Poor service from bar staff. You can stand in queue and staff move over to serve someone who has arrived after you. Need to keep eye on who is in queue. And make it so you only serve from front of bar instead of all three sides.

I recently visited the Corn Exchange Bar, and while I can’t deny that the place itself has a great atmosphere and is beautifully designed, my experience with the service left a lot to be desired. After waiting at the bar for a while, I politely asked a staff member if I could be served, only to be met with an unnecessarily rude response: 'Can’t you see I’m doing work?' I understand that everyone has tasks to complete, but a simple acknowledgment or courteous reply would have made all the difference. It’s disappointing when great venues don’t match up with the level of service expected. I hope the management can address this issue because the place has so much potential to be amazing.

I have been cautious to leave this review but my experience is was truly appalling, for a start I saw 2 members of staff across from the coffee machines fending off flies that were hovering around drinks and sitting on “clean” glasses. The staff members were truly rude and un attentive to customers too lost in their own conversations. I over heard 2 ladies discussing their colleagues and being inappropriate regarding them. I saw a live cockroach crawling around the floor and several rats running around outside the front doors. All around a terrible experience would not recommend to anyone who values hygiene

Decent Wetherspoon's pub about ten minutes walk from Leicester Railway Station. Six cask beers on handpump when I visited. Plenty of outdoor seating. As the name suggests, the pub is located in a former Corn Exchange built in 1850. It is a grade II* listed building.

Not sure what to make of the pub to be honest. We only went in for a drink and it's possibly a good job if the mutterings from the table near us were anything to go by. Their food was apparently 'horrific'. As reviews go it wasn't the best. For a quick drink the pub served it's purpose without being anything to write home about. We certainly didn't feel like having another drink and were more than happy to move on to pastures new. The nearby table were still complaining and the words, 'utterly disgusting' were the last we heard as we departed...

I came here not intending to buy food, but considering I had just finishes a gym session, I needed some food. I started with a pint of Shipyard, which was superbly kept and obviously the lines were cleaned well. I then went for the spicy half chicken with chips with a pint of Worthingtons. The pint arrived before the food, which was a good gesture. When the food arrived the plate was nice and warm, the chips were cooked in fresh oil, and the chicken itself was fresh and hot, and moist, and well seasoned with sauce seemingly to have been pumped into the meat. The plate was finished off with a pot of naga sauce and a pot of coleslaw. A very pleasant meal to have for a quick lunch and it seems the Corn Exchange hit the mark this time. Long may it continue.

Used to love this pub. Hadn't been for a while. Went yesterday for a meal with my partner ordered 2 large mixed grills 1 medium and 1 well done. When the plates came out they were both missing fried eggs and were both very well done. Reported that a waiter came out with a small plate with 2 undercooked fried eggs. Upon closer inspection of the pile of meat it was very clearly not the 4 different meats it's should be. I called a waiter over and spoke to him he just said "yes I know what you mean it does look similar but there is pork, chicken, lamb and steak." So after cutting into my meat and tasting it I had 1 gammon, 2 pork and a piece of lamb. My partner had 4 pieces of steak only. The only thing on the whole plate that still tasted nice was the chips and onion rings. Really disappointed overall that our complaints at the time were not taken more seriously and rectified.

At first glance The Corn Exchange just looks like another Wetherspoons pub, but beneath those majestic stairs a place is breath-taking sight of two immaculate bars, armed with multiple shimmering taps with enough beer to satiate even the most gluttonous of Pub-lords, alongside an entire arsenal of spirit bottles containing the finest ambrosia ever to be conceived and the most exquisite wines that are crafted to perfection. These luxurious fluids are presented and made by extremly talented and charismatic artists known as Bar Associates who always present their work to the customers with beauty and flair. Each one of their creations are works of art that stay with you for the rest of your life. Being a student who must embark through the streets Leicester City Centre after an eternity of study at my establishment of education and who doesn't have a lot of free time, I always make pause my journey here to take a break from the immensely busy life I have chosen to pursue. It's one of the only places that makes me feel like I can close off my mind from all that exists beyond the walls of this historical monument. Upon each visit I make to this divine tavern I am lost in thought deciding on the upcoming banquet that I am about to consume, as the selection of delectable feasts on offer is as broad as the city it is located in. From the pinnacle of all dishes known as the "All Day Brunch" to the short bursts of magic that is the "Boneless Basket" there is little something for everyone and the quality of each dish is sublime. The chefs in that kitchen are some of the most remarkable geniuses I have ever encountered. In conclusion my many experiences at the Corn Exchange are memories that I will cherish for rest of my life. If you reside in the city of Leicester then no other establishment in the this fine city will satisfy you quite like The Corn Exchange.

