As a member, I decided to host a birthday party here. Solange was my point of contact running up to the event and the amazing Christian my point of contact on the day. The event was phenomenal. The green room setup, catering and the overall service was exceptional, the team made my partners surprise party a very special event. In terms of the overall club, there are some great people on the restaurant side. I have however cancelled my membership due to a number of negative experiences. Their door security are quite aggressive and the final straw was after the receptionist shouted to me from the top of the stairs ‘where are you going?’ forcing me to shout up the stairs and explain an injury that meant I had to take the elevator. As a members club they need to improve the way that they treat members.

I have been a member now for a year and cannot recommend this place enough. The decor is classy and the place is a serene oasis among the hustle and bustle of Londons theatre land. The people who run and work at Century are all really lovely, positive and attentive people. Interested in talking, helpful and welcoming and the quality of the food along with the experience is excellent.

Attended this private club yesterday with friends. £22 to get in the door then made to wait on the street untill 1310 despite being told to arrive 10 minutes early. Eventually get inside and walk up to the top floor and it looks very nice. A DJ is playing and the atmosphere is very good. However it then took an hour to get a glass of wine after asking 4 different servers. Food order was eventually taken after almost an hour. When it arrived we had what was basically steak egg and chips followed by a brownie for £30. Not great value. The food was ok, but only ok. The wine was ok but not amazing. The service was shocking and finished off with the bill having"accidental" extras added. Overall it was an enjoyable if expensive afternoon, but only due to the company and the farcical service. I will not be returning.

I recently attended this venue for a friend's birthday, we purchased a group table ticket which came with drinks, however it was more of a plank in a wall than a table, poor seating and very crowded for a special purchase, this wasn't the case for every table at the venue however so don't think our specific arrangement should be offered. The venue was fun however and the drinks and music were on point, but didn't think our ticket was worth the amount we payed considering what we were given. Would go again but wouldn't pay for the table ticket. #wankplank

Handy spot when in the soho area. Very friendly welcoming staff. Only used the roof terrace which is tiny and has very little shade ...also feels a bit dirty due to old furniture....not great so won't go again. Can't comment on the rest .

Here for a fancy dress party, all the staff were really great at serving both food and drinks, the music was top notch and we were able to venture to the roof to enjoy the outdoors too.

We came to the Century Club as part of a theatre package. We were situated on the top floor (lift thank goodness!!). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent and extremely quick. To be honest we were not expecting to like this event as it was chosen for us, but it was excellent. At the end of the meal we popped out onto the roof terrace to have a look at the view, but the weather was not good. Never mind you can't have everything!

We booked the Cocktail Lounge at Century Club for a monthly team meeting, The venue is extremely nice and the room we had booked, came with a large projector screen and HDMI cable, for easy access to present. The chairs were also nicely set up in theatre sttyle for us. We were greeted by Craig and another lovely lady, who ensured our food/drinks were brought out on time and they catered to us between 12-4.30pm. We had tiny requests for pens/flipboards, which were brought out to us within seconds. Although they were not always in the room (to allow for privacy), they were always on hand to help us whenever we needed them. Their food is absolutely amazing - the portions were big too. We then moved to the rooftop terrace for canapes/drinks, which were AMAZING. The rooftop is heated and they provide lovely large fluffly blankets too. They also play soft/casual music and you get good views across the City too. It's really nice and cosy up there. They have a smoking area on the terrace too.But there is also a non smoking part The drinks and service was fantastic, and I am very glad I got to experience Century Club. Please make sure you book on a hot day, so you can see the true beauty of the venue. Thanks once again, Olivia - Computacenter

We attended the NYE masquerade party here. The party was good, not too overcrowded and with an interesting mix of people of people attending. There were fireworks at midnight, for which they opened the glass roof above the ‘ballroom’. We paid £50 for our ticket which just included entry (there were some early bird tickets at lower prices which we did not manage to get). I would say value for money was ok. The entertainment was ok, perhaps a bit weird for my tastes. The music in the main room was not great, considering the mix of people of there I would have thought they could have gone for some more mainstream tunes. The venue itself is not as nice as what I was expecting for a ‘private members club’ – it was a bit rough around the edges and possibly could do with a refurb. I guess it must be of the tastes for the people who pay to go there though. My main bugbear was that we ordered a bottle of vodka and bottle of gin (around £500 in total) that we did not manage to finish before the venue closed. In other places when this has happened we have been allowed to take the leftovers away with us, but they would not let us. They gave us the option to come back on Thursday 3rd Jan to finish it, but unfortunately we have normal Mon – Fri jobs that means we could not go back on a Thursday night! To be honest we felt a bit cheated and it put a downer on the night, hence I would not recommend this place and I would not go back.

