CERU in Kensington and Chelsea

Superb lunch here. Slow-cooked shoulder of lamb was utterly first rate from the first bite. Had these lovely chunky polenta fried to go with it. Followed by Eton Mess which was terrific. Plus a really nice Mediterranean beer and a cup of tea. Fellow diner had shakshuka, a side, a cheesecake, lemonade and cup of tea. Whole thing came to £35 each. Great service. Super value for London 2025. Will definitely come back. My only gripe (minor) is that ther music was a bit loud. No need for muzak. Let the food juices dominate the brain. Toilets are chic.

What an absolute gem. We arrived without a reservation at 9pm on Friday night. The atmosphere was lovely and engaging. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was excellent. The small plates were a good size and excellent quality. The hummous with hot pitta bread was delicious. The price was very reasonable. We had a really lovely experience. Thank you.

My daughter booked this restaurant for our anniversary meal, she is coeliac and had eaten here before due to the great GF menu. We really enjoyed our meal, 12 dishes between 4 of us, every one of them fresh and delicious. Cocktails and wine all on point. The lady who served us was lovely, friendly and helpful, we will definitely visit again when in London

Tuvimos chapuzones con pan plano fantástico, y tapas de cordero, pollo y espárragos. El vino blanco libanés también era precioso, pero no recuerdo su nombre. El restaurante es luminoso y espacioso, y el personal era particularmente amable y servicial. Sin duda recomendaría Ceru, South Kensington.

Exceptional in every way —- creative and delicious food beautifully presented. Immaculate , light and attractive decor; and wonderful service. Enjoyed our conversation with the manager. Highly recommended. Eager to return!

Visited here for a meal after matinee show at Royal Albert Hall. Very handy for tube to get back to Heathrow so picked based on location and menu. Gorgeous wee restaurant with a cosy ambiance. Staff were lovely great recommendations from waiter and food excellent. We had the guided 3 plates each and each one was delicious. Apple and mint starter and fennel and orange were so tasty. The octopus was the most tender I’ve and had and the lamb plate we could have eaten again. The polenta chips and rice dish just perfect alongside. I’ve never had Lebanese wine before but will again as it was a treat Unfortunately we stay in Aberdeen otherwise this would become a regular for us. Don’t think they deliver?…..

Fabuloso pequeño restaurante en el sur de Ken que sirve los mejores platos pequeños mediterráneos para compartir. Todo en el menú es delicioso. Esta fue nuestra segunda visita y lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

The restaurant provides a Mediterranean cuisine in a nice setting , best way is to order a number of sharing dishes so you can try different plates - the Zucchini and Feta Fritters were superb and you just have to try the lamb speciality dish , Octopus was tender , other dishes equally tasty and well presented - good wine and the Jerome’s Birds nest sweet was very good - service was excellent , couldn’t fault any of it and highly recommend

I am Coeliac - the staff at Ceru appeared to fully understand my dietary needs and served me a wonderful varied meal. They were very attentive and friendly. We had a great meal

Delicious food, especially the mushrooms, aubergines, and the trio of dips. Excellent service, very friendly wait staff, and quick too. The sharing dishes have a lot of variety, and are reasonably priced (for some genuinely incredible food). Very cosy restaurant. They're very good with allergens/dietary requirements (especially gluten). I've been several times with my partner, and the food has always been of a consistently high quality.

What’s not to be amazed by? Quality of food is superb, prepped and cooked in a very open kitchen. Front of house team excellent, extremely helpful with making everyone comfortable with food selections - three dishes is perfect per person. Wine can be tried before ordering a bottle. Nothing was too much trouble

Having been a couple of years ago when it was excellent we decided to try it again. The good news - there was a fun atmosphere, service was very good. The bad news - cocktails although reasonable at £10 were insipid. The Dry Martini was more like a Margarita, Old Fashioned was watery. Food was bland and our lamb dish and plate was cold and had to be returned to heat them up. Zucchini and Feta fritters lacked flavour. OK, prices are reasonable so expectations should not be too high, but standards appear to have dropped.

Beautiful atmosphere and the staff were very informative and attentive while selecting our dishes. Some people ordered 2 dishes and some ordered 3 - really depends how much food you like to eat.

Staying in Kensington for the night and the reviews of these guys was such we had to try them; glad we did, we ordered too much which wasn’t the restaurants fault, they were lovely and let us pack it up as takeaway. Staff were lovely and friendly, homemade lemonade and beer were highlights as was the Mediterranean bread with lovely dips. Very busy so always worth booking. We will be back when next in area.

We had a delicious lunch here. The homemade lemonade is a taste sensation. We had vegetarian plates to share. They were all flavoursome and freshly cooked. We highly recommend and will definitely go back.

This casual restaurant has a variety of dishes that satisfied us. It is a good place for a basic meal. The restaurant recommends 3-4 dishes per person but we found that 4 dishes was enough for the 2 of us.

What a lovely restaurant. Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere and great service. As a local to South Ken I’m kicking myself for not finding this place sooner.

Delicious food, in particular the braised octopus and roasted baby aubergines. Warm, professional service and very interesting wine list.

Love the selection of fruit and vegetable-based dishes here. We had a lovely evening for our farewell dinner with a friend going back to New Zealand. The Georgian wine was a particular treat!

Had a wonderful dinner at Cere South Kensington last Saturday . Delicious range of food to share .interesting an unusual wines and very friendly and helpful staff .

This spot offer delicious mezze. The fadi, the spicy chicken the rabbit are some of the dishes we shared. And it was just excellent. Really tasty, Nice ambience on the shade in the pedestrian Bute street

We visited this gem of a restaurant in South Kensington on the 25th July. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The menu showcases Levantine food. I absolutely loved that the menu description of each dish was mirrored when the dishes arrived. Many, many times I’ve been seduced by restaurant menus promising so much but delivering so little when the food arrives. Every dish we ordered was delicious - lamb, chicken, squid, salads, dips. I’m sorry that we didn’t have room to sample more! It was lush to see Lebanese red wine which was lovely too. The staff were friendly & charming. Thank you to Jason & the rest of the team. You do a grand job! If you want gorgeous tasting food in a restaurant that cares about your taste buds & dining experience then this is the place to visit. Thank you for a lovely evening. A friend recommended Ceru for lunch if visiting the V&A, what a good friend he turned out to be! I lunched with a friend and we ran out of superlatives about this restaurant. All of the staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the menu; we chose six dishes between the two of us, all were absolutely delicious and the octopus was beyond gorgeous. We had the Lebanese wine (interestingly the cheapest) and it admirably complemented all of our choices. When we had finished eating we had a delightful conversation with some of the staff, what a pleasure it was to talk to people who obviously love their work. We will definitely return and have already recommended Ceru to friends and family.

We love this place … I went with my friend to Bute St and because I loved it so much - I brought my husband here to Queensway- Sindu looked after us both times and is fantastic - the food is delicious and fresh and all round wonderful- highly recommend, thanks x

Coming from the Eastern Mediterranean I could not believe the chef was British. Amazing fusion of traditional Eastern Mediterranean recipes, wonderful combination of tastes and aromas. Highly recommended!
