California Fried Chicken & Pizza in Bournemouth

Oh dear. So baked potato, ribs and chicken. Ribs were a floury mess. White, fatty just not something you could eat. Jacket potato was flooded in watery beans and cheap cheese. Apart from the chicken we shared the rest went in the bin. Cali had been better. Looks like the bad old days are back.

Food looked like it had been sat there all night! Had ribs that looked disgusting!! Chips were dead. Chicken burgers werent fresh! Went all in the bin. Waste of money. Very disappointed

Hazel 🥜 was extremely pilot and very helpful with my order. Upon ordering a chickens 🦶 she told me my mum already had a dim ☀️ so we changed the order and we decided on an omelette for vegans I must say I have never had vegan omelettes and brownies beforehand but the were delightfully sweet and tasty . Mario was very punctual arriving 20 minutes early . Food tbc………..

Just spent £49 on food that has gone in the bin! Tried calling and no answer. Chips looked and tasted like they had been cooked several times, like hard cardboard. Some of the chicken was black and unable to get your teeth into, let alone eat! But, more worrying… raw chicken!!!! Some of the chicken was black on the outside and raw in the middle. Absolutely awful! Have saved some of the food in my fridge in the hope none are of us become ill. Can’t even be bothered to mention the lack of chicken in the kebabs… wouldn’t even feed a five year old! I could go on, but cant be bothered.

Just orders food.. Priced at 15.00 for doner and chips you’d expect something half decent. Arrived I had requested meat to be well done and chips to be crispy. Doner wasn’t as asked and chips recooked leftovers. Salad for the kebab looked about 4 weeks old. Won’t use again or recommend

Been getting food for along time had a chicken box that the chicken wasn’t cooked. We were all sick including One of my daughters friends who was being violently sick off the chicken to the point it was it was red. We called them 3 times never got bk to us. When we finally got back to us they said they couldn’t do anything about it. We took pictures of the chicken. But still will do nothin. I will never be getting off them again

Got large lamb donner kebab, massive portion and great price

Chicken doner was dry, hard & no taste whatsoever.

Delivery was in good time and friendly - Chicken popcorn was very nice proper chicken fillet, cooked just right & the burger was also very good. All the food arrived steaming hot as well👍

California Fried Chicken & Pizza Take away. I had a Chicken kebab with chips and a salad, which cost me £10.40. Took it home, infact it was better than I thought. The chips were crisp, and I enjoyed the salad with a small pot of Mayonnaise.

Steak Baguette meal is bang on, kebabs and food in general is back up to great standard, which got them going in the beginning.

Got a large chicken kebab. We live a 5 min drive from the site and when I opened up the food it was bone cold. The most pitiful amount of salad and watered down sauces. Definitely won't be going back .

Horrible food old I reckon, box of 5 chicken 4 of them completely dry inside like old stock from other day, and 1 freshly done but horrible to. Dog had them but he didn't touch "the ribs" don't blame him... plus stuff they behave like Pablito

I haven't got a clue what I have just consumed but I'm sure it isn't donner meat. I feel ill already and not long finished. It was stone cold and the salad smelt off. I'm pretty concerned I'd I'm honest. This has made me feel quite sick I'm going to be asking manager for a refund tomorrow when I go in the shop. Quite revolting if I'm honest and a waist of money.

Woman taking orders over the phone decided to place us on hold midway through the order for 4 minutes. Couldn’t correctly take down an address or phone number thank god we never got as far as completing the order.

Ordered food on a Wednesday evening took and hour and a half!! Lied to On the phone being told it was on its way which it wasn’t.

Could not believe how quickly my food was delivered and it was really piping hot, not to mention it was really tasty.

Ordered 2 kebabs for me and my partner both were absolutely grim! meat quality is so poor one was chicken one was donnor and both were vile. Would never again order from here and now i can see why especially from the ratings it has already! gross!

Cali in the past 10-15 months have really upped their game and/or possibly changed owner. I normally go for chips and cheese and a D kebab and it has been consistently great. Good price and arrives hot! Cheers

I gave this place another shot after previously leaving a disappointing review. I would say this place has improved in most areas. The pizza and kebab wraps are delicious but i wouldn't order the standard kebab as when i order that it comes dry.

Haven't bought food from Cali in years. Recently we gave it a try and were pleasantly surprised. The food is nice and the portion sizes are good.

Places an order for delivering took well over an hour and 45 minutes to arrive stone bloody cold, was promised a refund and after chasing it days later I am told I cannot have a refund on food that had to be thrown away. I would advise not ordering from this establishment

Great strawberry thick shake and chicken burger

We just had a delivery from them and I must say we use them a lot but after tonight we will be looking for somewhere else, the jacket potato was stone cold and thats good seeing though it was over cooked and the skin was black, the 2 milk shakes we could not drink as they tasted gone off, the chips are really soggy really not happy. Rang about the milkshakes and was told they would try them and get back to me friday when the supervisor is back in

The place is not particularly clean, they are (fraudulently) displaying a 5 star hygiene rating when they only have a 3- filthy animals. Nobody should score less than 4. The owner is a rude obnoxious man who threatens women

Used to get almost daily orders they were that good but it went down hill over the last few years to the point my last experience of waiting over two hours, cold food, incorrect order and poor customer service meant I wouldn't recommend them to anyone anymore

Disrespectful staff speaking foreign language in front of customers only if they new I understand asking for a large bearly any in it when I open it and ask what is this instead of apology I get more foreign language in the back saying things about me then I revealed it and answered back, no price on display goes against trading standards, unwashed staff and I could go on where is the council helt inspector and for those of you who order online you all are getting the LEFTOVER from the day before once they tried to do it when I was there no cutting no packing literally les then 1 minute and my order was ready asked for my money back instantly in I would advise NOT TO ORDER

Obviously changed hands recently! Some dirty fat guy in charge who throws kebabs in a box with all the salad aswell whereas they used to do the salad separately .Meat undercooked, cold and very light portions. Used to be ok but definitely avoid this dog out.

