This is one of my favourite restraints in Nottingham. We had our monthly visit last night and were disappointed. The restaurant was not up to its normal standard, lots of new faces. Our order had errors, wrong starters and wrong breads. Yes starters and the mains were not to the usual standards and a the service was slow and poor.

Visited for dinner with friends. The food, service and ambience were exceptionally good. In fact the meal i had was incredibly good. My only criticism is that the prices are very expensive for Indian food which can also be of an excellent standard for a lot less money.

The Cumin Restaurant

06/05/2019: As Nottingham residents, we had wanted to visit the Cumin for a while, so booked a table when some friends were visiting. We had an absolutely excellent experience from start to finish! The service was attentive but not overpowering and ran like clockwork. We had a variety of meat, fish and veggie dishes with different spice levels and everyone loved what they had chosen. We will definitely go back!
04/06/2019: We sat in the pub opposite googling curry houses locally. This place came up and was nearby. With my husband in charge we had no chance of finding it. Fortunately I spotted it across the road from the pub. We could not have been made more welcome. And not asked the usual have you booked.

25/03/2019: We always eat at Tamatanga when we are in Nottingham, and it is always a great meal. Fast and friendly service and an interesting menu with lots of tasty food. Great value as well.
31/01/2019: OK folks first of all this place had a hood vibe to it and no problems with the service. It was very busy for a cold Thursday night at about 6.15. My quibble was the quality of the food. Or rather the quality of the food for the price. I had the the butter chicken with the Peshwari naan. The dish was fine nice chunks of chicken in a flavoursome sauce. However the naan was undercooked. Picked it up and crumbled. Now that says to me frozen !!. Texture of goo. Would I go back?. At a push and only as a part of a party. As I said had better Weatherspoons curry at half the price. Folks this is not a cooked fresh curry , nothing more than jar brought food.
