So I visited this place with my buddy. We ordered croissants coffee banana cake and carrot cake. The banana cake was spoilt and I could see the fungus on it. Don’t know how they sell that without noticing. The carrot cake was too sweet for me, if you are looking for something moderately sweet or less sweet don’t try carrot cake. The coffee was good as we had oat milk coffee. The croissants were okay as well. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this place again because of how the food wasn’t in best condition. I think they might have been from previous days and probably not fresh.

Amazing vegan cafe. The tofu scramble wrap and croissants were delicious! They also had the best chai latte I have ever had! It had a good spice to it! Would definitely recommend!

Popped in here a couple of times now before work and it’s my new favourite cafe! Lovely staff and vibes inside, the cakes are incred!

Cute place and love that it is vegan but super overpriced for what you are getting. I had the “Salmon” for breakfast which was two toast with a bit of spread and carrots which were very salty. I wouldn’t come here again.

Amazing and fresh lunch. It was fantastic to get some fresh green vegetables! We tried three different dishes and everything was great. Highly recommend if you’re in Bath. They do take away too!

Excellent all vegan cafe! Had the carrot and cream cheeze toast, with an aneth marinade that really made the taste quite similar to salmon. The capuccino was great and cake rich, just wish the slice was bigger for the price!

I was greeted with cool chilled and a humourous response despite Cascara having kitchen malfunctions today. I had the Chickpea melt which is kinda like a tuna melt but vegan of course. It came in a beautiful dish, presented well, a tasty fresh salad on the side and the best bit is it was tasty! Id have it again. I finished with an orange and almond sponge cake, not at all a boring plain sponge bit sticky and bursting with sweet citrus flavours. And of course an oat cappuccino to round things off. Service with a smile, tasty good looking good food (or was that the staff?!) and a pleasant place to be. Im not a local, it's my first visit and unlike Arnie, I'll not crack bad dad joke puns, I'll return sometime soon. (Double cake order next time!).

We love popping by to Cascara. It's one place our son can choose whatever he wants to eat from all the lovely treats.

Person fronting very warm and friendly but service slow and food just okay. Ordered the 'salmon' (not a great deal of flavour) on sourdough toast and scrambled tofu on sourdough. Disappointed with the sourdough which was quite dry, thin and pre sliced.

The baristas can’t even make a simple iced latte, instead they give you a watery lukewarm coffee …I don’t recommend

Such a find! I visited on my own for the first time recently and enjoyed a matcha latte and a slice of gluten free vegan cake (and a beetroot latte to go). I'm intolerant to both gluten and dairy (and can't tolerate coffee), so having such a variety of drinks beyond just herbal tea was just so appreciated. Having a choice of gluten free cakes to choose from is quite rare as well, and was such a treat and also hugely appreciated! The berry custard slice was swiftly inhaled! It was all clearly labeled and I appreciated the gluten free cakes being on the top shelf, which cafes don't often do. Thank you for doing what you do!

Really disappointed 😞 been going here for a couple of years, but the last two visits Thursday 21st Dec / and roughly a fortnight earlier! I asked for an oat HOT chocolate. Unfortunately the visit before the 21st my Hot chocolate was luke warm! On returning on the 21st I asked if the Hot chocolate cld be EXTRA HOT! Nope!!!! Again barley warm . So upset!!! What's gone wrong? 🤔 probably won't return...shame!

Wonderfully helpful and nice staff here with delicious food and baked goods. Coffee was nice and the smoothies and juices sounded amazing. Cute and small. Cozy! Would recommend for any vegans or omnivores alike.

What a fantastic vegan cafe in the heart of Bath! We tried the Vegan Pecan pastry, Bischoff brownie, hot chocolate and the golden days smoothie! All delicious! Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff, for sure a must visit for Foody vegans. The hot food looked good too, mainly toast / toasties / brunchy bits. Thank you Cascara!

Sadly, the coffee here just isn’t up to scratch. The coffee was not right, and the oat milk was not done well. That said, the cake I had here was phenomenal, and the staff were nice… but if you’re coming for coffee, stay away I’m afraid.

Went to Cascara for a quick lunch during a busy period in the cafe. This is a small vegan cafe with lots of atmosphere. They offer a great selection of breakfast and lunch items. The staff are friendly and helpful explaining the menu and specials to customers. I ordered the tofu scrambled egg wrap which was served in good time. It was perfectly cooked and was full of flavour. Definitely recommend to vegans visiting Bath looking for a wholesome meal.

It’s a cosy vegan place with creative solutions of dishes. Service was a little slow and low energy and we got an americano coffee instead a turmeric latte. It happens. I missed a little music that could have added some plus to the atmosphere.

Chilled out little cafe does great salads. Ideal if you're trying to steer clear of gluten and lactose, though not all dishes are GF. The juices we had seemed a little expensive for what we got but quality was good. Nice coffee for my taste.

