The High Cross in Leicester

Mal servicio al cliente. No muy servicial o amable. Vinimos a tomar una copa de Navidad o dos, pero decidimos que uno era suficiente debido a tan terrible servicio al cliente. No era demasiado amable cuando compramos una bebida, pero tuvimos un problema con uno de sus múltiples bandidos. Colocamos monedas de dos libras, pero hubo un error en las ventanas, y la máquina se cerró. Un caballero calvo con gruesas gafas negras (que fue excepcionalmente grosero) dijo que esta es una de sus máquinas más nuevas, y esto no debería haber sucedido. También hizo que pusiéramos una libra adicional para probar un punto. Ahora estamos a 3 libras. Se ofreció a organizar un ingeniero y que pudiéramos recoger en unos días. No somos de Leicester, pero dijo que las máquinas no eran "suyas", y eso es todo lo que podía hacer. MUY MUY GROSERO Y MAL SERVICIO. Podría habernos ofrecido una copa o algo así pero asumimos que estábamos mintiendo. ¡NO VOLVEREMOS!

Visité aquí para un bocado rápido para comer y beber antes del teatro. Sirvió rápidamente y logró conseguir una mesa para la comida también. Servicio como siempre. La comida bien no estaba demasiado caliente teniendo en cuenta que era scampi y patatas fritas, guisantes como caliente.

Went in for lunch on a week day, found a seat easily, used the app to order food and drinks, all arrived in good time and as expected. The best feature was the toilets being on the same floor and not up/down 3 flights of stairs!

Delicious food, quick service, good place to go for breakfast lunch or dinner, atmosphere is brilliant

Typical Spoons in town centre. Quite busy but ordered on app and service was swift. Food was as you'd expect and no complaints

Fui a tomar un desayuno tradicional, frijoles fríos, hachís morenos, tocino y tostadas, pero la salchicha estaba caliente, así que bien hecho para casi tener una cosa caliente. Nunca más, terriblemente malo.

Buena ubicación para parar a comer mientras compras en el centro de la ciudad. La comida era normal, consigue lo que pagas. Las mesas y los baños no estaban muy limpios.

The only thing I had to complain to a manager about was one off the lady's seat was very loose didn't realize till I sat on it.he was very helpful

Place was quite busy due to there being a football match at Leicester City. But the service was good and quick. The food was very nice and not expensive.

Always go to the highcross for breakfast if we are in the city centre. Went today and the food was cold. Told 2 members of staff one shrugged his shoulders and walked off and the other failed to acknowledge me. Very disappointed and wont be returning anytime soon

Need to clean up the place and redecorate

The staff were amazing and helped me with my ale tasting poorly. The lovely bartender, Richdog, was able to tell that the ale was wrong and swiftly replaced it. I highly recommend this pub as he staff are amazing

Always a bargain and always busy, table service through the app is often the fastest way to get served and get a seat. Good place to start an afternoon out : )

I think this is extremely rude and not very inclusive since my friend can’t help how they talk.

Always a good place to meet , good atmosphere

Ordered steak and jacket potato plus a drink included. If you wanted extras like salad, sauce, etc, you would have to pay extra . Steak was okay, nothing special Needed a sauce to go with it or a bit of salads, as it was very bland . But it was cheap and cheerful. Not first choice to go and eat, but if you're on a budget,and you don't mind having pub meals. My granddaughter had the noodle soup She likes the soup, but again, if you wanted chicken or an egg, that would be extra to pay. Otherwise, it was just a veggies options . Overall cheap and cheerful!

Saturday lunch was nice 5 adults had wraps and chips or salads. With a drink was a great price 👌 was very busy and found room was limited around tables, so constantly knocking into chairs or tables. Bar was busy but we found bar staff pretty good compared to other bars in the town. Very nice afternoon had by all

Food is always brought out promptly. The chefs seem to really care about presentation of the food and I've never had a disappointing meal here.

