If I could rate it higher I would! the food was outstanding! the service was great and the restaurant is beautiful and spotless! My new favourite Indian spot in Tamworth. and I'm originally from small heath in brum so I'm basically a Curry connoisseur! 🤣 100% recommend this place for anyone looking for some 10/10 Indian food in Tamworth. will be back again for sure.

Now, this is one place if it on your tick list for a meal out with friends, don’t bother. Yesterday I booked a table for 13 for our monthly outing. Upon arrival, the restaurant was quiet, really quiet. We arrived and were seated and the two gents working just left us there, when I mean left us there I mean just left us there. We sat and waited for twenty minutes to be acknowledged for a drink, nothing. The two working were to busy working out how much there takeaway orders were going to be on a calculator. A further five minutes past and the waiter came over to our table, about time!!! He did nothing more than tell us to keep the noise down. Another five minutes past and we got up and left. We left and went down the road to Deli Divan where we were welcomed with open arms and has one of the best curry’s ever. So if you are tempted to try champagne, leave the cork in. This place is pathetic.

Had a fantastic curry, super tasty and generous portions. Would definitely recommend the naga and saag chicken and paneer. Definitely 5*

Been visiting for 16 years. Muj, Kahlid and Gee and the rest of the team are very special people. Love the food, atmosphere and everything about this restaurant. Despite not living in Tamworth anymore, we will alway return when we can. Don't ever stop Muj.

Booked this for new years eve, always liked it here but was a little disappointed with the service although i know they were busy. We were basically pushed out the door once our meal had finished. Slapped the bill on the table which we hadn’t asked for. I do understand they were busy but we were still paying customers and should always be given a good level of service. I will return however i feel you need this feedback.

My friends and I had a meal at Champagnes on the 25th November 2023. Whilst the food was to the usual standard the atmosphere and the service left a lot to be desired. A busy Saturday night, so you expect it to be busy and a it rowdy, but the table by us just didn’t seem to care about the noise they made or the people around them. Not the fault of the Restauraunt but the could have done more to quiet them down. The biggest disappointment was the waiting time for the food. Everything took an age, starters, mains. Other people were also commenting on the wait time. Two very noticeable things were that there was no wait time to pay the bill and it seemed that the people in the Restauraunt were paying (in waiting) whilst mobile food orders went out the door. My advice would be that if you can’t maintain both types of customer, do one or the other, but don’t expect people to sit in a restaurant and wait whilst you send food out the door….

We booked a table here for 15 people. And upon arrival it wasn’t ready. We was left standing at the door for 15 minutes. Once seated we had to ask them if we could order drinks after waiting 15 minutes for service. Again. Another long wait for the drinks to arrive. When the food came it was mediocre at best. And that’s being generous. Not once did they ask if we wanted more drinks. We had to fight to get the attention of staff. In a town where there’s several food Indian restaurants. You’d think looking at their appearance this would be a decent restaurant. I’ll never go back here.

I order from hear quite alote however I will not be ordering again the poppadoms were stale ordered garlic naan got plain and the chips were raw and covered in oil went in the bin

We had a wonderful meal here. The stand-out was the Rupchanda Ocean - an amazing fish curry which my son already wants to eat again. Keep up the great work guys and thanks for your hospitality

Terrible service, waiters are damn rude

Slightly disappointed by the service we received last night. Me and my partner went for food, but my partner doesn't have the biggest appetite after a recent hospital operation. When ordering a meal to share, we was told "we don't do this.......but this once we will!". It made us feel real bad like we had asked something totally out of order. Very unprofessional service!

Technically would not be interested to give even single star for the bad management over there, we speak our day well at a resort in Tamworth. We are friends of 6 adults and 4 kids we booked the table and went out to there and and order basic food to start with and they refused to serve us post sitting in the restaurant stating the order to too small. Where we ordered 2 started and 2 mains and side dishes again they are expecting to order 10 dishes to begin with. I totally hate to say they felt no dignity In serving us at all and asked us to leave

One of the very nasty and cruel staff over there. They asked us to leave stating we ordered less with 4 kids at table who is hungry after having a long day at resort. The local manager did not even talked to us in humanly manner. I feel some one like them is should not fit hospital sector who does respect people based of race

My experience is utterly disappointing, I was one of member who entered the restaurant with 3 families. there was no kids chair (got an advise to bring up my own baby chair), soon after ordering the food, the manager came up to the table and speaking to us in an arrogant way to order more food. We have already mentioned that we will order more once we start eating, the manager is very particular about the ordering quantity ( eg: 2 medium chicken ordered, manager replied us to order more as its not worthy, that too in an arrogant way). We finally ended up leaving the restaurant because we can't order to the quantity they was to do.

