Refused to serve despite serving and taking orders from large disorganised group in front of me. Well before end of lunch and despite standing less than 1metre from the food choice. I am diabetic and needed to eat urgently. Made to feel a nuisance. Will not be returning.

I have brain damage and tumour. I used to go there. My puppy weed on a smaller pots while I was speaking to 2 guys wrapping Christmas trees . They didn’t remind me of my error. Then I was stopped at the tills with people around waiting to pay and shift manager told me off in public. I felt humiliated. She is half my age . I have told everyone in garden centre about my issues. I told shift manager that I feel humiliated and there was no need to be approached like this. The guys doing Christmas trees could have told me. I don’t hide my brain issues. I tell everyone. I am very friendly. We were using this garden centre a lot and I was always watchful of my puppy . My puppy is a yourkshire terrier. We always give him a walks few times a day. For the lack of customer treatment when they know about my condition, I give them 1 star .

Food is good but the service is very poor. The staff are so miserable and offhand. I wouldn't recommend this place at all as the well below expected attitude makes the visit intolerable Much better places around. Something is very wrong there . Proberbly the most unfriendly service I have encountered in a long while.

I met here with a friend and we were looking forward to spending a long time here over a leisurely lunch. On arrival we decided to have a coffee first so went to the restaurant. Whilst waiting we looked at the menu and I was most disappointed that there was only one dish on the menu that didn't contain meat. I couldn't believe that in today's world the only thing on the ENTIRE menu without meat was a curry which I didn't fancy on a Sunday. When I asked a member of staff why this was the case, she informed me that there was only chef in the kitchen. I wasn't quite sure how that was relevant as the menu was already printed. I appreciate that nowadays there are many different dietary requirements which cannot always be met in every establishment, I would certainly expect there to be at least a couple of options without meat.

So disappointing used to be a lovely place to eat food has gone down hill. My mother ordered jacket potato and prawns the prawns were very watery and no flavour, the butter is on the side but the prawns are already on top of the potato so don’t see the point in the butter being there. I ordered Brie, bacon and mango chutney panini and got a ham and cheese toastie. Definitely not what I ordered really disappoints me if I have to complain so I kept it but it wasn’t very nice so made me feel more gutted that I didn’t get what I ordered. Lady came over when I had finished playing with what I had and said I’ve given you the wrong thing didn’t I. Hmm yes but why didn’t I get a refund offered for the difference since I paid more for a panini or a discount off a pudding a gesture would have been nice.

I have visited Camelias at Everton Nurseries numerous times over the years and most Sunday's over the past year. There have been several occasions that Roasts have been disappointing but the majority have been very good. Today's visit started well with a reserved table and good menu choice and a very short queue to order main courses, desserts and drinks for five. Camellias is now back to self service for cutlery and tap water and a lack of cutlery was quickly resolved. Main courses arrived very quickly (2 within 5 minutes and 3 within 10 minutes. Missing vegetables on 2 Mains were resolved quickly. After 20 minutes we asked where our drinks were and they arrived 10 minutes later. After 40 minutes, 50 minutes and an hour we asked where our desserts were and nothing was cleared away and finally 2 desserts turned up, still with mains not cleared away. In the end we were refunded for other desserts as we gave up. Sadly service has been an issue for several months but it has reached the point where I can no longer recommend Camelias on a Sunday. I cannot objectively comment on other days of the week. Avoid!!

2pm no joy being served in cafe in Southampton so decided nip to cafe in Everton garden centre. Looked up online closing time, closed 4.30pm, lots of pics info no other re times stop serving... been twice before lovely so thought safe place to go. Took over an hour to get there, by 3.15pm, picked a table so had table number, food on board not available anymore, oh, we just want a sandwich. She told us - Stopped serving sandwiches at 3pm. Only cakes on display to eat. I thought- Closes 4.30pm, no mention last food served online, sure had sarny later than 3pm here before, why isnt that clearly mentioned online?! Closing time is pointless. Important time is when can get last basic cafe type food! I have to wonder, do places not need customers anymore, i really dont understand why companies turn away willing happy to pay customers! Doubt if go here again, will have lost hundreds a year from us as brought family here in past, was going to again... but think will go elsewhere, plenty of places in New Forest to eat.

