Ordered 1 meal with extra starter and sundrie £22 received part order after calling was not interested in sending missing components to meal staff hung up and then Refused to answer phone call when called again. WHAT IS THE POINT OF AN ORDER WHEN THEY SEND OUT WHAT THEY EXPECT US TO EAT 1*

Brilliant night everything was perfect. There was a party of 14 of us and everyone loved it and they all said it was the best curries they've ever had. Mo who was looking after us was great. Thanks to all the staff.

me and 2 friends visited last night, the business is is open till 1am, i called ahead to make sure we was okay to go, we arrived at 00:05 to be spoken to rudely, we were made to pay before we had eaten anything, they also tried to charge me more than my friends even thought we had all eaten the same thing! within 20 minutes we had been given the poppadoms starter and mains, didn’t have chance to even finish anything before we was basically rushed out the door! i used to visit this restaurant on several occasions with family and always had a pleasant experience but after last night i won’t be visiting for a while

Bland food that arrived almost cold. Samosas lacked spice and seasoning. Jalfrezi was a greasy tomato sauce too many onions. No spice absolutely bland. The chicken curry I ordered for my son was more spicier. Garlic naan, doughy no garlic. The red sauce for poppadoms was basically red water. I phoned to complain , and they would not refund me.

The hospitality there is incredible! The staff is so welcoming and attentive, making you feel right at home. The environment is cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and soft music playing in the background. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal with friends or loved ones. Trust me, you'll leave Bengal Palace with a big smile on your face. It's definitely worth checking out! 😊🍽️

I ordinarily visit this place as part of a group of eight; this is a monthly arrangement with my father's friends. My father and I however got the date wrong; accordingly we were the only diners. Nevertheless we enjoyed our meals. The service was prompt but not rushed; also the staff was friendly. It isn't the best Indian/Bangladeshi food you will eat, and the website needs updating to represent the slight price increase; however it is certainly value for money and I shall return when we get the date right.

Visited on a Monday night after buying a eat all you can Groupon deal, was shown to our table but that was the only time we saw a waiter, not offered any poppadoms and was not asked at any time if we wanted a drink at any time during our visit. A good choice of starters on offer and all were very good, about 6 mains but all average and not much taste so based on this and the lack of service would not return

For the price you pay the food is average. Staff are pleasant and the overall experience isn't too bad. But what the staff should tell you before you sit down is that you have to pay in cash! They only tell you this at the end of your meal. This makes things awkward if you are paying on credit card and don't have a bank card on you, thus asking a family member or friend to pay on your behalf. There is cash point outside but there's a £2 charge but to give credit to the restaurant then do deduct this off your bill. So be aware, cash only if you eat here!

Have been using this place for take-away for my weekly fix of Indian food. Delicious food that has authentic, rich depth of flavour. There are other places I've tried locally but tended to be rather generic and unimpressive flavour wise (even when going by reviews as some people prefer that.) Happy to have found this place. Also the restaurant itself has a nice, lit ambience, nostalgic and comfortable. 5*****

Have been regularly coming here now for 6 months ,with the dine in offer any starter,main and side £9.99 . How could we not ,the service and fresh food has always been cooked to perfection, always will be our cheeky little local to enjoy .

If You Want to go to a Traditional Indian Restaurant where the Settings are Old School,IE-You have Got plenty of Booths and Dimmed Lights ETC,Food Brought on On Rolling Trays and Friendly Staff this is The Place To Go. As For The Food We have been going to This Establisment for over 20 years,for me The Food is Great and Plentiful ,We Always Enjoy,Plenty Of Selection but not Too Over The Top Like Some Restaurants,just the right Amount on The Menu To Keep Customers Happy. I’m Also Happy With The Price here But with not Too Many Other Establisments,they put up their Prices to A Ridicoulous Level We Don’t use Anymore,Despite Coast Of Living Crisis Etc. Highly Recommend Here,and also Also really Good On Deliveries.

