The girl at the counter doesn't bother to serve the customer properly and is busy conversing with her friend at the till. The chai was good though

My go to place for an amazing breakfast, great chaat and a tasty karak coffee. Customer service is really good too. Plus, the staff are very welcoming even when my child was running around. May Allah bestow barakah in their business. Ameen

Ordered almost everything on the menu. Took am hour and a half. The only thing that was edible were the doughnuts. Also had several things missing.

Had a really nice experience in chaiwala Nottingham. Would like to shout out Mallaika for her impeccable service. She was really friendly and helpful and patient with us while we decided our order. She even recommended some items on the menu which were delicious. Best experience we’ve had in a chai wala to date ! Very honestly, the day will hold a special place in our memories to come as we received some good news as we were waiting for our food also.

I tried karak and breakfast, puck cheese paratha, all good. Please could you add daal bowl as separate order in the menu and in deliveroo menu as well.

The young girl at the counter asks ‘are you eating in or out’, either way your food and drinks come in takeaway paper and disposable cups. Every table and chair in here needs a wipe, the floor needs sweeping as does the entrance to the shop. The bench top is dusty. I dare not go into the toilet. As soon as the young lady finishes serving me she jumps back on her phone until I ask for a napkin and mention that all the tables need a wipe. She wipes one table, serves some people and now she’s back on her phone. I know that I should expect less I am in Hyson Green after all. But if the state of the shop is kept in such a lack lustre way, what is the kitchen like, is that ever cleaned or is it worse? Best not to think about it less I loose my omelette wrap. As the lovely light installation loses bulbs that aren’t replaced it just adds to the sadness and cheapness of the place. The metal chairs are rusting and really grating on the ears when people drag them across the floor. Once I forget how tatty the place is I’ll come back because the Chai is nice but it’ll be a few years at least. And although vegan chai is on the menu they don’t do it and can’t be bothered to cross it off the menu!

i ordered online with uber and had problems with the order, when i called the store up and explained they were really nice and apologetic (even though it was definitely not their fault) and made my next order super quickly, 10/10 would recommend the store

I have ordered hot chocolate and in this not any flavour just all milk. Really disappointed

I ordered Indian breakfast and karak chai through uber eats. And I am really disappointed. The cup was leaking and the chai spilled all over . I couldn't drink it. I am extremely disappointed with the service.

The desi breakfast was fantastic lovely chaana and daal and just want to thank malaika for providing fantastic customer service and being understandable should have more staff like her

Great food, love the chaii and very reasonably priced. There is limited parking in front and some at the back. But if everything is full the you can park in the car park behind Sharif and sons.

Took the family for Chai, gave the place another chance after delivery orders were terrible. Found a hair I'm my Pink Chai, obviously anyone would be a very disappointed. The Indian lady was polite and replaced with a new one. Chai is not made fresh its heated in a microwave!!! Masala chips are okay. The girls on the counter need replacing, as they do very little work. 99% of the time they are on there phones, unless a customer comes in takes an order and back on the phone; Especially the British asian girl! Nottingham store.

Lovely friendly staff and yummy desi breakfast and karak chai served up super quick setting us up perfectly for the day.

Quick service and delicious food. Plenty of seats available for dining in. Clean toilet. Cinnamon tea is quite nice. English breakfast is tasty. Halwa puri with chana is an excellent choice if your in doubt of what to order.

From Dewsbury, went out to Nottingham and was served by a very friendly, lovely young lady by the name of Malika, hope I haven’t got her name wrong. Thank you for a lovely service today.

Been visiting for a while always been attentive

The food at karak chai was really nice, especially their masala fries, which were especially delicious. Also, Rabiya, one of their amazing staff members, was the reason for the excellent service. She was incredibly kind and constantly made sure we had everything we needed while eating. Would recommend visiting.

The desi breakfast is a favourite as is the masala chips. Can be quite busy but the saffron chai is lovely. Came in today and loving the replacement drinks for the coka-cola brand organic Karma drinks. My sons says the Karma Cola tastes sweeter with more depth. Same pleasant atmosphere. Warm and Friendly staff.

This probably is the smallest Chaiwaala I have ever visited. An ok place to have quick breakfast. Food was good though. Why don't you guys have student discount ? If you reconsider the location, it would be a banger.

Absolutely stunning food, the Nutella wrap and the cheesecakes are so lovely. The tea is just something you crave after having it. I have to say I’ve been to many chaiwallas but the food at the notts one is to a different standard. And the service. No long wait times either and the staff are really friendly.

I ordered the shakshuka, the egg was not cooked, it was like someone cracked a fresh egg in the middle of some tomato. The parantas were burnt beyond recognition, customer service was terrible, the waitress was almost throwing the food on the table, she seemed like she didn't want to be there which of course affects the atmosphere, did not feel welcome at all. If you're going to spend your money on traditional food, please spend your money elsewhere, definitely avoid!

