Best morrocan grill chicken & bread pudding With nice river view

The food was such high quality. Mushroom linguine was amazing so creamy. Service was very good too.

Walked in, even with no reservation, 8-10 tables open, not busy and turned away. Don’t waste your time.

I have been a regular guest of Galleria, and every visit surpasses my expectations. Although my favorite dish, the duck breast, is no longer on the menu, the replacement, duck confit, is also equally delightful. The fresh mussels served with a creamy soup base are a heavenly treat for the taste buds. The ambiance is lovely, especially when dining outside with a view of the river; if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the swan family passing by. The owner's warmth and hospitality add to the overall delightful experience, making it the perfect spot for a romantic date night. A place that I would highly recommend to anyone :)

Visited for mother's day with my disabled mother and my dad. The staff could not have been any more welcoming and helpful and friendly.. Making us instantly feel valued as a customer, something that is sadly lacking in a lot of Cambridge eateries these days.. Food choices meant there was something for everyone. I have coeliac disease and the staff were considerate and helpful.. All the staff were busy keeping the place looking inviting and guests serviced, with tables cleared and reset promptly.

Another fabulous evening at this absolute gem of a restaurant in Cambridge. Delicious food and service second to none. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Delicious and unique restaurant on the river, we enjoyed two very tasty and well presented mains- the cauliflower steak and chicken supreme. We also both enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding which was super moist and as good as my mums! The setting of this restaurant was beautiful, we really enjoyed watching the swans and punters sailing on the water as we ate our meal. The icing on the cake were the friendly and attentive waiting staff who really made the experience a lovely one!

What a great lunch. A warm welcome & seated on the balcony overlooking the river and historic university buildings - with blankets and a heater if you felt cold (we didnt). A great spot. The starters and the main courses were a work of art as well as hot and very tasty. The lemonchello spritz must be tried.

Lovely 'date night' meal with my wife on Saturday evening. Service and food was first class and would be very happy to visit again and to recommend to anyone looking for a night out. We had mussels and smoked duck starters which were lovely, followed by confit duck and chicken supreme. Beautifully cooked and presented. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding and 2 spoons!

Galleria were extremely accommodating for a large group booking. They were so helpful in the lead up and on the night, as well as the service being amazing and friendly. The team at Galleria are wonderful, food is great and atmosphere is lovely. Would 100% recommend! Thank you again

Initially not looking forward to coming to restaurant( friends choice) but did however find something I thought I may enjoy… and I did just that.! Nicely presented. Good sized portions and very very tasty. Only critisism for me was mussels and linguine could have been a tad warmer. However friendly staff and service excellent.Nice view by the river. Downside is I thought the toilets could be cleaner and a little more stylish but won’t stop me returning.

Went for supper with friends, one of whose birthday it was. OK, it was early Sunday evening, when Storm Isha was blowing up, so it wasn't exactly heaving. But it did mean we got the best table in the house, overlooking The River Cam. Food was lovely. It was quite rich, so although the portions were small, they were beautifully presented, and quite filling (we didn't have room for pud). The young woman who served us, Milly (short for Millicent) was lovely and helpful. Picking up that it was D's birthday, she brought an ice cream delight at the end of our meal, complete with candle, 'on the house'. Altogether a really great experience.

Unless you are just two people who can book river view tables(they don't have bigger size tables for river view), generally OK, but for what you pay, I didn't feel it was amazing. The staff at that time we were there not attentive. We were almost only customers, but they kept chatting with each other at the bar. We shared a few starters, which were good, but my main - seafood pasta wasn't served hot. I think it may have left for a while for the other dishes to be cooked. It tasted good, though, and plating was nice.

The owner and the employee are very friendly, the food is superb, for the starter I had onion soup, the main I have lamb stew with mashed potatoes and also dessert is a pear and raspberry sorbet. The overall atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant is very good and is perfect for dining with someone you loved. Or just like me eating and enjoyed the vibe alone. But I highly recommend it to give it a try.

