Este es uno de mis restaurantes favoritos en Norbury. Soy de Canadá, pero cuando estoy en Londres (3 - 4 veces al año), siempre como aquí al menos una vez. The Mixed Grill es increíble y una gran porción. El hummus es el mejor que he probado. ¡Acili Ezme y la cacerola también deliciosos! Pero. . . hoy pedí el entrante de langostinos tigre para 7. 95 y consiguió 2 langostinos! Una decepción segura en comparación con los estándares habituales. No voy a ordenar ese plato otra vez.

La comida llegó con hummus sustituida por calamares. Estaba en el menú que aparentemente no lo hacen. ¿Por qué tenerlo en el menú? El pan estaba seco y duro. La parrilla mixta estaba seca y olía como si estuviera apagada. ¡Probé la carne, los 6 cubos y fue horrible! No era fresco . .

Booked the restaurant for three people for new years eve, At the time of the booking was not advised to inform them if there was a change in numbers. My friend was sick and could not come. At arrival to restaurant advised waitress that we were now two people. Placed on a table for four and then moved to table for three and then moved to table for two. Waiter advised me that i would have to pay for the person that was missing. When i tried to speak to the manager, he was rude shouted at me and delivered the worst customer service I have ever experienced. i will never return back when to such an awful place,

Cosy atmosphere with friendly, welcoming staff. 3 of us went and we ain't the easiest customers (a vegan and a couple pescetarians) - but they had a plenty of choice for us. The drinks menu was on point - polished off a bottle of Turkish red wine that made me do a double take after the first sip. If you're from the area (or surrounding) and are struggling to make a decision on where to go then Cappadocia is a guaranteed good evening out. Great setting, genuinely homely staff and delicious food (been before as a meat eater and also left more than content). Been with friends, been with family and been on dates - I've had a rememberable time always - this is the first review I've ever bothered to write as I feel like I owe them one!

Is not easy to find Turkish restaurants with proper Turkish flavours just as you will find it in Turkey. Menu is excellent, just missing some grill fish in the options. Teşekkür ederim

The food was great and the service was impeccable. The waiter was so lovely and when he informed us that it was a family business we were even more impressed because everyone was just so nice and friendly. Def a recommendation.

First time at this restaurant as we have recently moved to the area, and we will certainly be coming back. Service was great from start to finish, and food was delicious. The complimentary bread, olives, and salad to start are such a lovely touch... even if they did fill us up a bit! Would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

I've been wanting to write a review of this restaurant for ages! Just because I LOVE IT! I think I have taken all my friends and family to this restaurant for all sorts of occasions, it's just that kind of restaurant where you can have a low key, chilled, planned or spontaneous evening out! It's based on London Road (as you drive from Norbury towards west croydon), about 5 minute bus ride from Norbury train station. I normally walk it, especially on the way home to digest all the lovely food! I have not tried all the delicacies on the menu so I can't comment on those, however I normally get the shared platters I.e. hot or cold mezzas, mixed grills. The plates are more than enough for 3-4 hungry people as the portions are not stingy. The food is presented rustically and appetizing manner. You get a really nice complimentary flat bread and salad while you wait which kinda gears you up for all the food to come. Pros: Food - cooked perfectly, meat is always tender and the chicken never dry. The seasoning is well done too with moving being overly sweet, salty or spicy! Portions are generous and you're very likely to leave feeling very satisfied! Service - pretty good. Although on busy nights it can take a few minutes before the food arrives, worth waiting for though. Cons: Not many really. If I'm being picky then it would be the decor.......they recently revamped the place but I preferred the old rustic layout rather than the modern blue lit version.

Incredibly unprofessional!!! This restaurant sent me the completely wrong order with missing items and proceeded to hang up on me when I called them to try and resolve the issue. They obnoxiously told me just to call uber again - which would cost me yet another delivery fee to resolve what was the restaurant’s fault. To add insult to injury - it was Mother’s Day and for the meal but spoke to me with such disrespect and hung up on me. Do not give a company like your money, it only encourages their disgusting behaviour.

