Best place to on margate sea front

Came during the weekday. Food was delivered in good time and the desserts were high quality for the price. Would recommend!

Excellent experience here. Lovely view of the sunset, which added to the location of the place. The food was very good and you could tell it was fresh. Lovely staff.

This cafe was recommended to us. It's dog friendly and the staff were very friendly. Toilets are available for customers. I had a banana milkshake, and my friend had cappuccino topped with a smiley face. The prices were reasonable.

Lovely dog friendly spot with outdoor seating in the sun over looking the sea. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was as you would expect for a cafe and very reasonably priced.

The good was really nice but the wait time was egregious. We were told it would take 30 mins because they were busy, which was fine. However the food took over 70 mins to arrive. It is a nice place, I just wouldn't go there again during rush time.

What can I say, me and my partner was looking for somewhere to eat in Margate on a Monday evening and most place were closed but we saw Charlie’s restaurant and thought why not it’s got a good few people with their kids etc,,, lights outside that made the restaurant look very inviting, I had the Chicken Tikka with narm bread and popadom and my partner has Chill Concarnie we also had a sponge pudding to share. It was the best meal I have had in a long time it was so tasty and very juicy and it was hot as it just came out of oven, I would recommend trying this place out oh the music was also very good lots of 70’s vibe. The man that looked after us name was Charlie he was very friendly he mentioned food was half price as it was after 5pm even better, thanks again for looking after our table.

Nice, simple, breakfast - greasy spoon style. Good value. Service was friendly though a bit slow. Also, great background music.

Two of the meals were good. The bolognes and spaghetti was disgusting yuk.

Stopped in for breakfast. Very accommodating of our group and dog friendly! Staff were excellent! And a yummy breakfast! Friendly and polite staff who gave us some recommendations on what to do and see in the local area. Genuine care and interest for their customers. Spotting us hours later as we walked past and asking how our day had been! Highly recommend.

Stopped and had a light lunch sandwiches which were banging and then decided on an evening meal which was also brilliant really friendly staff highly recommend this place for a meal.

Food was satisfying and nice, good place to get a toasted sabdwich for £5. Not too expensive for the middle of town, staff were attentive and nice!

Great clean little diner/pub-combo, 80s-style with a modern flair. Good selection of food and surprisingly great fish&chips. All accompanied by a fitting selection of 80s music.

The food was OK. I had a simple baked potato with tuna mayo, and it was quite dry. More butter and/or mayo would have helped a lot. I was charged a different price than shown on the menu, which was frustrating.

The staff clearly work hard and go above and beyond when times are busy. The food was tasty and the beer was cold, what more could you ask for.

We had a lovely lunch here and I can recommend the Taco salad. My brother had a chicken wrap with chips, which was also good.

We had dinner here this evening. The fish was delicious and not over battered. The prawn cocktail was huge and very tasty. Both dishes were well presented and we can't criticise the standard of food at all. We couldn't resist the apple crumble and ice cream, which we shared between us because the portion was so large. The service was excellent and all in all we were pleasantly surprised. We would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you Charlies! .

I had a very disappointing and distressing experience at Charlie’s at Margate yesterday. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and it was immediately apparent that something was off. The cheese looked like it had gone bad, and the overall appearance was unappetizing. Unfortunately, my concerns were validated later that evening. I experienced severe stomach pain and ended up vomiting multiple times. The situation escalated to the point where I had to be admitted to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with a stomach bug. This experience has been incredibly unpleasant, and I urge the management at Charlie’s to take a closer look at their food safety and quality control practices. I hope no one else has to go through what I did.

Brilliant day had, the staff where fantastic.... Nothing was an issue, tables moved for us. Service with a smile, great beers great food.

Cute restaurant with a beautiful view. The food wasn’t amazing, at least in terms of pizzas, which tasted like frozen pizzas; but the view makes up for it, and it is dog friendly

My dauther was haungry and she wanted pizza so we went to charlies and ordered pizza and chips pizza was like from aldi for 1£ my dauther had just one bite because pizza also smelled from the smoke

Excellent food and drink and wonderful service. We had two small children with us and the staff couldn’t have been kinder or friendlier. We genuinely were made to feel special. Why would you go anywhere else?

Food 10/10. Staff 10/10. The only downside was we waited one hour for our food to arrive, but they did apologise for the long service, but we can't fault the food it was Amazing!!! And so cheap for the home cooked food, piping hot.

Really enjoyed my breakfast here this morning. All the staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant had a good atmosphere to it. My fry up arrived promptly, everything was very efficient and it was probably my favorite place I ate at this weekend.

Today I went to Charlie's for lunch with my mum .we had fish and chips with mushy peas ,it was delicious, white fish crispy batter great chips and a hot mug of tea .the staff are lovely too ,what more can you ask for ...oh yes its a great price too £10 !!

Great fish and chips. To be honest all the meals were really nice and such good value. Staff are lovely and really accommodating for a family with 3 dogs. Always eat here when we visit from London.

Huge, delicious, and great value. 1990s power ballads on the sound system. Massive plate of vegan breakfast for about eight quid, served by ridiculously cheerful young lads. Perfect 🍳

Lovely Sunday roast, fresh and hot and plenty of it

I ordered a medium steak, but It was completely rare. They cooked it again and when I tried it was rare again with lots of blood. I asked them to change my food but they didn't.

Perfect pit stop for tea cakes and a coffee. And a special mention for the waitress who had a great smile and made our day. We haven't had toasted tea cakes in ages 😍

Staff friendly, food was good and fair price, I had the omelette, chips, and salad. I appreciate that they were very busy, but the staff need to listen to the customer, three times they got our order wrong, but it was eventually corrected. Please turn down the loud music outside as it seems to turn people away. Toilet was clean.

Such lovely food! My friend and I had some food and a drink, staff is very kind and helpful, men are hard working. My friend had the chilli con carne which he loved and I had a wonderful pizza with olives. Great experience! Would really love to be back here.

We’ve been too Charlie’s Bar a few times, and I’d just like too say l, how brilliant it is, the staff are always helpful, cheery and efficient. It’s great too be able too sit on the seafront 😊 Food and drinks are reasonably priced 😊

Really friendly staff. We only stopped for drinks and some chips for the kids. The staff provided iced water for our dog without even being asked.chips were crispy outside and fluffy inside and the milkshakes were cold and thick.

I dont want to be harsh, but I will be honest, the place is nice, the seating area is nice, the staff are super friendly, the prices are pretty good, but the food is really not good at all. The food isn't bad like it will make you sick, but if you expect anything other than frozen chips and low cost meat, dont. I dont always care about having amazing food, but I do like good food, this isnt good food, its acceptable to eat, but thats it. The wine is nice and inexpensive. If you dont mind this kind of food and you want to save a few quid, eat here, if you don't... then don't.
