Chaii Nastha in Sheffield

So wanted to like this place more but have to say the main courses let the place down. Staff so friendly , pickles and starters excellent but mains took an hour to come after rapid fire starters. Lost interest and mains were lacking depth. In a cluttered market Ashoka can do better.

So. Wednesday night in Sheffield visiting my 91 year old mother in law. A pint in the Rising Sun opposite and we needed some food at 830pm. Let go for a curry. Fantastic reception from the staff. Food was really good. The chicken special was delicious. My wife had the excellent cauliflower curry. Not very busy but it was Wednesday but they treated us like royalty. Thanks for a great visit. The food is amazing, the portions are generous and the atmosphere is great at Manzil Spice. My favourite dish was the massala fish which came sizzling on a bed of onions on a hot skillet - and the chicken bhuna was lovely too. I couldn't eat it all as I had too many poppadoms! We went for an early dinner on a Saturday and there were already plenty of other tables filled, so I'd say it's a good idea to book.

Had to wait 20 minutes ordered 3 chapatis got one Food was average Disappointed

The food from this place was great really nice, I went back twice They also had good vegan options Although I was charged two different prices for the same meal, so perhaps a slightl mistake there by the young guy. Polite friendly staff, would go again