I’ve eaten in this local restaurant three times with my family. The first time the food was decent but service was bad and the food isn’t cheap. The second time, the food was awful and again, service was bad. The staff are so rude it’s like they don’t want you there and the manager is even worse! The third time was just as awful. We vowed not to eat there again because the service is terrible and the food is overpriced considering it’s so average. Tonight, via Uber Eats I ordered the chicken shish meal, instead I received lamb covered in sauce and cheese and I don’t eat red meat. My salad was covered in an oily spice mixture, it was gross. Called the restaurant and got no apology. They said there was a mixup and I can come and pick up my food or the manager will call back in an hour! Absolutely disgusting service. I will never eat here again. Don’t know how this place is still open.

Saturday lunchtime after Christmas, cold outside lovely and warm inside. Made to feel very welcome. Three of us dined, starters were superb freshly cooked and hot, included olives garlic butter big bowl salad ( lovely dressing) and huge pitta bread. Main meals were lovely and very large portions, only one of us managed a desert Baklava, generous portion again. Staff very attentive, polite and friendly. You can't go wrong if you want a good authentic Turkish meal and restaurant.

My friend booked a 10 people table for his birthday, we all arrived there and THERE WAS NO BOOKING!! He went in person to book it!! And this happened with 3 separate occasions! The staff there was incredibly rude! They did not apologised, they just ushered us out. Such a pitty as I heard food is good... but what use if they are understaffed and not able to record a reservation in their book! They ruined someone’s birthday!

Fuimos aquí anoche. La comida era buena, bien presentado y sabroso. El servicio me pareció un poco escaso y un camarero particular rozando la mala educación y parecía un poco enfadado, pero eso fue quizás su actitud.

Este restaurante han sido muchas veces en el pasado, pero no recientemente. Esta fue la primera visita después de la nueva propiedad y decorar.

Have been coming here for several years now and since Cappadocia has changed hands a year ago the restaurant has been consistently very high in standards, both take away and dining in. The food is brilliant! You don't need to order too much as the servings are huge and there's plenty of bread and salads given with the meal which is great.Look forward to going again.

Good variety of food and drink. Good mixture of charcoal cooked kebabs and other traditional meals. Complimentary bread and salad are not only tasty but filling which makes the meal good value for money. We were there in a large group and were well looked after.

New management again it seems. The food is still brilliant and tastes authentic with succulent meat and dips, as well as attentive service. But I don't know who had the bright idea of having blank white walls and blue lighting. Aside from the fact those are Greek colours and not Turkish, it makes the whole place look like a 5-star hotel's spa.

Service amazing. Food incredible. Small and intimate. Can get a bit loud and attracts that kind of local crowd not big on consideration for other diners unfortunately but apart that really nice. I recently visited with two friends, I have previously eaten in this establishment before and the food has been very good. However on this occasion the service was poor. We wanted to order some red wine and asked whether the bottle was opened that day or the previous day. To which we were informed in a very patronising manner, that 'Red wine does not go off, so it is irrelevant as to when it was opened'. The wine would have cost in the region of £6.50per glass and therefore l feel it was not unreasonable to ask for a new bottle to opened. This was not offered, therefore we asked for tap water with ice and a slice of lemon, to which we were told it would cost £1.00 per person!! We asked if he was the manager and was informed that he was the owner.It is very unfortunate that the new owners are unable to continue the high standard of service previously prvoided.

This restaurant were very accommodating when our party almost doubled a few hours before our booking!The food was exceptional, as good as anywhere in London, with perfectly cooked meat and wonderful flavours.The complimentary bread and salad to start was delicious as well as what was on the menu.The service managed to be both relaxed and attentive.

We went there to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. I don't know what the food is like because we didn't get to eat. We booked a table for 12 people but unfortunately due to an accident 1 person couldn't come. My son and grandson couldn't even get in the restaurant because it was so cramped even though we told the management we had a baby on booking. So they wanted to cram 8 of us onto a table for 6 while trying to accommodate a further party of 6 people (who didn't book) in the remaining 4 places. The waiters started arguing with us in front of the other guests insisting that we have to pay for 12 people. We ended up walking out and telling them to stick their dinner. They were rude and argumentative the whole time, all they are interested in is to cram as many people in as possible so the restaurant was far too crowded, hot and noisy with nowhere to put your coat. Don't go there unless you like shouting over loud music, tight spaces and rude staff.

