I was wedding shopping with family and decided to cum into Chandni chowk, was welcomed very nicely from the staff, polite and friendly, they had loads of options even kids menus, food was amazing, my sister orders a Thali and it was so tasty, than we had dessert and the waffles and fresh juice was perfect n refreshing especially there mojitos, I seen the mixed reviews and I really dmt know y the negativity as everything was amazing to the food to the staff will definitely recommend, thank chandni chowk staff will definitely come in again

Out of every spot I have ever had, chandni chowk has to be my favourite curry house for both delivery and dining in. Staff are absolutely amazing as they greet and seat you as you walk in and are so accommodating when helping me with my order. The food has to be the best Indian food I have ever had with a real authentic home made taste. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. Personal favourites would be the butter chicken with garlic naan aswell as gulab jamun with kulfi

Worst snacks I ever had. Bought Samosa from this shop today i.e. 11th August and rest you can see in the attached photo. Total bought 10 samosa out of which 5 were filled with actual stuffing and rest were just blend with shreded potatoes.

Waited for 1 hour whilst other people who arrived after received their food first. Undercooked chicken tikka pieces. By the end we didn’t not pay for our bill and was offered free dishes and snacks for the outrageous service and quality of food. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I ordered moong daal and roti from the shop at last Sunday. There was an a lot refined oil flowing in daal. It was like made one day ago x tasteless. Please owner ask your staff to cook fresh food. Thanks

I really liked most of the dishes: Pani Puri Dahi Puri Amritsari kulcha Sugarcane juice, Mojito Dahi bhalla didnt seem fresh. Veg Thali I was told was recommended, but I think the curries, Saag and Dal Makhani could have been better. The lady at reception was very humble.

Yesterday I was going to Chandni restaurant soho road . When I enter in restaurant I was order dosa . Waiting waiting after 35 min come in lady and ask me it’s 20 min more late , that’s not good I will never come here.

We recently traveled from Edinburgh to Birmingham for wedding shopping and decided to dine at Chandni Chowk Restaurant on Soho Road. The experience was fantastic and truly worth the visit. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of. My wife, sister, daughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The standout dish for us was the golgappa starter, which was a delightful start to our meal. Each dish was flavorful and authentic, perfectly capturing the essence of Indian cuisine. Chandni Chowk Restaurant made our trip even more memorable with its delicious food and excellent service. We highly recommend this place to anyone in the area and will definitely visit again on our next trip to Birmingham.

Some of the dishes like papadi and samosa_chat was good. However, the service is slow. Blue lighting was a bit too harsh on the eyes, didn't feel pleasant. Not sure about lassi but looked very watery, more like butter milk and sugar cane juice was not what is expected, might be because of sourcing them. To bland and darkish appearance. But definitely not worth £5

Clean place with nice atmosphere, the staff are very pleasant. We were served by Arun who was very polite and professional. The food was very fresh and not at all greasy and very tasty, good value for money. We live 45 mins away but will surely be going here again soon. Thanks.

Yesterday 16/05/2024... I had guests at my house and I bought samosas from this shop which were made of rotten potatoes and I felt bad in front of my guest and we all had an upset stomach.

Great place, bit pricey - we only popped in for a quick drink and chaat, but the prices were a bit much. Eg I think fresh orange or sugarcane juice is around £3 a cup... Tasty food, very authentic and can even be customised to an extent. My wife requested as little spice as possible, and they did it. Lots of room here, though we did visit early afternoon.

We were somewhat let down by the paneer sabji, as it turned out to be quite chewy and didn't appeal to the children. The chicken, while slightly better, still had a chewiness to it. Personally, I would suggest considering other dining options unless there are no alternatives available. However, it's worth noting that the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating.

One of good place where you can get the Indian street food!! The place is small and good, nice food good and hygiene. The prices are cheap compared to other restaurants. Everything was perfect nothing to complain. Bit challenging to find a parking slot. Overall, it’s 4.5/5. Definitely give it a try!! Note: The pics were taken under the blue light!!

Best Pani puri in Birmingham ❤️ amazing Indian food. All the chaat items are delicious. I tried mithai for the first time and it is just delicious. Must try kaju katli and motichoor ladoo, rasgulla .

Went on Diwali Evening and the buffet was on but most of items were finished , the Management pushed it to make few more hundred pounds outcof nothing , they should have shut it down once the food is finished , they were polite but not appropriate way of doing business.

I really enjoyed the tasteful food here, first time here and liked what I had. If I'm back in the area I will be popping in again to try something different and reevaluate the rating.

