Cake Box Epsom in Epsom and Ewell

I popped here one Saturday eve with some friends. They were full when we got there, so the chap said to come back 30 minutes later, and he'd have space for us...an indeed he did the second time around. I decided on a lamb dhansak with mushroom rice, and it was a very enjoyable dish! The curry itself was very tasty, with the sauce not being too sweet or sharp and of decent consistency as far as English curries go. The lamb wasn't too chewy either, with some lovely melt in the mouth pieces to be found. The rice was plenty and accompanied the Dhansak well. The service was attentive and professional. But nonetheless, only 4 stars as there was no running water in the men's toilet, which, for me, is a massive hygiene issue. It's definitely worth a visit for the food, though. :)

First time ordering from here! The chicken was cooked lovely, tikka very flavoury, but my roti was not cooked properly and neither was the chips, the rice also smelt a little sweaty almost? alongside that everything turned up literally smothered in sauce! Not sure if due to poor delivery or poor packing! Such a shame half my sauce was all over everything!

Lovely surprise, this Indian restaurant is wonderful, food was delicious, staff attentive but not rushed, atmosphere was relaxed and chilled, lovely few hours of heaven

Sooooo delicious. Really decent portion sizes even for the sides. A little heat in some dishes but not hot. Will defo order again!

Bad customer service. Poor coomunication skills of staff. Impolite waiters explaining policies and stuff in a very wierd and rude way.

We recently dined at this lovely Indian cuisine restaurant and had an amazing experience. The service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely fabulous. Each dish was rich, tasty, and incredibly satisfying. If you enjoy a hearty and fulfilling meal, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

I ordered from them edamame, rice, and chicken tikka awsal... I ordered it for home. I mean, we didn't eat there. Mashallah, the food is hot, the rice is fluffy and delicious, and the edamas are not at all delicious and full of onions. I took a jalfrezi, it was all onions, not a lot of vegetables, it was red and a lot of oil, and the second edam also had oil and a lot of onions. And the receipts are good. As for the service and dealing, they are excellent. They explain and understand everything. I think the amount is too much for the quality of the food. The biggest problem is how he tells me it is halal and displays bottles of liquor at the entrance to the restaurant. By God, it is a shameful thing for us to be Muslims and those who work as Muslims and serve alcohol. Even if the food is halal, I think I do not trust them. This is the first and last time I order from them. They have. I prefer not to deal with any Arab or Asian Muslim restaurant that offers alcohol. This is not Islam.

Ordered first time from. Food is excellent and food was still hot when delivered. I love the butter chicken and roti which I’ve been craving to eat. Will order again 👍🏼

My friends and I meet at Khans regularly and every single time the service is outstanding and attentive as well as the atmosphere being very chilled and comfortable! But not just that the food is delicious with great portion sizes and wide variety to choose from on the menu that will suit most people’s tastes im sure!

they have stopped giving sundries like coconut chutneys, onions etc. when i asked for it they tried to be clever and send one pot of some unusual brown sauce.. and only sent 1 naan instead of two. Not sure whats going on with the service there lately. Used to be good now going down.

Place was a bit empty and the service was slow, maybe they sent staff home? The food was very good 👍

Always nice food from Khans although arrived half an hour late and 45 minutes after it was allegedly with the courier, so not very hot by the time it arrived.

Food was okay and combined with drinks was reasonably priced. I would go again

Worst food ever, this restaurant microwaves the food and nothing is fresh in this restaurant. We had food poisoning after having lunch today in this restaurant. Please avoid it. I am going to write tot he Epsom city council to look at the food safety issues in this place. Please avoid it.

Food was really tasty. We’ve been shopping around the area for a while trying to find the best curry and think this might just be it. Dishes were saucy and very tasty, would recommend and will be ordering again.

We've have eaten in here once and takeout 3 X now. Food is delicious. Don't normally review but had to as really deserves 5 stars. Portion sizes are great and good price too. Very friendly when eating in and when ordering for delivery.

Lovely as always. We are regulars, pre cinema in restaurant or take away, there is never a drop in the quality of food. Highly recommended.

Was supposed to have got 1 naan bread with the VC. I bought extra one so i’d have 2. Short of 1 free naan bread.

Food was lovely could of done with some mint sauce and onion salad to go with the papadum

Order arrived on time, missing two items. Took an hour and a half to get those items out to us, by which time we had finished our meal having waited half hour before beginning in the hope of getting our additional items - we requested a refund through just eat and sent the items back when they’d finally arrived.

