I had the soup and sandwich. “Tomato and ham” soup tasted like bland tinned tomato soup with some broth mix and veg added. No sign of any ham. Disappointing. I had just assumed it would be home made.

We are regulars here but over time the staff have become totally disinterested. Visited yesterday and manageress at entrance did not look up saying just take any seat and the girl who served us looked totally glum. Not an enjoyable experience and certainly did not feel welcome.

Working as a carer, I was so disappointed to arrive at Caulders in Mugdock Park today with an elderly client, to find that the restaurant was closed! I realise refurbishments are essential in business, however the fact that there was no information about the closure until we read it on a sign at the entrance once we got there, was the most annoying part of the whole experience. I had checked the website before setting out this morning for opening times, etc and there was no mention of the closure there. Even if there had been something on the road sign at the turning into the park, we could have saved ourselves some time and inconvenience, but there was nothing. It meant we didn't have time to get lunch elsewhere since my visit time was coming to an end, so I had to take the elderly lady home and she had to make-do with a sandwich. She was very agitated on the journey home since she couldn't process why I wasn't able to offer her the treat out for lunch I had promised her. It's such a shame this has not been thought through by the management at Caulders and I'm sure plenty of other customers (now ex-customers since I won't be returning) have been equally disappointed.

I want to this restaurant for an afternoon tea after getting a voucher last Christmas. When we arrived we were given a table by the window and could choose our sandwiches. Cheese and ham and tuna mayonnaise was picked. Delicious. 2 large scones, jam, cream and a good selection of cakes. Couldn't fault it. The staff were very friendly and efficient. It also has an outdoor seating area. I'll definitely be returning again. A great location right next to Mugdock Country park.

.....what's not to like? The location of this place is super, right in the heart of the Country Park, so short walks and wanderings are an absolute pleasure. The Garden Centre itself is not huge, but big enough to be interesting. The restaurant is as good as the location; we sat outside in warm sunshine and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and the food. First for coffee on arrival, then for lunch a couple of hours later. Very, very pleasant.

Having had a nice walk at Murdock we went into the restaurant for coffee. We decided as it was late coffee we should have a treat. The pancakes Maple syrup bacon sounded like the right treat. We were a party of 4 and all went for the same treat. The pancakes were very small and could have been out of a packet at Tesco. The syrup was just that golden not Maple. We ask for bacon to be crispy and it is hardly cooked and very little of it. Certainly not value for money. Very disappointing.

Came here with a friend at 16:16, when we arrived there was staff cleaning up. An older lady told us it was only drinks as food had stopped. Online and on their menu they gave us it said last food orders 16:30... we sat down anyways and had a drink. The guy who served us was polite. After we got our drinks the staff started staring at us almost an indication to leave. We then saw a staff member standing by the till smoking his vape. Then the older lady filled the mop bucket with the hot water tap she had just used to make my tea. I work in hospitality and I get everyone wants to go home at the end of a long day but making us feel awkward isn’t very professional nor is filling the manky mop bucket with the hot water machine.

Yesterday we visited Caulders at Mugdock Country Park for lunch. Although it was very busy, our order was taken quickly and arrived shortly afterwards. The sandwiches were very fresh, the soup was piping hot and my husband really enjoyed his baked potato. Our experience was made even more enjoyable by the quality of the waiting staff. We were served by three different young women, who were all very friendly and efficient and my husband and myself both commented on their great service and attitude. We would therefore be grateful if you could let them know that they are delivering a great service to the customers and it was certainly noticed by us! Thanks for a great lunch experience.

Arrived to find the restaurant adhering well to Covid 19 rules and greeted by our waitress Jordan who was very friendly. She got us a table outside in the sunshine, served us our drinks and cutlery and recommended the club panini when I asked what was good to have for food. Our food was great, soup and sandwich my boyfriend loved! The club panini was also tasty. Would recommend anyone to go for a nice lunch, I felt safe as all staff had masks on and I saw tables frequently getting sanitised.

First time to Caulders restaurant at Mugdock. All COVID-19 measures were in place from sanitising stations to all staff wearing face masks. Tables were all social distanced and we were told on arrival that they required the table back in 1 hour, which is understandable in this climate. Very enjoyable coffee and filled rolls. Staff were friendly and efficient. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly be back.

Terrible lugar y mal servicio.

We chose the special panini and it had garlic butter with cheese, bacon, tomato and red onion. It was toasted and came with a salad, with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, peppers and red onion. At £5.95 it was terrific value. I had a pot of tea and my husband a cola. The place was clean and tidy, service was excellent would definitely lunch there again.

Attached to the garden centre at Mugdock Country Park just outside Glasgow. Good, clean restaurant and coffee shop. Good variety on menu - scones with cream and jam very good as is the Cullen skink. Nice friendly staff and decent prices. Once you've finished you can look at the centre's shops as well and have a good walk around the country park. Well worth a visit!

I was visiting the Riverside museum with my four-year-old son and I just wanted somewhere to sit and have a bite to eat. The staff were very helpful and friendly I got a bacon roll which was just right and a nice cup of tea. My son had some toast and butter along with some snacks from home. The view of the tall ship is really the best part of the cafe although I was pleasantly surprised to see they do serve alcohol during the lunch service. I've included pictures of the menu to help others.

Very disappointed and confused as to when this tea room is actually open until. It seems to be whatever mood they’re in. When you Google it says they close at 5:30 on a Thursday and on trip advisor, open until 6:30 on Thursdays. I was with 1 friend and along with 6 other possible customers we proceeded up the stairs at 5:05 to be told they were closing early today? Was it just that day or in general when open until 5:30 they close at 5:05? We said we only wanted a cup of tea no food and would be done by 5:30 but not interested. If you go into a shop or supermarket that closes at 5:30 they are open to 5:30 not 5:05 very unusual managing of a business.

A great location and full of goodies you would not find at weight watchers! Went for two lattes with sides of vic sponge and a Bakewell tart. Thought the tart was a little too wet. Coffees were fine, but what makes me quite cross is when you get dirty cutlery. Photo attached. The detail separates the amateurs from the professionals.

I have got to be totally honest here. The staff were absolutely fantastic 11/10 but the food was inedible. I mean really bad. The chicken burger although it was very big....was bad. Funny texture.....one of the worst I've had anywhere. The curry was very bland and watery. The steak pie thing was.....I actually doesn't know what to say......I'll stick to real...bad. Absolutely go for the alcohol as they do good offers and it's cheap. The staff honestly just couldn't have been better. Also brilliant with dogs. For food I just couldn't ever recommend.....so so soooooo unfortunate :( x