Casual cafe popular for serving chai. I visit often especially with wifey or friends, just to relax or unwind over a cuppa.

Saba has served my order. Really quick and efficient service. Well mannered staff and always have smile on their face.

We know that portions at chaiwala are small but this time I’m really disappointed with the taste as well. Quantity of this yogurt mint chutney is really a shame. Aloo paratha is over cooked and very small.

Wow - The flavours of the meals here are incredible! The pallet of flavours and tasty level of spice was perfect, wish I could try everything on the menu. Would definitely come here again!

Customer service is poor .. girls serving in the morning are dealing with customers like customers are prisoners and they’re jailers ! Not a single smile, no thanks no nothing !! Get rid of such bunch of staff ! Or else u will lose your customers!!

Avoid at all costs as the staff and manager are very ignorant towards customers.. I went for breakfast so I got a frozen pratha which was microwaved, I got sausages which were microwaved to, the beans tasted like they been sitting in the warmer for days as they were so dry.. the toast were all hard like the bread is old! The only good thing was the egg. All the frozen items I can buy from Asda for a lot cheaper then what I paid chai wala. If you order desi tea which is in a warmer and most of the time this is cold to! This place is a waste of money and time as I have not attended no chai wala again and never will. Extortion prices for frozen defrosted food! What a joke of a business! Dunno how they make there money because only stupid customers will want to eat defrosted food!

I liked their karak chai👍 but was not satisfied with Samosa chat was sour and dint feel fresh. May be I will try something else next time.

Very bad customer service food was very bad

Poor customer service. No thanks of eye contact, dirty customer area and dirty surface where they pour tea. Customer service is like they doing favour on you. Especially the girls work in the morning they have zero customer service skills. Tea taste is not the same.

The food is okay (plastic) - not amazingly tasty but fills a hole. The store was very busy and the staff seemed to be under alot of pressure which was noted when the customers could hear staff members in the back having heated conversations. Positive is that I placed my order over the phone and it was ready as advised.

Since its opening, I've been enjoying tea from the chaiwala. However, lately, I've noticed that the chai doesn't taste the same as it used to.

Visited ur Nottingham branch had a lovely had a yummy breakfast this morning . Was served by Aleena who was very helpful and demonstrated outstanding customer service. I’m sure we were very demanding customer but her service was with a smile . Enjoyed our visit!

The food was just mind-blowing, and it's all halal which makes it better for the community and the staff were so friendly!

Be a punjabi munda love food can travel to extrem ,order puri halwa, chickpeas and halwa only OK but puri standard no no.

Ordered spicy sandwich with masala chai for daughter and got puri which on the whole tasted great, but not what she was expecting so felt let down and tbh cheated.. And As it was a takeaway couldn't return as by time I realised was too far away.. Service was good and so is insotore seating.

Poor cheap quality food. Mainly frozen food that you get from any Asian supermarket. Portion sizes are small for the price paid.

Just have to say that I have had a lovely experience here. The 3 ladies working today are absolute ambassadors to your business. Have a lovely persona and made my morning.

There is too much oil in food, ordered 2 poori and halwal, poori was full of oil which I couldn't eat, dispite the food the restaurant was clean and tidy, which was very welcoming.

One of the best places to sit, talk and relax. This is our absolute favourite place to visit on the weekend. We never miss it.

The Karak Chai reminds me of home

Visited this place as the one in Bradford GT Horton Road is excellent. I'm afraid this place is awful. We enter when it was empty and the girl behind the counter was free, yet every single table was filthy, she obviously enough time to tidy up and clean but one had to surgically remove her phone from her hand to stop her scrolling through TokTik (yes I meant to say TokTik) The place is filthy and hygiene is obviously not a priority!

The servers are not welcoming or friendly and even borderline rude. However I go there for the great street food they have to offer and end up ordering online instead.

Poor quality food. Paratha is like defrosted from Shana packets, halwa puri was so greasy and burger buns were like cheap value standard buns. Terrible

Absolutely pathetic. Paratha is a con, it’s just defrosted frozen ready made plain white flour paratha and not at all close to the actual Paratha. Burger buns are low quality and smell stale. Naan is also pathetic and just defrosted bread. It’s a complete and utter waste of time.

