the food was nothing to be honest, the burgers were very dry and not tasty for this price, as if they were kept and served not fresh, next time I’d prefer to take my food with me,No recommended at all

The room was excellent and the bed for very comfortable. And a great breakfast!!!would definitely come back here

Delicious food, cooked to a high standard and surved by amazingly bright charactors wouldent hesetate to visit again.

I like so many other reviewers stayed at the carrbridge hotel on holiday, and naturally of course dined at the grill room restaurant. As I said in my main review, The food was nothing short of delicious, from the fresh ingrediants to the locally sourced meat, everything impeccable! I have dinned at some of the finest resturants all across the island of britain, and indeed europe, and i can say with lots of satisfaction that the grill room resturant is a hidden gem of the highlands.

Ate here most nights and never disappointed! meal after meal was nothing short of exceptional, Lots of food on the plate that tasted amazing and leaves you feeling full and satisfied.

We actually stayed at the hotel but had dinner at the grill room a cupple of nights and honestly the food was some of the best weve had in scotland to date. I had the fish and chips and my husband had a pasta dish, could not recommend enough. Big portion sizes, with tasty food. 10/10

Accepted a party of 4 without booking. They were very accomodating for a nut allergy, checking whether certain foods were permissible. However some cream to accompany the cheesecake or a bit of fresh fruit would have made it more appealing.

Ate here one night as part of our stay, really enjoyed our stay but the food was amazing. definitely will visit again for a lunch or dinner.

Fantastic hotel/resturant i wish i could take your chef home with me. definitely worth a visit if your passing by.

A fantastic little restaurant inside a fantastic little hotel, as I previously stated in my other review, we ate at Both restaurants but thoroughly enjoyed the grill room especially the fish and chips.

Ate here most night at our stay at the Carrbridge hotel would highly recommend the fish and chips as other reviews have stated.

In all honesty i was a fan of both restaurants in the CB hotel however my children were obsessed with the fish and chips here however i can't complain about them as i was obsessed with the Burger and my wife with the pasta.

i had the fish and chips and my husband had the steak and chips! both were delicious, well done to the chefs and all the staff there!

Stayed in the hotel and ate in the normal hotel restaurant most nights and if I'm honest i really enjoyed my experience this is what made me want to pay the extra to try the grill room to see if it rally is value for money.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat ended up staying at the hotel. cannot recommend the place enough.

huge portion sizes with delicious food, we also had lunch here and would definitely eat and stay here again.

Me and my husband ate here and absolutely loved the meal!!! the staff were very friendly and the food was to die for, although if I had to complain about something it would be that the portions were huge and I'm not a big fan of wasting food.

Couldn't recommend the place enough. Delicious vegetarian options and staff that can actually answer your questions.

Brilliant food, very welcoming. We stayed at the hotel as part of our holiday package but was tempted in by the second restaurants menu. would advice anyone passing to stop by.

Ate at this restaurant most nights during our stay and enjoyed every meal, we also had lunch here on a few occasions, Great light bites.

I have to agree with the other reviews, I enjoyed my experience form the food to the service would eat here again if passing.

Really enjoyed the burger here, my wife enjoyed the steak pie. We would both eat and visit here again.

Normally when a location has a big menu the sacrifice quality! however this place has a large selection of items and every time I ate here, each time ordering something different I was never disappointed.

Really enjoyed our meals I followed the reviews on here and went for the fish and chips and couldn't agree with everyone more.

Stayed here as part of a party group and we all really enjoyed the food, the staff were also kind and couldn't do enough for us would definitely pop in past for a meal if your passing!

We stayed here with our family and there is a choice of two restaurants we ate at the grill room each night and got a discount as we were residents!

We only had a meal at the grill room for one night but loved our time. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the steak, both were fantastic and would and have recommended this place to friends!!!

Ate here one night. loved the food I had the Carrbridge burger and the other half had the steak, then of course we shared a chocolate cake for desert. if your passing definitely a great eat!!!!

stayed here with family on a trip of a lifetime for me the hotel has two restaurants we ate at the grill room fish and chips is actually the best I've had and I grew up in a sea side town

stayed here with the family. nothing like having a great fish and chips informant of a log burner with your family, the weather in Scotland may be unpredictable but that doesn't matter with good food and good company. thumbs up from me CB hotel.

great food, kind staff and fantastic atmosphere... what more do you need. would recommend to a friend. other reviews are not lying, try the fish and chips best I've had by far.

stayed here on holiday. had fish and chips, husband had stake pie. and both had carrbridge burger for our second night. will return again.

