If you want to eat from the most unhygienic place in Westfield come here ! The lady that severed me (Asian lady ) coughed on my meal right before closing the lid ! I was shocked ! I literally couldn’t believe it. She didn’t seem to think anything of it and then proceeded to ask me for payment. Never buying from here again!

Worst service ever from the black man serving there today. Whilst waiting for my train, I got to this stand got around closing hour and with lots of dishes still displayed, I asked if they would be throwing them away. His reply was ‘we’ve closed, we’ve closed, we’ve closed!’. I wasn’t sure that was a customer centric reply considering I was polite to him and have never met him before. His colleagues cleaning up around him seemed taken aback too at his aggression and disgraceful attitude. I would avoid if you don’t want to be put off due waiter’s unresolved anger management issues.

Awful food, I’ve been there a couple of times now and regretted each time! The last time I had a jerk chicken wrap which was tasteless with more lettuce than anything else. The chicken that was in there was full of bone and gristle.

He comprado comida de escenas caribeñas algunas veces.

The food was alright but felt abit rip off with the prices and portion value, the lamb curry needed to be heated up so that did took awhile but it was cold the first time...had to go back and ask them to reheat it, if you got abit extra more money and dont mind the walk I suggest going upstairs where they are little bit better they serve better curry there

We loved our visit to the Caribbean Scene Restaurant. We came to do shopping in Westfield from Colchester Town. The colour of smoothies catches our eyes and me and my partner decided to have lunch from there after shopping. He order Curry Goat and I like chicken and ordered Jerk chicken. The food was excellent absolutely loved it. Prices are cheap as compared to other Caribbean restaurant in the Westfield. We both had meal under £15. The other great thing was the host, who was charming and provided excellent service he offered us their new smoothie. Will visit again next time we are near Startford.

Just had a very disappointing experience - ordered two detox juices. The first two came with an overpowering amount of ginger for a juice - blew our heads off! When they were remade they came with no ginger or apple - so just tasted of dirty carrots! For £4.50 each I expected much more. They were small cups and the ice wasn't even blended in with the juice. Much better juice and smoothie options in Westfield. Will not be returning.

Caribbean food without the sunshine. I do not think that Levi Roots would approve. I was served some seriously bland food. The Jerk Chicken tasted like Chicken minus the Jerk! Come on people, Caribbean food is meant to be full bodied, bold and leave a smile on your face. I certainly was not left smiling at the poor portion sizes and dull food. Limited Halal Menu.

I've had jerk chicken from here twice. I really hate the way they microwave the food in front of you- not a nice feeling. They give a thigh and drumstick. I find their portions very big. Taste I would say is average but it's quick and is cheaper than other places in westfield. (Chicken and rice £5.25) they also have this carrot cake it's not freshly baked but I like it for some reason. This place has potential

I often go to this restaurant and have recommended it to many of my friends who also love the food there. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious with decent prices. Though it doesn't taste exactly like the food back home, it is one of the best caribbean restaurants I've been to in London. I highly recommend their patties and trying the food there.

This Caribbean scene venue is not the same as the Caribbean scene restaurant which was 5 minutes away and has now closed down (though owned by the same people). This "food stand" is in the middle of Westfield shopping centre (Stratford) by the food courts where numerous other vendors (e.g. McDonalds) are available. The food is all there heated up and when you order they re-warm it in the microwave in front of you. I have to say I had no problems with the service, the guy who served me was friendly and swapped a side dish for me when I did not want the one that ordinarily came with the meal. However my meat (oxtail) was bony and lacking flavour. It did not drop off the bone in the way that nicely cooked oxtail does and it was a rare occasion when I felt like I could have done better myself (I prefer sampling than cooking food). My fried dumplings were pleasant but then there is normally little room for error with these. 2 of the approximately 8 staff seemed of Caribbean extraction and I did wonder if the food had actually been cooked by someone Caribbean (or at least used to regularly eating Caribbean food) or by someone simply following a Caribbean recipe. I would try this place once more to see how the food fared again but certainly in the bottom rankings of Caribbean food I have tasted.

I really wish I could give this zero stars. Anyone who could ever think this is good food is clearly ill. In fact, I think anyone who is of the Caribbean persuasion should take real offence to what's being dished out here as it is a poor representation of what such a delicious and flavoursome cuisine should taste like. How would I describe the food. Extremely Salty with poor seasoning. The brown stew chicken was absolutely shocking complimented with the worst rice and peas I've ever had in my life. Worse yet, the worst caribbean dish I have ever eaten. I was extremely hungry and i managed to force myself to eat a very small portion, throwing the rest in the bin. The plantain was revolting. Tasted like it had been half cooked then frozen then microwaved and it had a weird aftertaste that I have never ever experienced with plantain before. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!