This restaurant is at Everton Nurseries and Garden Centre, near Lymington, but I"m sure half the people who go there do so just to use the restaurant. It really is amazing. There are an abundance of garden centres in and around Lymington, all with cafes and restaurants, and indeed all very good, but this has to take the prize. Every day there are half a dozen or more freshly cooked main meals. Shut your your eyes and I would defy you not to think that what you are eating hadn't been cooked by your mum! Usually at least 5 differently freshly cooked vegetables on the plate, all cooked to perfection, and the pies of various sorts are as good as you will get in any fine diner. It's a large plateful of heaven. If it's sandwiches or lite-bites you want, they too are delicious. This is the best eating place for miles. If they opened and did evening meals there would be a queue. Wonderful

Staff variable, cheerful waitress but lady dishing out dinners reminded me of my school dinner lady. We sat outside in the glassed area which could do with a general tidy up but will definitely visit again.

Very popular for Sunday lunch. Book or come early. But popular during the rest of the week as well. Good home cooked food and snacks

Highly recommended for good home cooked traditional food in a garden centre setting. Very reasonably priced and good portions.

On my way back from Lymington I called into Camelias for a late lunch and whilst they had stopped serving hot meals I ordered a ham sandwich and elderflower presse and found a table and waited for my food to be prepared and delivered. The ham sandwich was amazing, lovely thick cut fresh bread with equally good home cooked ham also thickly sliced. The plate also contained crisps and a nice side salad.I really enjoyed the food and was really full. I would say the sandwich was really good value.

Visited to look round the garden centre and had lunch. We both had jacket potatoes and salad. The food was okay but nothing special and the filling was not over generous.

During another trip to Lymington we called into Camellia's and it was very busy indeed and we got the last free table. You have to queue up to place your order and they give you a number on a stick to take to your tableWe ordered chicken and sweetcorn soup which came with a large piece of baguette and butter, also a Lasagne which came with salad and garlic bread. Both meals were lovely, the soup had lots of chicken in it and was very filling. The Lasagne was also very good indeed.Staff were pleasant and brought the food to our table. The Christmas shop was also open in the nursery and they had some nice things for sale at reasonable prices and you could definitely find something for those who are hard to please!

Pop in here most weeks for coffee, which is very good. Have had the odd sandwich, but nothing to write home about. The cakes can be very hit and miss, stale at times, and quite expensive too.Mainly frequented by older generation for their lunches, which I have not sampled for the prime reason that the food is put out on a hotplate from about 11:30am and just left until presumably all eaten (?). Sorry, but not for me.They could do with giving some members of staff a customer service course. Although a regular there is no recognition and interaction of pleasantries. Most weeks we feel we are being done a favour in being served!

Very disappointed with our lunch. The staff were miserable and not welcoming. My sister had the cottage pie, it was awful, so awful that she couldn't eat it. The mince clearly had not been drained properly so therefore all the fat had set around the meat, not appetizing at all. It was just thrown on the plate, no presentation skills in this place! We also ordered cheese baguettes, the bread wasn't fresh. The prices seem way over the top especially when the food and service is so poor. These kind of places are usually so lovely and ones that you want to go back to again, unfortunately this isn't one of them , we most certainly won't be returning.

I often come here when I visit the area. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is always good. The set-up is canteen style - you choose and pay for your food first and then it is brought to you. The kind of food on offer ranges from home made pie, curry, quiches and stews to light salads. Check the blackboard as you come in. The puddings are yummy - I would recommend the trifle if you have enough room! Portions are generous and the standard is consistently good. You can sit inside or outside - even though it I under cover. Down sides? It can get busy as it's very popular with locals. Get the early or book at weekends.

Following a business trip to Lymington it was time for lunch and despite extensive efforts I was unable to find a place to eat that was not packed out or did not offer parking so decided to set off and hoped to find somewhere on the way.I came across Everton Nurseries and tried their restaurant called Camellia's and was very impressed with the selection of delicious home made food they offered. You can see the dishes that are available, you choose your food and drinks which you pay for. They then bring your food choice to your table (they give you a number). The restaurant is quite large and was frequented mainly by retired folk and was clearly a popular place.Prices are reasonable with an average dish costing £7.95 such as steak pie or cottage pie which comes with a massive serving of vegetables. The do also offer lighter options such as sandwiches, scones and cream, biscuits and cakes. It is a great place to eat, very reasonable for what you get and you can have a mooch around the garden centre too.