I went to my work Christmas party at Century last night. As a coeliac, I have to be strictly gluten free and this can sometimes be quite a stressful experience, especially at group events like this with party food - sometimes gluten free is not catered for very well and I end up with nothing to eat or just a salad! I did some research beforehand and was pleasantly surprised to find that the Century Club had a range of clearly marked gluten free items on their canape and bowl food menu. I got in touch with Century to ask about the GF options and cross contamination in the kitchen and got a reply assuring me that the chef had been spoken to and would make every effort to avoid cross contamination that evening, and to let myself be known to the waiting staff as well. They also confirmed which of the dishes (canapes and bowl food) I could eat out of the selection that my colleague had chosen. On the night I spoke to a lady called Monica who was so friendly and welcoming, noted my requirements and said she would keep me informed of what was gluten free that evening. Well she certainly did! She made a special effort to come and find me whenever she had something gluten free and let me take extra, as there were other things I couldn't eat. It was lovely to be catered for so well and to have such wonderful service from the staff. A huge thanks to Monica. The venue itself is lovely, hidden away in Shaftesbury Avenue, it was perfect for our company Christmas party and had a lovely roof terrace as well. All the staff were really welcoming and helpful. A great evening out!

First the bad news: this is a members-only establishment so if you're not already in it you'll have to join, be invited or be part of a concierge service like I am (Innerplace gets you into this four times a year and a lot more London clubs besides). Once you're on the list, though, the welcome is terrific after you've found it (my wife walked past it three times, so unassuming is the entrance). I've eaten there twice recently, once in one of the bars with a business colleague where we shared a very pleasant spatchcock chicken and again before the theatre in the restaurant on the fourth floor. My wife had the chicken as I'd recommended it and she thought it very good although there was too much of it (if you go for it, share it between two). I had the pasta of the day, a frankly delicious prawn bake. The house white was an excellent accompaniment. What really made it worth coming was the welcome. The professional, unfussy and unintrusive waitress ascertained that we were going to the theatre so made sure we'd been served in plenty of time without apparently hurrying us in the slightest. I should also mention the views of Shaftesbury Avenue, which you don't want to miss under any circumstances. My Innerplace membership gives me four entries to this place per year. I'm seriously considering joining permanently as a London bolt-hole.

Was invited by a member to join them for dinner. The club is tucked away behind a door on Shaftesbury Avenue but then opens up on 3 or 4 floors with bars and meeting rooms. There is also a rooftop terrace. all the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful and the food was good.

Very nice place on Shaftesbury Avenue, invited by club members three times, so I had a chance to see it during both lunch and dinner hours. The service was a bit so -so last time I went there, but it's OK. Great place to meet with people, the drinks are very good, recommend the roasted cauliflower. our friends had chicken and hake, we sampled each, chicken and hake were very ordinary but the cauliflower quite amazing.

Was fortunate to be invited to lunch by a member (it is a members only club). Service is excellent, as is the menu and cocktail list. If the weather permits the rooftop area is beautiful with some decent views over the London rooftops. A perfect discrete place to sit for lunch.

Made the mistake of going into a cafe where there were no other customers. I think I now know why. Visited the premises in the Square. Latte and croissant, paid immediately by card, lukewarm coffee, stale croissant then on leaving was accused of not paying. They made a check of their records and voila, it seems I had. Quite embarrassing and won’t be back.

Previously known as Cellar Gascon. Not sure why they changed its name but c'est la vie. I love this place - been coming for over 20 years. Amazing wine menu - some real treats for the cognoscenti, at very reasonably pricing. Staff are very friendly too.

We came in for a couple of coffees and a pastel de nata. The quality of the coffee is excellent and the pastel de nata was delicious. Prices here are much lower than most high quality cafes.