I wouldn’t feed my starving children food from this place. No staff shown any sort of decorum I had curry flicked on my white T-shirt. My friend got charged a right leg for a double vodka coke and it was flat. My other friend wanted a bottle of water and got charged a days wage. The food was laughable. The naans come out looking like frisbees , my prawn rice come out with no prawns in I have seen more prawns swim in babs mill lake than on that plate. I hope no one dines here as it was sh*te

¡La actitud del dueño es asquerosa! ! ! Llegamos para una comida y me dijeron que se "sentara" mientras limpiaban el piso. El dueño vino más de 10 minutos después y le preguntó "qué quieres". Comencé a dar mi orden a pesar de estar sentado en la sala de espera. Pedí comida con salsa extra en mi plato para que me dijeran "puedes tomar una cucharada". Dije que pagaría por la “salsa extra” para que luego me dijeran “puedes tener 2 cucharas”. Pregunté "si estoy pagando por mi comida, ¿no podría tener tantas cucharas como quiera?" La actitud entonces fue asquerosa hasta el punto en que salí. Entonces el dueño me gritó diciendo "vete a otro lado".¡Absolutamente asqueroso! ! ! Salimos de la ciudad y nos encontramos en Kity's Green. , un área "poco atractiva", tenía una pinta en el White Hart, no recibió un disparo. . . En nuestra visita, que era bastante tarde debido al trabajo, llegó el 10. Las 30 pm, yo y mi esposo nos sentamos en nuestra mesa, 15 minutos antes preguntamos si necesitábamos una bebida. Otros 10 antes de que llegaran las bebidas, solicitamos poppadoms y luego nuestra comida principal fue a las 11 pm. 11. 30 poppadoms llegaron con salsas y ensalada de cebolla que era muy agradable. 12. 10 am NINGUNA comida principal, cortésmente pregunté por cuánto tiempo sería el rudo camarero poco profesional que se encogió de hombros y respondió pronto, supongo.No es feliz en este momento casi 2 horas y solo los poppadoms realmente no son buenos.Manteniendo la calma tomando otra copa ahora es 12. 40 am TODAVÍA NO hay comida principalIncluso mi muy paciente esposo ahora se está molestando un poco.Me acerqué al muy grosero mesero de nuevo en lo que respecta a nuestra comida que en realidad habíamos estado esperando 2 horas, me respondió diciendo que si no está contento puede ir a otro lugar.INCREÍBLE, tan molesto por esta reacción como lo fue mi esposo, ambos nos levantamos y salimos.No volveré ni recomendaré este horrible restaurante a nadie si algo le dirá a la gente sobre nuestra terrible experiencia.

Fuimos a Birmingham para ir a un espectáculo en el NEC y nos alojamos en una casa de huéspedes locales. Nos encontramos este restaurante en una hilera de tiendas cerca de la casa de huéspedes. La comida estaba muy buena, que me había olvidado cómo buena comida restaurante indio. Lo único es que en las mesas había ofertas de £9. 95 para una comida determinada, pero nos cobraron el precio completo (y no me gusta quejarme) aunque elegimos por la señal. Vine aquí 13 / 02 / 2017 para disfrutar de una comida tranquila y el lugar nunca parece me decepcionó. El personal es siempre muy acogedor y la comida es acorde al precio. Realmente creo que la comida es la mejor para un indio dentro de la zona verde y cruzar marston incluyendo azulejos. Estado viniendo aquí durante años y lo seguiré haciendo para muchos más. He sido el palacio de bengala un par de veces antes de mi visita la última noche, visitas previas eran buenas, pero la atención del camarero era pobre, pensé que era un maleducado y arrogante, de la manera que él tomó el pedido. Él saca entrantes cuando era claramente listo para ellos, nos dice el cliente, que siempre trae consigo el primer plato de 5 a 10 minutos después de entregar los poppadoms y salsas. We were in Birmingham for the Caravan and Camping exhibition and the Guest house did not serve food. This happened to be the nearest restaurant. What a lucky find! Everything was first class. From the luxuriant carpet to the authentic, tasty and very reasonable food. Service was quick and efficient and staff were friendly and very professional. Please try it if you are near it really is a lovely place to eat.