Decent enough pub food centred around a Scottish highland themed menu. The haggis and mozzarella bon bons were superb. The haggis lasagne was also interesting. Service was sporadic but pleasant enough. Would happily eat here again when in the area.

Enjoyed several evenings here was very busy, good atmosphere We ate a meal was to be recommended. Locals very friendly and there was a welcoming fire.

Good staff coped very with an influx of visitors, us . Soup and and other food very nice could have done with more of selection but it was late December

We ate here several time for dinner, as we stayed in town the food was average,ordered fish and chips one night the fish was very greasy ,service was slow even when not busy, staff seemed confused with food orders at the bar ? hit and miss if was coming to the table. go early before 6:00 or be prepared to wait

The food here is brilliant along with the cozy fun atmosphere. I really enjoyed it along with good company. It is a must for anybody visiting Carrbridge.

We visit this restaurant 2 times- it was always full and we had to wait for a table. But the food was very good and the selection at the Menu was also good. We tried to reserve a table for 4 persons but unforunatly they only make reservations by more than 10 or 12 persons - therefor only 3 points.

Auf unserer Rundreise durch Schottland waren wir auch 2 Tage in Carrbridge. An beiden Abenden sind wir hier gelandet, da einfach alles passt: das Essen ist frisch und sehr lecker (besonders empfehlenswert ist die Haggis-Lasagne und das Millionaire Mousse), die Bar hat leckere Whiskeys, man kommt mit den Bewohnern der Stadt gut ins Gespräch und kann gemütlich Billiard spielen! Ein uriger und gemütlicher Pub mit sehr gutem Essen!

We chose this place because our furry friend was with us.A cosy and welcoming place where the prices for food and drink are very fair and service was friendly and efficient.We all liked the atmosphere and the food was excellent.Will be our automatic port of call the next time we are in Carrbridge.

L'Augergiste nous avait recommandé un restaurant sur la rue Main Street. Nous nous sommes retrouvés dans ce resto qui nous semblait. Le menu nous semblait déjà trop garnie, mai nous avons pris une chance. C'était horrible comme repas et le service à la table était mauvais. Nous avons rempli nos verres de vins nous même. Le saumon était passé date et sec. Ils me l'ont échangé aussitôt que j'ai fait la remarque. L'autre assiette servie était moins pire et tant mieux nous n'avons pas été malade. Il n'y avait pas beaucoup de monde pour un aussi grand menu.

The pub was recommended by the nearby hotel. We ate 2 nights in a row here as we really liked the food. Fish and chips, mussels, hamburger as well as the lamb was really nice. Service is a little slow but no problem while you enjoy your beer. They also accept kids and pets which is very kind too

meals were of good standered and portions very good. food arrived nicely presented and hot. staff were very attentive to our needs. it was lovely to see a pub allowing dogs in. all in all a fab place deff reccommend this place.

Las 6 noches que estuvimos en carrbridge estuvimos aquí 3 noches es acogedor, un perro simpático y la comida es hermoso! El personal era encantador! Desde los entrantes al postre bien presentado y muy sabroso!

Nos pareció que el ambiente de este restaurante era buena - cálido, acogedor y agradable. El menú tiene una opción de pasar un buen rato con platos locales y tradicionales inn comida. El pescado y las patatas fritas estaban perfectamente bien, el plato era de tamaño medio y bien preparado y probado el pescado fresco. Servicio estaba perfectamente bien también atenta y puntual. Los precios son promedio para este tipo de restaurante en esta parte de Escocia y nos volveríamos si en este pueblo muy bonita en futuras ocasiones.

Es un taverna más para tomarte una cerveza que para tener una buena cena. El servicio regular y la comida no especialmente destacable. Si no eres demasiado exigente, es una buena opción si no tienes otra cosa a mano.

A traditional local inn offering lots of choice on a menu for all. Food is delicious and hearty and caters for all. Good value for money and pleasant family owners.

Food was great and plenty of it. 19 in our party but still managed to get us all eating in good time. Children were allowed small adult portions when requested and plates were all cleaned. Special mention of Kate who was so patient and helpful.

Ate one evening meal on a Friday night. The place looks lovely from the outside, but is very dated inside, and there is no real atmosphere to speak of. Waitress was very friendly, but service was slow.The menu looked very tempting, lots of choice, but the supposedly 'lemon and garlic' chicken skewers had no coating and were bland, rubbery and served with an iceberg lettuce salad right out of the 90s. My husband said his gammon was ok, but neither of us were inspired and I'd go out of my way to avoid in the future.