If you’re looking for simple bit authentic Indian food - this is the place. This place was recommended by my Indian friend so I gave it a go. I tried the chicken curry, saag and tandoori roti. All were fantastic. The lady that owns the place was very friendly and I’m looking forward to going back again soon to explore the menu try something different. Thanks 😊

Best lamb saag I've ever had! Been here multiple times and the food has always been fantastic. The butter chicken is excellent too, all the food feels home cooked and has the authentic Indian taste.

Best food I’ve ever tasted. I had the butter chicken, with plain boiled rice and garlic naan. All washed down with a mango lassi. This place blew my mind and my tastebuds. I will be bringing the whole family next time.

The vegetable thali was totally amazing 😲 👏. Well done chef. I opted for this dish but don't like the palak paneer and was offered an alternative of chick pea curry. Mmmmmm lunch for 2 for less than £15 that cannot be beaten.

Noodle burger is rubbish with lits of turmeric, i don't know who use turmeric in burgers, found hair in it. Spring roll disappointed with onion stuffing only. Totally not happy with their service.

The food was great but, it was in the sweeter end, we had ordered Dal Makhani, mutter paneer and the soya curry. They tasted great but due to sweetness couldn’t get any other flavour. Great service and overall really clean and tidy place.

I love eating at CC. I went today with my partner, her son and his girlfriend. We had veggie curries, an aloo ghobi, rices and a naan. Wonderful tasty food and less than £15ph with diet cokes. Great eatery.

Went for lunch with three family members today. We ordered butter chicken, tandoori roti, chicken tikka roll and a parantha. The butter chicken was completely tasteless. It was bland with no spice at all but just massive amount of methi. The tandoor rotis were super thick and very doughy. The chicken tikka roll was ok but was stuffed with too many red onions and made from curried chicken meaning it was leaking sauce every time you took a bite. The parantha was decent with no complaints from the person eating it. I have not been to this place for a couple of years now but it has seriously gone down hill. The chicken tikka roll used to be absolutely brilliant and used to be made with proper tandoori chicken but now is made with curried chicken. The curries used to be good but not any more. The tandoori rotis used to be good but now are so thick they are hard to eat. The service on the other hand was brilliant. The person servicing us was very pleasant and accommodating. I did not catch her name but she is an asset to this place. We did not complain about the food as I do not believe in arguing with people or looking for a free meal or waiting for replacement dish. However I will not be coming back to this place ever again. It's a shame as this place once upon a time was really good.

I called them and place order of two plates of samosa Chaat . And I said I will be there with in 20 minutes the girl said ok your order will be ready But when I reached all sit free and the boy said your order not ready .now they waste my 30 minutes

Just walked in to Chandni Chowk. Very good food and very good service. They happily changed my order to Veg thali and also instead of Paneer curry brought me chana curry which was delicious. Lassi had right amount of salt hence was well tasty. Gave us mithai complimentary too at the end, which was very nice of them. 🙏👏

The vegetarian options we had were very bad in taste. Dal makhni served was stale, sour and had gone bad. Although when told they brought dal tadka but chane bhature served were also not good. Even the quality of rice served was too bad. Pani puri was the one which we fry at home. We specially came from London but our experience was not good at all. We paid the full amount even though we were served bad and stale food. I will not reccomend anyone to go there.

Sorry for this review but it needs to be said your service was terrible it took one hour for the main course to arrive, a 20 minute delay between the 2 starters I ordered, a lack of communication and basic customer service, disappointing 😞

If the manager wants to go far with his shop I’m reading all your reviews not once you have replied to customers who have complained about your staff! The issues is your staff should smile welcoming your customers with a smile! First priority is sort your staff out and the attitude! Food was fantastic and tasty but if the service is not their then your whole food goes down the drain with unprofessional attitude!! this place use to a year back use to be good in service but now I’ve come here twice and service has been bad slow food dose not come together your waiting ages for next food or tea that’s bad! Their is no sorry of delayed food service nothing! Manger needs to train his staff first!! Their is nothing wrong with your food the problem is coming out on the table bit by bit with attitude of your staff !! Hope this review helps if you’re hungry better go else we’re u will wait long

