i went to Castle stone grill with my wife and two friends. We ordered 4 hot sizzling steaks with salad and side dishes. The food was fantastic and the staff very friendly and welcoming throughout our meal. I have been back four times now and can not fault the service and food. Well worth a visit ****.

Passed this place by chance & decided to call in. Very quiet, there being just two other tables occupied at 7pm. Menu was a somewhat odd selection of typical Asian dishes & ‘meat on hot stone’ offerings. Decided to opt for the Asian menu, which, served by friendly staff, we rather enjoyed. Seasoning, texture & quantity were very good. However, disappointed with the length of time it took to prepare and serve just two main courses, particularly given that the restaurant was almost empty. Think it was close to 2 hours between walking in, eating and finally seeking out someone to pay! Saw much activity & preparation of take-away food during this time and so can only assume this was the reason for our unacceptable wait. To top it all, the restaurant was very cold and so we sat there uncomfortable the whole time. Shame really as our meal was tasty enough and the people pleasant but the lengthy wait in chilly environment has put us off returning.

Will never ever return to this place. Arrived and the young couple next to us had waited over an hour and a halve for their starter... ten minutes later they left! The place was EMPTY and we waited over an hour for our starter! The manager then proceeded to get very abusive when we complained and said if we didn't like his service to leave ! He then screamed in my boyfriend's face threatening him telling him to get outside now for a fight ! Shocking he was also very vile and nasty to his wife and son who did their best to calm him down and we're actually very apologetic towards us I feel so sorry for his poor family living with a bully of a man like the manager of castle grill !

I ordered a curry from here tonight and i was very happy with it. Portions were good, lots of meat in my lamb curry and my king prawn puri was lovely with such big prawns. Food had a lot of flavour. Order was only 10 minutes late and the driver was very sorry. Food arrived hot as well. It's s shame this place has had some bad reviews as I had a good experience and I hope other people get good experiences too

Just hopeless. Not interested in those sitting in for a meal ( my sons 30th) all they appear interested in is serving the take away customers. It probably is a very good takeaway but not a restaurant

absolutely appalling, our chicken tikka masala was dreadful !!!! The chicken was dry and tasted very odd, my keema naan had no meat in it, it arrived cold. I then called up to say I want a refund, to be told I am a liar and that the chicken tikka masala was fine and that it never arrived cold and we would not receive a refund. I asked to speak to the manager who then gave us the refund and said somebody would come over with the money. It is now 11:30, after I called at 8:30 and our money has still not arrived ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL!! Never received such bad customer service EVER !!

Just dont! I have a strong stomach and had already paid for my takeaway kebab, but it was utterly inedible. Old dry meat that was covered by insanely hot chilli sauce in an attempt to hide how old it was. I had to throw it away. To top it all, some of my wifes vegetable samosas contained meat.. Such a disappointment.

Arrived 20 minutes late, the meat feat calzone was rubbish with hardly any meat and tasted vile. the popcorn chicken was cold and rock hard and tased disgusting! very unhappy with this takeaway! would definitely not recommend and I won’t be going again!

Had a good meal two months earlier was good . So I ordered a Indian meal considering of popperdoms curry rice narnbread cormer with prawns. Popperdoms we’re burnt cormer with prawns was like having milk the only thing which was hot was the narn bread come planed about the food got a £31.00 credit. Left it two weeks then booked a table sat down got two popperdoms and dippes popperdoms were soft ordered the mains when the meals came it was not a fillet on a stone it was a sirloin sent it back then we got meat what looke like Sunday dinner meat not what we ordered thay had no idea will never go there a gain, it has been taken over by some one else

Just been to Castle Stone Grill, on entering the feeling was very basic but friendly waiter showed us to a table. A little wait before he came back to take our drink and food order then another wait for food to arrive my wife got the correct meal mine was for someone at another table. Food order sorted but to be very honest it was not very tasty. Paid the bill and left never to return again. My advice steer clear.

We went on a Monday night and only one other table was occupied. The place was so cold we had to keep our coats on. Our starters were excellent. I had a stone grilled steak, which was also excellent. My friends had the stone grilled fahita which they were not so enthusiastic about. They do not serve desserts.

I have now been to the Castle Stone Grill twice and both times have been a pleasure. This definitely is a treasure. I am not sure if it is the location a little off the beaten track or that it is new and people haven't heard about it yet but both times I have been it has been empty. This does mean the service is exceptional and the staff really can't do enough for you. The menu is extensive and there are lots of choices, including curries, but their main attraction is the stone grill. Basically, you cook your own steak on a hot stone at the table to your liking. I have now had the fillet steak twice and both times it has been amazing, the quality of the food is amazing. Best steak I have had in Lancaster for some time. As it was my birthday when we visited we were presented with a free garlic bread whilst I opened my presents and decided on what we were having. I really can't recommend this place highly enough.

Four of us had birthday celebration here Saturday 10/2/18. We had booked quite early 6.15pm, but restaurant was quite busy and had good atmosphere. We had the hot stone fajitas, lovely. Staff were very helpful and courteous.

I had a wonderful curry from here last night, the portions were good and the food had lots of flavour. The only problem was that my food was 25 minutes late and that was after my order on just eat was delayed by 15 minutes already so in total it was 40 minutes late. If you are not hungry or in a hurry then you need to definitely order from here.

Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly helpful staff at this dining establishment. I was not rushed to make a choice from the menu. My meal was cooked to perfection. So happy I found such a wonderful place to eat a very special meal.
