my leather interior. But because how soggy the box was the food didnt taste very nice. I did try calling them to comment about my order but no one answered so i gave up in the end. Bit of a shame in the end considering the great comments about this place.

Blooming lovely. Go for the pizza box kebab if there are a few of you. Make sure to ask for plenty of their homemade coleslaw too.

You will not find a better kebab in Gloucester anywhere else. The guys running this kebab van are very friendly and make it to exactly how you want it.

Having recently moved to Gloucester and looking for a decent kebab spot, I found Charlie's kebab van on google and decided to try it out. I had intended to pay for my kebab by card but when I enquired if this was possible prior to placing my order I was told I could only pay with cash. So I asked if there was a nearby cash point so I could get some cash but Charlie said ' don't worry my friend, place your order and you can drop the cash by whenever is convenient for you'. I was completely shocked as he did not know me and did not take any details either - not many people / business will trust a complete stranger in that way. I ordered a large doner with all the trimmings.. very generous portion and extremely tasty! I of course paid him back the very next day and have been a loyal customer ever since. Highly recommended.

What can I say other than charlies kebabs are the best in Gloucester.

Visited this kebab van today., had 2 large kebabs and one extra large. They were absolutely delicious had loads of meat and salad, will definitely visit again, and highly recommend

The best place to get kebabs. I drive 30 minutes to get one and its worth every mile. The guys are friendly and work as fast as they can to get the queues down. Try it, you will not be sorry

Picked up food for the family. Lovely freshly cooked chips, crisp crunchy salad with amazing home made coleslaw. Kebab was generous in size and gorgeous. Not the closest fast food outlet to us, but we will definitely be back.

Our new go to place. Didn't realise coleslaw will kebab would be this good. Must try if you are around the area.

So far the best kebab I have tasted after moving away from London. The small portion was too much for me. The homemade coleslaw was lovely. I will definitely go there again.

The food's good and the staff are friendly... And they seem that be open whenever you need them! The only downside is if you time your visit wrong, the queues can be huge, but I think that's just an illustration of how popular they are! They also introduced a queueing system and social distancing during Covid and have remained open throughout.
