Cakehole Cafe in Tower Hamlets

I came on the 27th of August around 3:15pm to eat some scones. The food was really good. However, I wasn't well received, as I said Hello (like a polite human), the waitress laught at me with her colleague. She said "sorry" but I was feeling really uncomfortable. I still had food there but I regret not to have left. The experience I had wasn't what I expected because of the poor customer service at this specific time.

This is our go to place whenever we’re down Columbia flower market. Friendly service, home made cakes and not over priced.

Don’t recommend going, at all. There’s tons of other (friendlier) places in this street. Had an okay experience at first, but unfortunately ruined by what appeared to be the manager/owner. Commented on my “wow” to the food by saying “you aren’t dramatic at all!”, which I found absolutely unprofessional. All around bad vibes from her, and then proceeded to tell us to leave, politely but passive aggressively, stating other people might need the table when the cafe was completely empty. Heard her say it to other tables before us as well, so our experience wasn’t unique. Iced coffee was good, carrot cake not so much. It’s quite unfortunate, but this experience ruined my day.

Very nice antique shop and pretty vintage cafe which serves delicious (and not expensive) cream tea!
