Visited whilst waiting for family who were attending hospital chose here over costa as I like supporting independent shops. Charged £6.25 for a tiny coffee and a stale cake that was so old I couldn’t cut into it. Dread to think how old a brownie was to turn into brick. Come on date items no one likes throwing things away but when I returned the cake she actually said do you want a fresh one !!!!

Excellent coffee, nice selection of cakes and filled croissants. Always a pleasant buzzing atmosphere thanks to other customers. Unfortunately every time I visit the staff are unfriendly and miserable. I will continue to visit as it’s difficult to find good coffee, I just hope the owners address the staff problem.

Visited Cawa Broomhill after around a 2 year hiatus. What used to be a friendly welcoming lovely place has really changed. Mediocre service, I got the dregs out of the bottom of the tea caddy and the thinnest and smallest piece of banana bread ever. We won’t return.

Recently paid a visit to this coffee shop, if you like tasteless coffee and stewed tea this is just the place for you. I don't like either and I don't like waiting 15 minutes for a cup of coffee. The prices were good and the setting ok but unfortunately the taste of the product served was not good. Sorry but that was my experience today. Won't be returning, there are lots of coffee shops nearby for me to try.

A quick stop off for a lovely hot coffee. Will definitely stop off and order again. The staff were polite and helpful. Just what I needed.

I regularly walk past to go to another coffee place to get my walk to work coffee and croissants- yesterday I decided to give this one a go. It was all just a bit “ok”. Coffee served fresh and hot but - flat white - not particularly strong or flavoursome. Pain au chocolate was “ tight “ and doughy and hard on the outside rather than flaky. Flavour fine . Paid nearly £6 for the two to take out.

Lovely visit to the new Cawa Coffee in Meadowhall. Start by saying how lovely all the staff were, attentive and friendly. The coffee was top notch!! We had two pastry’s a cheese and ham croissant and a pan au chocolat. They were enormous and very tasty. We will definitely be back to try the selection of cakes..!! And the fish finger croissant. Good luck with the new venture guys 😊

One now Sheffield's best coffee spots. Always friendly service, very good espresso, and possibly the best hot chocolate I've ever had (white chocolate hot chocolate would be my top pick). The bakes are incredible with the cinnamon buns and cookies being a standout for me. I'd highly recommend a trip to anyone passing by!

Went in for a matcha latte, it was not great quality. Plus the staff were discussing a previous customer complaint about how the ‘customer is always wrong’. I usually like the place however very put off by that ethos towards customers that ultimately bring you the revenue you need to survive.

We liked the look of this place and the cafe is nice. The coffee was good, and good hot chocolate. Sadly, the pastries looked a lot better than they were. We ordered a cinnamon bun and almond croissant - my best hope is that they were not fresh and being sold from the day before (which isn’t much of a Hope but it’s better than them just being bad). Overall, it didn’t deliver what it promised!

We use to go there weekly afer school for a snack and the past 2 weeks it has been a real diseapointment. We ordered a chocolate doughnut that was a hard lump of oil, obviously a few days old. The lady in charge didnt offer a refund and said instead she'll give us a free one next time- havent seen her since. This week, 2 yound staff o wednesday who couldnt wait to get us outof the door and were mopping the place all around us while my son was drinking his drink. We are usually treated to a mug but everybody was given a paper cup that day and they all went into the normal bin instead of a recycling bin- Cawa do you recycle your paper cup and paper holder for cakes? If not you definitely should!!

If I could give it a zero, I would. Flys around and landing on the pastries being sold. Stale cinnamon bun. Paper cups are disastrous - they leak, they’re scolding hot. Absolutely poor quality.

This review is for the Division Street branch. Having recently returned to Sheffield I was pleased to see an artisan bakery on Division Street. I bought a rhubarb danish £2.85 and I was so disappointed, it was stale, stodgy and not anywhere near the quality I would expect. Would not return as stale goods should not be offered for sale.

Please Cawa, be aware that people like myself who care deeply about the environment want a return to crockery. Use of paper cups and plates may have been necessary in the past but not any longer. Also please encourage people to bring reusable cups. I am meeting in Broomhill today for coffee and would prefer to support an independent coffee shop such as yourselves but not until normal cups and plates come back 😔 When I visited earlier in the year, I did enjoy your coffee and granola bar 😋

Very poor service, some staff bordering rude. Staff should take a leaf out of the cashier's book, lovely chap. I ate inside, paper cups and plates - one step too far cost cutting exercise in my opinion. Convenient purchase, won't be rushing back.

Have been using Cawa coffee since it opened and went today for a coffee and cinnamon bun. They have started serving coffee in paper cups to drink inside, which may be why the coffee is so weak (ie they fill it up with hot water)....

Popped into this branch before Treason at Sheffield Lyceum. Was very busy on first attempt, so came back. 3 staff on duty, too busy talking amongst themselves to get our order correct. There was no offer of a plate for a cold sandwich & then our Americanos were "forgotten". Watched a member of staff clean the rim of a mug with a napkin that had not been cleaned properly by the dishwasher instead of returning it to the dishwasher. When our coffee was finally done, it came with no milk, which I then had to ask for. There were also uncleaned tables & plates left by the public where coffee was collected presumably because staff had not cleaned tables quickly enough. Whoever manages this branch seriously need to look at customer service because it was non-existent. Dare I say they need to implement the kind of training that other coffee shops have?

The pub itself is what you want from a traditional establishment. The atmosphere is good. Been visiting here for many years, both for food and drinks. Visited tonight for drinks with family, and it was quite visible how many customers had just drinks? For years we visited to both eat and drink, but now just for drinks? The food over the past couple of years has been awful, from burnt pizza to dry burgers etc. I was shocked but not surprised how few people were eating? It’s not a cheap establishment and has steadily declined over the past couple of years? It’s such a shame as the pub is great and the staff are lovely.

This place has turned into an absolute joke. The queue times are ridiculous and half the time there is only 2 people on, one taking orders and one making the drinks. Now they have changed their opening times and if you are seeing a movie after 7.30 you can't get a coffee now. We used to persevere because we like the coffee however the final nail in the coffin was the price increase! £7 for a venti cold brew! £7! however if you drive to meadowhall just around the corner you can have the same drink for £5.75! It's an absolute rip off! We will no longer be going!
