Chaiiwala in Leicester

Had delivery, I couldn't find the chicken in butter chicken rice bowl. Found a tiny bit under rice. Called restaurant had to WhatsApp pic, was told that's how it is. Roti and paratha was like rubber. All in all paid over £20 for a meal I couldn't eat.

I had the pleasure of receiving outstanding customer service from Muskan (Chaiwala Evington Rd Leicester). From the moment I first visited in, she is always attentive, approachable, and actively engaged in addressing my needs. Mahek went above and beyond to ensure that everything was handled smoothly and efficiently. Her professionalism and warm attitude truly stood out. It’s rare to come across such dedicated service these days, and Mahek’s efforts definitely made my experience exceptional. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for top-notch service!

I have loved Chaiwala like everyone else. But recently something has changed in the ingredients/ recipe. The Poory do not taste like poorys anymore. They taste rubbery and are not deeply fried. No authentic taste they are more rubbery like a roti shape and texture. Before the Halwa Poory was authentic tasting deep fried. Such a shame it was my favourite dish here. All the branches of Chaiwala in UK have changed the Poorys. They have lost the taste due to not frying the Poorys deeply. I have spoken to about twenty other people across the country who say there local Chaiwala also serves the new style Poorys which are tasteless and they have stopped buying it now. Such a shame for us Halwa poory lovers.

Been going here since it's opened, very disappointed on how bad the service has become. Made a purchase through the app and got to the store after being charged. My items where out off stock and was told to requested refund online. Also staff don't want to help with issues and more concerned about other people coming in after me.

Charged twice yet half items missing. Falooda drinks given without straws. Very disappointing service.

Exceptional customer service. Great tasting food

Such a cosy place to have brunch. The servers were really accommodating and sweet. The menu looked really good. We ordered the not british breakfast with spiced chai and hot chocolate. I couldn’t fault the food at all and all at decent pricing. The only downside is the over consumption of plastic. I think maybe the company should consider more sustainable and eco friendly options.

Always love this place lovely to sit and chill and sip some chai. I always get the vegan chai you can never go wrong with it. Also if you are getting the vegan chai you can get the Punjabi samosa with chilli sauce. Staff are always lovely and welcoming.

Always an enjoyable experience at Chaiiwala Evington road. Of all the branches, Evington Road will always be the heart of Chaiiwala! Food and service is always fantastic, they never dissapoint. The manager Moin and his staff are very welcoming, and its always service with a smile!!

Just wanted to give my complements to Muskan and Shahar Banu who served us all the time I visit Chaiiwala with my family. They were really friendly and courteous even though they were literally running between the orders.

Lovely atmosphere and extremely good staff. We were served very well specially by Muskan. Best service and food amongst all the chaiiwala I have ever visited.

Ordered online, very disappointed as everything sounded amazing and reviews were pretty good. Portion size ridiculously small, not at all worth the price. The chicken sausage roll tasted like fish, the masala chips were really bland, keema was in a tiny cup and not even half full. Expectation versus reality was worlds apart. Will never waste my money here again. So many other takeaways offering much better flavour, portions and prices.

The brother on the counter, Moin I think was his name is an absolute seasoned professional. Charming, charismatic and amazing front of house with impeccable service. 5 stars brother.

Chaiiwala on Evington Road, Leicester, is my favorite spot for a mood-boosting chaii. The cozy ambiance and personalized service, especially from Saanya, who always remembers my order of oat milk chaii, never fail to put a smile on my face. Highly recommended for a delightful chaii experience!

Food was cold! Had to ask them to heat the masala beans properly,as they were stone cold! Omelette tasted weird, possibly cooked in a rush which not only gave my Mrs a stomach ache but my daughter had to be admitted into hospital... A slight case of food poisoning... Not impressed at all for what it's become, compared to what the service and food used to be.

Amazing Chai🥰my 11y old is simply bowled by the taste👍🏾 liked the food and the quick delivery. Sai and Amir at the desk were so sweet and lovely too. Sai always has a smile😁 while serving at the till. Salam guys I had tea last 3 months everyday and some omlet warm 10 out of 100 but I notice last 2 months one girl wrk specially weekend she is very hard working girl and treat as like family and I ask her name her is Saniya and and anthor staff. Friendly as well morning time moin is best I Sean him last 2 years now his best as welll my Allah give guys lots barakt Ameen 👍

I have tried evington road chaiwala tea and to be honest evington road chaiwala tea is much better than other chaiwala, hafezi is such a nice person he is making very good tea and communicates very gently.

I ordered a falooda for by daughter who has a nut allergy, and alerted the staff to this, and they assured me not pistachio would be added. however within minutes of drinking this she had a reaction, not serious thankfully. I'm assuming it was cross contamination - training/reflection needed here for staff.

I visited twice in the last two weeks. The staff seem to be in hurry to go home. Once 15 mins before closing we were not allowed to sit. We ended up sitting in the car. The second time for takeaway cup a few minutes closing and was told they have no Chaii or Coffee. Now they got big they forgot about the customers.

