Fairways Kitchen in Thanet

Well after reading all the reviews we were really looking forward to it . Had the lasagne with garlic bread nice to have garlic bread that tasted of garlic but baguette needed more cooking . The lasagne was not great at all very mushy . Now the cottage pie well the dish was not hot sadly food was Luke warm at best the dish lacked flavour and taste , a bare minimum amount of cheese the sauce definitely not a gravy was thin and greasy plus the volume of frozen veg in the mince made the peas and sweetcorn pot superfluous to the dish . The dishes holding the food were hot sadly the food was not

On Father's Day we had a marvelous Sunday roast out with friends. We were offered a great choice of starters, the very tasty range of the traditionel Sunday roast and a good number of deserts. The staff was really friendly. Thank you for the nice day out.

Lovely breakfasts. Always piping hot, well cooked and good value for money. Medium breakfast is plenty big enough. Service always very pleasant.

We stopped off for a bite to eat after having a session at the driving range. The cafe is clean and spacious and our food was very good quality, well presented and value for money. The service was excellent with friendly staff. I will be using this venue again.

Took my wife and eldest Granddaughter for a Sunday Carvery at Stonelees. It was first class! We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table to peruse the 3 course menu. We decided against a starter to ensure we had room for dessert! The carvery had a choice of Roast Beef, Turkey, Gammon, (or all 3!) served with stuffing balls, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and red wine gravy. Vegetables were served at the table. Everything was cooked to perfection, piping hot and delicious! The desserts we chose were amazing, prepared with TLC! The service by the waitresses was faultless, thank you. It was 'refreshing' to have water on the table and additional drinks could also be purchased. It was a nice touch for the chef to come and have a chat with us at our table. It also gave us to opportunity to thank him and his team for a tasty lunch. Without hesitation, we'll be back. But as for today, it's battling the winds with 9 holes on the Executive Course!

We visited the Carvery today and were not disappointed! It was our first time and certainly won't be our last. My husband said his roast ham was the best he'd tasted and my beef was delicious. The vegetables were also very tasty and I especially liked the cheesy potato mix. Everything was fresh. The service was exceptional. You were made to feel very valued. The chef came to each table which I felt gave a great homely personal touch. The waitress and bar lady were friendly and attentive. Thank you to all.

Went for first time on Sunday - lovely fresh carvery delicious desserts and personal service. Good prices. Staff attentive but not obtrusive. Felt valued as a customer. Will be back.

Went to Stonelees with 50 of our club members, had a wonderful time. The venue, the service and the meal was first class. The staff were friendly and efficient. A good time was had by all. Would recommend this venue to anyone hosting a party or a wedding.

Through the caravan club we booked a weeks holiday on one of the five pitches and enjoyed all the facilities of Stonelees. We used the restaurant for evening meals and on some occasions, breakfast! The food was local, fresh and hot served by friendly staff who were always very helpful. Will definitely return.

Bar staff nick and kirsty are superb friendly and welcoming, food was awesome and fresh and environment was really nice ...top marks

Visited Stonelees golf for my firms annual golf afternoon and finished off with a very pleasant meal. Although the menu was restricted due to the number of people attending there was plenty of it and was well cooked.

Popped in for lunch after using the driving range at Stonelees and we weren't disappointed. The Cajun chicken burger was great and they aren't shy with their portions either. You can't complain with the value either - £22 for 2 of us including drinks and extras. We have never been disappointed in all the times we have visited.

Popped in for breakfast on Father's Day. Excellent choices, attentive staff at very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit just to eat.

Took advantage of the two mains for £10 and 75% off drinks this evening and was very impressed. Food was tasty and well presented, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Will certainly eat there again,

Popped into Fairways Kitchen at Stonelees for a business lunch. Great cajun chicken burger, really fresh and juicy. Great service and atmosphere, clean and tidy. Don't just think this is just a golf clubhouse. Pop in for lunch if you're in the area.

Been here several times and love the food, six of us yesterday had food and no complaints, the chef and bar staff are friendly which gives the place a great family atmosphere.thanks for a great afternoon

I came in with my daughter and had two meals for £10 and food was lovely.Chef was friendly and so was the barman who served us drinks.will definitely be visiting again soon

Play golf here on a regular basis quick stop between holes or at the end of a game good food good service never disappointed

A mixture of club house/cafe/bar the decor is dark with blue velour chairs and dark oak stained woodwork, not my taste but it's comfortable and the views of parts of the Stonelees golf course are a bonus. I was with a frind and we both had an English breakfast., all good quality ingredients cooked very well and served by young staff, with a smile. Fairways kitchen is a little bit out of the way but definitely worth a visit if yoou're in the neighbourhood, and certainly if you fancy hitting a bucket of balls on the driving range with something to eat after!

