I attended with my family and thought it was very overpriced for the quality of the food which was below average. Also the owner had two young girls working for her and how she was speaking to them infront of us made us feel so uncomfortable she was belittling them infront of other customers and it was very uncomfortable to witness. The girls appeared really hardworking but it was evident she was making them nervous. The lady shouted across the cafe inront of other customers did they get your order right?! They may have been her relatives working for her but no excuse please treat your staff a bit kinder and don't make customers feel awkward and kern to get out of there as soon as possible!!! Very dissapointed and won't be returning!

Stopping over in Diss for lunch on the way to the Suffolk coast, came across this cafe, looked inviting enough, with spaces inside. Coffee was very good - cappucchino and americano, and the New Yorker sandwich was wholesome tasty and very satisfying. Friendly service noted. Recommended!

I thought afternoon tea here would be something special to celebrate a birthday but unfortunately it wasn't. The table we were allocated was right next to the counter where people stood drinking, chatting and paying (I believe they might have been staff from the business centre). When I commented on this to a member of staff she said they would soon be gone, but then more came and stood there for some considerable time. The table was undecorated and the teapot and cups plain. One of the teaspoons was dirty and had to be replaced. There was nothing special about it whatsoever. It was just like being in a cafe which you go in for just a coffee. Not afternoon tea special at all. It was more expensive than many in the Norwich area so I thought the experience would be reflected in the price. But it clearly wasn't. The food was nice, nothing special, only 2 different filling in the sandwiches. The scones were good, the cakes ok, but again nothing special. The staff were busy but quite friendly. I would not recommend The Orangery for an afternoon tea experience. I came away feeling very let down and disappointed from what I thought was going to be an enjoyable afternoon.

What a little gem this is, fantastic pastries, cakes etc Coffees and much more. I had a breakfast sourdough ciabatta with sausage and egg which I highly recommend. Staff very friendly and the there is a nice outside sitting area too. Reasonably priced for the quality food. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the area. Added bonus the lovely rivers walks are a minute away so you can walk that lovely breakfast etc off. Oops nearly forgot dog friendly too. Thanks for a lovely breakfast see you again soon.

I telephoned to check if dogs were welcome, and they were! We visited after a muddy trip to the woods. The staff were super accommodating and welcoming. The dog was provided with water and biscuits and we ordered the most delicious cakes, panini and hot chocolate. Unfortunately we did muddy up where we were sitting a bit but we were reassured this was absolutely not a problem. We will definitely be returning. Really lovely visit.
