Mister's Cafe & Bistro in Gloucester

It was our first time going to Mister’s but we went as they had a good gluten free range. The staff were all lovely (especially Dec and Sarah) and the food was amazing and filling. The service was great and we will definitely be going back!

Highly recommended, we visited today first time and won't be our last. They had a card and balloons on the table for my son. The gluten free menu was great, never had so much choice. We all loved it. Gluten free brownie was spot on according to henry. Thank you so much for fitting us in.

A lovely welcoming cafe. We brought our 7 month and staff couldn’t have been more accommodating despite it being a busy Saturday. We had a delicious vegetarian Mediterranean flatbread, but there were lots of lovely breakfast and lunch options. Highly recommend!

We had a beautiful breakfast here on Tuesday 21st January. The food was absolutely delicious, in fact the best breakfast we’ve ever had. I have my hair done in Gloucester every 8 weeks or so and I do love a breakfast as a treat. My hairdresser recommended this restaurant and I’m so glad he did. Me, my daughter and my husband thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of food and it was my birthday too so I had a lovely time. I’ll be back in 8 weeks time, I can’t wait.

The gluten free breakfast is god tier, and the staff were all really friendly and attentive. You can tell they use really good ingredients, it makes such a difference!

This is a lovely cafe the staff are so friendly and attentive,fast service and food is fantastic. There are vegetarian options and Gluten free options and milk alternative if dairy free like myself. My first job was in this place so it's great to see it still as a cafe. Well worth a visit highly recommend especially for the service.

I went here last night with my skittles team for our Christmas night out. We all throughly enjoyed a three course meal which tasted beautifully and the staff were all so lovely and accommodating 😃 Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What am an absolute gem of a find. I have a gluten, dairy, yeast, turmeric and peanut intolerance and am vegetarian.....thought eating out was a thing of the past . .wrong...the people at Misters were amazing . Going above and beyond helpful...even making a dish especially for me...it was gorgeous......I also really appreciated them leaving lovely balloons on my table when they knew it was my birthday. Can't thank them enough..they made my day special.

We recently had chance to stay in Glousater for a few day's, not really knowing the area we took a chance on popping into Minster Cafe in the main High Street. What a lovely place so friendly and welcoming... Food was excellent and the place is must visit again if we get chance to go back. Big thank you to all the staff. John and Bridget

Great find. We've never had so much choice with so many gluten free options on the menu. The avocado on toast with poached eggs was delicious and the GF bread was amazing. Staff were very friendly and efficient. It was a busy Saturday lunchtime but they still took the time to reassure us about allergies and menu options. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I stopped here with our dog Tonifor brunch after reading the reviews online. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I had bubble and squeak cakes with a poached egg, hollandaise sauce and bacon and my wife had the same but with spinach instead of bacon. Toni was offered a bowl of water and some doggy treats. All very tasty and the portions are generous yet reasonably priced. Top drawer 👌

We had a lovely meal today at Misters, we decided to go there based on my partners food intolerances. The food & the service were fantastic. I would highly recommend.

Fancied some breakfast while I waited for my daughters dance class to finish, and I will definitely be doing that again! Sat in the "snug" area listening to my audio book while I enjoyed the generous serving of breakfast and tea. The pot of green tea was big enough to share and the misters breakfast with its amazing sausages and bacon that actually tasted like bacon will keep me coming back! The genius idea of providing a little pair of scissors to help open the sauce packets was a delight.

Located in Gloucester’s Westgate Street, this independent establishment offers first class food and drink with friendly service. Totally recommend the all day English Breakfast, although a full menu is available for later in the day. Best part of this visit is that the wife paid!

We were visiting Gloucester today and found this gem of a cafe. Of the party of five three were coeliacs. The cafe offered us an amazing selection of gluten free food, which we enjoyed immensely and suffered no ill effects. Brilliant xx

We decided to come for light lunch today and it’s the best meal we’ve had in the area the attention to us being gluten free from the staff was discreet and very well organised we didn’t have any concerns about our food…. The staff were incredible the atmosphere is lovely and the food was gorgeous! Absolutely we will be back!

Arrived for breakfast at 9 am. Had a great breakfast. Always good to support independent, local business. Gluten free was very well catered for. Pot of tea with cup and saucers. Excellent value. Friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended. We had stayed at the Quays. Short walk up to West gate finds Mister's on the corner, just a stones throw from beautiful Cathedral. No pictures as I just enjoyed and ate it all!

Delicious rosemary salted fries. Sandwich needed more seasoning. Tea tasted a little bit like chlorine, probably due to local tap water.

We went today as two adults and two children. It was lovely. Attentive staff, not loud and bustly like other cafes. They have a wonderful deal over the summer where children's meals are half price with a paying adult. The food was fresh and very well presented. It all tasted fabulous too. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because my husbands full breakfast had quite a small sausage (the ability to order extra is there so we'll definitely do that next time around). A truly lovely cafe to visit and if you aren't local, Gloucester cathedral is just yards away!

I love this place! Food is delicious every time, staff extremely friendly and helpful, great location and atmosphere. For me this is the best place in Gloucester for a brunch or lunch, love it and will come back many many times again ❤️ kids friendly too

My partner Pam is having Ham and chips and a mug of latt'e coffee and I'm having a chicken burger and fries and a large mug of Americano Coffee. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

While waiting for my MRI scan in Gloucester, I needed some where to eat for lunch. I found Misters on Westgate street and they have a nice selection of meal and also cater very well for gluten free, which is what I needed. I had a salmon potato rosti with poached egg and lemon and dill hollandaise sauce. We very pleased with my choice and will be coming again to try some more of their fare. For anyone gluten free this place is worth having a look at

Food was incredible and the hot chocolate I had was amazing as well! The service was wonderful, very cheerful, they were also thorough with checking for allergies too. Definitely coming again!