The owner knows how to serve up a really good meal..it never disappoints and if he has the time he will always try and have a chat with you.His staff are very very good as well.nice one

Fantastic food. Probably the best sunday lunch I have had in any restaurant. Excellent suroundings with a great view out onto the golf course. The food is all local and fresh the Chef makes his own Iced cream and chocolates, there is obvoiusly a great attention to detail with all the food. The chef made a point af talking to all the customers, we were made very welcome and there was no rush. Have allready booked again.

My husband and I attended the first Carvery at Fairways Kitchen this afternoon and to our delight it was simply outstanding. The food was delicious, the service faultless and the atmosphere pleasant and relaxing. Best roast potatoes ever and great veggie options too. It's the second Sunday of every month and I'll certainly be going back. Id advise anyone to get down there!

A friend and I regularly play at Stonelees Golf Club and I would say that the Bacon and Egg Baguette is the best you can get! Very yummy.

My husband and I went to lunch here after a long bike ride. The staff were friendly and the place was nicely decorated and clean and tidy.I had a lasagne and my husband had a burger and chips. The food was absolutely delicious and very good value. We will be eating here again very soon. I heard someone saying the bacon baguette is good value for money so I'll be checking that out next.

I came to this place recently as I heard there was new management and a new head chef and was interested to check it out. The restaurant is located within StoneLees golf club which is set in nice surroundings with a good decent sized car park.I'm not a member of the golf club but I was immediately made to feel welcome by the bar staff, who were well presented and couldn't be more helpful. There was outside seating but we decided to eat indoors.The whole menu was hard to choose from, great selection of breakfasts, baguettes and hot meals, I went for the ploughmans and my friend had the burger. The food came out in a timely manner, and was very generous portions. I had so much on my ploughmans, but it was all good quality fresh ingredients. The cheese was fabulous, the home made coleslaw was the best I've ever had, the bread was nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. My friend said her burger was cooked to perfection, made with proper beef and melt in the mouth delicious. We both had drinks and shared a dessert (a delicious home made malteser brownie) and the bill was around £20, a very good price for such good quality food. I've heard they do wedding receptions and I'd definitely consider it as a venue, the surroundigns of the golf course are so beautiful and the food is lovely, it was such a nice place, with friendly staff and great food. I couldn't fault it one bit. I will certainly be back to work my way through the menu.

Following new ownership. The change in both the service and quality of the food at Stonelees golf centre is exceptional. The breakfast's are a real treat. I look forward to working my way through the menu.Back very soon

I went for lunch with a friend on a weekday having heard that the catering had changed hands. The bar/restaurant area is small but cosy, and soon filled up with golfers and lunch guests. The menu had a good variety of options, and I noticed the baguettes that were coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, but was tempted by the lasagne!The food was brought out very quickly (by the new chef!), was hot and well presented. I noticed the chef is making a real effort to meet all of the customers and make sure that everyone was happy - a nice touch in a new business. My lasagne was delicious, as was the vegetarian lasagne ordered by my friend. The portions were just right and I thought they were very reasonably priced. We were checked on halfway through our meal to check that everything was ok, and we both sent back very clean plates!I also noticed on the way out that Stonelees are offering a very reasonable package for weddings, at a much better price than some other venues in the area. Having been to a wedding here before, I think the beautiful function suite paired with the lovely food from the new chef would be an amazing combination.I'm very much looking forward to the next visit and trying more things on the menu!

I was very impressed with the quick service and the quality started with a hot plate (nothing worse than cold food half way through the meal) and went on with locally sourced ingredients cooked to perfection.I will be back

A friend and I came here for lunch on a beautiful sunny day a week or so ago. We were delighted by the welcome we received since neither of us are members of the Stonelee's golf club, the staff and customers were all really friendly. We both struggled to decide what we wanted from the menu because there were so many options we both wanted. We ordered and then sat outside in the sun looking out over the greens. Our meals were both very nicely presented and good value for money, we had each been eying up a chocolate brownie for dessert but found we were too full from our lunch. All in all, I would say we had a great time and will definately be going back soon.

Great prices and good environment, always a decent buzz in the bar area which leads straight to the golf shop - guilty of spending a lot of money in there!Try some local brew!

My fiancé and I are getting married late this summer, and after hearing that Stonelees are now a wedding venue for both the ceremony and reception we thought we would check it out. We arrived early before our appointment so that we could try out the food and service, we had a lovely lunch that was reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly. We were then met by a lovely lady named Chelsea who showed us around the venue which is stunning and provided us with all the information we required. The wedding package is very reasonable and they were very accommodating to all of our needs. Overall we were very impressed and we are looking forward to enjoying our special day at Stonelees.
