Great British fish and chips. Only place to go !

Usually this chippy is lovely with fresh food, hot chips and good portions. Tonight's meal was abysmal compared to the usual standard. Lukewarm chips, soggy pie, small portions. A really disappointing meal, which is a shame because I thought we'd found a good and reliable chippy after moving to the area.

Absolutely bostin' small fish and one cone of chips. My grandad comes here every Saturday night dead on 6pm for the freshest battered fish in town. He gets treated like a member of the family and he loves it. Couldn't be happier. As a family we love this chippy. I'll be patronising it again this Saturday when I visit from up North and up North we know how to do fish and chips like proper professionals but this one gives us Northerners a real run for our money. 10 out of 10. Chef's kiss.

Great place. Good food, good staff

This chippy is amazing. The food is beautiful and tasty. The chicken curry was amazing and anyone can come here and be served well. The portions are good there are small one s for me and Big ones for the chunkies. This chippy was a bit like Robert Downey JR. He has never won an Oscar but he’s still good. The chippy is one of the best in Tamworth but doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. I also love the New owners which h are so much better than Good old Bernie. My Husband loves it too, he said that the owners were nice to him and that he had never met an Indian don before and thought that the food was tasty. WILL BE RETURNING.

Absolutely Fresh Value For Money Servings Of Portions Fair Then Most Competitors in current economy. When a customer was buying something for what she could pay for was heartfelt offering to pay the rest the owner didn't let and wouldn't take my offer giving a meal mattered more rather then bits of paper has been witnessed by customer service provided every time so I will be giving my loyalty spending cash with personal information rather then usual same old details instead I'll support the ethical standards where it's due.

Amazing chips every time and generous portions

Excellent food and first class service.

First time using since new owners took over last year. Always a worry that with new owners the quality will slide but actually it's better than ever. Chips were the best we've ever had from there and the portions are huge. The place is very clean and there's a good selection. My only suggestions would be to offer Naan wraps (as well as the standard pitta or tortilla) and Halloumi for the kebabs. Oh, and the owners could be a bit more cheerful and chatty - make the effort to get to know the locals and their names. It makes a difference in somewhere like Bolehall! 🙂

Definitely gone downhill since Bernie left. On 3 occasions now I have asked for plenty of salad in my kebab. Literally half a tiny piece of tomatoe, a piece of cucumber &, about 3 thin strands of Lettuce & onion is apparently "plenty"! I wouldn't mind but I'd happily pay extra for extra salad, I just like salad. 😁I won't be using this chip shop again, as I only ever have a kebab & if they can't get that right, even when asked - what's the point. Obviously just going to do what they want & not listen to their customers

Closed on a Saturday night, whats occurring are you mad? Excellent kebabs and fried fish, massive portion of chips, when open.

The new owner of the fish bar the food was not that good the fish was soggy the sausage was hard tase like cheap one curry sauce was not the best same as the peas but the good size is that u get lots of chips won't be going there in a hurry again

Excellent food and very good portions. You must try the home made samosas they are incredible. Also the Indian curry sauce is s winner.

Fish and chips with a choice of peas, gravy or curry sauce for £4.20 Very enjoyable and pleasant service from the staff. Open 6 days lunchtime and evening. Not open on Sundays. Recommended and look forward to returning. 👍

Excellent Fish Bar. I can't recommend enough. We use to live in Bolehall and now we have moved to Amington but we always use this fish and chips. Very clean and tidy. Best 👍

Not very good at all,chips were horrible,my son had a sausage that looked like it had been there for day,and the pie was rock hard. More expensive then the one by Tescos and no were near as good.

Great food bit more expensive than other shops but highly recommend from me.

They can’t even get the order right, if I wanted my kebab and chips in a pitta I would have asked for it in a pitta. Food was cold and I only went round the corner. How about you spend more time giving better customer service than chatting to each other.

First time trying this place, just passing so gave it a try. Middle of the day and everything looked fresh, but working there really polite and friendly, good prices, very good portions. Definitely recommend.

Chips old and mushy fish very mushy, battered sausage dripping in oil and inedible and the saveloy must have been weeks old! £17 pounds of food in the bin! Please avoid!