I’ve only got two Indian restaurants I eat from in tamworth and that’s champagne and kudos. The quality of food and service is above and beyond I had the sizzling tower from champagne and it was so delicious and flavoursome highly recommend. The decor is amazing feels like a proper Indian heritage restaurant

Friday night meal and despite it being busy the service was quick and polite & attentive. Food was delicious all of it and we had loads. The prices are great value we had the most expensive things on the menu plus loads of Cobra water starters all fit under £60. Would definitely recommend

Lovely place , staff very friendly & food is excellent, would highly recommend x UPDATE !. Me & my family have dined at Champagne for a number of years & have never had any complaints about the food or service. However a party of 5 went for fathers day, the food was good as usual, but the service was absolutely appalling, the young waiter who wears the flat cap was as polite as always but the owner/manager was really rude, he had a grumpy face on him. We waited ages before our drinks order was taken, the food when it arrived was practically thrown on the table, we wasn't asked if we wanted more drinks, so we asked for the bill, the towels were thrown on the table & also the bill. It really wasn't a pleasant experience & we certainly won't be rushing back

I had to put this review ,which I don't normally bother with ,but I feel I had too as it was so so bad . We arrived bank holiday Monday evening ,there was only 2 other people in there .The greeting was OK and drinks came my glass smelt of stale lager ,but I didn't say anything ,then the food came well it was the worst curry I had ever had ,it was tastless and more like a stew ,it wasn't hot and my lamb was so chewy ,I could not eat it . We called the wairt over and said how awfull it was ,and he just said sorry We suggested he sack the chef as it was so bad .we paid the bill and we will never return there again .

Poor service tonight not enough staff food undercooked no real customer service usually very good mentioned about the food being under cooked and the bill was literally thrown at us by the manager shame he needs to go on a customer service training course, having worked in hospitality for 30 plus years as a manager customer is always right. Will not come back after many years of loyalty

Decided on the spur of the moment to go and didn’t regret one bit, staff so friendly and welcoming and food was amazing as always had a fusion dish as couldn’t decide what to have washed down with a few cold beers and shared a bottle of wine with my wife. Was even cheeky at the end and asked if I could buy one of the Cobra glasses of them and they let me have for free. Have just booked again as I wrote this as I can’t believe the negative reviews

First time we have been to this restaurant (to celebrate a birthday) and we don't know why we haven't been before! Staff were very friendly and attentive, atmosphere and decor were fresh and bright and clean, service was incredibly prompt and the food delicious! Will definitely be going again!

A pleasant surprise. Came as a last moment walk-in planning to go elsewhere but that was closed. Interesting menu, very fair pricing and good size portions. All fine but just a little soul-less on a quiet night. Will definitely be back.

Me and my husband went here Saturday night. Starters were ok but the mains were awful 😞. We both asked for soft amb not tikka lamb which the waiter said was the best. After almost 40 minutes our mains arrived but instead of lamb I got slices of steak and my husband got chicken and lamb tikka. When we complained there said they'd change it but We weren't prepared to wait another 40 minutes. We refused to pay for the food and just pay for the bottle of wine we had they said okay. On leaving we were told not to come back. If that's how they teat genuine complaints I'd rather go elsewhere. Absolutely awful service would not recommend this place to any one.

Lovely looking restaurant and attentive service, but with poor cuisine and presentation, we ordered 5 sharing dishes and all but one (a dollop of not very tasty Saag) came on huge flat eating plates. The king prawns in the main dish weren't tandoor cooked, the sauces weren't fantastic flavour either! We were told we should have asked for sharing dishes and the king prawns are not served tandoori cooked - very disappointing!

Best Indian cuisine in Tamworth, always 10/10 on food & service. I moved over to Tamworth a year back, we tried all of the local Indian takeaways and nothing compares to Champaign restaurant! I have visited champagne regularly for a number of years. The service is absolutely incredible. On my most recent visit the food was better than ever, meat was very tender with the curry, Naan was beautiful and the mint sauce is to die for. Service from the boss Muj was amazing. Special thanks to G and Khaled for making us feel so welcome.

