Castle Chicken And Kebab House in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Chicken wings were very good. Large mixed kebab was tasty and the chicken was griddled. Nice all round meal but had better elsewhere. Would not rush back but at the same time would not not go agains however the shop had only just opened

I can't believe it has to be having to write this but, the delivery service. You have three other takeaways in Callington that all offer ONLINE delivery services except for Castle Chicken. Why. Why. The food is amazing, it's great, the customer service on the phone is great too. Really friendly people, but why do you only take cash, when all of the other takeaways in Callington offer delivery options. I live about 3 miles outside of Callington. All three takeaways deliver to me, because I have had food from all three of them. Castle Chicken only takes cash though. Why. Why?!?!Now I don't have a car, which makes it difficult to get to a cahspoint, because there is a huge stretch of road between me and a cashpoint. Everything is done online now. Why in the world is my favourite takeaway mad so difficult to order from. I don't really carry cash much with me anymore. I do it al online, because of a lack of car and oh convenience.The food though is amazing. Absolutely amazing. Moist, juicy chicken, cooked to perfection chips, tasty burgers, but as of the time of typing up this review, I am hungry, tired and have just had to borrow twenty quid from my neigbour. Again, every other takeaway has a simple online ordering process. Why can't you guys get with the times, and do the same thing.

Had popcorn chicken and fillet chicken burger meal. Really good stuff. Delivered to the St Mellion resort where i was staying.

Really good food. Get takeaway from here often. The only good kebab shop in callington. Always get the same as we love it here it’s a weekly tradition.

After a long drive down we wanted something quick and tasty. The rest of the family wanted Subway, but I fancied Chicken so had two pieces of chicken and chips from here. The chips were really really good and the chicken was nice and tasty as well :)

As a kebab shop I have used for the last 5 years I kept trying but it is really going downhill, the last three times I have ordered a chicken kebab they have been awful, the pita bread comes cut in half and destroyed! The chicken is very dry and mostly charcoal, tonight I asked them to leave the pita bread separate on the hope it would save it, they put that with the chicken in a box the pitta was in two pieces and unusable, another box had some salad and not even any sauce I had ordered! Chips were not nice and the spicy potatoes half cooked, wishing now I had not eaten it. The last time we will ever go there.

Why don't they serve it with chilli peppers ? Meat was OK but not much salad and no peppers , it must only cost Penny's for salad . Will never be as good as the one in saltash

Another tasty takeaway! Pleasant and courteous and I have never had a bad meal. Does what it says on the tin. Prices ok too.

We go to Castle Chicken now and again food is okay and not a bad price,my grandson loves the pizzas in there. There is always a little bit of a wait, but it is always freshly cooked. There is always someone in there so that is always a good sign.

We have been ordering occasionally in the past year from Castle and our experience is that it's certainly a hit and miss. I would like to say that most of the times it's a hit but the reason why we haven't made a review before is because we were still trying to make up our mind. Unfortunately our latest experience is so bad that we will not be ordering again as the food we got was disgusting and I'm not sure the staff working cared much about the quality of food and services they were serving us and others. We were left with half uneaten food and a bad taste in our mouth. Burnt and greasy food with rude staff. It's unfortunate because the times the food was good it was most definitely a hit which is why we kept going back.

We have had so many terrible issues with this take away place. It's hard to remember all the problems.

Chicken kebabs and pizza are always lovely, in fact we drive from Liskeard as we don't live in callington anymore but they are by far better than any takeaway in Liskeard! Chicken Always cooked perfectly, salad always fresh and good price.Staff are chatty and friendly too

Some kebab shops chuck it together. Castle don't. When I got the kebab home it was served with care. I went for a chicken kebab. It was very good. The only issue was the wait.

El 'caballeros' que trabaja aquí me acosaron como estaba tratando de ordenar. Luego, cuando volví a recoger estaban hablando de cómo su esposa manso es ahora su palmadas. Que se boicotea este lugar para siempre más. La comida, el menú y los precios estaban bien, pero desafortunadamente el personal no era nada! !

