Great traditional local pub with good choice of beer, canny staff who were very helpful about local amenities, interesting street art behind the bar, formally belonging to Vivian Westwood but purloined from the Berlin wall, extremely dog friendly, felt like I was a regular after about 10mins, visited 3 times during our 2 nights in Ramsgate

A real traditional pub, very quirky with eccelectic fittings from a mural removed from the Berlin Wall to an old Dansette record player. The Beer selection is quite wide, one hand pump others Asahi pumps selling Brew Dog Stout, my favourite, and various others e.g. Neck Oil. Regular Poetry readings and bands etc. You must visit! Opens 4pm every day except Monday when it is closed all day. Dogs are very welcome a Dog Menu is available.

Great little pub, one of my faves in Ramsgate! Yet to try any food but looking forward to it.

Visited this pub to listen to local band The Dial who were wonderful as always. The pub was very crowded and the atmosphere was fantastic. Service was good and I would definitely visit again.

Lovely little pub. We had a few pints here. Recently opened up again after a long closure. The owner is lovely & is passionate about his local pub. He has great plans for the future, including classic movie nights with pop corn machine, roast dinners & pizza. We drank the Beavertown beers, great beer, clean lines & awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping here. 👍😎🍻

Love this quirky pub!! One of the reasons we are visiting Ramsgate again from Brixham in Devon. We’ve had a fabulous evening with great music and a very friendly landlord. You locals are lucky to have such a fabulous pub and must support it! One of our favourites!

Great venue for a family get together. 19 of us got together for a 70th birthday celebration. Landlord very helpful and full use of bar area available in this quirky accommodation in the heart of Ramsgate.

We were supposed to stay here but due to storm Eunice we were advised not to travel unless emergency he wouldn't give us our money back we are£730 down don't trust him he says he will help but more interested in taking your money

It's dirty although you will be charged cleaning fee, it's noisy you can hear every single step that you take and hear every noise and conversations coming from the other rooms. My experience was very disappointing and disgusting, it seems this place hasn't been clean and looked after in 100 years. Wouldn't recommend it.

I didn’t eat here so I can’t comment on the food however the pint I had was very welcome after a long cycle ride from Dover. I did stay in a room upstairs booked through a well known booking site. It is a most unusual place to stay. The rooms are similar style to the pub with everything old and quirky! Some old places are quite modern really but this was like going back in time. I saw someone going through a pile of LPs to play some music on the record player! Haven’t seen that for years. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Great place!

Ponsy, drab, overpriced, no real ales as they had run out, and worst of all full of self important DFL's.

Great find over on the Westcliffe! Gluten free beers, good selection of craft beer and gins (beers change often). Small venue but decor is lovely, would be great for quiet and cozy drink or for a small group. Bar staff were very friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. They run events and do Mexican food on certain nights (yet to try but certainly will be!)

Been trying to get here for a while and we had dinner booked across the road at the Flastaff. Popped in and was wowed. Super friendly barman, friendly local bonding over the amazing Japanese food (currently available Friday and Saturday) and discussing the excellent Mexcian food (currently available Wednesday and Thursday). The lovely woman preparing the food provided some dumplings and they were perhaps the best I have tasted - seriously. Nice selection of beers and gins. Quirky and warm interior - classic. People - go to this place!

Popped in for some drinks, great atmosphere and lovely old place. Friendly barman and great selection of drinks - myself and partner have very different preferences so finding somewhere to suit us both to a T is not always easy! Would definitely recommend and will be going back if ever in the area. Fab

An enjoyable and rambunctious small pub set conveniently close to the waterfront. With interesting theme nights and photo exhibitions it certainly had a tinge of the Shoreditch!

Excellent pub, great atmosphere.. well motivated.. the cask ales are not always on because I think they only open the latter half of the week but when on the ales are great. They also have that tap beer if you need it... I can cope because I like the pub and respect their reasons..

This is a lovely, quirky, cosy pub with a fantastic range of draft craft beer and ale. We also ordered a scotch egg and a pork pie - both were homemade and very tasty. The toilets are also far nicer and fancier than you'd expect. If you go for a drink here (and you should) you'll see what I mean.