This is a very nice Turkish restaurant, the food is delicious and the owners are attentive and nice. Their home made bread is fantastic and their hot meals are perfect for cold days.

Took my Daughter to lunch today to celebrate the start of her Maternity leave. The food and service were excellent. The last time we'd been was several years ago. The lunch menu was very good value; £7 for 2 courses or £9 for 3. The dessert however was only baklava so we ordered from the menu. The Turkish tea was delicious and free. We had humus and Kisir for starter, Izgara Kofte and chicken Shish kebab for our main course with chips, though I could have had pillau rice. The flat bread and salad were good portions as well as the main courses. Our Female Server was very attentive and even gave my Daughter 2 of the glass dessert dishes to take home which was very generous. Will definitely go back again.

My husband & I visited this restaurant last night and thoroughly enjoyed the mixed grill. The service was warm & friendly and I would consider it a hot spot in Norbury.

We were looking for a Mediterranean dinner and tripadvsor suggested among many this Turkish restaurant. Firstly, we were nicely welcomed by the team and secondly the food was really fresh and good. Lovely fresh baked bread and the mix kebab with different kind of meats was properly grilled and delicious. Also huge portions and affordable prices.Will definitely go back.Thank you.

This is a superb Turkish restaurant where you can see your food being cooked on the barbecue pit. Extremely friendly staff and atmosphere. Food was superb too. Lots of it as well.

New makeover a bit stark, food still good but the service is awful. First time we came back we waited ages for food and although we had asked for tap water found we had been charged £4 for bottled. Second and last time we shall go we asked again for tap water to be told they don't serve it. We informed them they were obliged to as they sell alcohol. With bad grace agreed to give us bottled water free. When we asked for more tap water we were rudely told they don't serve tap water and this was the last complimentary water we were getting. Again service was incredibly slow, bill came and then after we'd paid the waiter said he'd got it wrong, brought his calculator to the table to recalculate the bill. Tried to charge £35 for starters which should have been £28, found a few items he'd wrongly charged so in effect we just told him to take his tip as the difference. Such a shame that a once welcoming local restaurant has left such a sour taste. For the sake of providing tap water and an extra waitress I feel that this business is not going to succeed. Why provide free olives when you don't provide tap water? Doesn't make sense.

Booked table for 10 people, arrived on time to find they had just let anyone who turned up take a table and there was only a table for six left! Male manager very rude told us to stop making a fuss! We left and went to another local restaurant Karachi Cuisine who couldn't have been more attentive and the food was great

Under new management for the third time but not only has this place been modernised, looking clean and crisp, it has also got a fantastic new menu. All kebabs cooked freshly served with choice of chips or bulgur wheat and salad. Free starters included a home made flat bread served with garlic butter, olive oil/balsamic vinegar and mixed olives. Tastiest kebabs ive eaten in a long while - definately going back!

We booked a table at this restaurant on Father's Day for 10 people (8 adults and 2 babies).Having been refurbished recently we were expecting great things as some of the group had been before and the food was good.I arrived first with my girlfriend to a packed restaurant. We were about 25 minutes early and there was only a table for 6 unoccupied. I went inside and was greeted (that's probably exaggerating it, he looked at me as he walked from a table) by a male who was working front of house. I told him we had a table for 10 booked for 7:30pm. He asked me again if I'd booked then ushered us to the table for 6 and said to sit down, which we did. This table was directly in front of the serving area for the bar and next to the main walkway to the kitchen/bar for staff. After looking at all the other tables they were clearly going to be occupied for quite some time and I started to wonder how they were going to fit us all in.Whilst I was sat at the table I saw the female waitress by the bar. She had a bottle of beer on a tray with an empty glass. As she moved the tray the bottle knocked over spilling some of the beer on her shirt. She stood the bottle up and proceeded to take it to a table and give it to a customer.About 7:20pm a group of four people came into the restaurant, one seeming to know the member of staff working in the bar area. They had booked a table for 5 for 7pm. They had called up to say that they would be there at 7:30 and it was agreed that this was okay. They were asked to wait outside. It was a wet miserable day. They sat outside under the canapé in the seating area.The male we first spoke to and the female were rushing around not appearing to know what to do and clearly in need of more assistance. A female customer had to approach the female staff member and although I didn't hear what she was waiting for she said she had asked ages ago. A drink was soon taken to the table.So 7:25pm arrived and as did the rest of our party. No other tables were available and we asked what was happening. We were ignored and were left standing around. When we eventually got the male working the front of the house's attention (he appeared to be in charge) he said he would sort it out and told us to just sit down. When we pointed out that there wasn't enough seats to sit down he told us to just sit down and stop making a fuss. He then walked away leaving us again. When he came back he was very abrupt and said he'd get a table in from outside. Again this would not have helped us as it would've blocked the walk way and would've only still given seats for the 8 adults. As he grabbed the female staff member and stormed outside the male behind the bar admitted that they took people in who hadn't booked to fill seats.We were incredibly annoyed at the attitude or the staff, the way we were accommodated and the way we were dealt with so decided to leave. Even as we were leaving several other customers were still going through the door, one can only expect to be disappointed as well.Would I go again - No.Would I recommend going - NoWe ended up going to an Indian restaurant not far away called Karachi Cuisine, London Road SW16. The contrast was incredible.

