Great wine shop with huge range and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Several branches locally. Good that they also run as a bar with carious wines by the glass as usual but also you can buy any bottle and pay corkage if you prefer to browse 🙂. Also tastings and other events, which I have not tried but they look good. Loved the Loire Flight of 4x50ml glasses and, best of all, the "Lucky Dip" glass for £7 - but free if you correctly guess region and grape! Of course I did not, so I have to go back and try again 😊

While the wine selection at this establishment is truly fantastic and the ambiance of the place is delightful, I was somewhat disappointed by the steep corkage fee of £10 imposed on top of the bottle price. When I inquired with the staff members about whether this pricing was standard or applicable only on Fri evening/weekends, I was met with a rather uncomfortable situation. Instead of addressing my concern discreetly,the staff member announced loudly, for everyone to hear, that if I was dissatisfied with the corkage pricing, he would refund the fee. While I appreciate the offer to remedy the situation, I found the manner in which it was handled to be somewhat embarrassing. It would have been preferable for such matters to be addressed privately and professionally. Overall, while the wine and atmosphere are commendable, the experience left something to be desired in terms of customer service discretion.

They have some good wines i expect...but nothing in my price range Hence didnt buy anything......The owner was abit rude about this. Went to Tesco.

Go in all the time. Great selection great ambience. You can also bring your own food and have a drink in the shop. Very good.

Why has the wine run out so quickly? I’m sure it was a regular sized bottle….. Honestly cracking recommendation on the Californian red for thanksgiving. Will be back to pick your minds for more slightly weird wine again. Great customer service! Real experts.

Great local wine shop, with a good selection of bottles, and helpful staff. The shop also sells a good range of craft beer, which can be hard to find in Cambridge. In the evenings the shop serves wine by the glass (a generous serving and reasonably priced), or corkage for a bottle purchased from the shop. You can bring your own food to eat, but my husband and I like to go on Thursday evenings when the Steak & Honour van is nearby, and you can eat a burger along with your wine.

Knowledgeable, helpful staff, with a nice relaxed atmosphere, given space to browse, but there if you want any assistance. Also the ability to sample wines is extremely handy, this stopped us buying one which wasn't for us, but we had it in the trolley! So exchanged it before purchasing for one more suitable for our taste buds. Love the fact there's parking right outside the shop too.

Cambridge Wine Merchants hosted a corporate event for us involving a fantastic midday wine tasting. A selection of wines with cheese, hams and bread and a great explanation of each wine. Delivered exactly what we wanted with a relaxed environment where we all still learnt something, whilst enjoying lovely wine! Thoroughly recommend

Very good selection with friendly staff who are happy to give recommendations based on your inputs. I also love sitting in to enjoy a glass or four along with some takeaway from a nearby vendor.

Not technically a restaurant, but they operate a bring your own food arrangement. It is a wonderful concept, and we were able to make use of the the food truck just outside of the winebar. You can order on an App and pop outside to collect when it is ready, to eat inside the lovely setting within the winebar/shop. We had some amazingly delicious beef burgers, all alongside an amazing array of wines to sample! Had a great evening and we really enjoyed ourselves!

REALLY FRIENDLY STAFF AND FANCY WINE, OR SO I ASSUME I'M NOT ENTIRELY VERSED IN WINE SPEAK BUT IT SOUNDED FANCY ENOUGH. FAIR PRICES FOR A BOTTLE OF PORT AS WELL, SO OVERALL IF I WAS A RICH OLD RETIRED LADY I WOULD BRING MY GIRLS HERE EVERY WEEK TO SHARE THE LATEST GOSSIP.

What a great find! The staff are really knowledgeable about the selections of wine they have and are so accommodating. We were able to bring in food and enjoy a lovely bottle!

Visited this place today. Chose the bottle of wine for 14£ and decided to drink it at the place. final bill 24£. Apparently there is a 10£ corkage fee for the wine you buy there. The staff didn’t mention it before, because it’s apparently stated on the menu, which i wasn’t provided. No real service, not even napkins, just 3 glasses provided and 10£ charged. It was my first and last visit.

A fine selection of wines it's just a shame that the customer service is so poor! I had to wait to be served whilst the manager finished his conversation and afterwards was made to feel inferior and an inconvenience . Choosing a nice bottle of wine should not be pretentious. I would recommend Noel Young wine in Cambridge as an alternative.

Great local wine shop with friendly staff. You can sit in and buy wine by the (very generously portioned) glass, and even bring your own food in to eat with it. They also have a huge selection of beers and other drinks.

Favourite wine spot in Cambridge

I am not a wine lover but they have a lot of them and they can also give you some advice if you need a gift. Also, they have a lot of craft beer and some tables to sit and enjoy some wine taste. That's something I will make on my next visit (and I will leave you an update) 😌! Until then, Cheers!

