Caffe Rosso in Redcar and Cleveland

Had creamy garlic mushrooms to start followed by lasagne. Very disappointed with the food quality and quantity. The mushroom starter had about 3 mushrooms sliced up in it and a lot of sauce, too much sauce for the 2 very small pieces of toasted bread it was served with. The lasagne portion was small and there was very little meat in it. Overall I left the restaurant still hungry. Service was good which is why I gave it 3 stars and not 2.

We took a group of walkers for an early supper after a local walk. Great service and location. Good attention to detail. Excellent food and drink smartly served. Restaurant week charges a bargain too!

Went for the happy hour and it was ok limited menu at a 2 course deal price but wasn’t worth any more than what we were paying, slow and slower is how it felt . Think we were 3 rd table in and the team were in no rush , more time looking after the guests and less time chatting at the bar would be a step forward. Pasta pizza and parmo dishes again ok but there’s better available locally, if you got all night and service isn’t a priority give it a go but I wouldn’t recommend here for anything special

Staff extremely friendly and attentive. We had starter and main which was excellent. The Carbonara was tasty, and creamy and the perfect portion size. The same for my friends Arriabata . Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Friendly, cozy restaurant. Highly recommended

Excellent authentic Italian food. Delizioso Well looked after with pleasant staff. The owner made a point of asking all tables if "Everything is alright with the meal". A lovely personal touch. Would highly recommend a visit but book, as it gets very busy due to is being small and cosy.

we arrived to a dark hectic wet windowed place where staff were running around looking stressed we were great by i woman called Sandra with "have you booked" not a hello or good evening ! when we said yes she pointed to a table that was right under the bar where staff were constantly passing with hot food and noisy staff at the bar. my partner enjoyed his dish but mine was nothing to write home about, tasteless and hardly any meat in the dish in fact my partner had to put his vegetable into my dish to make it interesting and something to taste A few days later when checking my facebook i had numerous messages on messenger from a women called Sandra - who i came to realise worked here saying the card machine didnt work and payment wasnt taken that night and threatening us with CCTV ! my goodness me not a sorry it was our fault or a please a thank you - so rude ! there are so many more professional and delishous places in the area to go and eat that we found but this one was not a nice experience at all !

Been going to Sergios since he took over the restaurant. Never had a bad meal there. Staff very friendly, good food and a good overall experience. Would highly recommend

Without exaggeration this is our favourite restaurant ever! Since moving to Guisborough in 2021 we have been regulars here for both sit in meals and takeaways/delivery. The food is outstanding every single time and it’s such a lovely place to be. It has an intimate feel and always a nice atmosphere and the team are just amazing. A few of our favourite dishes are the starting sharing platters, the chicken dishes and the pasta is just wow! A very lovely wine list too. We are so lucky to have this wonderful restaurant on our doorstep.

This is a real gem tucked away off the Main Street in Guisborough. Called in on the off chance with our 2 grandchildren on a journey home after a night away. The welcome was warm and friendly, the restaurant was quiet but the waiter explained it would soon ‘busy up’. It certainly did with a mixture of couples, families and small groups which created a lovely buzz! Our order was taken promptly by the friendly waiter and explanations offered when requested. The pasta dishes when they came were VERY tasty indeed, full of flavour and the pasta cooked to perfection. The grandchildren had Tagliatelle al Carbonara and each finished and adult portion (9 and 6 years old)! My wife and I had Tagliatelle Capesante (scallops, fish, garlic cream) and I had Spaghetti al Gamberoni (pan fried king prawns, sun dried tomato, asparagus, garlic cream). All these dishes were outstanding - my wife’s Mum was Italian so we do recognise excellent Italian cuisine. An outstanding restaurant that I can strongly recommend….. probably worth booking to make sure!

I have been here twice now once in December 2023 and today January 24th 2024. The food is unbelievably tasty and first class. Staff are all very friendly and professional. I went with my husband and 4year old son both times and all of us had the best time and enjoyed our meals. We will be back, if you like lobster you have to try the lobster ravioli it is to die for 😋😍.

The rudest restaurant They missed two orders and blamed it on us however, it was written on the menu. The owner slammed his hand on the bar and blamed it on us. I will never use this restaurant again. The customer service was terrible and we didn’t get two meals yet they tried to charge us for them.

We were staying round the corner. Hadn't intended to go there but the chip shop was closing, so went to Sergio's instead. An absolute revelation! We both had spaghetti frutti di mare, which we agreed was the best Italian meal we've had in years. Pasta done just right, just the right amount of seafood, and a beautiful tomato sauce, not too much, with just a hint of chili. And it was a big plateful, too much for us to have a dessert. Tha waitress was very friendly and welcoming too. f we lived closer we'd be there every week. A solid 5 stars.

I visited Sergios Italian with my family when we first arrived we were seated by young waitress who was very professional, we decided to order off the happy hour menu when our portions arrived we were shocked of the size of the portions, I started of with potato skins which were lovely followed by a polo alla cream which I was disgusted with the portions size for £11 I got a small chicken breast with a light layer of sauce and about 4 chips, I mentioned it to the waitress serving us and she said in the happy hour the reduce the portions, I would not recommend ordering of the happy hour menu!! When we left the restraunt the manager was sat on his phone not interested to be there, he had one young waitress out front of house who looked very stressed with all the work she was putting in. I left a tip for the young waitress as she deserved it for her excellent service and hard work. I do hope she gets this tip as I’ve heard the manager keeps them!

Starter always good. My wife had an excellent Risotto. I had the local ‘Parmo’ which, when good, is always an excellent mix. It was very good. Sustained by a Sardinian Red Wine that never fails to satisfy. At 14.5%, always satisfies. Macchiato to finish.

Called in for tea time meal,wished we'd never. Neither of us cud eat the chips very peculiar taste. When asked how our meal was we mentioned the above to the young waitress,on her return 15 mins later she just asked had we finished, we again said we can't finish as it wasn't nice. She said everything was cooked fresh,which is what I'd of expected at a restaurant. We had no issue with the freshness it was the taste.No management came to speak to us,and we were charged full price which we stupidity paid. Never again!