Unpretentious but honest, well cooked and tasty food. Seasonal, locally sourced dishes mixed in with pub classics. Well cooked vegetables are a detail worthy of mention too. We ate here for two evenings, and whilst service might be slow and decor is almost off putting the food was very reasonably priced and far better than some other reviews suggest. Beer is well kept too. For the price and location we felt it was something of a find and that it deserves positive feedback and appreciation.

It has a cosy fireplace and the food is cheap. I do recommend to choose your food wisely as the kitchen is small and its doesn't look like they make everything from scratch. I was meaning to only stay for a beer but we ended up having something basic to eat which was quite decent. When we went it was not busy and I enjoyed the peace and quiet there.

We spent New Year's Eve here - excellent traditional live band, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a great whisky selection. Liked it so much we returned for dinner on New Year's Day. Excellent fish & chips, exceptional sticky toffee pudding and generous cheese board. The only minor negative is the décor which is slightly lacking - but I'm being pernickety.

We visited this hotel for lunch initially on a cold wet September afternoon. Its always a mission finding places that serve nice food and accept dogs so we were pleased to take refuge here. the Hotel bar is cozy and warm with a long fire and the service was great. We visited again later in the day for an evening meal but ended up eating in a room which wasn't as nice because the main bar was full. the food was never the less tasty considering we arrived quite late in the evening and the service still good. We would recommend booking a table in the hotel or arriving early in order to get a nice table if you have a doggy companion with you.

Absolutely no complaints about the food we had, portion sizes were good too. However the room we sat in was big and empty while the rest of the hotel seemed to have been taken over by a bus tour (looks like this is the hotel's main source of income). The hotel looks in dire need of re-vamping as the interior is very dated. We didn't bother staying for a drink after the meal, there's an excellent pub for that down the road for that, where you're as well going for something to eat too.

We ate 2 nights running and had good food both nights. Staff very friendly and bar/lounge has a comfortable feel to it. The first night we sat in the restaurant by ourselves as the lounge was full, so not a very good atmosphere - a little stark.Would definitely eat there again, when we return.

Stayed here for 1 night and I'm pleased it was only for 1 night. Room was freezing. Good modern decor though. Food was awful! Decided to have a special Birthday treat in having my favourite dish - curry. The curry was very poor and probably came from a jar with a few pieces of chicken. The portion size was that small, it looked liked a child's portion. Was still hungry after however, seeing as I paid about £13 for something off the kids menu, I refused to spend more money. Sadly, won't be staying here again!

If you want a bar meal go to a pub. If you want a burger go to Macdonalds, they are £11 here.If you like rude bar staff and long waits you are in fo a treat.

Établissement vieillot et déprimant, cuisine déplorable. Nous souhaitions commander le plat du jour mais curieusement il n'y en avait plus alors que nous étions arrivés tôt pour dîner.Nous n'avons pas pu manger notre plat principal tant il était sec. Le serveur voyant que nous n'avions pratiquement pas touché à nos assiettes, nous en a demandé la raison et finalement nous a rapporté une assiette de fromages avec du pain qui ne nous a pas été facturée.

Went to this restaurant by accident, and boy was it an accident. The service was slow, and the food seemed like it had been reheated in the microwave - the meat and bread were hard around the edges. If you're really hungry, it's ok since they do give you alot of food.

The hotel seems to cater for overnight coach parties who use a very large dining room. For others, there’s the ‘Grill and Bar,’ a single room of bland and depressing decor. The menu is more pub than restaurant but the table staff were friendly and helpful. Show a room key for any hotel to get a 10% discount but it won't add to the experience.There are better options nearby.

Food was very good , which was unfortunate as the hotel itself as very poor. Unfortunately management doesn't recognize this.

If you want to experience the worst of highland hospitality this is the place. I tried to buy a cup of coffee and waited 30 minutes before I left. The one server was admittedly very busy but how long does it take to pour a cup of black coffee ? And why could the kitchen only produce one dish at a time. The owner appeared briefly,inspected the cakes and then disappeared without appearing to do anything. Basil Fawlty rides again in Carrbridge. As another reviewer said try the Cairn Hotel.

Restaurant was cheap and charmless. Food was crap microwaved meals and oven chips. Such a shame. I came here ten years ago and it was a lovely restaurant with great food and some excellent game dishes. Will NOT be going back. Eat at the hotel down the road instead. Streets ahead.

One of those places where you get the feeling the staff just wished you, and all the other patrons, would just go away and leave them alone. The food was okay, but not terrific. The dining room didn't have much appeal, but the outside seating was better.

cold boring food for dinner, breakfast was good. There is another restaurant in the hotel with al a carte menu but we were on a tour where our meals were included
