Chai Galli in Wolverhampton

Love this place for proper desi breakfast. Food and chai are cooked on order. Portion size is big for the price. This place is bit far from my home but its my go-to place for breakfast, compared to nearby options.

Visited for the first time for chai by seeing chai galli name but had worst experience… brand name is chai and their chai is worst.. no taste at all.. changed twice but still not up to mark… not even close to chai wala

Visited Chai Galli for breakfast and since it was early, it was nice and quite. The previous reviews recommended the Aloo Paratha and it was one of the best I’ve ever had, in fact not sure if I’ve ever had a fresh hot from the stove Aloo Paratha before. The young chef is passionate about his cooking as I seen him go about preparing the food and dishing the plates for service. The cheese nachos was warm but not hot enough, passable. Could say, it felt like home made food. Will we visit again? Absolutely!

Excellent food. Freshly made aloo pratha. The chana & poori are so lovely. Very good service. Gentleman serving was very polite. I would definitely recommend this place. Very fairly priced too.

Lovely brunch with my family, portions are just perfect. The staff and chef are very pleasant.

I’m fussy so never that impressed but had to write a review as this is one of the few places that I’ve really enjoyed. Authentic traditional food not the commercial stuff you get in other franchises. Best Papri Chaat I’ve had. Aloo roti lovely too. Will be back to sample more. Thanks guys, keep it traditional 👌😉

We come here regularly for breakfast and I can honestly say it’s one of the best in the West Midlands! Everything is freshly made and incredibly tasty!

Lovely place to pop into. The chicken bites are fabulous & should be tried. Samosa chaat is great too. The staff are friendly & super polite.

Awesome place and has a very good quality of food.

Honestly the worst chai place we have been to. Normally don't do bad reviews but this is definitely not our cup of tea. Charging £6 for 5 Pani Puri's is honestly highway robbery. Overpriced and doesn't live up to the taste at all. Chainak at Walsall is better as is Chai Hubb in Wolverhampton.

This is a family run business and I love that . Especially in east ham to have a place to go to where the interior is so sleek and it's a nice place to sit in. However - I believe that due to the fact that the workers (family) aren't experienced the customer care sometimes is lacking. We went and the woman serving us was texting on her phone while giving my partner food in his hand rather than place it on the table-never broke eye contact with the phone . The music in the shop was constantly disturbed with incoming text pings - really could've done with the phone being on airplane mode or something. I really think this place is good and I'm so appreciative of the younger members who are kind and friendly . I will definitely be visiting again but I think this place has a long way to go.

Amazing place so underrated !🥰 Have been her a number of times the chai is the best. The service by the team is always effortless and with a smile. As a family we love coming here. The food is always prepared fresh, if comes out as it is prepared ! Never disappointed it’s consistent. The cafe has a nice ambiance casual, kept light hearted. Been here for lunches and late lunch. Nothing is a problem. The chef is amazing great attention to detail. Always our go to place.

Having been to multiple desi breakfast places, I can wholeheartedly vouch for Chai Galli being the best out of all of them. We ordered the masala omelette/ mixed Paratha /Poori Bhaaji/masalaChai. The food was top class, plus the portions were large, and the price was really reasonable. The service was really efficient and quick. The staff is really friendly. I’m sure they will do great as a business and I’m looking forward to seeing them grow and have franchises all over the country. The best part was for me complimenting the tasty food and great service was their song collection of Arijit playing at the back. Please do visit the place highly recommended. All the best

Chai galli food is sooo good and yummy.Rahul the chef extremely talented and very friendly . Rahul prepares the food with love & high 😊. The first thing that impressed me was the music played as soon as I entered. Impeccable service and the poori bhaji I had, brought back the aroma of the 'desi' food back home(India). I don't eat much and felt 4 pooris were too much for me. The boy behind the counter convinced me 4 pooris is not a bad number and that it is enough for one and ultimately I surrendered to the taste devouring all 4. Very polite service boy. Prices are reasonable, too.

First time trying the food here for breakfast and it was really tasty. I had the Channa Puri and Masala Chai. The flavour was spot on and really enjoyed it. The chef, Rahul, was very polite and made my order to my spicy level. Very clean environment and the cooking station was clean and hygienic. Will be my regular from now on.

First time visiting and the food was outstanding. I had the paneer mixed paratha and it was so tasty. My husband's food was lovely too. The Indian Chai was tasty and the chef Rahul was very friendly, nothing was too much for him. Highly recommend this place.. Probably one of the best in the area! Try it out, you won't be disappointed, the food is lovely.

Ordered Vada Pav. They have given utmost care to the look and feel, packaging, etc. I would suggest to keep improving on the taste. It was a good first visit, price was a little high. Very friendly chef and staff, really looking forward to how it is going to improve further.