When I stepped into this pub for the very first time last September, I wasn't really a pub-goer, and hadn't been to a lot of Wetherspoons before. Since then however, I feel like I've become somewhat of a regular. Whether I'm coming in for a quick XIX Vodka and Pepsi (no ice and a bit of fruit) before an event, or I've come in for a slap-up meal and a long night of drinking with the mates, I'm never let down by anything. The food is made as quickly as possible and always looks so good that you don't want to eat it (but then you remember how truly delicious it is, so you eat it as swift as Taylor). The same can be said for the drinks - and hey, the drinks always taste sweeter here because of how friendly the servers are here. And it's not just the servers, all of the staff here are super nice, with incredible skills to match (some good training that the managers have implemented, very clearly). I've met chefs, and some of the cleaners as well as the servers - the Corn Exchange is a machine, and all of the cogs are in place and working smoothly. They're always happy to welcome new people into the Wetherspoons family. If you can have one pub to keep in your heart and mind, make it this one.

A Symphony of Gastronomic Delight at The Corn Exchange: Allow me to regale you with the tale of my recent soirée at The Corn Exchange, an opulent oasis nestled within the heart of the bustling cityscape. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was enveloped in an aura of refined elegance, where the confluence of grandeur and conviviality danced harmoniously. Upon perusing the menu, my senses were enraptured by the symphony of culinary masterpieces on offer, each dish meticulously crafted to tantalize the palate and elevate the soul. From the succulent sirloin steak, cooked to absolute perfection, to the exquisitely indulgent vegetarian options that left me in a state of gastronomic euphoria, every morsel was a testament to the culinary prowess of the esteemed chefs. But it was not merely the delectable fare that enraptured my senses; it was the ambiance, the ambiance that transported me to a bygone era of sophistication and refinement. The resplendent decor, reminiscent of a grand Victorian parlour, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of revelry and indulgence. The soft glow of the ambient lighting, coupled with the gentle hum of laughter and conversation, created an atmosphere of unparalleled warmth and camaraderie. And let us not forget the libations! Ah, the libations! The Corn Exchange boasts an extensive selection of libations to suit even the most discerning of palates. From the velvety smoothness of the finest single malt whiskies to the effervescent effusion of the most exquisite champagne, each sip was a revelation, a testament to the artistry of the master mixologists behind the bar. But perhaps what truly sets The Corn Exchange apart is the impeccable service. From the moment I was graciously ushered to my table by the impeccably attired staff to the moment I bid adieu, every interaction was imbued with a sense of genuine warmth and hospitality that is all too rare in this modern age. In conclusion, my dear compatriots, if you find yourself in search of an experience that transcends the ordinary, look no further than The Corn Exchange. It is a veritable haven for the epicurean soul, a bastion of refinement in an increasingly chaotic world. Let us raise our glasses in salute to this veritable jewel in the crown of culinary excellence. Cheers!

We visited this place about two weeks ago. The place is nice and cozy with the food being just about the same as any other pub. No complaints there. We came with our car and parked at the parking facility given by Oadby. We spent about 45 mins there. And now we have received a Parking Charge notice stating that we are being fined on the grounds of 'Parked without registering vehicle at the bar or reception'. Now how is that normal? We used the parking facility just like the rest. There we no signs that said we were to do that. How is this even normal? We used Oadby's services so obviously we will use their available parking facility too. Just like any other parking facility that is provided by other pubs. No one asks to go register the car at the bar. Again, there was no such signs or boards mentioning this rule. We are now being fined a huge amount for something like this. Extremely disappointed and are caught off guard with this.