This place is amazing! Casual wine bar in a wine shop with a dazzling selection of beverages. Food's mostly nibbles but really great too. Lovely night!

As expected there is a great selection of wines. Also a small selection of chilled craft beer, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, plus a small selection of cider. Nice atmosphere inside and the staff are knowledgable and friendly.

A cosy and intimate environment for a comedy event with ample beverage options! Will definitely be looking to go again. A little heavy on your pockets in terms of cost.

Que sea claro, no compro vino sino cervezas así que no puedo decir si los vinos son buenos sino que la selección es muy grande. La selección de cervezas y alcoholes fuertes es, por supuesto, menos grande pero muy interesante. Siempre hay nuevas cervezas, sólo raras y de buena calidad. El precio es al nivel de la calidad.

Wonderful tapas lunch at CWM. Excellent tapas provided by Qué Rico Tapas including slow cooked beef cheeks, devilled eggs and patatas bravas (not easy to make a potato dish exciting but achieved here). Wine paired to the dishes, knowledgeable and attentive staff made for an outstanding Sunday lunch.

ケンブリッジ市内ケム川沿いにも１軒ありますが、こちらはケンブリッジ駅の裏側、住宅街の中にあります。店内はこじんまりとして いますが、席は約５テーブル程あります。壁中に陳列されたワインも購入して飲めますし、あるいはメニューからグラスで注文も可能です。ジンも豊富です。ワインをなかなか決められないという方には、手書きのおすすめポイントがボトルに付けられていますので参考にできます。店員さんも気軽に説明してくれますよ。

Had a great time here on my 3rd anniversary, a staggering selection of alcoholic beverages on shelving all around you, knowledgeable staff help you to make informed choices on what to try. Nice and quiet early afternoon starts to pick up in the evening. I will definitely be going back this year.

Attended a Jura whisky tasting event in 2018. It was a beautiful venue with an excellent selection of whisky, the overall ambience of the merchant was extremely welcoming. The tasting event was outstanding! Great night, and a great experience.

Excellent selection of wine, beers and spirits. They sell Cambridge gin amongst other things. They also have serve drinks on-site and sometimes do special food and drinks events.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selections of wine, gins, and beers. Lovely spaces to sit and enjoy the wines. I've not been but they also put on tastings that are apparently excellent.

I love the atmosphere of this place. On the Thursday night there is a gourmet burger van outside. One can have a fantastic burger and also sit down with some lovely wine

There's a great variety of wines and spirits to choose from. Quite different from shopping in a supermarket! Knowledgeable staff guide when requested but their hand written tasting notes on many bottles are a useful. Haven't had bad advice yet!

A surprising but excellent venue for eating and drinking.

I've come here loads of times just to buy a bottle, get a gift, or to have drinks with friends. There was a guy who was really great, who helped me pick out some wines for a wedding gift according to the couple's preferences. I don't know if he's still there though; I don't see him around much. Anyway, the staff are really helpful. It's not near too many places for food - Bridge St branch is handier in that respect - but, on a Thursday, Steak & Honour have a food van outside, sitting in the laundrette car park. It's busier on this night, so be prepared if you want a table.

The bar is very appealing... BUT an Aperol Spritz with sparkling wine and drawn into sparkling water is quite unacceptable! The Duvel glass was not the right one screwing it a bit!

Very good place to enjoy with a good friends

So want to buy wine/ other spirits with someone telling you a bit more than what aisle it is in ... this is your place. People with expertise in wine ( of course) , gin & whisky, that’s what I bought so far... I am sure they know about all their stock. It is a brilliant place with a great crowd and a fantastic vibe to the place. You get to chat to for example the lovely Susie ( I hope the spelling is right, apologies if not ) who is extremely passionate as I found out about her Gin and recommended some great gin to me. You can ask Amy who is equally lovely who will tell you what goes well with spicy curry . Overall the staff and there carefully picked stock mixed with a brilliant ambience makes this place a great experience not only to pick your treat but also to sit and catch up with friends over some G & T if you like !!!!

What a great idea wine experts providing a range of recommended wines from their superb bespoke collection. The unfortunate thing was that the red wine was cold! I'm no expert but to me this is a very basic mistake as far as I am concerned. In mentioning this I was advised that it was served at room temperature but the room was so cold even the waitress was wearing her coat. Furthermore I went with the 8 flight taster selection and the red wine was kept adjacent to white wine in a chiller cabinet. Having mentioned this again it was only then that I was advised that the cabinet wasn't working very well. The light food was lovely although a little frugal on the cheese and I would return but would call them before to ensure all wines would be served at the right temperature.

Excellent selection of wines at a range of prices, but don't expect much in the cheaper end. Staff are very knowledgeable and approachable.

Not massively ideal for larger group but cosy, quaint & perfect for a small gathering of wine lovers.