Went here this evening for a colleagues birthday meal. On beginning our starters, she stopped eating and pointed out to us that there was an alive worm wriggling around on her plate. When mentioned to the waiter, they didn’t apologise just quickly removed the plate and offered her another starter which she declined. The waiter stated that the worm must have came from the salad however, I’ve never seen a salad worm like it, small and red as if it had been feeding on blood!?!? When the mains arrived we barely ate and if it hadn’t been a colleague birthday meal, I would have immediately left. The starter was removed and free but no other apologises or discount. I will never again return to this restaurant, and to be honest it’s put off going out to eat all together. If you want a tape worm though I would 100% recommend.

Totally disgusted in our visit to this restaurant this evening We booked a table for a birthday celebration for ten people. Having received the starter my friend who’s birthday it was had a worm on her plate amongst her food Having found this we summoned the waiter to inform him Even to finding this on your plate was bad enough. However he made light of this saying it must of been in the lettuce and would take it off the bill Unfortunately due to this no one then was able to eat their dinner or enjoy the rest of the night At the end no one apologised or even a sorry to spoiling our celebration not even a compensation made to her we were a large group of local nurses and we have used this restaurant our dept in the local hospital will never return disgusted by the attitude and having to pay full payment of this not even a manager to say sorry or something in return to her very quick to take everyone’s money. All I can say is avoid this place like the plauge you don’t know what your eating health warning be warned

As a regular customer and that being every week there are a few things you can put up with but when it begins to be a regular thing then it's not on. Tonight Saturday 18th June we went for a meal to Indian fusion as we genuinely like the place, anyway after stopping tables as there were 2 large parties in we had our usual poppadoms and pickles. But had to wait at least 20 minutes for our mains which were two portions each of Indian fusions . The pilau rice we ordered was barely warm and our Currie's were luke warm one curry should have been plain chicken but was tikka . this seems to be a constant thing every week but when your paying nearly £50 for a meal you expect some things to be right. I got the impression that as a regular customer you didn't count on this occasion as they seemed to be more interested in the parties who obviously were going to spend more we didn't count . I made a complaint to Abdul who needs to change his attitude this was the first time we seen him tonight as he's never been there before it's always been G that served us . Pilau rice and one main of the fusion was taken off the bill but it still wasn't good enough for what we experienced. Pity they wasn't as quick to bring out your mains hot as they were to hover over you for the bill , that's the last time I spend my money there never again.

A group of us regularly meet up there with and comsune a wide variety of what's on the menu. Positive comments are always relayed to the staff

Been out for enough curry's in my life and this got to be one of the worst. When you order a pint and it's off isn't a great start so had to switch to over priced bottles. Starters was OK but luke warm. Main was so bland and the naan what a joke store bought and not even cooked properly.. took of bill. Even the one waiter didn't want to be there . Hands in pocket slouching about. Other waiter really could of done with a shower tbh .nothing more off putting than having them lean across table to collect glasses etc and getting a strong whiff of body odour .

This was my 1st dining experience at fusion and will be my last. I had the champagne special curry with mixed meats as my main. It was bland and lacking flavour and for the meat quality was poor, lamb was in strips not chunks that was chewy and no taste, prawns where strimps that were no bigger than my finger nail and chicken was strips and bland shocking curry.

Faultless experience and as I eat on the hot side they did me a tindaloo strength curry which was so well balanced with heat vs taste......extra green chillies on top of course.........

Been frequenting this place for a few years and it's always been outstanding! Dine in and takeaway it always delivers good quality food at a good price. Highly recommend the lamb balti and chicken pathia; they are our go to curries.

Easily the worst curry I have ever eaten. The aesthetics of the restaurant are poor but thought we'd try it nonetheless. Says they take dine card on the app but was refused this when i arrived. My curry looked and tasted the same as my partners despite being separate dishes. Beer was as flat as the atmosphere in the restaurant. Would never return again even if you paid me. Get a microwave curry from Co op, save yourself a few quid and the trauma of this gaff.