After visiting tonight as a large group, we were not impressed. Although some said there food was ok, I ordered a paneer shashlik to start which was overcooked and not nice at all and then a lamb balti which had no taste and was oily with a garlic nan which was more like a plain nan. The service was terrible we did not feel welcome at all. We took a cake in with us as the reason we visited was for my Dad's birthday so when we asked for the cake to be brought out they just placed the cake still in the box in front off us they couldn't even be bothered to light the candles we provided them with. And to top the evening off when we asked for the bill they have over charged us by £20 clearly hoping we didn't realise because when it was questioned we did not get a apology he tried to say that he had charged everybody the same when not everybody had the meal deal that they offer. He took half hour to take our orders then had the nerve to try and charge everybody the same price.

Always come here as a regular. Food never changes. Superb for the money. One of the best indians i know foodwise.

This is our local Curry House. We always have our celebrations here. My Son takes his girlfriend here for date night and myself and the hubby do as well. Fantastic friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. Can't rate this place high enough. Take out service is also good.

Lovely meal, hot and freshly cooked to order. Both the taste and smell of our meal was just delicious. The presentation was basic but it didnt need anything fancy. The staff were so polite and helpful too. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended. 4 stars. The seating and decor was a bit dated but that is the only negative thing I can say.

Visited the Benghal Palace last night and as always the food was very good and the service was attentive but not in your face.

I stayed in a guest house piror to flying from Birmingham airport. I found this restaurant and liked the atmosphere. The food was delicious I had Tandoori chicken to start followed by King Prawn Zafron. The main arrived in a pan heated on a mobile stove. The meal was well served and the cost was under £20 . Well worth a visit.

Very friendly service, good prices and food. Like the semi private cubicles. Good for eating in or take away. Lovely dhansaks. Will be back soon!

We have been using The Bengal for 2 years every wkend for either a sit down meal or a take away,however the past few months bad service and attitude we will never visit againOur order was one of two curries mixed together so we complained and got told our next meal would be free so we left it a few weeks and then went back where nothing was free so paid in full,got our food home and again the order was mixed up and nothing what we ordered so I rang them and has to go and pick the right order up,nobody said a word just dangled the fresh curry order over the counter without a sorry or anythingBad business and being rude will not get regular customers through the door !!!

I'm annoyed with myself that i've never been here before even though I pass it everyday!The main reason for going is that I saw one of their flyer and was intrigued by a Passandra Chicken Curry and I was not disappointed. It is a creamy sauce made with almonds and pistachios. The chicken was very good quality. The mushroom rice tasted freshly prepared. The peshwari nan isn't the best one i've ever tried, could do with more filling but I struggled to eat any of the nan as the curry and rice were more than enough.We didn't make a reservation as the flyer stated it seated 90 people.We had starters of poppadoms which came swiftly after ordering. The mains came an appropriate amount of time later and served off a trolley where they have the balti on a ring.My daughter and her partner really enjoyed their balti and kurma and ate all of the main curry which she doesn't usually do ~ very good sign!If you pop to the spotless toilets you can see into the kitchen area and this looked clean with an organised chaos feel about it.All the staff were very friendly, the set up of booths for groups of 4 was really nice as you felt you had your own private seating area.We're already planning our next visit. This is now our new local curry house :-) if that changes, I will update!

This restaurant cannot cope with parties more than 4 this was the second time we have visited with a party of more than 8.we ordered our meals at 8.25pm and got the starters at 9.30pm followed by the main at 9.50pm.the attitude of the mangers stinks they do not give you am update on your food they do not check everything is ok they just leave you waiting...Disgusting we will not return

I used to live not far from this "restaurant" so when a friend of mine received some good news, she asked a group of us to go for a meal at Benagl Palace. The inside looks very nice, though slightly cramped. We had a waiter come up to seat us, and that was when the problem started! We went to sit in a boothed area, but he said that is wasn't the best area then put his hand on his stomach while moving it away to indicate large while pointing at me!! Now at the time I was overweight, but I was not very large by any ones standards and could have easily fitted in the seat!! From that point on it just went downhill. We waited 20 minutes for our starter!! Which was poppadoms, a further 30 for our main courses, we were ID'd each and every time we ordered drinks, even though we were the only people in the restaurant and it was the same gentleman serving us every time. When we asked where the toilet was we were told that they currently didn't have one!! Another friend who I was with replied that as a sit down restaurant they had a legal obligation to have one, at which he replied well we don't and huffed off. After finishing our meals we were then hurried out of the restaurant. I have not visited them again nor do I have any desire to, I have since moved out the area so I cannot comment on what the establishment is like now, but unless alot is changed then I definitely won't be going again to find out!