If a Kebab is what you want, then you should be fine with this Kebab place, never had a bad one yet.

Excellent fast food take away, that cooks everything fresh in front of you. They also now deliver which is rare in cornwall

Tuvimos una entrega de esta casa kebab la semana pasada durante la estancia en la zona. Me encantó que ellos brindan como no hay mucho en la ciudad de Callington que parecía. Mi pareja unidos el llevar en sí es presentable y limpio en apariencia cuando ella recoge el menú. El personal también parece ser cortés y amable y no tuvimos ningún problema para encontrar nuestra dirección de entrega. Tiempo de entrega unos 45 minutos así que la media. Sólo se puede comentar sobre la comida que compramos era patatas, estaban bien, que era un donner carne grasienta, pero poco abundante, Pizza festín de carne y una Americana que estaban bien, pero no podía realmente distinguir entre ellos en sabor. La mayonesa de ajo bañeras que pedimos era muy salada y de nuevo un poco grasiento en sabor. En general el promedio para una casa de kebab, probablemente probaría otro en la ciudad la próxima vez para comparar. Este no parece sin embargo el más concurrido de los dos y he notado el otro no está en Tripadvisor.

Have never had bad food from here, and they do home delivery (although sometimes this can be quite delayed).The pizzas are amazing and overall very good value for money. The staff are always friendly and polite.

Good food served promptly at a reasonable price. The establishment is clean and tidy and seems to be well managed. I will visit again.

It's always as you'd expect, delicious. Always very clean inside and the staff are very friendly. Much tastier than many other food places in Callington!

great kebabs and huge portions. perfect after a long days walk. meat was tender & sauce nice and hot.

Had a takeaway from here recently and must say it was a disappointment. I had the kebab meat with chips that basically was just a greasy mess. And the sauce that was used that was described as garlic mayo I'm not sure. My family's meals looked ok nothing special but ok. With so many take aways in town they need to do better

The staff are polite . You get your food fast and food is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quility as very tasty .They do delivery to your door which is very useful and they have been in callington for years so ive used them since they opened and each year they get better and better

The food is Average for a takeaway. You don't have to wait too long to be served. Its ok, but nothing to write home about. We have eaten food from here many times.

Like the title says this is a local takeaway. It's easy and good food. Never Had a problem and I must admit I've used it a fair few times when I'm being lazy

Looking at the place from the outside we almost turned away to find somewhere else, it looks terrible, but it was raining and we were hungry.Don't let the outside look of this place put you off. Inside everything looks new they have a very extensive menu - we ordered 4 pizzas which were freshly made, ready in about 15 minutes and really really good. The Chicken and Chips that was going out to other customers looked great too.

staying at nearby Oakridge holiudays & owners recommended this. Looks kind of tacky from the outside but the food was actually very good. Large p[ortions too so great for family with teenagers

If you ever visit Callington then get the Hot and Spicy pizza from this take away outlet. It was phenomenal - wish they could deliver to Essex!!!!!!! My son ordered the chicken wings and loved them. The base was freshly cooked, the toppings were generous and full of flavour. The gentlemen who served me were both pleasant and polite. Thankyou

had a large kebab it was very nice but would have been better if the meat was hot it was nearly cold when i got home that's why it got a 3

Good pizza! If not a wait...due to them being busy. Clean and well present,fresh ingredients and reasonable in quality.

This is a take away. Food is always the same good standard. It is not for the health conscious.... But it is always tasty and freshly prepared. The only negative comment is that kebabs are not normally available after about 10, even though they don't shut until 11.Staff are always very polite and hard working. The place is kept impeccably clean

You have to travel miles in Cornwall for a branded pizza, here they do a very tasty alternative, burgers lovely and always good offers.Can be busy at weekends but worth the wait, all clean and presentable.