I love Caribbean food and decided to stop here for a snack mid shop. It is a kiosk really with seating in the food court opposite. It proved to be an annoying experience!!Firstly there is no queuing system to talk of, at least that was my experience. I stood at the counter waiting to be served. All food items are cooked and reheated in a microwave to a temperature, as we later found out, guaranteed to remove the inner lining of your mouth without due care and attention.I began to make my order and as I did so I was asked questions about what I wanted with my meal - accompaniments etcetera. I turned to ask my wife who was sitting at the seating area less than five feet away and when I turned back to communicate the information, my server was gone to serve someone else. Charming! That piece of customer service really irked me. Next up was the almost aforementioned temperature of the food, nuked as it was in a microwave. The patties were extremely hot and the contents hotter still as hot air was trapped inside only to be released once you had bitten into it.The prices are exorbitant, I guess in keeping with large rents payable for the space of even a kiosk in Westfield however I have no problem paying high prices but not for microwaved food.

I've been here a couple of times because I love Carribean food and wanted to have a change from the usual food court McDonalds/KFC experience. The food is unfortunately very bad. I really wanted to enjoy it especially because I love Carribean food and anything would be a nice alternative to McDs/KFC....or so I thought.I've had the rice and curries/stews and patties. The patties were ok, mainly because they were 50p microwave patties that cost £3 for some reason. On both occasions the rice tasted like it had been left out all night and made me feel ill. The curry sauces were flavourless and watery, the chicken was ok but again, flavourless and way too much bone. A much better flavoured version with boneless chunks or thighs would be far better. The staff were ok, relatively friendly. The prices are a bit steep even for food court food, I would be happy to pay for more adequate and substantial food but next time I'll stick to McDonalds.

I have been to CSQ several times as being from the Caribbean I like to stick to traditional food and I must admit that the service I received prior to my visit on the 2nd of January 2014 was not spectacular. I must mention, however, that a new Manager was introduced on my latest visit. She has Caribbean affiliations and seems to have lifted the morale of the staff and the whole customer experience. I will admit I did throw a few questions her way and her product knowledge was bang on :) we had a good laugh and it was refreshing to have that kind of service to start the new year. Yes the meal was costly but I realise that the material and preparation that goes into creating this tasty end product are also quite expensive and time consuming. Will continue to visit and grab my quick hot meal. Thanks CSQ for a pleasant experience.

Went here with a quite large group of business partners and came out shocked. Some of the participants left before the food arrived, because of dirty tables and smelly interior. When the food finally arrived, we all regretted that we still were there. We were served fast food that was slightly warmed in the microwave. The wine was supposed to be an Italian (?) Shiraz wine, which was ice cold and veryacid, almost sour. The strange thing was that the Cabernet and the Merlot (same producer)tasted exactly the same as the Shiraz.Main courses were served on tin plates (chicken, goat and meat stew) covered withan unsconspicious sauce and barely warm. The goat meat was mostly bones witha little bit of rubbery meat on.This was at prepaid, set course dinner, so unfortunately we had to stay through deserts and coffee, too. This was an utterly terrible experience !

A touch of the Caribbean in Westfield. A wide choice of Jamaican food from ackee and saltfish and johnny cakes for breakfast to rice and peas and chicken for dinner. For a snack there is the one and only Jamaican patty. Even this is presented with choice from the original beef, to lamb, lobster, saltfish and vegetables. To wash it down carrot juice like mama makes....

Caribbean Scene "Quick"? The name fits! Simply because they charge the earth, £1.99 for the very same Patties that you can buy in Tesco for 85p (Port Royal), just heat and go! For £1.99 I expected home-made traditional Patties, which generally does cost this when (Home-made) at a tradition West Indian restaurant!! I emailed my concerns to the "Scene" a few days ago and STILL NO REPLY!! Shabby service!!

This was a very dissapointing trip, I have eaten at the Caribbean Scence family restaurant before, but this time it was closed due to a water leak and so found this was specifially because the food had been so good at the restaurant hoping it would be the same. I made the effort to go into the shopping centre just to eat here, however the food was very poor and expensive. The food was not very warm, the plantain was not ready to be cooked, it wasn't freshly cooked, it wasn't warm enough and most importantly it wasn't traditionally cooked, not cooked by Jamaicans!! Just people who are trying to copy the Jamaican way of cooking but don't know how to cook it the authentic way. Very expenisve for a takeaway over 20 pound for two of us, we could have gone to a restaurnat for that. Very dissapointed and most definately won't be going back.

Another disappointing meal at the e20 lounge at The Stratford hotel. I had the lobster and crayfish roll which was really a poor quality meal. The roll tasted cheap, I was expecting a nice slathering of the tarragon mayonnaise but it hardly had any mayonnaise. The roll was charred rather than toasted and the smell of burnt bread overwhelmed the whole thing. It cost £19 which was exorbitant and I could have had something similar and far better and a third of the price at the local Pret. On the upside I went to the oyster happy hour last Wednesday and it was good and today my fellow diner enjoyed his club sandwich. So the lounge e20 is still very hit and miss unfortunately.