Been here about three times. Effort is put into the presentation of starters. Main meals I'm not as keen on. Friendly if not always efficient service. Go for the meal deal. BIG problem is they wouldn't do the meal deal for takeaway (and miss out on the lager profit?).

Where do I start........I decided to try this Indian restaurant as I live locally and thought it may be nice for me, my partner and my daughter to try so I could have an alcoholic drink with my meal and did not need to drive.I first went in and asked for a table and a high hair for my toddler, they said they did not have a high chair. My partner stated that was ok and that we had a booster chair at home which he would walk back and get. Me and my daughter were seated at the table whilst my partner went for the chair.When the waiter came over he asked what we wanted I asked for some poppadoms for my little girl and was told I could not order them until I brought a drink as they did not serve food before drink (my little girl was hungry and a little restless at this point). I left it at that and ordered drinks. When the waiter brought the drinks he went quickly so I waited 10 minutes in an absolutely dead restaurant until I could manage to finally grab a waiter to order them. When they came they were last nights poppadoms and were with your usual sauces, well I say usual both sauces looked like they were nuclear and glowed an overly coloured green and red.When my partner got back the editor came over and asked what we would like to eat, I have him mine and my partners request and then asked for a small portion of korma for my child I was told they did not do child portions and that she would either have to pay for a full curry or eat one of ours, when I said ours were too hot he suggested that I should eat the korma then. I told him I didn't like Korma and that I thought it was ridiculous that I was going to have to order a full curry for a maximum if 3 spoons from it. He told me he did not know of any restaurant that offered half sizes and when I disagreed and told him I had never had this issue before he said well that was the rules. I said that we were not going to eat then and we would like the bill. Eventually he agreed that they can actually do this.When the meals came out the waiter placed an extremely hot plate in front of my 16 month old which I quickly moved away, the waiter then said that I was not allowed to put the plate where it was as it was in a menu and it would wreck it. I moved the menu from underneath and he took my partners menu, rolled his eyes and walked off.The food was like the sauces, toooo much food colouring and frankly I have had better curries from Asda, the redness of the curries was shocking and the chips tasted reheated. What made this meal even worse is that every time the waiter came past he offered me a very dirty look which then also left me with indigestion.None of us finished our meal and we left within 45 minutes, and to add insult to injury he only knocks £1.50 off my daughters meal and we were charged £5.00 for a pint of Cobra. I do not mind paying large drink prices in good establishments but this is far from Lasan as North Pole South Pole!To be fair we were maybe silly for going in there as when a curry house is dead on a Saturday night in Birmingham something is obviously wrong. The food in itself is just edible but the service we received made it all hard to swallow!On the last note however there was a young gent behind the bar who seemed friendly and eager to help. Maybe the other guy should receive some training from him!Do not go here, they do not deserve the custom.!!!

the sauce for the starters was kept in fridge - probably overnight - the main meal was not even hot had to be asked 3 times for it to be hot - avoid this place as i was bad - dont even go there unless you want to be ill - me and my boyfriend were ill - food does not come hot from the kitchenthe chicken was reheated and made me ill

Well a nice start taken right to a table right away and asked if we would like some poppadoms but when ordering our main meal it turned up but still no poppadoms turned up?The service was fast and a little friendly and the food was ok but the pint i had tastes like vinegar and i had it changed ok good but when paying the bill they tried to charge me for it.Got home and the misses had a dodgy tummy but i felt fine

We have visited the Bengal palace many times and have always had a decent meal.Our last visit was on 29th December, and once again we had a nice curry & a pleasant time.7 of us visited in total, all having starters, mains, sides and a few drinks. Costing less than 20 quid a head with tip.I would definitely reccomend a visit if you are in the area. Good food, cheap prices, nice service.
