We were regular users of the old Carlyles despite living in Hampshire , the drive was worth it. Today we sampled the new cafe now called Whittakers. Positive points friendly staff and now dog friendly. Negative points food average and the breakfast omelette is now served with a hash brown instead of the little fried spuds of old.

New owner here, we were told. A perfect bacon and egg sandwich was presented on a stone cold plate, and thus spoiled. And where are the cakes of old? That delicious dorset/devon apple cake?

19 Blakes RoadFood not bad BUT Toilets are disgusting - ladies cobwebs galore around pipework. Top of ceramic under the seat absolutely rotten and both hand basins extremely filthy

Rogers LaneVery disappointed particularly when I asked after a stock item and again was given no indication that they were never going to order it. My £25.00 birthday gift voucher from my great grandchildren is lost!