Finally!!! Back to what it does best! Lavvas bread, nice food, good portions. Just one thing, please fix the toilet!!! It has been years, smells damp, wall crumbling where it's damp, and please stop using towels, it's so unhygienic, paper towels or dryer please!!!

I've been coming back to this place quite regularly over the past 5-6 years and never been disappointed. It was good under the previous management and quality didn't drop a bit under the new one. Actually, the menu got broader (the starters are pretty good, and so is the mixed kebab). In summary: very good food, nice atmosphere, excellent value for money.

Was pleasantly surprised when tried this place again last week, as we had said we wouldn't return after food quality had slipped, so glad we tried it again, as improvements had been made, and all was of good quality, nice to see the lavas bread back on the menu, and portion sizes back to their normal. Would definitely return, Staff are always pleasant, tho always different! Service good as always.

We have been coming here for years, the food has improved and then complimentary bread is delicious. I cannot understand the reviewer who was there on Valentine's Day as we were there too and the food and service were faultless. A little bit of Turkey on our doorstep. If you're thinking about visiting then give it a go - you won't be disappointed.

This has long been a favourite place of mine, but this visit was a joke.There was only 2 waitresses on for a fully booked restaurant! This guy sat on his backside shouting orders at the girls, when he could of actually helped clear tables. We sat with dirty starter plates in front of for ages before they got taken away. We waited nearly an hour for the main course to get to the table then once again we sat 20 minutes with dirty plates in front of us. Only when I started to gather up the dirty plates did they bother to clear the table. We asked for the dessert menu and was ignored for a further 10 minutes, to which by then I'd had enough of waiting and asked for the bill. We left and came home for ice cream and coffee! I will not be going back ever again service has gone from great to crap. Sad really as its a lovely restaurant.

Very bad food. Not a turkish resturant. They tried to cheat us with the bill. Two days after I still have a problem with my stomach. Very bad Service. food higiene is at very low level. Very disapointed. I was there with my girlfrend on St. Valentines and we both was very very disapointed from this "resturant". We are two very disapointed customers.

Have been to this restaurant many times over the past 18mths and have had fantastic food each and every time. Cappadocia is somewhere we have chosen to have a quiet meal for two, meals with family as well as groups of friends. The food is excellent and the staff both friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a good meal no matter what the occasion.

We visited the restaurant tonight and as usual had an amazing meal. I think there has been a significant improvement in this place since the new owners took over and other friends of mine that have visited since agree with me. The staff are excellent and always very attentive. We had our two young sons with us tonight and despite our demands to accommodate them they were smiley and provided us with plastic cups for them. Excellent service overall. The food is just delicious and always very fresh. The chef is very personable and interacted with us on a couple of occasions which I thought was a really special touch. As usual one of the owners made an appearance and was chatty and really hospital giving my kids lollies. On other occasions we have often been given a dessert on the house. They really go the extra mile here. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. I don't usually like chick but their is excellent. We usually have a mixed grill for variety. Tonight we had the warm aubergine starter which is absolutely delicious. The houmous is always lovely and garlicky. This restaurant is a true gem in a neck of the woods thag really needs more establishments like this one.