Excellent service and food was Amazing!!! Definitely recommend the loaded fries. Really helpful and very friendly atmosphere. They catered for my 1 year old daughter, who was asleep whilst her food came out and they kindly placed it under a heat lamp until she woke up. Even gave us sweets at the end.

I was too late for breakfast, but thankfully there was a pretty great brunch menu. I was intrigued by the bubble and squeak eggs benedict and was not disappointed. Tonnes of flavour! Like a high-end restaurant creation. Lovely hints of bitterness from the slightly charred bubble and squeak, combined with the slightly oversweet packet hollandaise both hugely complimented by the juicy, salty Wiltshire ham. Even the weird addition of a cracker eventually made sense (crunchy bite). Absolutely delicious. If the b&s had more pepper and the hollandaise were fresh with a bit of cayenne i would suggest this wouldn't be out of place on a michelin starred menu. Great coffee, good strong tea. Staff were excellent. Hugely recommend.

Great choice of food for all dietary requirements. I chose bubble and squeak with eggs Florentine, absolutely gorgeous and very filling. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. Food very reasonably priced. Couldn't be better!

We were visiting the area for the first time and had found this cafe on a google search. When we arrived the cafe was quite busy and we thought this looks promising. However the reality was very different. The service was extremely slow, and seemed to favour the locals who were known to the staff and were asking when they were going to get served and where there food was even though there were lots of people in front of them. The Food was ok when it came but i ordered spinach as a side and I got a plate of water with it that soaked in to the rest of the food. I like the actual cafe but it was let down by poor service and average food.

Amazing breakfast. Had the black pudding bubble and squeak tower with hash browns on the side and my wife had the eggs floretine tower. Coffee was incredible. Very good service.

We had a wonderful English breakfast with my family. The place is very nice, and the staff extremely kind, we were outside the place ten minutes before opening and they opened for us without any problems, without us even asking! The boy who served us asked the children if they wanted things to play with, he brought colored pencils and printed paper. Breakfast was excellent, both for the savory part, bacon, beans, eggs, sausage, haws browse, and for the sweet part of which we tasted pancakes with Nutella and Oreos. Super recommended!

Stopped in to this great little hidden Gem and the food was the best. Service was first class and everyone so happy to make your feel very welcome Mike the chef and co owner was lovely and told us about how he came to Gloucester after being in Cheltenham for a few years but needed a bigger restaurant. Situated a few minutes from the Cathedral and we will certainly recommended this place to my family who are due to move here in August. All the best Mike and I know you are going to be a big hit in Gloucester.

Never knew it existed until passing by. Great service, great food and was clean! Especially the toilets which is hard to say now days.

Went here as it was the best rated cafe in the area and glad I did. Good coffee. Food was yummy, had avocado on sourdough (£7.50) + 2 poached eggs (£2) + 2 streaky bacon (£2) so £11.50 in total. Service was quick and efficient… particular shout out for Sophia who was lovely and very professional. Only thing I would say is to bring the printed bill out when people ask for the bill as I didn’t realise service wasn’t included until I’d already paid and then asked for a receipt, but then it was too late as I had no cash, and I definitely would’ve left a tip!!

Visiting Cheltenham for the racing and we came to Gloucester to see the sights. We were hunting everywhere for a cafe to have a breakfast and we found this little cafe. The friendliness of the young lady and young man who served us was out of this world. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere so so lovely. Never change how you are!

We stumbled across Mister’s during our trip to Gloucester. Within 5 mins of parking, the kids were starving and so I was I. Waddling around looking for somewhere to eat whhit hungry can be a nightmare. We saw Mister’s and loved the look of the menu so we went in. Straight away, we were blown away by the high level of customer service, the food on offer, the friendliness of the staff and the overall setting. Very warm and cosy. We will be coming again that’s for sure. Nice one guys, keep up the good work!

The staff were very considerate about allergies, the chefs even came out to check everything was 100% correct. The food tasted amazing at a reasonable price. They were able to adjust the menu to suit any dietary requirements, my girlfriend is Gluten & Dairy Free, she was able to eat panackes with whipped cream for the first time in years. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for brunch or dinner.

I've been here a couple of times this month, and my parents dine here most weeks. I have to say, I think Mister's might be THE best place to grab breakfast, lunch, or something inbetween in Gloucester - I can't recommend it high enough. Dec is always a very helpful, and the kitchen are generous with their portions. Well worth a visit.

The food is always amazing and the service is just as great. There’s so many different dishes you can’t fail to find something to eat even for the pickiest of eaters. Highly recommend !

Had a birthday lunch here with few friends, lovely surprise from the staff flowers, balloons etc. It was so relaxed having delicious home cooked food with a glass of wine or 2 ( recommend the bubble and squeak dishes)

The surroundings are lovely, and the food was fab - good range of options of both food and drinks and we all really enjoyed our meals. Definitely recommend!

Stumbled upon this café when looking for lunch on Westgate Street and glad we gave it a go. Food was really good, all homecooked and the all day bubble and squeak was great. Very good range of soft drinks and also three alcoholic drinks on tap. Service was excellent. The cafe was undergoing refurbishment at the time but this did not detract from the experience. Loses one star for atmosphere due to the frosted glazing on the windows - I'd rather be able to see out and watch the world go by.

Celebrated my brother's 40th birthday at MisteR's with family and friends. Carvery was excellent and good gluten free options. Mike, Rex and their team were so warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.
