Visited for my daughters 17th , and it was a very nice evening. Situated in middle of Newcastle high street , we were told no need to order unless groups of 6+ , they were busy but got a table straight away . Really nice place inside , light shades everywhere , dim lights , music , chatter and a really relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of food and drink , I had the 3 for £12 tapas which was delicious. Highly recommended, dogs a welcome aswell

Excellent lunch - the server/kitchen staff got our tapas order wrong but rectified it and offered us a free round of drinks and free desserts to compensate for the longer wait. The steak in our main course was succulent!We will definitely be returning.

Modern vibrant bar/diner - the negative is £5.95 for a pint of Bixton IPA - Nevertheless, I'll call again and will try the food.

My daughter and I visited on a whim because I had the fancies for something we didn't have at home. It's the first time I've been able to taste something for a few weeks now and I wasn't let down - the chicken, bacon and avocado salad was lovely. When we visited it was quite quiet, so there was no waiting on food or service (which is ideal when you have a hankering for just...food, but don't know what 😅).

Nice place to eat. Cosy with nice lighting and lots of things to look at on the walls. My friends go here a lot who are vegetarian so there are lots of options on the menu. I wouldn’t recommend the chicken flatbread as it was so swamped in a salsa sauce sauce I couldn’t eat it. I would go again to try something else as everyone else’s food looked great! I did tell the server so hopefully they listen to the feedback but I wasn’t offered anything else. I think I was just unfortunate in my choice of meal this time and fingers crossed I can change my review next time I visit. You do have to order at the bar, no table service.

Came here with a group of 6 friends. First visit for all of us. Reserved a table in advance in case it was busy. Staff were very attentive and took our order at the table, bringing our drinks over. I ordered the Bombay Fried Chicken Burger - Buttermilk fried chicken with mature cheddar, mango chutney, curry mayo, crispy onions, tomato and lettuce. Delicious with a bit of a kick. Then for dessert I had White Chocolate & Vanilla Cheesecake with berry compote and maple mascarpone. What looked a small portion was just right, and not overly sweet. Liked that we could all pay separately at the till when we had finished our meal. Wasn't overly busy for a Thursday evening, but nice we could all chat without having to shout over loud music.

Quite a wide choice of dishes , well.presented from what I saw . Went for the avocado / chicken / bacon burger . £12.50 which is very decent . Good burger and chips . No complaint. Service was fairly quick and attentive, despite the place being.quite full . We did no all have our food served at the same time (table of 10 ) but that was not too much of a issue as we were also having drinks as well. Would recommend the place .

Have visited a number of times and almost always a brilliant visit. Menu is varied, plenty of non alcoholic options with homemade sodas etc, food always arrives quickly and piping hot. Lovely staff members make you feel welcome. it’s one of few places in the town to get a meal in the evenings that isn’t a pub like Yates or Wetherspoons which is why the place is often full I think.

Good food, waiting staff were very good too. A little dark, making it difficult to read the paper menu - just makes you wonder if their cleaning isn't top notch and they keep it dark to hide something 🤷‍♂️

Excellent service and first time visiting thought it was very reasonable on price fo the quality of food and staff.

Awful food will never go again expected meat to be hot on bread was cold😡 wine ver over priced.

My partner wanted to go here to try the tapas. The lounge is very quirky and of a casual setting. We both had flat breads with herby chicken and red pepper sauce. Unfortunately, the red pepper sauce was just so strong it overpowered any other taste and I ended up leaving half of mine. We had patatas bravas which tasted like passata had just been dumped on top. I ended up leaving some of that too. My partner didn't mind the meal, although he said there was hardly any chicken on the flatbread, which I agree with. Maybe it's just not the place for me and others may like it.

Served beef to a lifelong vegetarian, no apology, refund promised but not received. Absolute disgrace

Had a lovely evening. Got a seat no problem and the food arrived quickly. I had buttermilk chicken with fries and coleslaw which was tasty and churros for dessert. They do a really good vegan menu too which my friend tried and said was excellent. The only downside was my friend's dessert glass had a giant crack in it which meant it had to be replaced and my friend's vegan dessert never arrived.

Really nice and quirky place, however, personally I do think it's a bit expensive for what you get.

It is one of our favourite places to go for breakfast, brunch and pre cinema food. A fabulous interesting, extensive menu with something for everyone. In our experience, always perfectly cooked, served promptly and with a smile. It can be very busy at times, but we have always found the staff to be friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

This is our go to place for breakfast on a weekend. The place looks great, the staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing seems too much for them. On the Gluten Free side, they have the biggest selection in the entire Stoke area. We never had problems eating there.

Portions on the small side, but given the reasonable price and quality I can accept that especially these days where everything is going up. Busy place with a good atmosphere would go again.

Probably one of the best places in Newcastle for food and drink. Staff are great, the menu is excellent and the food is really good. Have a wide range of drinks too.

