Food is really good pub grub. Great family ambience. Fantastic staff and can't do enough for you. Great little local and very welcoming

Two couples out for drinks and completely ruined by children running about and an adult chasing them two couples left and the rest were wondering if they should leave is it worth it

I was visiting a family member who lives close by and after a long journey I was happy to stay local. Although he has been several times because it’s dog friendly I didn’t have high expectations food wise. How wrong I was to judge! I went to order at the bar and was recommended the steak which was their special of the day. I couldn’t believe the quality of the rump I was served , amazing. It would have held its own in a dedicated steak restaurant. The kitchen is small but in view of the public was staffed by calm professionals. The accompanying onion rings and other garnishes were spot on. My relative ordered pizza and was very happy with the choice. They have a small appetite but were readily given a box to take the rest home. The meal was very good value. I would be happy to go again on my next visit. I only take a point off for the noise around the bar area but it was harmless after work banter between friends.

The food was cold and extremely bland no taste at all. There was no other tables to be served so one why was it so poor and two I get why there was no other food ordered The chef was wandering about the pub in the dirtiest clothes you’ve ever seen hopefully the kitchen is a bit cleaner I just would never eat here Dreadful place

Went for a meal at lunch time on Sunday the 12th of March. We ordered 2 steaks and then told they had no steaks left so we ordered 2 steak pies. We had to wait 45 minutes for our meals to arrive and they were cold so we informed the waitress and she took the back. We waited another 10 minutes until the meals were brought back out. The steak pie was hot but all potatoes, peas and gravy were still cold. We informed a male member of staff of this and he just ignored us and walked away. I

We went for a meal, to be honest it was just a frozen meal from a microwave Clients shouting and swearing not ideal for families Unless you went to eat from farm foods in a boys bar I would avoid

Had an excellent family night out great value and excellent service from the staff 👏 looking forward to a return visit soon

Had a lovely lunch today. Nicely presented and delicious. Wish we had room for the desserts but were both full. Nice freshly decorated lounge and bar and spotless toilets. We will be there again soon.

Totally gobsmacked that I paid £4.20 for a fresh orange and lemonade!!! Food was nice but the service from the older waitress and the ridiculous price I paid has let this place down!!!! A smile and friendly manner goes a long way in this industry, poor show!

First time visit. Booked for 3 @2pm. Food arrived 50mins later. Restaurant did not appear busy. Main courses were ok and about average size. Desert was seved a lot quicker tham main courses. £58 for 3 this included 1,1/2 pints 2 GT and a pint of Diet Coke.

Absolutely loved the place ,good Is a lot higher standard than “pub grub “ and staff customer service is impecable, the place is spotless and toilets are imaculate , drinks selection is great ,have Amstel ,Heineken ,morreti ,Guinness and a cider on draft not to forget Heineken 0% for the drivers , been a few times now and will continues to go ,I genuinely can’t fault the place Thanks Gavin and the team

I have been here around 5 times since they opened and have been very happy with my experience every time. Food is amazing and a good portion, my dad and brother have had the desperado burger and said it was the best burger they have had. All staff are very welcoming and polite, great place to have a bite to eat or drinks. Highly recommend!!

We ate out here in November last year, food was amazing, service was amazing and we were gutted when they closed! Returned back with family this year to support reopening but wish we hadn't. When we arrived we were greeted by a girl who clearly shouldn't be in customer service. "Do yeh hay a booking or that?"...isn't a polite greeting in any job. We were sat at a table opposite the kitchen, which isn't an issue but could hear every conversation happening including the use of foul language. Girl who had sat us came and asked us for a drinks order, had to ask us what table number we were at, surely staff have this much training!! Drinks came and were wrong, first alarm bell. As we were deciding on food from the, what can only be described as "bought in menu" which, is quite extensive. A chef waltzed past with his green jacket on, fag in hand, followed by who I can only assume was another chef (not in whites) so couldn't tell. Alarm Bell Two. Put food order in with different girl, who was lovely, really polite and knowledgeable, as she disappeared to place order, we realised there was still no kitchen staff actually in the kitchen! We ordered 2 Fish and Chips, Chicken Salad and Mixed Grill. When the food arrived, the fish is obviously frozen, its not the worst but certainly ain't fresh, the salad came without dressing, and the chicken was..well over-cooked is an understatement and the mixed grill was missing a sausage, peas and tomato!! And by the sounds we weren't the only table to have issues, table of 2 woman sat opposite had 2 salads, both also seemed to without dressing. We ordered desserts, again, all very much made off site and quite frankly, not that good at all. Can't be that hard to microwave Sticky Toffee Pudding surely? We go the issues resolved but just feels like it's been opened in a rush or staff need a hell of a lot more training. The first time we were here our food was piping hot and with us within 10minutes and there seemed to be only one chef in the kitchen, this time there was 2 and food took twice as long and wasn't right, chef should spend less time smoking and more time looking at the menu. If you've got rid of the old chef from last year, get him back because I certainly won't be returning and I assume others will be the same. I came here on the recommendation of a staff members family, frankly, I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Visited the Chapel Tavern for lunch with family. Good value pub grub which was well presented and great value for money. Every single member of staff made us feel very welcome and they were all very professional. They ensured that everyone adhered to the current covid restrictions while also adhering to them themselves. We stayed all afternoon and evening and will definitely be back. I cannot recommend this enough.It was a sunny day and it was good to see people sitting outside in the sun as well as inside. The refurbishment is well done and overall very welcoming.

We visited hoping with the new look pub that it would deliver some nice pub food. Told the pub was fully booked to fine only 2 tables actually eating and 8 lads all just sitting drinking There was no way it was fully booked it was empty. No atmosphere in here at all. The new publican was borderline rude and definitely in the wrong job as clearly didn’t want to be here. The other staff were unfriendly and quite robotic perhaps not trained we assumed. The food a basic 3 out of 10 not very nice at all you would think they would have made an effort with just opening but we wouldn’t recommend any of the meals we had. Expensive drinks and poor food with bad service All in we won’t be back