Was visiting Bath for the weekend with my boyfriend and we popped in here for a quick brunch. The food was absolutely excellent, I would highly recommend the tofu scramble wrap. They also have a great menu and I felt spoilt for choice! The staff were friendly and the food/drinks came out quickly. My boyfriend also had a green juice which he said was nice, but could have done with some ice added as it tasted slightly warm. However, we will definitely be back the next time we visit Bath.

We were looking for a gluten free cafe stop while exploring Bath. We found this lovely cafe. Super staff. All vegan with gluten free options. Highly recommend the salted caramel crunch and millionaires bar. Super cappuccino.. Have it with almond milk. Yum!

Visited the wonderful city of Bath and found this amazing gem of a restaurant. The coffee was delicious and the pastries incredible- cinnamon buns and almond croissant. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant has a lovely vibrant atmosphere. They could also guarantee the hot chocolate was dairy free as my daughter has a dairy allergy and often even vegan hot chocolate has traces! A must if you visit Bath!

Delicious lunch and incredible desserts! We came back two days in a row. All vegan, great service, little bit of outdoor seating. Got tofu scramble wrap, TLT, seasonal salad wrap, chickpea melt, and a bunch of desserts. Everything was amazing, with the chocolate hazelnut cookies being the standout.

Amazing time here - we went twice in two days and had to go back for a second dessert! Also note there is a little bit of both indoor and outdoor seating. The chickpea melt and TLT sandwiches are both excellent and come with a side salad. The seasonal salad wraps were delicious. The chocolate hazelnut cookies are AMAZING - they are not to be missed!! Other desserts were also great (dark chocolate brownie, chai spice cake, chocolate peanut butter cake) but the cookies are the best. Great staff and delicious food. We love finding and supporting an all vegan place so this was perfect!

What a find! Amazing 100% vegan café. Delicious food with loads of choice. Maybe the cake portions could be bigger for what they cost... Otherwise, definitely coming back when we're in the area! Bath doesn't know how lucky it is ahaha

Stopped for brunch while in Bath for the day - lovely food & friendly staff!

The gf lemon thing was absolutely awful. Dry as a bone and no flavour whatsoever. The teapot was broken and I scolded myself when the boiling hot tea spilled all over me. We asked if there was a table upstairs and was told Oh! I would need to clear a table…..so we sat outside. The staff were not warm and friendly, we felt like were in the way. Never again and don’t bother.

The perfect vegan café and the most friendly staff! Food was excellent and coffee was out of this world. I 100% recommend this beautiful café to anyone I know who's going to bath. It has an excellent vibe and definitely worth the visit. I couldn't be happier to have visited such a gem :)

Always loved the look of Cascara. Sadly, it's the worst service I've had at a coffee shop in Bath. Came here for a lunchtime coffee, presuming they served the drink they're named after. "It's just a name," the employee replied, apparently annoyed I even asked. I ordered a flat white with almond milk instead. The employee was curt throughout the transaction. When my coffee arrived (again, with no niceties) it was a disappointing mess. In fairness, it tasted far better far than it looked. With so many great cafes with lovely service in Bath - Rooted, Society, Colonna's, Mokoko - there's no reason to ever come back here.

Don't get the rave reviews. This was some of the blandest dahl we've had in our lives! Perhaps we got them on an off day but I doubt we'll ever go back to find out.

Nice food, issue with the order so we only received one order not the two we thought we were getting. My friend had recently had an operation so having handled the stairs, it wasn’t great to be asked (it was delivered as a fait accompli) to move for a large group. Not the best place for those with restricted mobility. We’ve experienced better service. Coffee was nice.

While I don’t oppose a £9 sandwich, I would expect a bit more from it. I had the tempeh sandwich which was dry and unpleasant, and the kimchi toastie which was alright. The vegan cheese they used in the toastie was a blast from the past with so much nice vegan cheese being available today. The cheese kind of ruined the otherwise nice toastie. It’s definitely not worth £9.

Went in for a Americano coffee today with soy and an Avocado toastie. As always, amazing. This is by far the best coffee shop experience I know of out of any city, for me that's Bath, Bristol, Lyon France, Copenhagen, Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Excellent food, friendly staff, a must visit. :)

I wanted to spend some time with my friend but also not leave my puppy alone. 😕 so i called and the staff said they welcome doggies which was amazing. We had fresh, tasty food and the staff were friendly and accommodating. All great. Will defo come again.

Love it here. It was a busy Sunday but the staff were really helpful. Had a delicious cake and coffee. It's great to have somewhere with so many vegan options. We love it. Sometimes we try to go elsewhere but we always end up back at Cascara.

i went today around lunchtime w some friends while visiting bath - it was one of the first things that popped up on happy cow for vegan food. I had a tlt sandwich and a oat cappuccino, both were really lovely but i can’t lie it took a really long time to come like questionably long did they just forget? either way it was a nice experience and i didn’t starve to death .