Fabulous place. Super clean. Bright and airy, quiet on the Thursday afternoon we popped in for lunch. Fish and chips enormous 😋🐽. The car park opposite is paybyphone or cash. Unfortunately for one lady, her disabled parking badge had expired and she got a fine😱 be careful.

Good pud, big selection of beers

Twice we've lost something firstly a phone with bus passes and credit cards in and secondly my purse with cash in. Both time's been at the bar nothing taken. Can't thank the honesty of the staff enough. But thank you very much 😊

Pretty good service and food considering the location and how busy the place gets. Had the 3 for £14.90 to share between us and all 3 options were tasty and arrived really quickly, in fact before our drinks as they needed to change the barrel on a beer that had been ordered

Everytime getting bad response from the service staff. Looking rudely, and they don't let us do anything. Even with the food plates, they dropping very rudely . Especially two girls on the service(front staff) don't know how to look the customers and treat them very well. Work as a manager (in my perspective), people who are responsible for service, please train them properly. We are only here for food, not drunk at all the time, thou. But honestly, these people are kindly rude to everyone. food kinda good. Atmosphere loud, but even they will care for you smartphone volume( please be carefully they will kick you off when you use the smartphone )

Really busy Whetherspoons pub. The High Cross staff are very polite, the service is quick and efficient. Good afternoon food deals and decent range of drinks. Something for everyone at bargains prices.

you go outside to smoke or vape yet your not aloud to, i’d understand if people were eating outside but there was no one there

The High Cross on a Friday afternoon is a busy place to be. Busy and boisterous, at least it was on our visit. We managed to get a table and ordered food. The staff tried their best in trying circumstances. Attempting to be friendly and helpful while people slightly the worse for wear yell instructions at you is a skill. Our grub was adequate enough, but very tasty when you take into account we fed three of us for the cost of a rusk. Nice enough, very busy, move on...

Cheap booze friendly vibe seating outside

Chose the wrong time to visit I suppose. Saturday 5.40pm just after the match. Very crowded, noisy with an unfriendly atmosphere. I used the toilets and it was vomit city. 2 guys chucking up in the urinals. Spit everywhere. Lots of security staff doing nothing. Never again.

Just had the worst "gourmet" steak ever in Spoons. All gristle . Jacket potato had no butter so was very dry. Shame on you, Tim. Get your act together please.

Really really good food with a wide range of food on the menu. Price is very reasonable and is affordable. Unfortunately the atmosphere is a bit loud for some people.

5 stars overall, 4 stars for everything else, which is expected for a 'spoons. A full 4 stars for a wetherspoons makes it a top spoons, which is 5 stars. Anyway was very quick with the food (I had the mushrooms benedict and she had a beans on toast) perfect hangover cure with a few pints between us. Nice and quiet on a Sunday morning but with enough people to add atmosphere. Goes above the standard spoons, very welcoming, clean toilets and a cheeky outdoor area to the rear, can't go wrong.

Wetherspoons pub cheap prices but not one of their best pubs gets crowded at weekends and lunch times as shopping centre close by.

Busy well used pub, good value drinks, food is no frills and decent value. Was struggling to order food and drinks from the app as I had a poor signal and the Wetherspoons WiFi had not been working for a month apparently, which is not good, but service at the bar was quick from the friendly bar staff.

It's a big pub when you explore the staffs, work hard at the bar. It can get busy mid evening but you can get a spot. It has its local clients who like a good pint at a good price for a city centre pub.

First time visiting will go back again

Lovely holiday destination, cannot fault it

It's a wetherspoons so you know what to expect :) I went in for a breakfast to set myself up for a day of sightseeing. Good value and decent food as always. The staff were friendly and service was really quick.

Mccayler was an absolute darling , she was so lovely , genuinely felt like she was a friend rather than someone who was serving us , I cannot reccomend her more than anything she is so lovely and her service is on top :)
