Chandni Chowk in Birmingham

Expensive and portion is very small. Ordered smosa chat for take away 1 smasa and just few chick pias in there very disappointed and when ask them its very small portion they said its new management so we are now selling this portion only 👎🏻 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

I was very disappointed with my visit. The food was not tasty at all, and the place was very dirty. Cleanliness and quality need serious improvement. I won’t be coming back.

The food reminds me of home. Very homely and delicious. Favourites are chat and samosa. Service can be better, but overall a good and happy meal.

Amazing food! Would recommend the Veg Thali, with Daal Makhni, Saag Paneer, faiths and the best part fresh hot Gulab Jaman. Would recommend, also the hey have a Jilabi stand outside great for on the go

Best chole bature I’ve had in a long while. Nice flavours and not greasy. Customer service is good staff check in with you to make sure everything is good and that you have everything you need. We love coming here and enjoy a lot of the vegetarian options on the menu. The paroteh are amazing too!

Owner lady is really annoying, behaviour was not good

Just had an amazing meal, Lucky who I assume might be the manager was kind enough to keep the restaurant open for longer to accommodate us thank you Lucky and thank you Chandni Chowk the food and the service was amazing.

We ordered momos which were not cooked properly, we informed the staff about it politely.The lady was very rude and was not accepting that the momos were uncooked and created a scene. Very unprofessional behavior.

Disappointed with my visit. The waitress was trying her best but she couldn't make up for the quality of food. I ordered the vegi momos and after waiting 30 mins, I wasn't happy. The food had a plastic chewy texture. Ate one, left the other 4. The tea was alright. I think they would benefit from keeping the menu simple and only having the items they can cook. There's no point in having items on a menu if you don't know how to cook them.

Fantastic food and service, visited from Bristol and was pleased

Terrible service. Waited over 50 mins for bulk aloo paratha and samosa Chana chaat takeaway order. Asked several staff for update. In end found paratha was made in kitchen but chaat made outside shop front but it was just left there on side by the lady. Lack of communication! Aloo paratha had hardly any aloo in it. Samosa chaat had one small over fried samosa. The new manager did not have a clue what was going on. Women staff hardly spoke English. Disappointing service and not managed well at all.

Atmosphere was good.Fast service and delicious food. Will be back soon to have another mouth watering food. Veggie chicken curry and palak paneer. In dessert I tried gulab jamun it's so delicious the man who served us Rajvinder Singh, Suman Aunti and lucky they give us best services I ever had on Soho road and so welcoming must visit once and try .

One of the best and the finest. The food was amazing and they have a wide range of both veg and non-veg dishes. They even cook according to your taste, so well behaved, you must visit once. Highly recommended.

Good Food, But a Bit Too Sweet The food was flavorful and well-prepared, but it leaned too much on the sweeter side. We ordered the Dal Makhani, Mutter Paneer, and Soya Curry—all of which had great texture and richness. However, the sweetness overpowered other flavors, making it hard to fully appreciate the depth of the dishes. That said, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant dining experience. If you prefer milder or less sweet flavors, it might be worth asking if they can adjust the seasoning.

When I'm in Birmingham I always come here to eat as there food is amazing and the staff are really nice and friendly.

Proper delicious Indian food in affordable prices and very helpful service by Ms.Radha. Very friendly management under Mrs. Suman. Soulful experience overall.

It was my first time being here and I have to say great food and great service, especially by suman. Very caring, very lovely and even cared for our food which was delayed only a bit, which I forgot by the end of the my visit. :)

I went to ask if they do freshly made jalebi. they said they do I pay and get stale n soggy jalebis. Very disappointed.It was never the Chandni chowk’s standard. I used to buy sweets and snacks from the same place for last 10 years.

The food is delicious, and I liked the fact that they ask how spicy or not you want your food to be. Really friendly service and a calm atmosphere. Prices are good too, definitely recommend them.

Under new management they offer is incredible, from classic gulab jamun to perfectly made kaju katli. Every bite tastes fresh and authentic, reminding me of traditional sweets made back home.

Food was very delicious. They have a wide range of veg and non-veg options. They even ask you about your taste and cook food accordingly. If you have a sweet tooth, it's a must visit. Sweets are made of pure desi ghee.

The old staff who was cooking before was gone now and the new staff is soo nice and food is delicious. Tasted many sweets and it is soo yummy. Overall we loved the taste, ambience and the staff of the restaurant

we ordered veg noodles and aloo tikki . we been waiting for it for 20-25 minutes and when it's come noodles were too much oily and too sweet . All the onion and vegetables burnt 🤦‍♀️. we had a very bad experience and we never come back here

Lovely Stuffed Desi/Punjabi style Gobi and cheese parathas. The Best in Birmingham. China Bhaturas were also freshly made and were Delicious. Will Recommend to All🙏🙏

Under the new management the food was amazing. We had the Paratha Thali (2 paratha’s of your choice with dhal or channa). The aloo paratha was legitimately homemade and the lovely lady who cooked the parathas walked over to our table and asked how the food was. She explained how she made the paratha with fresh ingredients and was passionate about her food as she explained the process .I told the lady that I felt as if I was eating at home.The ratio of aloo to atta, with perfect blend of spices was spot on. I would definitely go back to the restaurant again and hope the restaurant maintains the standards as I had experienced. Friendly staff and excellent food. Keep it up!

Paneer samosas and spring rolls are delicious, crumbly and melt in the mouth. Chana bhatura was well cooked and seasoned and quite sweet. lovely. Food is always lovehere and good portion size. I understand there has been a change of management. just carry on please.

It was aa wonderful experience with chandni chonk . The food was amazing. We went to soho road for dinner but unfortunately all the shops were closed only chandni chonk was open we dinein there and greatfully everything was amazing and the staff was also very kindful and they served us very nicely Overall all the experience was wonderful And I personally recommend everyone to hove a vist there one you will enjoy the food alot 👌👌

Management has recently changed - Food was exceptionally good. Even in an area where there is a lot of excellent restaurants, this food here compares well to them and is probably better. Service was quick and efficient. Main means we're all great and there is a great selection of sweets for desert. I recommend this place.

Excellent restaurant with plenty of dine in space. The food was excellent and had a home cooked vibe. Service was unrushed and attentive. I will be back again for more comforting food for sure!

Very slow service in the afternoon, poor little boy was running around all the tables. Ketchup and mayonnaise bottles don't look very hygienic, some other tables and ourselves sent back dirty glasses and plates to be replaced. Overpriced and false advertising, Punjabi samosas are only 50p to take away, they tasted just ok... tea came out far too late. Disappointing experience and wish we went to the place further down.

Had a wonderful experience at Chandni Chowk. The staff was incredibly helpful in explaining the different sweets. Everything we tried was delicious, especially Ladoo and Pinni. Will definitely be back soon!

We went there in a group of 4 for brunch. Had Chole Bhature, Channa-Poori- Halwa, pakore and bread pakoras with some masala chai. Everything was good. Bhatures and pooris were light, crispy. Service was good too.