unorganised restaurant! very rude staff!! The staff don’t no what they doing giving out wrong food this is the second time we have been here on both times services has been very bad waiting for food! Me and my son got our aloo paratha first my other two boys waited half hour for their plain paratha but end up eating my aloo paratha instead because they were very hungry! We kept saying to staff were are the kids food and my husband food as well they just walked passed our table with attitude! My husband ordered Amritsar koucha that came after 40mins we asked for our tea like ten times then right at the end when we all finished then they gave panner paratha with tea with no apologies at all!! stuck up lady! We cancelled our plain paratha! Staff said it’s coming we said no we waited ages and our kids end up eating ours I asked for cold milk for my little boys we waited 15 mins l end up knocking at the kitchen door and made a complain to the chef then the lady comes out with the milk with no apology again! Food was very tasty! The big problem is the manager needs to step in and organise the staff because the manager is hiding behind doors if this was any other English restaurant first they would have said I’m sorry and definitely would have gave discount! Ladies with this attitude doesn’t work in this country especially if you’re running a very busy restaurant needs to be shut down or get proper professional staff rude staff they don’t smile! Managers need new staff step in, please do not go to this restaurant if your very very hungry you will not get your food together it will be separate and you will be waiting very very long time

Please believe all the negative reviews !!! Service was terrible. We waited an hour for our food. Staff wernt even aware of our order and brought us out chips when we hadn't even got all our starters yet. We asked on numerous occasions where our food was and they kept telling us it was coming when it wasn't. People had come after us, ate their food and left. People they knew appeared to get much better service. The bill came to £67 and we were offered a £2 discount for the inconvenience. She stated that's all the discount she could give (which is not even 10% off the bill). I let her know i would be leaving a review about the extremely poor service we got and she didn't seem to care.

I love my Indian veg thali here... Dal makhni was so tasty .. rice and naan were so tasty like Indian taste. Curd with chopped vegetables was so yummy. I bought something in sweet that was yummy too Sweet lassi was somehow not thick, otherwise everything was good❤️

Heard lots about this restaurant but I personally didn't like the food what I have ordered. I ordered Manchurian, which was not proper. On the name of papdi chat I got namak pare n dahi bhalle dipped in sweet yogurt. Not happy at all. They should work on their food.

Worst and most unhyeginic place you will ever visit. Lady on the counter managing this shop is very very disrespectfull. No one will entertain you for first 30 -40 mns and treat you like you are asking for free food. Then you yourself have to find a table as someone leaves and you will sit on the table for 30 mns with leftover food untill the lady on the counter gets time to clean and if you insist to clean early then you will get a reply with an attitude that i am busy and will come when i get time. Its an self service shop where you have to order first and then wait for atlease 50 mns to get your order and worst part is they will give you food as their preference in terms of quantity. It is highly likely that you will suddenly gets a snack item in the middle of main course so a complete disorganised place. Visited on the 1st January, ordered lots of different Indian street food and everything was delicious. Also has a veg thali, chicken & lamb saag. Services wasn’t brilliant but it was busy.

Worst experience, not sure why people are going there to eat. Visited this place after 45 minutes drive and found pathetic hospitality, unprofessional staff, ok quality food. First of all you have to guess which table is about finish and stand near the table to grab the seat. Once you successful to grab the seat, then approach to receptionist/ waiter/cook (one lady is doing all job) to request to clean the table. Definitely you will get the answer, wait (with rude face, definitely with no please) Now you can choose your food and once your selection done, then you have to approach to reception for place order. We ordered few starter snacks like Samosa and Tikki channa chat along with main course breads and curries. After giving order we got our first item after 25 minutes and next item after another 10 minutes, because their first priority is for take away or deliveries. We got our tikki chat while we were finishing our main course, when we ask why it’s delay it should be part of starter, no response, she put on table and gone. I am sorry to say, I never seen this kind of unprofessional behavior in service industry. Food is Ok quality not great, Garlic Nan half backed, thick corners, you can only find garlic and butter in center of Nan, corners will give you plain nan feel. Overall not a place where you can have food with respect.

First and foremost, the customer service Is absolutely appalling. The staff have no etiquettes on how to speak to customers. They’re not friendly at all. I am disappointed in the service and quality of food.

Food is amazing and worth the money. We had mutter paneer and garlic naan and channa batoora. Tasty and worthy every money. Polite and superb service. 2 people very co comfortably eat for under 20 pounds. There is also dosa chat golgabba available outside and everything is 2.50 pounds and you pay them separately. Clean and and people friendly. Appear little cramped due to many tables and chairs. Ambiance could be better.

Food was good but tandoori roti was not good. It was v chewy and difficult to eat. Otherwise ok. Madras chicken was basically saag chicken. So just above average food .