Disappointed the food was cold, order other things and Bombay sandwich when I open it the sandwich was broken in piece and the new delivery driver was so late in delivering.

My Wife and mykids loved it. I thought it was ok. Kids had the sausage rolls which were nice and wife had the Indian breakfast. My little guy ate his paratha so fast. It gets the job done no complaints

Fosse Park Chaiiwala - Small but good range of (Indian Street) food on offer. Good food esp. Classic Paratha was cooked well and tasty. Other dishes we had were reasonable. Disappointed with Butter Chicken Roll. Eat in or take away.

Ordered the Aloo paratha and Desi Breakfast. Both tasted like cardboard as they were so overcooked- the aloo paratha had next to no filling.

The desi breakfast is so good! Naina is so welcoming, and lovely to chat to! She’s the highlight everytime I come to the Chaiiwala

Great snack place that fulfills all your needs

It’s *the* place to get karak chai that feels like home! Chaiiwala never misses ☕️ Adequate seating is available in the establishment. (Bit hard to find to parking as the road is full of restaurants and other hidden gems - but this is more of an FYI)

Clean place, quality service, good food.

Good Chai and quick service, but there is not much sitting. The sitting area should be increased. I only go to Chaiwala for a chai or occasional desert. There are better options for food elsewhere.

I’ve been a long time customer at Chaiwala, particularly this store and it’s been my go to place. Last year the quality started to drop but I fed back to the manager Mohin who was quick to rectify the issues and go above and beyond to help out. Since then I’ve seen a great improvement to the quality of food and service, particularly on Deliveroo.

Service was awful. Food was rubbish. Waste of my money. Staff were acting inappropriate. Sort it out.

My first time having chai in Leicester, and I think it's great that this place is so welcoming and they offer a little sample to taste. And what a taste! Absolutely loved every single sip!

Mango falooda was nice Very busy place but the service was quick However the toilet need cleaning and attention as it the floor had a big puddle or urine

It is not good for family. Staff behaviour is not good. They are rude. I do not recommend for family.

Had the Indian breakfast was very delicious and tea always really nice my favourite Breakfast was better then chaiwala on Melton Road the dhal from there was not nice at all didn't taste fresh

Horrible service just stood around waiting to order they dont even have coca cola in stock lol i have never experienced that. Tried their kadak chai. It’s good . Wouldn’t say it’s the best. It’s a nice place to sit with friends for short while. 4 stars as chai can be improved.

Always enjoy a Chaiwala and it was more of the same here. A great location, especially after moving a few doors down to much more spacious setting. Now you can really sit and enjoy, you could spend all day there if you want to. The only reason I have docked a star is that at times there can be a bit of a wait. Which isn't the fault of the staff, they are sometimes outnumbered.

Very impressed with the new chaiwala here on Evington road, it’s definitely more spacious than the old one and plenty of room to take a prams in, fantastic! 20 plus people can easily fit into this new location and also there is a toilet 🚻 Decor is amazing and seating very comfortable. 5 stars for service and good food and hot drinks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ordered food and 4 x kadak chias and really liked the food. But the service was extremely slow and we felt really sorry for the one girl there who did the fabulous job. The management of this company should be shamed and disgraceful by letting the poor young girl do all the jobs. Please avoid this branch. I would definitely praise the girl.

The chai can be hit and miss as it sometimes tastes chalky ( I imagine it is made using powder). The service is always good .

Ordered from delivery Deliveroo the wrap of omlette was so rubbish an disgusting I don’t know how their made it an the cake also was rubbish taste too I usually never have a complain with chaiiwala generally but with this branch through Deliveroo rubbish food service I don’t know if their rushed or something but I’m put off now .

only thing is this place is buzzing in ramadan looks like every one is craving for tea after breaking fast.. i do not know why this tea is so famous .. its a blast of sugar which is good for nothing but diabetes type 2

Visited the area for an event and needed a coffee after a long drive on a Sunday morning. This was the only place that was open early and once inside, I decided to actually get the “Desi Breakfast”. Service by the young girl serving was efficient, informative and polite. The breakfast was tasty, hot and a great price. The Karak Coffee was hot, sweet and hit the spot. First time visiting a Chaiiwalla but would definitely return based on this experience.

The food, atmosphere, decor and location is amazing!

The food and drinks are always amazing here. The assistant at the till is always very friendly and helpful. Service is quick and tables are cleaned frequently inbetween customers.

Good & Cozy place & is very clean & the cheapest place to get a Cup of Karak chai or Karak coffee & very friendly staff also when your order is ready they will bring your order to your table

The tea here is excellent. The place has a great vibe and they do a good selection of desserts. Breakfast isn't bad either. Definitely has become a regular visit for me. Can't recommend the hot drinks enough. Great to take away. The staff are friendly and efficient.

I don’t often leave reviews to detriment anyones business however after a few recent visits left no choice Standards seriously slipping here at this branch, used to be a great place to eat however lately … “ kebab roll” comparable to chewing on a tyre frankly. ???