Great food and service, One of the best I've had, And I've been to loads all over the west midlands, can highly recommend Chicken Pathia, I'd give that 6 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 So two years ago,. Every meal was great,. Then I had the odd bad one, over the last few months, but now I'd say the last 4 have been average at best and give me a dodgy stomach, the last one gave me and the Mrs a bad stomach the next day,. I'm sorry to say it's time to move on,. Not sure what's changed but I'm not the only one that says this, a couple of friends said the same,. If the owner reads this I think maybe you need to investigate what's changed, it's a shame as the staff are very good and it's a nice place, I might try eating in one day,. But I will never order a takeaway again. I only gave it 3 stars because the side dishes etc were nice. Really I feel I should give it 2 star but that feels a bit mean, So all things being relative, and me being about honesty, my mrs has found out she is celiac, and I have found out I’m lactose intolerant, I already had a egg allergy, so a real good possibility of both of us eating something that we should probably avoid, I have left the two previous reviews in place to help people understand that it’s not always evident right away and the problem could be the customer and not the restaurant etc. Also comparing this food to what’s available where I live now, Cornwall wouldn’t know a good curry . Yes some are better than others but even the best isn’t anywhere near as good as these. The food here is like lovely.

Today it was sadly last time me visiting this place. Please do note i have been loyal customer for over 10 years. I must say how much i have been disappointed with quality of the service today. I would say extremely POOR and LACK of ANY BASIC MANERS . I had today takeaway and I did ordered inside .I have sit down in usual place. We went here for my birthday on a Wednesday night, and were the only table for about 30mins, which then only doubled. The choice was very good, and we had difficulty in choosing what to eat. The service was spot on, the staff were lovely and the food was excellent and not at all expensive. We had a fabulous night and will definitely be going back. They also deliver, so we have found our new takeaway. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Have been coming here for well over ten years and they've never let us down. Fantastic food, beautiful tasting with great quality ingredients and always full of meat. Couldn't recommend the service enough too. Jay especially is a great guy who really knows how to look after your table. Enormously disappointed. Have ordered several times before and it was always great (to the point we were genuinely considering switching our loyalties - our normal, long term first choice had an unobtainable tone tonight when we phoned) but this time it was truly awful, a complete waste of money. Appetisers hadn’t been near a marinade and were devoid of any flavour beyond the chicken itself (no we don’t have COVID !). Sadly the mains were lacking in both meat content and quality and were either completely bland (think really dull chicken casserole) or simply spiced up with loads of hot chilli powder stirred in.

I stay over at my GF's in Tamworth at weekends. At least once a month we have a Champagne takeaway. OMG, I've never tasted Indian food like it, ever. I live nr Lichfield so have a choice of a load of Indian restaurants and takeaways from Rugeley and Lichfield. I've tried them all, until i met this fantastic place, Champagne. Had it for over a year now, and it blows away the competition here in Tamworth also Lichfield etc. My favourite is Meat Rogan Josh, with aloo vindaloo hot. Keema rice and chili nann, with chips. 10/10 guys, also tried the Kangaroo, wow explosive tastes, unbelievable. Never tasted anything like it, I'll be having it regularly too. Anyone that sees this review will look no further anymore, Champagne for the finest cuisine for miles. You will try, and stick for good believe me.

Despite very unusual times with covid-19 and lockdown. This restaurant was still open for deliveries which was great.Rang and placed our order and food didn't take long to arrive. Food was still as high a standard as previous. Friendly staff on the phone, and the delivery staff were always very pleasant.

Great Food, Great Service. Traditional Indian, Restaurant with take out options

This is a regular place for us to eat. It's spacious and airy with a lovely atmosphere and great staff. They are always happy and friendly and attentive to your every need. Never once had a bad meal.

We had recently moved into the area and met friends here for a meal. Never rushed to order, let us catch up but kept us hydrated. Have now tried other restaurants locally and Champagne is certainly the best of the bunch.

My go to Indian if I want to eat good quality food even if it is slightly more expensive than some. Quality doesn't come cheap. Portion sizes are very good for the price. It also has some more unusual menu items that I've not seen anyone else in Tamworth offer. As for the eating in experience itself, I've never felt rushed, the place is generally not loud (clientele on the night dependent obviously) and the background music is usually quite good for a restaurant. If you're in a big group of people I have found them a little reluctant to split the bills per couple but they will accommodate that thankfully (it's a must when some aren't drinking alcohol especially). I don't believe you will be disappointed if you eat here as I never have been.

Staff rude and threatening towards us for using a bin

Having rejected our first choice of dinner, we ended up here, as a Saturday night walk in. They greeted us, and found a table. Meal with 3 older kids - quick, efficient and very tasty. Where would we be without these great curry houses in Uk? We enjoyed a really good meal, before heading back to the Snowdome for tobogganing.

Delicious Indian food. 20% discount on collection of Takeaway as well. 5/5 stars.