I wish I could give this place 0 star we traveled all the way from edwalton to here , when we enter the place was empty a girl was standing there looking at us and giving funny expressions no hello no hii as we enter in she went inside one of the staff members was lying down on the chairs ??? Everything in the menu was unavailable:) a humble request to the staff it cost 0 to be nice with customers . The good thing is am going back southall I will enjoy my dine in there in southall franchisee

I had a very bad and embarrassing experience with Chaiiwala Nottingham. I invited a guest for breakfast from Derby and ordered a portion from Chaiiwala. They delivered via deliveroo but missed an item from the breakfast. I felt embarrased and called them. They just offered a fancy sorry. I registered my protest and then they offered a full refund through deliveroo. When I called deliveroo, i was only offered a one pound refund which is even more embarrassing. I explained the situation to deliveroo and asked them to contact Chaiiwala about the refund. They simply refused. This is a very embarrassing experience in front of a guest who arrived at your place for a breakfast. I will never ever recommend placing an order with Chaiiwala Nottingham via deliveroo. You cant trust them with the full order and delivery. I will take this to next level and share my experience with others. Its not about money but the way customers are treated. I have seen your response to my reviews and that's not right. Your staff accepted that order was not packed correctly and I never ever spoke about any threat to your property. That's pure misunderstanding. No one poses a threat for few pounds. All I requested was for a refund. Secondly, Accepting a mistake is the biggest gesture of customer service. All the best with your business.

I like desi foods especially chaiwala. Today for breakfast I bought channa gravy along with puri halwa. The gravy was very hot but tasted spoiled, had a slight wrong smell kind of rotten. There were many other customers, so I lowered my voice and reported to the glower young lady on the bill counter. She just rejected and said its fresh... Asked again if she is sure. Embarrassing attittude, its like I have done some thing wrong with that gravy. I was not in a mood to take it any further and ruin my friday morning. Left the gravy on table, quickly finished the rest and left the shop. I think while placing some one to the front desk need to educate them to smile and behave well to customers, and primary steps to handle the situations.

The phone lines don't work well they don't answer them. The in store wait is usually 5-15 mins and parking is restricted on the main road. Better off going around the back to park which is free for 1 hour and a 1 min walk around to the shop.

I always had a take away from chiawala today 18/01/23 time around 9:30am I was order desi breakfast roti and daal but unfortunately I get chana and pratha with burn eggs am really disappointed every week I spend 50 to 60 pound in there in the reception there is one young girl who always busy on her phone there is no any good customer service at all I would like to request the owner please do something about it

Great food, went early so food service was slightly slow

Nothing to shout about. Thought we would give it try today. Had butter chicken wraps, taste nice but were barely warm. Loaded fries , few bits of the chicken were very tough and tasted defrosted. Parnothas were small, tasty but didnt feel freshly made, more like pre frozen.

If you want good Indian chai in uk. This is the place.

Karak chai was the worst I've ever tasted 🤮

The 'Karachi Bun Kebbab' is never defrosted correctly after reminding the staff on 'tell' several times. I was a big fan of Chaiwala but i'm very disappointed about the quality of food very recently.

Experienced this place on 2Jan just after 11 am. First impression, place was almost full, just a small table of 4 was available. So if you are a big family, bear in mind you may not necessarily always get a place to eat. Overall all there are 3 tables of 4 people and 4 tables of 2 people. Which can be joined together to accommodate bigger parties. It was cold outside and inside it didn't feel warm or cosy... Everytime someone entered or exited, you would feel cold air, that wasn't pleasant. Pricing is OK. We mainly went there for Halwa Puri. One portion of Halwa Puri is for £4.50. The one part which was surprising for me was that I had to buy channa(chickpea tarkari) separately. Halwa puri should include tarkari (curry), so that was surprising for me. You could buy a portion of chickpea curry for £1.50. Taste was ok. The puris were a but thick, which meant they absorbed too much oil. The chickpea curry was not tasty, just ok. We requested for spoon to eat halwa and surprisingly given wooden spoon. I appreciate them for not handing plastic spoon. Also ordered tea. It was karak chai(£2.25) for small cup. Not your average tea using tea bag, rather desi style, prepared on hob with elaichi. Verdict, we won't go there again for Halwa Puri as we have been to a much better place with better seating, better ambiance and better quality/tasting food.

It has to be one of the worst Chaiwala out there. All the others I've been to in various cities have been good. This one always has music blasting over the top and the service is never great - not sure how an owner can have such a poorly running business unless they're clueless on the customer experience. I'm pretty sure if Nottingham had another Chaiwala within the city, people wouldn't bother with this one.

Beautiful cafe, very clean and tidy. I am not a huge fan of chaii, but these guys made it's so good that I fell in love with it. Presentation of the food was amazing, a little piece of newspaper like old days, paratha, daal and omelette. Got knocked back into nostalgia.

The chai and tikka roll were perfect! The samosa wasn't great, but the quantity was appreciable

The tea and food is very good, if you can get parked and if you can get seated in the shop. Very small premises and awful parking. If there was a bigger premises/ more accessible car parking I'd happily come and visit regularly.
