Castle kebab is number one kebab shop in Caerphilly the food is great and the service is even greater

Nothing on the delivery drivers but the restaurant,oh my god waited an hour for my food to have it missing half of my items amd the half they gave me was wrong in the first place tried calling cut off twice complete JOKE!! AVOID

Walk in order XL kofte and pay - shop is empty. Waiting 25 minutes for it. Owner gave me a Pepsi but come on 25 minutes for a walk in. And it’s not even cooked properly it’s under cooked. First and last visit sadly, and the light is broken so it’s like sitting under a strobe light in there. If you have to go make it fresh or there’s a wait, please can you tell me? A quick “won’t be too long” would be fine. Anyway my dogs loved it

Hold on for a lengthy review. First, I'd like to say I was disappointed seeing the low star review for this place. Then I realised, most people rate a place when they've had a poor experience and those that enjoyed their food ate and then went and did something else, or went to bed. Anyway, I took the time today to give this place, where my husband and I have frequented for years, a positive review. I can't defend all their food, because we always get the doner kebabs. My husband a regular and me the chicken. We have always gotten polite service, although the owner is very quiet. The food may vary from one visit to another, but I can say we always enjoy it. Tonight was particularly nice and tasty. We went in around 6pm and everything was fresh. We got the usual healthy portions and both were full and satisfied after eating. In all the visits we've made over the years, neither of us have gotten ill after eating there as I've seen others complain. We love Castle Kabab and we think you should give it a try. I should have taken a photo, but we ate it too quickly and every drop. Maybe next time.

Meat not cooked properly. Watered down sauces. Waste of money. Salad missing

Too expensive for what you get. I paid £11 for kebab and chips because they ran out of naan bread. Got home only had a few slices of meat the rest all salad and chips. Rip off.

My chips cheese and curry sauce came with just chips and no cheese and a tiny coating of curry sauce

I've eaten my share of kebabs in my life, now , this shop may not have the happiest staff, (not that I've had a problem)the best hygiene score or have salad choice available after 10 pm and in my view sauces watered down to within an inch of their life, but it's the best tasting lamb donermeat in the area, in my opinion. If you want quality, hygiene scores and choice, you use wales kebab or sams, otherwise give this shop a go

Had a pizza and fries to take back to hotel, good service and food.

Great that this is the only place open for food late in Caerphilly (apart from McDonald's). A selection of food to suit everyone such as pizza, kebab, fries. Well done for being open past 10pm! 👏

Very disappointed with the service of how the man on the phone spoke to me, my food also arrived cold and hard, after i phoned up he was unbelievably rude to me. My friend have now been sick over this food.

I’ve been using Castle Kebab for over 30 years and although it’s never been the cleanest or most hygienic the food as always been spot on, but over the last few months they have been getting orders wrong, taking up to two hours to deliver and foods been cold but the final nail in the coffin was when my food turned up, and bag had been ripped open and the food in the bags had been opened looking like it had been picked at by the delivery driver. I’ll never have another delivery from here.

1 hour 40 minutes in I ring the shop, I'm told the driver will be there now, 15 minutes later I ring again to be told the same thing I deman an answer as I'm on the phone the driver turned up. 2 hours for food... Paid for hagen daaz ice-cream only to be given pots of sidoli ice-cream which had a price tag of £1.40 on it. Garlic baguette was soaked in. A bag where it has sweated and now cold and soggy. Kebab platter was £12.50 and all my meat was cold and literally inedible, I checked the chicken and It was pink in the middle I had two tin burnt pitta breads along with water salad and small sauces in pots. Rang shop to complain only be told they are busy hence the delay when I asked for a refund they asked that I return all the food to the driver and they would give me a cash refund although I paid on card worst place EVER

Just ordered the meal for 2 kebab box & it was amazing, by far the best we have tasted in a long time.

ordering on just eat it didn't give me an option to put sauce on my partners kebab so rang them up and didn't even put the sauce on like I had asked then when food came the wrappers were extremely greasy and my popcorn chicken were burnt almost black will never order food from here again id rather starve than eat this again

Omg, we had the most disgusting food at Castle kebab... my husband had a chicken burger, he said it was too oily & bland. I had a mixed kebab meat, & chips, the lamb meat was VERY spicy & the chicken meat was extremely oily & the chips were soggy. Never again..🤮🤮🤮 Dont order from there !!!

Food was lovely, staff seemed a little confused and didn't understand our order but we enjoyed our meal.

We've had a few pizzas from here and they have been lovely, really tasty. Looking forward to a pizza on Sunday evening on the way back from the pub early evening

When you look at other local kebab shops, castle kebabs trumps them. Price wise they are cheaper than others locally. Taste I have to say is 10/10. Portions are also way better than others... compared to say mr.chippy a portion of chips is like night and day. Mr.chippy I had to ask is that portion for a child..? And castle kebab I genuinely thought the portion was for 2!

Usual I can handle the low standard food as it's cheap but from now on I will never order from here again not only did they get my order completely wrong they then tryed blaming me and once I got the right food it was cold and made me ill I will never be buying good from here ever again this is the worse kebab shop in Caerphilly 🤬🤮

Ordered tonight, most things were fine, kebab was nice, pizza had sweetcorn on it that was not mentioned on the description, burger was fine, then there was the chicken meal 2! Was supposed to be 3 pieces of southern fried chicken and chips, got the chips but 2 of these ( see pic) and was missing a portion of chips, i would of complained but seeing that it arrived 45 mins later than just eat said it would, we were too hungry and just ate it, not going to order from here again

Appaulling. Twice my food has been wrong and i was blamed for it. Won't be ordering from here again!