It seems that the place has new owners, who are not from anywhere near Turkey but have tried to keep the same menu. The food is still nice, though I though the tarama didn't really taste of tarama - I was expecting a smoother texture as opposed to a grainy texture and a slightly more fishy taste. Still it was still nice but not quite as expected. Mains were nice. Salad non descript.

Although if visiting for the first time, you would still find very good standards of food, it is nowhere near as good as it used to be, the humus isn't consistently good, now feels like cheap pitta bread used and charge of £1.50 for a further pitta, the bread that used to be under the mains, is now a thin tortilla type bread, and really would be better not being there, we used to rave about the salad, but now it tastes of nothing. I have to say the meat is cooked very well always, and staff are attentive, and service good, prices good too. If we hadn't known how it used to be, we would love going, it's just slightly disappointing, as it feels some changes have been made for cost, even portions are slightly less of starters and mains. Overall great value still.

I went there with a Groupon voucher with a few people. Took about 3 hours to get there so I was not in the best of moods.. The restaurant itself looks really nice and is really clean. The waiters were lovely and explained everything we were entitled to. They even recommended a few dishes based on our preference.. The food was truly amazing. The quality of the meat was superb, and was cooked to perfection!! It was Also very well presented.. also incredibly cheap considering... Best bargain and food I've had in a while.. Will definitely be going back!

Great turkish food and best kebabs ever had in UK. One starter and one main dish might be enough for two!

We went on one if the busiest day of the year Valentines day, and I couldn't fault one thing. Food was really fresh tasty and delicious, I had the mixed grill for main and meze which was all very delicious. Service and atmosphere was perfect.

We used to go to Cappadocia very regularly but then for various reasons ( nothing to do with the restaurant) had not been for a long time. When we returned on Saturday evening we discovered there are now new owners. They were very friendly and welcoming and both came to our table at least once during the evening to introduce themselves and to check we were happy with our meal. The food was delicious, as always, although we did miss the bread that was served at the beginning of the meal. We were told they could not make it because the special oven no longer works.The Turkish chef remains. I had saksuka, a very tasty vegetarian starter and my husband had the liver which he thought very good. I can recommend the special chicken kebab and my husband was very pleased with his lamb chops. The main course is served with salad and rice or chips. We did not try the desserts. The wine is reasonably priced and a little plate of Turkish delight is served with the coffee. Service was efficient and very friendly. I do wish the television on the wall was not on ! I would recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food, the welcoming staff and the overall atmosphere. We will definitely return. However, It has somehow lost the Turkish "feel". It's a restaurant well worth a visit but we thought it did not feel like a Turkish restaurant anymore.

I used to go here years ago and was immediately taken by the quality and serving of food, in particular the mix grill. I went for the first time in over a year and noticed a refurb but with Indian owners! I love cultured food and there was something special in the way the food was cooked and tasted when the Turkish people owned it but that 'something' has now gone. We even asked for their trademark hot bread they used to serve and the waitress didn't really have an answer but served thin slices of roti instead.Overall disappointed and won't be recommending anymore...I highly advise to make the trip to Haringey instead and go to Gokyuzu.

This is mine and my wife's favourite restaurant in south London, and we've been dining here for years despite living approximately 5 miles away.The service is always warm and friendly and the ambience just 'par excellence'. The grilled barbecued meat is always succulent, tender and marinated to perfection with all the action taking place in the kitchen visible from the dining tables, and the way the dishes come complete with main, rice and salad means that side orders are also often superflous. This presents very good overall dining value.In addition the freshly baked complimentary bread is always a welcome part of the Cappadocia experience which often means that a separate starter is often unnecessary - and the tasty Turkish delight pieces that come at the end with the bill are equally something that in time we've come to take for granted.With only limited reviews so far on Tripadvisor, is Cappadocia south London's best kept secret??

I love this restaurant. We had been there on previous occasions and decided to go back last night after a hard day's work. Last night was a very quiet night so service was inevitably excellent but even at busy periods they cope wonderfully well.The food is all cooked from fresh and excellent. Meats are tender and the dips are light.

We have been going here for years. The food is always very good, love the huge blow up pitta bread they always give you on the house. The staff are lovely and helpful and it's probably the best thing about living in Norbury!
