Tremendous wee skinny canalside bar.

Amazing place, come here every time I’m in Birmingham, amazing drinks & atmosphere, had hot cider on a cold -8 night !

When 13 of us turned up at this lovely venue unannounced and thirsty and hungry on Sunday just gone, you’re not sure what to expect ! The weather was so cold but they fitted us into their snug and the drinks array was brilliant from mulled wine to real ales and then we ordered lovely pizzas all round ! brilliant 2 hours of our lives ! the owners were so friendly and welcoming too

What a cute little pub! The cosiest spot in the winter time with only a few tables so it really feels like you’re in your own living room. Decent service. Limited choice for NA options though. ! Phone number doesn’t work (had lost some items there and tried ringing nonstop but they don’t use their phone)

Visitamos el pub durante una excursión de un día a Birmingham, ubicación encantadora, ambiente encantador. Fue un día muy frío y luminoso, pero tuvimos una cálida bienvenida. Le preguntamos si podíamos tomar algunas fotos, que fue recibido con "por supuesto". Nos sentamos junto a la ventana bajo un calentador y disfrutamos de nuestras bebidas. Las encantadoras instalaciones de aseo limpio también, muestra cuánto orgullo se sienten en su pub. Sin duda volveríamos si estuviéramos en la zona de nuevo.

Muy acogedor antídoto para las barras de cadena en la zona. Muy pequeño, así que afortunado de conseguir un lugar. Buen servicio. No vayas con grupos grandes. Tomamos cervezas y vin chaud

Love the ambience and service quality is excellent, Tanmay who were at that day at bar provided excellent options for drinks and cocktail.

Very nice old hub with a range of craft beers right by the water, it is very snug

Only had drinks but pizza's looked very nice. Quite small inside which adds to the atmosphere, there is outside seating which in summer would be superb.

querky type pf pub, very small and compact but right alongside the canal so worth trying out. Toilets were a bit dodgy (needed a good clean) but the beer was okay!

Absolute gem of a place. I had kind of been here before on a Friday night, but because it's so small, I stood outside that time and had my beer handed to me out there. This time, on a quiet Sunday afternoon, I got to go in and experience the lovely, cosy interior. Service was superb. My wife had a Cappuccino, I had a beer, we chilled out on armchairs by the fire. It's a shame we only stayed for one drink, I could've easily spent the entire afternoon in here if it wasn't for other plans.

A very small but adorable little bar. We didn't eat anything but the drinks were reasonably priced and the atmosphere is amazing 😍

Googleó bares cerca de Utilita Arena después de nuestra visita para el concierto de Janet Jackson. Positivos: El bar real es absolutamente impresionante. Hermosamente diseñado inc un cómodo con fuego y asientos al aire libre también. Entras y de repente adoras el lugar. Negativos: Demasiado caro teniendo en cuenta que dado un vino de medidas más pequeñas. Y optaron por cerrar a las 11 de la noche un viernes a pesar de un bar muy concurrido. Mostrando cero flexibilidad. Empujones en todo el mundo para beber y estar en su camino. Tan corto de miras para un bar que podría prosperar en una gran parte de la ciudad. ¿Volveríamos? -Sí. Pero tendrá que asegurarse de que es durante el día!

This is a cute spot in Birmingham! It’s amazing to sit outside during summer and inside during winter because of its cosy atmosphere. The service is good and their mulled wine it’s tasty 🍷

Would have loved to have some dinner but the kitchen closed before 9pm good pint though however close to London prices compared to other pubs in the area.

My go to bar when in Brindley place. It has a lovely quiet atmosphere. Perfect for a relaxing pint by the canalside.

I’m a regular visitor to Canalside bar & it’s always a great place to visit, a large selection of drinks and good bar food. Plenty of seating inside and out and a lovely to watch the canal boats go about their day.m in the nicer weather.

Great tranquil escape from the madness of Broad Street and Brindley Place.

It was a wet evening, but we still managed to sit by the water for a while. The cute little tables outside make it feel really quaint. Once the heavens opened, we headed inside to sit in a cosy little snug. The drinks were good, the owner was friendly and even the rain didn't dampen our visit. We will be back soon and fingers crossed the sun is out

Very atmospheric pub, great location, friendly staff. My toasted sandwich kind of sucked though and took a weirdly long time to arrive.

Just been here before the Foo Fighter gig and was actually served oven chips and a Chicago Town pizza, talk about riding on the back of old reviews! Avoid!!