Paid for special burger on just eat gave us a plane burger mint sauce. food was minging too will 1000% never order from this place again ! Especially as they have no idea how to answer a phone 😡

I wouldn't even give them 1 star We waiting over 3 hours for food and when it came was completely wrong so threw in bin as tried calling them 28 times and no answer they turned up at my door at 20 to 1 in morning and woke us up with more food I told them to take it away dont want it now appalling service and I rang them just now they told me I should of took it out of the bin and gave it back to them no wonder they got hygiene rating of 2 they would of give that to another customer and there no offer of refund or a sorry appalling I shall take it further we spent £19 if I knew they only had hygiene rating of 2 would not have bothered we get that they were busy but this is terrible service.

Absolutely terrible grease food wrong items delivered resterant didn't care about delivering bad food when I rang and complained discussing all round from food to customer service supprised they are still open

Ordered meal deal 1 the kebabs were swimming in grease missing salad chips were soggy and even the bottle of Pepsi was full of grease phoned to complain and they didn't even care the delivery driver looked like he lit a spliff as he drove off order from different company which delivered before castle kebab has picked there food back up if you could call it food

I will never use this place again. Was two hours late , felt really sorry for the delivery boy. The food wasn't the best.

Had to give 1 star as wont let you put zero, Ordered a mixed wrap, When I got home they had give me a kebab instead, I should have walked away when I saw the state of the place and the low rating it had on the window, Kebab was cold, Greasy and soggy, Never again as threw it away.

Ordered through just eat online so order was in black and white in front of them but still delivered the wrong pizza. Phoned and told them didn't seem bothered new pizza turned up 45 mins later so the rest of our food had to be reheated to eat as a family. First time using them and the last food wasn't that great either

Just had my food delivered about 10 minutes ago. Had chicken kebab and chips and it has no flavour is Lukewarm. Thought I’d change from a lamb doner as always loved them but chicken kebab definitely wouldn’t recommend

Place Felt very dirty and looked awful inside and outside. Inside looked like shappy and needed decoration with a very good clean won’t be going back again

Ordered on just eat an hour before closing time,they gave me a delivery time but kept changing it to the point that my order was going to be delivered 2 hours after I ordered and an hour after it closed,been messed about terribly and went to bed with an empty stomach.would not recommend.

We ordered 2 kebabs one doner and one chicken, salad with both and chips. We ordered them at 6pm for delivery between 7.30 - 7.40pm. They changed the delivery time to 8.10pm which was fine. The delivery eventually arrived at 9pm. The food was awful, it was virtually cold, the chicken kebab came with lamb doner meat as well, which wasn't ordered and I don't like, the chicken was tough and tasteless and the pittas were a soggy mess. Never again a complete waste of money.

Will never order from here again.second time ordering from here due to everyone has a bad night ,but his took the mick.Waited stupid amount of time for two small pizzas and they tasted awful.

The food was lovely however I had Been given a delivery time, 1 hour from ordering. 10 mins after that hour was up, I called only to be told they were just stating to cool our meal. If I had know it was going to take that long I would not have ordered here.

Wish I could add photos. Food was over an hour late, tried phoning the restaurant 8 times and got no amswer. When it finally arrived, the pizza was rock hard and inedible, the double burger I ordered only had one burger in it and the "mega" burger I ordered was literally just one piece of dry and hard meat with one slice of plastic cheese STILL IN THE WRAPPER thrown on top of the bun. I can appreciate the restaurant was busy but you can't send food out looking like that. It went in the bin and we had a frozen pizza instead. Can I get a refund please?

Terrible. Took almost 2 hours to deliver!

No way of contacting restaurant. 2 hours from order to delivery with no contact at all from the restaurant. Paid £2 for a single can of fanta when in actual fact I ordered a large bottle of pepsi. When I tried to rectify this: phone number supplied on the website does not work!! Please get in touch to rectify this as I can't seem to get hold of you. Very dissappointed.

It came with garlic sauce but I ordered chilli sauce other than that it was nice

Very confused to where our food is, this tells us it was delivered at 23:45 we've tried to ring to ask where our food is and now your shut, absolutely disgusting!

Absolutely appalling service, waited over an 1 hour and 40 minutes for food! After ringing twice to see how long they would be, I told them I didn't want the food as children had fallen asleep! Tried to get a refund and they had lied and said I received my order. Very rude on the phone not apologetic or anything! Would not recommend at all

Absolutely shocking!!! Food was 45 minutes late after being told it was on its way 30 minutes before. The food arrived cold and inedible, they also forgot the drink and took 1 hour to deliver the forgotten drink. I will never order from this place again!!!

WOW! The food from here is usually Very nice! But after nearly 2 hours wait for delivery it came warm and standard. I suggest castle kebab get rid of their delivery boy or hire another one if they are that busy! I will NEVER order food from here again but I will order to collect. Customer service is EVERYTHING in this type of business and their delivery service is dismal! Go pick up your food from here!

Ordered several times from the restaurant, and on 4 occasions things were missing or order wrong. Seriously need to sort the way their take away facility runs, packing and double checking orders . I will not be ordering from there again. Total shambles

WELL our chicken burgers were over cooked and rock hard (my boyfriend nearly cracked his crowned teeth) we asked for mayo they gave us runny ketchup (literally red water on a burger). Our pizza was dry and cold and taste like cardboard. Chips were aright and garlic bread was average. Wouldn't order here again. T👌🏼

Inhave ordered previously from here and recieved bad service bjt thought o would give the benefit of the doubt and try once more.. This time was worse and the last time they will have custom from me! Food was cold and delivered 2 hours after ordering! The excuse was that there is a new driver, now i accept this but 2 hours is excessive (i am not 10 minutes down the road!)