Very good quality food, service and atmosphere. Without a doubt one of the best curry houses in the county.

Food was delicious. Collection was delayed with problem with order- rather than clarifying when the order came in the restaurant waited 20-25 minutes to clarify leading to us waiting 25 minutes. Naan bread missing from order. Apart from that.. happy with food.

Great food. Veggie curries tend to lack in gravy in my experience, but not at Khans. Plenty of gravy with the dish. I was pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed my meal.

The curry itself is always very nice and tasty but they let they self down with the popudoms that send out on delivery that are burnt and you can not eat them.They would not send them out to a table in there restaurant . but everything else is great service and delivery

Decent fresh curry , special mention for the tasty mushroom rice 😋no cauliflower so put broccoli in the aloo gobi was actually alright tbf

This place the food gets better each time you order i always order the Chicken Madras one of my favourites here very spicy and tasty they do the dish best round the area delivery service always good

Really nice ambience and location. Good customer service. The food however is ok. Ordered chicken haryali, chicken butter, own biryani, and jumbo prawn biryani but all the items were sort of sweetish in taste. Chicken items are halal. Parking is available in Lidl which just a minute away from the restaurant. No high-chair for kids.

I’ve been a regular at Khans for 2 years now. Food is quality every time. Always arrives hot. Meat is always tender. Very well priced. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

The food was awful. Poor quality and tasted mostly of chilli. Not aromatic or tasty. Very disappointed and probably one of the worst I've ever had. I would get a refund if I thought I could. Most is in the bin. Waste of money

The food was excellent the chicken Ceylon was delicious well spiced and not overly hot. I would highly recommend them.

No other curry comes close to this. Absolutely delicious, friendly service and reasonable prices. You will not be disappointed!

Had a Chicken Pathia, mushroom rice, sag-allo, 2 poppadoms, and a garlic nan, all washed down with a bottle of Cobra, all for 28 quid, including tip. Excellent food & decent service. They do a 15 quid 3 course deal on Monday, Wednesdays & Fridays, too.

Excellent place to eat, there over 20 of us from Epsom Hockey Club so it was not easy for the staff there but they were brilliant

Thanks again to Khans. 16 of us celebrating end of season at Epsom Hockey. Looked after us so well, delicious food with wide meat and vegetarian options and plenty of Cobra. Top job and highly recommended.

First time I have ordered from here, I’ve struggled to find a decent curry place in the area and I would say this is by far the best I’ve eaten. It was quite late and therefore a bit cold but the actual taste and quality of the food was so good I can’t complain so I will definitely be ordering from here again and would definitely recommend!

First time using Khans and was very impressed. Tasty food, decent value given portion size as well. Tried 3 different chicken mains and each was very different but all very good.Food delivered quickly and with a smile.

Have ordered from khans restaurant over the last few months and have tried different dishes. Always satisfied with the delivery service and the quality of the food. Another good thing about them is they do not any delivery charge for some restaurants it’s £2.50 and they do not have any extra charges

Ordered a takeaway, then had the Khans driver ring us via phone to say he’s been waiting 20 minutes and ringing the doorbell. This never happened doorbell wasn’t rung once, he then swore repeatedly and was verbally aggressive which was witnessed by neighbours and caught on the cctv so will be progressing with the police as this behaviour was categorically not acceptable under any circumstances

So I ordered a cheesecake using just eat I get a call from cake box epsom saying we have no cheesecakes not had any for a couple of week so why not put that on your website don't no where she's from communication is poor and when I asked to speak to the manager whet said not back in few days you can't leave someone in charge that can't take phone calls

Eaten from here before the week before and it was amazing As we all know things are expensive atm. So a treat is a treat. But as it was literally amazing last week I decided to have another girly night in as I got a new born. The nans where very cold. And meat slightly chewy x x but would still try again

How can you charge £3.95 for 2 tiniest samosas I’ve ever seen. Which did not taste of any meat. It was just hot mush which was thrown in the bin. And then the sheek kebab starter found 2 bones in it which made me sick then the rest of the food went into the bin My friends use you and what I’ve told them about tonight they won’t be using you again. Worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Rubbish.

First and last time Chicken was okay but cold Biriani was okay but cold Chicken pakora cold and dry dough was way to thick Naan bread half of it was okay the other half the dough was un cooked The xacoti curry was horrendous dry and tasteless
