CakeSmiles East Park in Leicester

Them cake rolls in the glass cabinet are years old, was soooo post off to get served with rushty smelling old products 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

We went when we first arrived in Leicester, we were very happy to have found it, they have since opened other branches in Leicester, and we've visited them. Last visit, was terrible, food was poor, service terrible, staff on the phone on personal call most of our visit, coffee was bad. We'll not be visiting again. Also had similar reports from friends too.

When ordering, staff are unresponsive and look blankly at your face, no niceties there. Ordered hot drinks, water, and a selection of brunch items. When choosing where to sit all tables were dirty so we hoped someone would come over and clean the table, apparently not. Waited about 30 minutes for the food, were expecting the drinks to arrive first but they didn’t. When the waitress served the first plate we asked her to clean the table and held the plate up waiting, she disappeared for about 7 mins then returned with 2 more plates... we asked her if she was going to wipe the table and she said she forgot, and left us to hold up all the plates while she went to get the cloth. 3 dishes arrived, but out hotdog didn’t, while a customer who ordered after us received 2 hotdogs. Had to go to the front to ask if the hot dog was going and was assured it was being made? Asked for the glasses of water and was advised they were coming. Went back to the table and the pancake arrived. But the pancake was a crepe, and came with just soft strawberries when it was advertised as coming with bananas and strawberries. When we ordered the hotdog we asked for the chips to be masala chips, but when it arrived they served it with chips with the hotdog and masala chips. The hot drinks finally arrived but my caramel latte had no caramel. Finally, we asked for the glasses of water again and received one. Was told they have no more glasses. Bare in mind the cafe wasn’t even busy. Food (aside from the pancake/crepe) was nice. But appalling service

The place is not to big but enough for a small group the menu had variety and we enjoyed it will come again

don't go here the food is awful and you'll regret it and the service is very slowbut go in and see for yourself and all the other places in the area because I dare not try anymore

The waffle was so thin.. First time they give us a burned waffle.. And the tableware are so dirty! Its a disappointed place.. Definitely not recommended!

The owners of this place are absolute waste of time. They firstly think religion needs to be brought into matters when running a business. I feel bad how they treat their staff. Even others customers were shocked. The place is disgustingly dirty and they don't let anyone use their toilets as they are so filth saying they are not allowed for health and safety. What sort of stupid excuse of that?? The place looks nice but their infrastructure is a waste. Their owners have no etiquette. The owner I am referring to is the lady. A lot more places to go to. The cake shop on derwent street has better cakes, tastes much nicer and an existent customer skill that this place lacks.

first of all I'm never a person to complain but today i came to the east park road cafe it was around 3o clock.i normally have the best service, even if its at night morning or afternoon. just today i went and i had the worse experiance with the food and specially the customer service. the young girl who was there didn't even know what she was doing, she was very slow at her job tbh. i ordred my food, which i must say was very nice but not to sound very rude but the price i paid for the burger and chips was pathetic. specially after i got lets just say about only 10 chips no joke. i then got my food and i thought right its busy so i won't keep asking for my drinks i then waited and waited for the drinks just then my husband went to go ask when we will be getting our drinks, the girl then said she was just about to bring it but the real fact was she actually forgot about our drinks. I'm sorry to say again the experience today was rubbish. NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN..

Been here for breakfast a few times, service is ok...sometimes a bit slow and something is always forgotten and we've had to remind staff of our order. But I would return, I think their website needs an update as the last time we went another customer was throwing a tantrum over an offer so he had to pay a few pounds more when collecting his order. (was good morning entertainment for us as the customer was being childish and stubborn, adults shouldn't behave this way in public 😄)
