Chaplins in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

About a 5 minute walk from the beach and just on the edge of the centre of town this lovely little cafe/bistro is by far the best place to eat in town! Very dog friendly and people friendly, great food, service and nice vibes. A really chill place to visit!

This is my fav spot in town been going for the last three years regular. Me and Bear (my humongous dog) are always welcomed with a big smile (and a dog biscuit). After a walk on the beach I normally just get coffee (which is the best). Every now and again, I have a bagel or special, and it is always top-notch. I went in this week and my laptop was running out of battery and Sarah was crawling around on the floor helping me plug it in (service!). They are such a lovely couple, and they seem to always hire lovely staff too. Sit on the sofa and chill or perch in the window and watch the world go by. Five stars. (My kids also love it- when I take them)

Yummy coffee and cake! Called in after open water swimming with the dog. Couldn’t fault it! Lovely staff and gorgeous apple and toffee flapjack 💕

Popped into Chaplins as we felt a bit peckish and we had some great food here last year. And this time was banging too. The Elvis, Shallow Hal and the NY Salmon Classic were super tasty and were washed down with iced coffee and cappuccinos. If you are in Bude and love a bagel, this is the place to go.

Friendly efficient table service. We only had coffee, but it was very good coffee at a reasonable price.

Lovely looking cafe/restaurant. Menu is small but caters for most people. Unfortunately the food was basic for the price, nothing smaller for children.

Lovely little coffee bar / restaurant /bar , excellent service and food would recommend , ice clean modern decor ideal for families

This seems to be the new popular place for locals I been in twice in last 2 weeks Very nice I have only one complaint I was meeting up with friends in there I order one drink started talking to friends to see what we where planing drink arrived with the card machine did like that I like a place where I pay when I have finished Service more like a take away

Visited here a couple of times for breakfast during our recent visit to Bude. Lots of different options available to suit all tastes. Great coffee and breakfasts, dog friendly and friendly, welcoming staff.

Used this cafe twice for breakfast. Friendly staff, quality ingredients well cooked. Highly recommended we would not hesitate to visit again.

We were visiting Bude whilst on holiday and we went to Chaplins for a bit of lunch. We had the best bagels with the most interesting and delicious combinations of fillings that we have ever eaten. What a lovely cafe with a wonderful menu and super service. I would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely little cafe with delicious food and excellent service - the waiting staff are clearly very well trained and were efficient and mindful of waste (asking what was needed, not just leaving e.g. sugar packets on the table to get spoiled or blow away). Also saw they were equally attentive to dog visitors. Seemed popular with locals and visitors. We visited on jubilee weekend for breakfast.

Found this place in Bude which is dog friendly, went for brunch the atmosphere was very lively, good music, staff very friendly but not over the top, “didn’t find any problem with staff talking about customers as previous review stated”. The bagels are amazing the smoked salmon with poached egg and asparagus was one of the best I’ve tasted I said to one of our party there was so much smoked Salmon it in, the hollandaise sauce could of been a bit thicker but that was my to my taste. One of the party had bacon peanut butter and banana bagel and said it was good, great value for money keep up the good work will definitely be back

good buzzy atmosphere. jazzy background music. very american-diner-ish. be aware, though. the staff are 'clicky' and do talk about customers in their own time, being very rude about anyone they think is 'beneath them'. the word 'chav' is often used and they seem to forget social media goes everywhere these days. shame the front of house is nowhere near as proffessional as the kitchen - which is great. if you visit, mind what you say or who you are with unless you want it discussed and regurgitated within the local community