Well kept interesting beers - and well priced. A lively buzzy little place and on the weekends can be crowded. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

Another gem to be found in Addington Street. A cosy and very friendly pub with lots of character. Often there is live entertainment. Highly recommended.

Cellarmanship is a bit hit and miss so it's just as well there are so many key keg alternatives. Food is great and the seating area for food super. Decor in the main pub is an acquired taste, as are some of the more posturing clients, however in general it's a brilliant addition to an ever richer Ramsgate crawl

Great beers, great vibe, and a ridiculous reggae DJ on Fridays. Just unreal. If only every pub was like this, the UK would be a much happier place.

A pub playing late 50s music. Loads of beers on tap. A real fire and friendly people. Had a really nice time here.

I enjoyed a tasty Spanish-style Sunday roast full of flavour and high-quality ingredients. No issue with gluten-free and the lady chef is very accommodating. Get on the gravy boat and book yourselves a table! :D

We rang from Ramsgate seafront to see if they could accommodate our group of 7, they could and they did. We all had the roast: pork belly, roast beef, nut roast, chicken. Everything was moist and delicious, I asked to have the smoky cheese sauce added to my roast beef, weird and delicious! The avocado and mascarpone ice cream, while unusual, was creamy, fresh and wonderful. A really nice end to this excellent meal with friends, and excellent birthday weekend in Ramsgate, in a light and beautiful building. I'd come back in a heartbeat. I rarely say this, but I'm reluctant to head home to London.

Lunch of pork belly was good. The beer selection was a huge disappointment- claimed to have 16 beers on tap, turned out that about half were not available (including all the dark beers!) Deco was 'distressed' and not to my liking.

Visited for Sunday lunch on Mothers Day and what a treat I had. A truly high quality roast dinner cooked to perfection. Friendly atmosphere, great location just a minute's walk from the seafront. Fabulous to be in a pub that isn't serving 'large chain menu pub grub'. This place is quirky, full of history, serves great food with genuinely friendly staff. What a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Called into here on the off chance on Saturday 27th February, had a soul night and what a great night it was, back to the old skool it was, great atmosphere, bar staff were rushed off their feet but still got served in good time. Everyone by the looks of it had a great time, defo go back when they have their next one.

First let me say I thought the draft ale very reasonably priced at £3.50 per pint and jolly nice to boot! We came here for a meal having walked by earlier in the week (when it wasn't open) and were bowled over by the place. After a warm welcome, from the hostess, we were offered a table in the restaurant upstairs (which looked lovely), but we opted to sit downstairs as we wanted to listen to the record player. Two of us had tapas and one had stew whilst another had a burger. My initial reaction was that the tapas seemed expensive compared to the other dishes, but we decided to be adventurous and go for it (the tapas price also included a pudding). We weren't disappointed! The chef helped us to pick half a dozen tapas dishes and we ate them all with gusto. The beef stew came inside a loaf, which I thought a nice touch and the burger was very tasty. To cap off the perfect evening a 'DJ' came along and started to play us a selection of 78rpm records, whilst a knitting circle chattered away behind us - what more could you want! A curious combination but it all added to the eclectic ambience of the Charlotte!

...small, friendly, warm, attentive, tasty independent pub. The Queen Charlotte was just around the corner from where we were staying and was recommended as somewhere we might like. They weren't wrong. The staff/owners couldn't have been more welcoming, the tapas was great but what really swung it for us was the eclectic community feel of the place. John arrived to play his 78s, there was a knitting circle on the table behind us and folk popping in to collect their bags of veg! Never a dull moment! Will be back.

The bar has a very nice look, the staff were friendly but quite happy to gossip bad stories about locals (maybe not so advisable).The main problem was the price of the beer being a good 20%-25% more than the equivalent real ale served elsewhere in Ramsgate.

We went to this excellent pub for dinner on a Saturday night whilst visiting friends who recently moved to Ramsgate and have since become 'regulars'. It is quirky in a good way with an excellent atmosphere and fabulous staff. When we first arrived our friends were welcomed on first name terms by Suzanne and my husband Alan was briefly introduced. We subsequently had a lovely dinner upstairs and a thoroughly good time was had by all. What was most impressive on our departure was that, despite being chock-a-block, Suzanne remembered Alan and included him in her goodbyes. We will definitely be returning.