A really mixed selection of food, all tasted authentic and presented well. Service was quick and on point, and it was really handy that you were able to order via your phone.

Absolutely love this place! I have been here so many times and it never disappoints. I would recommend the beef brisket chilli with jalapeños and chorizo (main) as well as the honey whipped feta (tapas). There is no parking next to the restaurant so you would need to park on the multi storey by Vue and walk across.

Fantastic place to visit for brunch/dinner. Great selection of brunch food and small plates/ tapas. Easy to order via the QR code with food and drink served quickly after the order. Nice servers and good atmosphere.

First time I’ve eaten in the Capello lounge and I must say I would return again. Food is excellent and well presented. Service was superb and Martin (the waiter) was exceptional, knew the menu inside out, get manner about her and he never stopped, serving, cleaning and keeping busy.. Great to see and great place to visit.. Defo recommend going if you haven’t

Lovely food, nice service, amazing atmosphere. They're dog friendly which is refreshing. I ended up having a chat with a someone near the bar who had a dog and it made my afternoon. I had a tapas board which was amazing. There was a water station which was helpful. Food was a tad expensive but it was delicious and they had a wide range for people with dietary restrictions too.

Upon arriving : there's a sign that says " wait here to be seated " we waited for about 5 mins before getting a seat, there were seats available. Drinks : we had biscoff milkshake and coke, the milkshake was lovely, good portion, came with whipped cream. The coke was normal coke. Food: lamb curry was nice, good portion. Buttermilk chicken was lovely. Side of onion rights well we paid £3 and only got given 3 onion rings, weren't the best and certainly expensive for what you get.

First visit with friends, I loved the food and the service was excellent. Except one small point the music was deafning. Yet, I will definitely visit again!!!

Been here several times over the last few years. Unwavering quality of food. Always had useful staff that have been helpful. Had a few experiences of excessively long wait times, but that was mainly due to the staff shortages, and they were incredibly apologetic. One of the nicer places in Newcastle Under Lyme

Really nice place, ate here as a family meal following my sisters graduation, the staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring the food for the child we had with us came out as soon as possible as he was hungry, the meals were reasonably priced and good quality. We are not local so likely won't go back, but it was a nice restaurant, and would recommend to others

Been here like 4 times and service is hit and miss same with a food probably can’t keep the staff in .Would recommend to look into standards more about service and the menu needs changing now the same menu for many years ,inside is not very clean and dark room .

Had Philly Steak, which arrived cold. Taken away and allegedly reheated, but hardly warm. Too busy so doubted kitchen could cope. Would not go again.

First time there but would definitely go back. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The best part was the customer service. One of the main meals came out maybe 5 mins after the others, due to a mix up in the kitchen. They were honest about their error an immediately offered us free desserts. Fantastic place and already planning our next visit

Firstly they were very accommodating to fit an electric wheelchair in. Secondly, the poached eggs, with Hollandaise sauce on a bun was one of the best I have eaten. (And I have eaten quite a few somewhere not too far away)

A interesting place, kinda quirky. However, I got the Avacado Smash (£8.95), and it was just one cibatta slice with some salsa and Avacado, deffo NOT worth that amount!!!! So, I'd say it was on the pricey side for brunch.

Food was great, service was excellent. Staff had the balance right. Its nicely situated in the town centre making it very accessible. Drinks are a bit above pub prices, but not outrageous. The decor is shabby chic which looked more shabby than chic. With bit of a face-lift this,place would look amazing.

We had a lovely meal here. The food is delicious, our table had the shakshuka, big lounge breakfast, eggs with spinach and mushrooms and a kids breakfast. The drinks were good too, and we loved how much effort they put into the presentation for the kids meal/dessert and drink. Service was quick, we ordered on the app from the table and didn’t have to wait too long for food or drinks. Staff were lovely too. The menu is really good for vegetarians, which isn’t always the case when places serve breakfast. Would love to return for the tapas one time.

Always seems to be busy but still has a Chilled atmosphere, the l"lounge eggs" with smoked salmon was very nice and latte was served extra hot .

The biggest issues we have at Cappello is the inconsistency of the food, mainly how it is presented and the food temperature. Last week we went for breakfast the lounge breakfast was good so were the pancake🥞. Yesterday NOT SO GOOD breakfast was cold, also staff eating Infront of customers VERY unprofessional

Service seems to have improved, it used to be terrible. Acoustics not good for the hard of hearing and the little speakers everywhere don’t bode well when the music is turned up early evening. Food average, you’re probably better sticking to something basic. Don’t order the Mac and cheese as it’s expensive for just a small bowl with no accompaniments unless you pay extra.

Food very good , service was ok , had to go to the bar to order , but food came quickly , not much atmosphere , but it's not the place you want to go where there is music blasting out