We had our wedding lunch at the Galleria. Aamir and his team were extremely warm and welcoming and made our day an extra special experience. The food was delicious, exquisite and beautifully presented. Aamir helped us plan our day, he was very personable, knowledgeable and accommodating with our menu choices and ensured that our guests fully experienced the river-side location of the Galleria where we could watch punters pass by and relax before our meal. Been three times now and every time has been a delight! I'd go here over a chain like Côte any day. Prices are very fair, quality of food is excellent, atmosphere is lovely either if you're inside or on the balcony (which during the winter has temporary glass installed so it's not too cold to sit!). Service perfect, no long wait for food. Staff were also helpful with a family member using a wheelchair and not speaking English, which is SO appreciated and you sadly don't get in some places. Highly recommend the mussels, duck, and chocolate fondant with to-die-for sorbet, but everything I've had or my fellow guests I've had has been lovely!

Perfect restaurant for my birthday! I have visited this restaurant several times, and I always love their foods, service, and atmosphere. So I decided to go here for my birthday and they gave my dessert with this lovely birthday decorations!!! All people there were so nice, kind and friendly. I was very touched and it made my bday. Also, foods were awesome, and it was great to enjoy peaceful atmosphere, as this restaurant is right next to cam-river. I highly recommend this place and I deifinitely will go here again!

We came across this restaurant by chance when wandering around Cambridge. It really didn't disappoint! The food was exceptional, service excellent and the wine list impressive. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and will definitely go back 😊

My partner and I got married in Cambridge and decided to have a late lunch / early dinner with our family and friends and the Galleria Restaurant in Cambridge. The restaurant had sentimental value to us as when we were studying at Cambridge, we used to visit the restaurant for their steak sandwiches (sadly no longer on the menu, but we hope they will be back one day!). It was our dream to host a wedding dinner at Galleria and Aamir and his team were incredibly cooperative. We worked together to choose a menu and drinks and agreed an exclusivity deal on the restaurant so that we could have the space to ourselves, which made it extra special! Luckily the weather was beautiful so we started off with some drinks outside as people mingled and then we made our way inside for a wonderful three course dinner. Everything was delicious and Aamir and his team took extra care of the elderly, children and those with any special dietary requirements. In addition to the incredible food, all of it was served beautifully! His team even made a special portion of bread without nuts for our young cousin and a halal version of the lamb for our families. We were quite specific with our timings as we had to get back to London the same evening (it was a Sunday!) and the team were very punctual and made sure we had a quick service, but also allowed time for speeches too! We would recommend Galleria to anyone wanting to have a gourmet, but reasonably priced lunch/dinner in Cambridge and especially to those looking for somewhere to host an event - you will not be disappointed! We hope to be back soon, even if just for a quick drink on the terrace; the views of the River Cam and ambience cannot be beaten!

I booked a table for lunch yesterday as a surprise for my husband on his 65th Birthday. Aamir and his team were excellent hosts. They had reserved a table for us in the covered balcony so we were eating right over the river. It was great. The menu isn't extensive but we prefer that and it didn't disappoint. We had three courses of the most delicious and fresh food which was well presented. A nice touch....my husband's dessert came with a lighted birthday candle and a gold Happy Birthday on top of it. The background music was just right. Not like some eateries where you can't hear yourself speak. We would thoroughly recommend the Galleria. You will not be dissapointed. I came here on my own due to a work trip after Googling the menu and I was not disappointed. The sea bass was great and I really enjoyed the affogato. The vibe was kinda fancy but relaxed and my server aamir was brilliant too. The port negroni was also very good!

Although I didn’t have any food because I was just wanting to fill up my water bottle after a run, this restaurant looks fantastic! The staff were really nice and friendly as well (and they filled up my water bottle). I think I will come here to eat some time soon.

Great way to celebrate a birthday with friends

Can’t actually review the food, atmosphere or the cleanliness. We popped in to see if they had a table a available, as there appeared to be plenty of space. We were given very short shrift by a member of staff. I understand of course that Cambridge is teeming with tourists and students and they may well have been expecting customers that had already booked to fill those tables, but the surly attitude prevented us from even enquiring if there were tables available for the following day.

I was attracted to this spot by the tables nearest the Cam. We were told that the entire ground floor had been booked, but the whole time we were there it was just us and another table. Had haloumi salad and calamari salad. The first was a calorific cholestol bomb, with up to 500g of the cheese, which was just poorly done (chef must have confused grilling with scorcing. The second was okay. Both were enormous portion-wise, highly unsuitable for a light lunch. Pretentious owner adds - as is fashionable nowadays - an 'optional service charge' without warning. The first you know of it is when you look at the bill (IF you look at the bill prior to paying). Look, I come from a family that gave me lots of reasons to tip and tip well. Even in the UK. But if you OWN a restaurant at this spot in Cambridge you have NO excuse to charge for service when waiting on tables yourself.

