Still the best curry takeout in Leicester, and has been for years. The flavours are fantastically fragrant compared to the others. I would quite happily eat of plate of their onion bhajis on their own!

Order arrived on time but missing a masala and one naan bread. Rang them and they said they’d send them out which they did and received missing items around 25 minutes after order was originally delivered meaning other items were cold. Chicken tikka starter was dry and they sent all plain naans when we ordered 2 garlic & cheese and 1 plain. Rest of the food was nice albeit cold but wouldn’t order again due to too these issues

probably the worst indian food we have ever had!! It was more like chicken in watered down Tomato Ketchup! Shame on you !! Beans on Toast for us tonight :-(

I completely understand that they couldn’t deliver due to drivers not turning up, but when I picked up our food was luke warm to eat and this altered the taste! Such as shame as we were looking forward to it!

This is the only Indian restaurant I will go food spot on you can see your food being cooked the most friendliest staff can not fault anything I love it here

We had a take away tonight and we can only say 100% fantastic great tasting food great take away service This was a family meal four adults one whom is a vegetarian all food was spot on

Ordered through just eat. Despite the delay I received and despite just eat saying it had been delivered when it hadn't, my food arrived piping hot and tasted wonderful. The gentleman who answered the phone to me was helpful enough, letting me know where the driver was seen as just eat was taking its time to update its self with where my food was at. May just become my second favourite India takeaway place, seen as my first favourite is out of reach. Thank you.

Since moving to Glenfield.... This is the standard of Indian takeaway I have become accustomed too. The chicken in the tikka masala stunk, definitely had gone off. And the chicken in the biriani was tough as old boots. But atleast it didn't smell out of date. Also the masala sauce had less flavour than the korma sauce, that's quite an achievement. I'm leaving this review as a reminder to myself....to never risk ordering from here again. Thank you

never ever again...i was warned the food was rank..but it weren't.. it was greasiest most tasteless trash that's ever met my bin..the prat behind the phone seemed amused...starving is a much wiser choice

Probably the worst butter chicken I've had, bland tasteless and did not look appetising. Rice was alright but naan was burnt and dry. Saw this place was up for an award in the Mercury but now I'm worried it's for something negative rather than positive.

Was slightly late. But worth the wait. Foods top notch. Had the set meal for 1. You can feed two people.

By 10pm there was no sign of the food so we called to see where it was and were told it would be another 30 minutes because they hadnt seen the order (we ordered online). Which would mean we wouldnt have had food for at least 2 hours after we d ordered - most likely longer as i doubt it would have been out in another 30 minutes. This isnt the first time theyve done this and they never apologise. In addition to this we ve had food on other occasions that wasnt properly cooked - including meat so we were both ill afterwards. Now have the aggrevation of getting a refund, fortunetly I ordered using paypal.

I would recommend Anika,food is always nice and hot ordered from anika for a long time. I would like to give recognition to the delivery driver zain who always takes time to ask me how I am such a polite man. Thankyou

It was great. Lovely delivery driver and we were delighted it was early.

Driver could not find address and when I rang they said there is nothing they could do as I had opened the bag and is was cold and unediblle. Absolutely shocking

that was the most bland boring curry ive ever had in my life. Ive had microwave meals with more flavour. everything tasted like water the prawns were awful were clearly frozen prawns. Prawn curry was bland, lamb madras had a bit of spice but no actual flavour. £50 wassted will never order again. Was very disappointing as people rave about this place. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

Ordered food del 45-55mins 70mins later I ring to be told its on its way. 85-90mins later I ring back to be told owner is delivering. Food finally arrives and its cold. We rang and informed them our food is now cold. For them to reply with you ordered through Just Eat sort it yourself. Bearing in mind it was the OWNER who delivered no free poppadoms nor drink considering we spent over £60. Loved eating from here but after tonight no way am I ordering again.