Had issues paying online, phoned to order and advised to pay via delivery driver. Few days later our credit card had been blocked by Cali! Bank has now sorted, but we'll be no longer using Cali and their credit card payment system.

Very surprised at the bad reviews on here, although they seem to have been posted 8 years ago, time they went! Cali Chicken is great, good portion sizes, freshly cooked, friendly staff, great value.

I really love their food especially the monster burger would highly recommend it also the staff are very friendly

woohoo apparently i am a VIP customer. boohoo they can't even deliver what i have ordered (again) . bit embarrassing telling your guest its not your fault whilst you are munching on your semi warm chips. actually tried going instore the other day, about 2g difference to my LARGE chicken doner to my friends regular but in his favour. used to love cali but only soo much anyone can take

Wasn't too sure what to expect after reading the reviews but risked and ordered chicken burger. I have to say it was very nice specially the mayo the put on it . The chicken quality was much better than any other average kebab shop. When I mentioned it one of staff said its under new ownership. Well great so far by changing better quality poultry 🤗 see you soon 😊

Been here a couple of times recently with my partner, always quick service and the food has been excellent, I'm a fussy eater so not the easiest to please either! Much better value than McDonald's and much more filling.

Ordered a pizza and didnt realise until i got home that the base was bbq sauce (it didn't say this on the menu in the shop - i hate bbq sauce and would never order anything with it on). Tried a slice since i paid £12.. bbq sauce aside, it was a terrible pizza.. sickly sloppy mush. Definitely won't go there again

Ordered and paid wish we hadn't suddenly noticed how old the salad looked. I asked if there was fresh salad the reply no it is all the same. So I had to have no salad. The lettace was brown and the cucumber, tomato, was dry and old. The cabbage and the coleslaw was sloppy. They expect you to eat that! Dreadful bad! A gross service and attitude towards paid trusting customers. They just want your money and avoiding at all costs!!

Possibly the rudest staff I've ever experienced. Simply asked the guy at the counter if I could have my doner kebab well cooked and he flat out refused and said they're too busy to cook it longer. I honestly thought he was joking and laughed and he then said he was serious and you get it how they serve it. I will never step foot in the place again.

Had a 2 piece chicken and chips. Chicken was super dry and the skin was soggy, the fries were rubbery like they had been sat under hot lights for hours. 100% do not ever eat here EVER !!!!

Bought 2 kebabs here friday,one doner and one shish.satutday spent most of the day/night with sickness and diarrhoea and stomach cramps.my doner was cold and the shish wasn't much hotter and they were collected and not delivered.will not be going there again!!!

Pizzas and baguettes and salads/milkshakes are delicious!! Id say the pizzas actually are the BEST in Poole!! Kebabs sometimes good sometimes not depending on what part of meat is cut!

just had the best pizza since pizza rapida in kinson closed. pizza was very good.

Ordered food on Website which stated that they endeavoured to fulfil orders in 30 to 45 minutes (which I considered acceptable). After an hour I rang and was told they were very busy and waiting time was an hour and that my order was the next to leave. An hour and a half after placing my order it arrived. THEY HAD MY CONTACT DETAILS, WHY DIDN'T THEY USE THEM. That was bad enough but, the potato wedges I ordered were soft, soggy and lukewarm as was the pitta bread. Chicken was only warm. Salad OK. MY ADVICE DO NOT ORDER BY TELEPHONE OR ONLINE!!!!

Would give 0 stars if I could, ordered kebab meat chips and cheese, it was stone cold and half the kebab meat was raw. A garlic bread with cheese, sausage, onion and bacon. 3 tiny slices of sausage hardly any onion or bacon and no cheese, chips were like rubber. Called to complain was told no refunds but they would send another order so I said no I'll take the order back myself. The 2 guys in the shop couldn't care less and actually laughed at me. The shop was filthy with old food everywhere, flies all around and one of the guys was scratching in places I don't want to mention. I emailed my complaint to admin as I was told asking for a refund and have just been threatened with legal action if I use the pictures taken, so here you go, here's the pictures

Okay so I’m a big foodie, I love kebab but the food I was given was not edible and I’m sure it wasn’t kebab! Hands down the worst food I’ve EVER tasted. I honestly think my 7 year old brother could make a better meal. The chips were undercooked, the pitta bread was mouldy. onion rings were tasteless and the kebab was like eating a grated rat. I had to throw it all away after spending £15. Would never ever go back here and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I’m actually shocked how this place is still alive, it’s that bad. Delivery was quick but so was the throw away of food. Don’t waste your money, disgusting