We had the most incredible wedding lunch at Galleria with Aamir and the team. The setting was perfect, amazing food through all courses and outstanding service! All the personal touches were super appreciated and we would highly recommend- will be returning very soon! Thanks all

A lovely place. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was amazing, and the portions were very generous. I was genuinely sad to finish my meal! I would recommend this restaurant without any hesitation, and I will definitely be going back.

A lovely space to dine on! Had the confit duck and it was great. Would return for their beautiful terrace just by the water (which I recommend to book in advance). Aamir was warm and made good recommendations.

Wonderful restaurant by the river. We’ve been many times over the years. We sat on the balcony watching the punts. Food and service were excellent. Highly recommend.

I took my daughter here as a well done on her A Levels, so the bar was set high and I was very pleased. The service was excellent, as was the food. I imagine the balcony would have been great on a hot evening, but the inside was just as comfortable.

Arrived on the hoof and managed to get a balcony seat overlooking the punting on the river. Amazing service and food to die for. So surprised with the presentation as you could see the effort and care taken. Brought out by two staff so we all had food at the same time. Definitely go back again. Best meal this year!!

The service was top notch- easily the best service we’ve received in Cambridge. The food was excellent, we really recommend the mussels appetizer and sticky toffee pudding. My husband says it’s the best sticky toffee he has ever had

What a disappointment! Staff were fine, sitting on the balcony overlooking the river was beautiful but the food was soooo disappointing. Small portions for the price and lacking flavour. The vegetarian pastry baskets were stale; we would expect a freshly made pastry basket. The beetroot & mango salad was under seasoned and very small. The chicken supreme & rice was tasteless; there was no chilli hit at all. The cauliflower steak had no colour and resembled almost raw cauliflower with Heinz barbecue ketchup on top. The mains beetroot & halloumi salad was OK, if under-seasoned and a little flat. You defo need to check in with your chef. We don’t mind paying for good quality food - but we can’t recommend this restaurant at all.

Just arrived in Cambridge no dinner reservation and stopped at this wonderful restaurant and they fitted us in. from the moment we arrived the service was excellent and everyone was very welcoming. The food was delicious. I had see bas and my husband a haloumi salad. I loved the Lemoncello and Prosecco cocktail and the fish was cooked to perfection. personally I wasn't keen on the claw of brocolli; dill; cauliflower; apple: I think maybe it was too finely chopped tasted a bit of onion. The Sticky Toffee pudding was to die for! Literally, I try to refrain from having dessert but this was a wonderful exception. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Came here for the first time recently with my partner on our date night. We had been wanting to check out this place for a while as the tables right along the river looked quite alluring. Overall I would give the place 4 stars for food and 5 for ambiance, and 4.5 stars all around. We had the seafood pappardelle and porcini tagliatelle — both were pretty good, definitely enough to satisfy us, but not 5 star good. However, the sticky toffee pudding was incredible and definitely left us feeling grateful we had come. The manager and waiter were also great hosts, and we were thankful they repeatedly told other guests they couldn’t smoke on the balcony (they definitely tried). Overall we were pleased and I would recommend trying this place out! The ambiance along the water was some of the best we’ve experienced in Cambridge (with prices one would expect for such ambiance).

Když máte štěstí a usadíte se venku, máte pěkný výhled na řeku. Asi bych doporučil zajít tu se svým milým protějškem. Restaurace k tomu i tak trochu vybízí.

Came for lunch. Both the main (beetroot & halloumi salad) and dessert (panna cotta) were excellent. Reasonably priced and really friendly service. We sat right next to the river and the whole experience was great.

Having done a river punt tour and identified Galleria, thought we would give it a try to avoid a chain and support an independent business. Booking was easy, we were seated next to the river, good few tables if the weather is nice outside. Very friendly, polite, professional staff throughout the meal and we were not rushed during our stay. The food presentation and flavours are of a high standard and we very much enjoyed the mains. I would like to have seen some of the meals with an included additional accompanied side (for example Sea Bass) of potatoes. I think it would just provide that extra filling. All in all, I would return if attending.