Great setting on the canal and cosy. Drinks are little pricey but I think that's more to do with setting.

It is a cozy bar. Inside it is super cozy and nicely decorated. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures, but we did take our snacks. Fries and garlic bread. Not too expensive. Highly recommended

Go there if you are in the area between the mailbox and Brindley place Full of atmosphere . Great food , they even have guinness zero. On a sunny day grab a table outside and watch the people go by and soak the atmosphere of old Brum.

This is a nice bar. I went here while visiting Birmingham and was satisfied with my experience. This bar has a large main room and a smaller room with two tables, and two chairs by a fireplace. I went into the smaller room, where I ordered a raspberry juice drink, which tasted quite good. I gave this bar five stars because it’s a nice small place with good vibes and a good view of the nearby canal.

Great little pub right on the towpath. Apart from the tall buildings out of the window, you'd never know that you're in the middle of the second biggest city in the UK. Nice pint too.

Great all-year-round bar. Nice indoor setting but the outdoor area on a sunny day is hard to beat. Shout out to the honest staff who found my lost bag and kept it for 3 hours until I realised. Could have ruined my birthday but saved it! Thank you!

Good pub on canal side with large selection of beers

Great pub with a great atmosphere and vibe - definitely worth going to. A lot of pubs nowadays are very chain like and all seem the same - so if you want a pub with a unique vibe you definitely should check this one out!

Great Atmosphere in this lovely Canal side Pub.

Very small, traditional and cosy pub with lots of nooks with armchairs and fireplaces. But if you're looking for somewhere for a group social, this is not it, it's much better for catch up drinks with a friend. Lovely place to sit outside in the summer if you can get a table!

Well to be very honest, there is nothing here. You will only see a canal which it said longer than Venice. But somehow I like the vibes and atmosphere. Bring your snack or breakfast here, sit on a bench and enjoy it 😀 It is also quite close to the Victoria Square, around 10 mins by walk

Quirky and old (very) series of small narrow rooms. Very convivial and cosy. Beer is OK - reasonable amount of real ale, but lots of it hoppy/hazy IPAs. Service lovely, Bathrooms dubious.

Nice quaint place pity there are so many curfews on items though.

£6.90 a pint absolutely extortionate

Lovely interior, but unfortunately very overpriced drinks. I feel a little bit cheated - £6.90 for a half of staropramen and half a Hobgoblin. I'd say that's 40% above most similar establishments. Probably explains why it was so quiet!

No real ale they do sell Doom Bar but that's not real ale loads of mainstream lagers etc.

Stopped here for a few pints whilst out in Birmingham. Quaint little place with super friendly staff. Not very big inside but nice seating outside.

What a beautiful little bar on the side of the now infamous Birmingham Canal. Was there for the Iron Maiden concert nearby and despite there being a load of concert goers all drinking and getting in the spirit of things, the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating.

Quaint canal side bar with good range of drinks

What a disappointment. My partner and I have been coming to this lovely bar for a while, and recently it has really fallen short of expectations. £7.00 for a pint of Punk IPA and £6.90 for a pint of Guinness is nothing short of criminal, but the final straw was yesterday, trying to enjoy our evening we saw the bar manager/owner lady scream and be horrible to their own staff. We would understand the price for impeccable service and a lovely atmosphere, but you are paying top prices for an owner/management that screams and scolds their employees - especially in front of customers (for something minor as well...). Shame. Do not reward this behaviour by coming here.

Went on a warm Friday evening and it was nearly empty. Probably because the service was polite but excruciatingly slow and the prices ridiculously high (£7 for a pint of beer). Nice interior, lovely location but that's it.

Overpriced and limited pump selection. Inside was small and left us feeling claustrophobic. The outside seating area was empty so we sat there. After a few more couples also sat outside we were nearly sitting on each others laps. Two rows of seating have been squeezed in to an area that should only have one row. All the people sitting outside nervously joked about it with each other.

Visited on Thursday evening to discover pints of very underwhelming frothy lager and average Guinness are now just under £7 a pint! Three and a half pints over £24!!I queried the price as Guiness next door is only £3:90…. Just greedy , won’t return!

Used to visit regularly and always found drinks well priced for the location. Called on Thursday evening and was appalled to be charged £24:10 for 2.5 pints of over frothy lager and a pint of Guinness . I queried the price and was told that all pints are around £7! Next door charges £3:90 for Guinness and the Old Joint Stock ( a much higher end pub) charged less for a larger round of drinks ! Absolute rip off, will not be returning