Rahul the chef extremely talented. Probably the only chef I've ever seen that actually prepares the food with love & high quality. He genuinely loves he's job & aims to provide a level of top service & quality everytime. 👌 In my opinion visually one can see the natural way food should be prepared by witnessing Rahul . Unfortunately chefs in other restaurants are not upto the standard Rahul has set ,for himself & others. Top top marks to Chai Gully Dudley Road . But will only go there if Rahul is on shift. Harsh truth but it is this way ..... Well done Rahul. 👏 🙏

Let me give some constructive feedback, the samosa chart was nice, we ordered 2 teas, one masala chai and one adrak chai, both teas were not the best, they were very bitter teas. The lady serving was very pleasant. But the prices are very overpriced, for the area and quality of food and drinks. Maybe to look into restructuring your pricing in comparison to your competitors you’ve already lost there. The better tea places are cheaper and quality of food and drinks are better. Thank you.

I had a delivery to my house. I loved the paratha and masala fries and to mention the quantity and quality was unbelievable worth for 9.89 including delivery. Even though sometimes delivery takes time it's worth it to wait for such a delight. Will highly recommend ❤️

Food was amazing specially bombay grilled veg club sandwich

The food is absolutely disgusting today Bombay sandwich was really spicy and different to how I’ve had it when dining in. The mixture of the potatoes wasn’t good. Everything I ordered had ridiculous amount of spice won’t be ordering again really disappointed

Beautiful looking decor and food was absolutely delicious! All food tasted fresh, home-made and authentic! The service was brilliant. It's definitely a very good find in Wolverhampton. It's a beautiful place to dine in but its also brilliant for people going to work and wanting to pick up some delicious breakfast and chai on the go! They open at 8am so it's perfect! The price of food was decent and it was well worth it!

Went this week. Two of us had poori and Bombay grill veg. Had proper chai too. Food was a little slow to arrive but it was worth waiting for-freshly cooked and tasted very good. Decor is lovely. Very nice evening.

The Sev Puri was ok but needed more tamarind sauce. Vada pav could've used more red chutney. The vada and bread were fresh. The decor is quite nice. Masala & elachi tea were nice, not too strong if that's what you like. Parking here was a bit difficult to find.

Visited this place today for breakfast with my sister. It was highly recommended to us. We both ordered coffee and masala tea and the mixed paratha. Food was very nice and tasty. The gentleman who served us was very friendly and professional. Will definately go back.

The Desi menu options are definitely worth a try. The mixed paratha was so tasty . The food came out hot , not forgetting the mango Achar (pickle) and plain yoghurt omg. The service was excellent and not forgetting the masala tea omg speechless. Highly recommend

My wife and me went in for their desi tea it was absolutely amazing, best tea we've had in a while and so authentic! Lucky was a brilliant waiter and the service was great. My wife tried the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The staff were very friendly, the food was very delicious, would definitely recommend!!! 10/10.

The manager was so unprofessional and so unfriendly. We asked for plates because we wanted to share the food and he said he is doing a favour by giving up plates because the restaurant is cafe style!!! This is the most absurd and ridiculous thing I have ever heard which is nothing but a sheer nonsense!! Will never ever go again . The manager was rude

Visited lunchtime 22nd May 2023. We ordered Potato bhajia, a chaat & two americano coffees. Coffee served in small glasses, was cold by the time food arrived. Bhajia was a very small portion, and not crispy at all. Limp. The chaat had literally no filling at all. Two small puri's cut in half so 4 pieces, with some chutney, & ketchcup!!!! Service non existent, person taking order at counter was miserable. No smile no greeting no salesmanship no personality. Two people walked out without ordering, and there were only five people in there including us !!! Guys your going to have to do a lot better than this.

Lovely food, setting and music. Portions a bit too small. Owner needs to cheer up and be grateful for trade. He makes you feel as though you are putting him out just by being there. Not a good attitude I’m afraid.

Though the decor was pleasing to the eye and very similar to shops that bear a similar name, the place could do with staff who serve you in a cheerful manner. Choice of music continuously playing was some sort of Jazz instrumental by Tom Media. Though I don’t hate Jazz, the music did not go well with with the time of day and surroundings. I would have recommended piano instrumentals of old Indian movie songs; I wasn’t the only one with an issue, another chap asked if the music could be changed, the manager politely refused. The food though above-average, was over-priced for the really stingy portions we were given; we had Keema Pav and Pav Bhaji, paid £9.50 & £7.50 respectively, was the type of portion you get in canapés (not an exaggeration). Dudley Road is not an area frequented by tourists or in a major city centre, don’t feel the prices are justified even with the inflation we’ve seen.
