The food is getting better and better, large portions, but little spices, especially the basic ones. salt and pepper

Nice sized portions, food was delicious and freshly cooked and the guys are super friendly.

asked for fish and chips plus extra fish separate, plus asked for 2 mushy peas and 1 curry sauce never again curry sauce runny thought i have a change since they suppose to have changed hands big mistake. will say nice people just wasn't worth the 16. 50 for what I asked for.

Asked for cod and chips, haddock and chips, and a saveloy. Both fish were overcooked. Took 35 mins to get our order. Then when arriving home, they hadn't packed the saveloy.

Nice chips and curry spring rolls. Chips while you wait. May try the pizza next time if the food so far is as good as the pizza 🍕 also friendly staff and helpful. I used this takeaway once before with the previous owners and didn't go back and now it has new owners so forget the previous reviews and give it a go.

As there are new owners now, their chips and chicken is probably the best in gillingham. Portions are bit iffy and medium chips and large are pretty much the same. Apart from that, would recommend.

Had a large chips to go with some sausages bought from the butchers. Chips were very chunky in size which was brilliant very long and wide. Recommend

First time I have ordered from here & it'll be the last. Portion sizes were very small. I ordered a large cod which my partner and I usually share. This cod was a small cod, not even a medium. Chips were equivalent to a small portion. The batter on the sausage was over cooked and brown. Very poor & totally disappointed.

My family have been using this chippy since the early 70's. In the last 10 years it changed hands twice. The quality and potion sizes have not been as good as they were under the original owners, the quality has remained mostly at high standard, however potion size have fluctuated somewhat until the new owner took over earlier this year when they just dropped off the scale. For example, I use to be able to nip out and grab a large chips for a family of 3 to put with a meal and have more than enough but these days a large is barely enough for 2. It just isn't worth the money any more.

Pretty sure I saw two kids working the pans in the back once.

I ordered from the chip shop in the evening and when i had got home there was a dead insect in my food followed by a wing from the same insect which was completely revolting as you could imagine. I called the fish bar and complained about my order and politely asked for a refund, yet this wasn’t very simple as the staff were very rude and demanding towards me which made me feel uncomfortable. Really do not recommend coming here for food, they have lost a loyal customer!

Got a large portion of chips which were huge even by my standard! Perfectly cooked chips in a bag! Shame I live so far away 👌🏻

Absolutely digusting! Chips were greasy and the fish was horendous...couldnt cut through it as i was dry and rock solid where it had been sitting for so long and had a brown colur to the fish itself andca strong amonia smell!!! Definately off!! ...used this chippy for over 20 years but never bern the same since it was taken over!! Staff look unhygienic...no uniforms, hats, hair nets anything! Absolutely digusting....never go here again!!

Just got food cold and dry reheating food

Popped in here one evening on my way home to get a pie & chips and I think it was God's way of punishing me for being too lazy to cook for myself!

Just collected cod and chips and mushy peas and all just gone in bin, don’t know if it’s new owners but cod wasn’t even proper flakes, like 2 pieces of fish stuck together like Grissel bits, looked nice on outside of batter but wasn’t nice at all

I've lived in Medway my whole life and have been coming here for nearly 13 years barring a year where lived abroad. I don't eat here all the time but its a great family treat every couple of weeks. The Food is 9 times out 10 great, exactly what you expect from a chip shop and their portion sizes are usually a decent size but this depends on who serves you with the current people. The prices have recently gone up (April 2019) and while you expect this to happen from time to time this round has added 50p to nearly everything on the menu. Last price hike was 20p here and there. A small chips is now £2 compared to the £1.30 of couple of years ago. Fish and Chips night was always a cheap family treat. I love the food here and the price rise was expect they had advertised it but I may look at other chippies as an extra pound a head soon adds up.

Try to change your fryer oil more often this is the secondtime have ordered from here from the colour of your chips and the taste you should know its not nice for a drunk person maybe it's super loverly please do something about your oil get it change more often I will be ordering again then I will update my review

I had the number 6 meal. Chicken, hot wings, chips and can of drink. Was really nice. Chicken wasn't greasy at all and chips were nicely cooked.

Best fish and chips around! Went there yesterday and had again today. Batter a tad thick for my liking but lovely cod.

Appearance are very deceiving. Only purchased a portion of chips but they didn't disappoint. Service was good and friendly. Prices seemed very reasonable too. Will definitely go here again.
