Amington Inn in Tamworth

Good looking Locals pub. Good atmosphere but poor at everything else. Didn't book and there were no tables available, but staff didn't try to find us one or tell us when one should be free, we ended up just sitting at a free table in bar which was not clean. But when asked, the staff did come and wipe it over. Which felt typical of the service always pushed by us asking. Food was nothing to shout about eiter, edible, but nothing more to make me return. Plus, the toilets were in disrepair, definitely in need of some maintenance. May try again in the future just in case this was a poor day, but I can't recommend it on this visit. 😢

This is the second time we have frequented this establishment, as a group of six. And again have been greated by Rachel, whom has again been absolutely outstanding to add to a fantastic experience, with food, company and your very efficient staff... will definitely return again... brilliant experience.....

Food was lovely, started coming every week for the 2 for £13.49 and the staff are lovely, Lucy is great and the pub has a lovely atmosphere!

This was our second visit. The food is always of really high quality and there are always a lot of great money-saving deals on. The bar is well stocked with a variety of drink options too. Our server Dani was really polite and attentive too.

First time visit, Bobbie was great, most of the food was great just the burger was a bit hard. Overall not a bad little pub

What a great place. Exceeded all my expectations. Marvellous food. Great selection of beers and wines. This is a must place go. Have not long been out of a Secure Mental Health Unit and this brought my belief back in Society. Well done all top class place

To be fair the food wasn't fantastic today which was a shame as the service was really good. The chips weren't very nice, dry and not the best flavour. The lamb on the flatbread was quite dry also. I ordered the biscoff cheesecake and I'm sure it was off, it was very dry and tasted sour. I took it back and it was replaced with the fudge cake which was lovely . As I stated before the staff were good but the food let it down.

Was ok, nothing special. Roast turkey dinner was a processed turkey roll. Some vegetables were mushy and lukewarm. Roast potatoes were perfect. Noisy bar and slow service

I had the tikka tandoori skillet. Lovely flavour although could've done with having the onion bhaji on top rather than underneath the chicken as it went a bit soggy.

came in today with friends and my daughter she loved the park and all the staff were so lovely and accommodating,food came out pretty quickly and was hot and tasty i was served by lucy and connor will definitely be coming back.

Popped in on our first date, the girls made me feel very safe. I was on a first date and very nervous, I didnt know the gentleman that well. They made me feel very safe as a women out on a date. Will definitely be going back again as a couple and even on my own Tracy

What a shocking experience, I have never tasted food that bad, first of all the lasagne was watery and was a basically a microwaved meal could have literally gone to the shop and brought it and did it myself, the salad was dry even the cucumber which is 90% made out of water, nothing was cooked properly and we had no check back and left feeling like I was gonna throw up luckily the coke had so much flavour cause the food had none. Will never be going back!

Food was ok service very good . But to many dogs some on seats, there should be a dog only room for those of us that are uncomfortable around dogs.

Fantastic Welcome. Guiness was well kept, so congratulations to Cellar staff. Bar staff were ex optionally friendly and welcoming. Sunday Roast was amazingly tasty. Some Venues you go to, the food is over cooked. This Venue Excelled the 'Extra Mile'. Congratulations to the Management. #Impressed.

Food was horrible we had 4 burgers and veggie option , veggie option was undercooked and all of the burgers tasted like a piece of toilet paper extremely overcooked 0 flavour, not to mention over and hour wait time (explains why burgers was overcooked 🤣)once our favourite beer garden but now won’t go there even if I’m paid to do so , don’t waste your time find a better place

Food was lovely. Unfortunately, with the door to the patio opening and closing all night. It was a rather cold experience, our food went cold quickly despite tasting delicious. And brought the evening down a bit 😞

Lovely meal with family. Meals are very well priced and the portion sizes are very generous. Lucy and Chez were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.

Good food at incredible prices; not small portions either. Two lunch time meals for £12.29! That's right two! Public house - typical local - on one side of the horse shoe bar and eating area around the other side : best of both worlds.

Spent new years eve with family and friends had a lovely meal in a nice relaxing atmosphere. Staff are plesent and friendly and very helpful, food was great. It was the great end to the year and the best way to start a new year glad. We will be back lots in 2025 Happy New Year