Order was over an hour late and cold on arrival. Called the takeaway a couple of times and it sounded chaotic. A clear sign that they'd accepted far more orders than their capacity allowed. Such a shame as Anika has been my go to Indian for several years now but this was an absolute shambles. My last call to the takeaway I was told the food had left and would be with us in 5 minutes, I was also told this half an hour before but our food did in fact turn up within 5 minutes leaving me to suspect that the order was just sitting around and I'd been lied to on previous calls. I've requested a full refund via Just Eat and won't be using Anika again purely for the reason that it was clear that I was being fobbed off and lied to.. If they'd have just been honest and said "we're really sorry but we dropped the ball on this occasion"...

My favourite Indian takeaway - proper chunks of meat in great sauces

I've used Anika for at least 5 years now and they have always been nice ,sometimes take a long time to deliver but nice.tonight i ordered a takeaway to collect and a new voice answered the phone and took my order,picked food up got home and my order was wrong,chips cold,curry wrong,called them back and the usual man answered the phone and was so so rude.he told me i had ordered something i didn't even like and have an allergy to,told me point blank he wasn't arguing with me (even though i wasn't arguing just wanted my order put right) very very disappointed,i will never ever order from there again, and they also like cash payments when the lady answers but if u say u always pay by card they accept it . my whole meal went in the bin,work hard for my money to treat myself now and again.will be finding another indian takeaway for sure.if u have new staff or are urself having a bad day,don't talk to ur customers like something u have just stepped in .

Poor quality meal the chicken tikka starter had zero flavour was pale and inedible the chef’s special tawa was adequate for a £12 dish as the lamb wasn’t bad the chips where undercooked the garlic naan had the smallest amount if not no garlic in it and the popadoms where soggy. I’m an avid curry house fan and this one really disappoints after reading it had been voted one of Leicesters best I will not be ordering again unfortunately 2/10

Really good, other than the fish starter which was far too small (£6 is pricey for not even half a fillet!) and was also bland. Shame, everything else was full of flavour, tender, with generous portions.

Food was fine - however the price difference between ordering direct and via just eat was over £10 extra cost wise excluding delivery. Not sure who keeps the extra cash - on top of delivery charges - but would not use again given this.

100% the best take away in Leicester, been using them for years now, we've tried a few different places but non even come close to Anika.

First time ordering based on them winning the curry awards. My Medium Spicy curry was extremely bland, and not a particularly pleasant taste either. Chicken Tikka pieces just seemed like plain chicken. The complimentary popadom came in a Soho coffee paper bag, and was the size of a side plate. So disappointed. I look forward to the standard reply thanking me for my 2 star review. If you decide to order from here, have some lime pickle on hand to mix in and give your curry some flavour.

After ordering from Anika for the past 18 months near enough every few weeks I was expecting decent food! How wrong I was, I wrote in the notes like I always do that the dishes to be made very mild due to health issues, I've got to throw both dishes away due to the shocking amount of spices and then the Roti's were undercooked! Luckily Leicester has many other places I can order from!

Very impressed! Had the lamb Bhuna, rogan Josh, butter chicken and naan. Lamb was very tender, no dodgy bits! All very tasty. Keema naan was packed with meat. Only criticism was that it could’ve been a bit spicier

Food taste and quality was perfect, we ordered for 19.15 and was slightly later being delivered but the temperature of the food was only just warm. 🙁 First time of ordering as well but probably give it another try 😋

To be honest, I was expecting the food to be better ! Had Garlic Chilli Chicken and Lamb Dupiaza, comparing to a take away in Bournemouth, I was expecting the dishes to be better as I'm in Leicester ! I asked the dishes to be in Desi style, that means Flavorful not just Hot !

We decided to try this place after our usual place closed down. Food was lovely and really liked that the mushroom rice was colourful. Definitely order from here again

Always my go to takeaway, this place seriously has the best Indian food I have had in a long time, the saag aloo is incredible and everything is so light, nothing caked in oil, the rice falls apart no clumping there, the naan bread is fluffy and plenty of meat in the curries. FRESH. DELICIOUS. GET IN.

Regularly ordered through just eat and meal was great. Next time we ordered on 30th January , on the advice of the last delivery driver , we ordered direct. Starters very disappointing. Dry and not really edible.. popadoms soggy and awful. Phoned restaurant to advise and didn’t really get anything bar apology. As a regular I would have expected more.
