Chai wala brand tells me is up market, trendy and clean. So you should’ve seen my shocked face when I went to the loo and the cleaning chart said ‘hygiene is the upmost priority…’ and a tick to say cleaned at 3pm….no toilet seat, dirty, water everywhere, sanitary bin full to the max and could see sanitary products and no where to put my handbag!!!! What a disgrace - can you fix this shameful embarrassment!

Visited first time on 28/06/2022 a party of 4, from 16 miles away for Karak Chai. The establishment itself was small, decor was really nice but tables were not cleared or cleaned, very messy. We had to clear 2 tables ourselves. (Pic below of 3 trays piled up) The owner needs to take note.. The Karak Chai however was the WORSE we've ever had in all the Chaiwalas we've been too. It wasn't made properly and was tasteless, basically water and watered down milk with cardamoms thrown in together not even brought to the boil!! Absolutely revolting to say the least, we were going to complain but didn't as their was a young girl serving and we were 4 guys. We left very unhappy indeed, as we hardly drank the chai, a waste of hard earned money!!

Hello.I ordered a samosa chaat yesturday for takeaway..took a while when i recieved it and took it home for the mother..I could not believe it.The samosa was unedible as if it had been there for days the chickpeas were black and the pareh you put on top were So So hard that I am actually quite shocked to the core that you can take people's money(cost me £3.50)and give them that type of service. It is not about the money at all but the principle.I gave that chaat to an elder woman who nearly broke her teeth from eating the pareh you guys had put on top.Shocking does not even come close.I came in yesturday Tuesday 1st march about 4.30pm. I am just gutted that a chain so big(tea wise)would even sell something like this..I would not even give it out for free(due to health and safety reasons)let alone take customers money for it. Place is a joke.Lady behind counter just handed it to me smiling knowing full well what she had made.Disguisting. Thank god my mum did not choke or break any of her teeth or tripadvisor would be the least of this businesses worries.

I went with my 2 young nieces one is severely allergic to nuts and one has no allergies. I went to put an order in for 2 desi breakfast and gulab jaman sundae. I asked the lady for no nuts on my sundae and asked if there was any nuts in the rest of the food I ordered she said no. I went to my table and the food arrived. My niece went straight for the sundae and I noticed something that looked like nuts I said to her not to eat it and I tried a bit and noticed it was topped with nuts. I went to the waitress who served me and said that the gulab sundae had nuts when I asked for no nuts. She started arguing with me and was really rude and said I didn’t specify that someone has an allergy. I said but I did go through the order with you and made sure there were no nuts. She said oh yeah and then laughed it off. She was very hesitant in asking someone to make me another one with no nuts. Anyway 10 minutes later she personally brings another one with no nut toppings and has a smirk on her face and is very rude and says here. No apologies were given and she asked to see the dessert with the nuts which obviously my niece without allergies had already started eating. The waitress then went on as though she was going to remove it before she gave us a replacement then she said she’ll leave it as though she was doing us a favour. I said we don’t have an epipen on us in case anything happened as though I had to give a reason as to why she shouldn’t serve us nuts when we specifically asked for no nuts in our food. She was completely rude to us and made us feel very unsafe about eating at such a place. She disregarded the seriousness of the situation if it wasn’t for my keen eye my niece would’ve been in hospital. Our waitresses name was Erum she worked at the lady pool road branch. This is the first and last time I will be visiting. The food was very basic and overpriced, the somosa chaat is the worst I’ve ever had and the seating was uncomfortable.

When I called to clarify I was horrified to learn the Parathas were not freshly made but Frozen and just reheated which explained why they tasted sweet !! These are the worst Parathas I have ever tasted, lacked flavour, doughy, unevenly cooked, no filling, small, not to mention overly priced when you can buy same product for £1 in a local supermarket, sooo disappointing!!! Save your money and go elsewhere

My friends chose to try this restaurant out has its new to this area and we like to check new ones out for ourselves and family.Because this restaurant does not do alcohol you are allowed to bring your own in.We were greeted at the door with a smile and taken to our table.we loved the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful flowing blossom down the middle of the restaurant with matching lilies all the way round the room, this made for a relaxed evening. The waiter took our order for poppadoms and later our order for starters, mains, rice and nan. They came and checked on us to make sure everything was OK and that we didn't need anything more.Food was delicious from start to finish.Desserts were offered which some of us had and then coffees with mint choclate.A lovely evening and was seen out by staff also with a pleasant smile 😃. I also noticed that they did do mock cocktails 🍸 and none alcohol wines or grape drinks which is great to know when you either don't drink or can't because your driving. I will definitely be back again.Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful evening.

Fantastic food, great choice of vegetarian dishes & excellent service. We have been regulars here for 18 years and they have never let us down. Take your own drinks or use the cocktail bar.