Stumbled across this lovely little cafe and had a delicious lunch. It’s tiny so be prepared to wait for a table.. we sat upstairs and had an orange smoothie and enjoyed a salad bowl with side of muhammara, the kimchee cheez toastie and the chickpea “Tuna” melt toastie. Very yummy and filling. Would definitely return. So lovely to get proper, well thought out, well made and delicious vegan food …. and lots of choice! 💚

Went here for breakfast. I ordered the avocado on toast and a smoothie. The smoothie was lovely but the avocado on toast was an appallingly small portion for the price (£9 if I recall correctly). Two measly pieces of sourdough cut about as thin as physically possible with a scraping of avocado and one cherry tomato! In contract my husband had the cream cheese and “salmon” on toast which was spread thickly and piled high on the plate, which he really enjoyed. I know things are tight for businesses right now and I always want to support independent vegan businesses but this really does not represent value for money and I left feeling hungry. For contrast the day previous I had a full breakfast from the Green Rocket for just a couple of quid more.

We visited Cascara in November 2022 and it did NOT disappoint. We shared a kimchi toastie and a chickpea melt toastie and both were simply delicious. The fiery orange juice was zingy and refreshing. Add to that the friendly staff and a cosy environment and you have a vegan cafe made in heaven. 10/10 would recommend.

Quirky bohemian feel all good and drinks served with a smile. We had an espresso ( speciality coffee shop) which mum said was fab and I had a pumpkin and turmeric tea with a Lyn aubergine and pesto sourdough toastie. Really tasty ..

Please don’t waste your time or money here. Small portions and over priced. £7 for burnt toast with peanut butter. We ended up visiting Cafe Rouge and had a great breakfast for half the price.

Cascara is just the best cafe in Bath. 100% vegan, 100% friendly. It was the first place I tried on a recent visit and I went back every day. Whether you’re there for coffee and cake or juice and lunch, you’re not going to be disappointed. Best thing was probably the staff though. Super (and importantly genuinely) friendly and lovely to chat to. There are lots of great independent coffee shops in Bath, but Cascara pips them all.

Being on the lookout for vegan eateries, I have wanted to try this cafe in ages and finally had the opportunity on Saturday. We arrived too late to try the food as the kitchen had just closed so I opted for a 'love me' smoothie and a cherry almond cake. Both were delicious! Vegan cakes can be so hit or miss but this was moist and super tasty. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to returning to try out the brunch menu!

WOW great scrambled eggs wrap. also my husband had toast with coconut yogurt, banana, seeds. all very tasty, and speedy. small place to visit, lucky to be able to get a table upstairs. It was a hot day, so warm in the front room. coffee, choice of milks. plenty of snack choices. we had brunch. clean, staff friendly. water available. and toilet down stairs.

I chose to visit as my brother doesn't eat egg and I love juice.In the end we both had coffee and cake. In a wide experience of both vegan and non vegan cakes these were among the best I've had. Pistachio lime loaf for me, and blueberry bakewell for him. My first experience of an oatmilk flat white - it was quite dark and very strong, but good.Staff although busy, very welcoming and pleasant decor inside.Will be returning

I love cascara, been many times over the past few years - the best spot for coffees and lunch! Staff are really friendly and they the cakes are delicious! The only downside is when you can't get a seat because they're busy!

Have had really good food from here and like the variety the menu offers!Love that there is always a selection of cakes, it’s such a novelty to have a wide choice of vegan cakes! Sadly I have had some poor experience with drinks, on my most recent visit my Oat milk Latte was extremely burnt, I was unable to drink it after a few tester sips so it sadly went to waste, This has happened in the past when I have had take away coffee from here but I thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt and try again. I have also experienced a smoothie (pre COVID) that seemed like little thought had been put towards the flavour & my partner agreed the taste seemed as if the ingredients were all past it likely drying up & going off. I love the relaxing environment, especially upstairs perfect for when you need to get some work done or wanting to catch up with a friend (pre covid). I’d love to visit more and try out more food but feel slightly weary due to my bad luck with some drinks, saying that I love the yummy hot chocolates and often tell people about the delicious mint hot chocolate I’ve had from here. I am very thankful to staff following guidelines to keep everyone safe and still being friendly while working in these conditions.

Visited last week. Staff were not particularly welcoming. We both had a coffee and cake. First time here and will be the last. Coffee was the worst I’ve had in years my friend couldn’t drink hers. Our cakes were dry, almost like they were a week old. Most disappointing and won’t be returning.

I've been going to Cascara pretty much twice a week for over a tear now, and it's just magic! The best oaty latte in Bath, the yummiest vegan food PLUS the staff are all literal angels. If you're in Bath you MUST GO!

Had the chickpea and vegan cheese toastie and a slice of berry custard cake - both delicious. Social-distancing measures were taken very seriously as well, making it feel very safe. Highly recommend.

Neither of us are vegans but we loved our choice of a cappuccino coffee (made with almond milk) and the wonderful Monkey Nut smoothie/milk shake (peanut butter, banana and almond milk with a little ice).
