Caffe Nero - Wokingham in Wokingham

Dropped two stars because, staff ask whether you are drinking in or takeaway. Me being honest, I said drinking in and pay for the privilege, but there were a lot of people who clearly paid for a takeaway drink (who have takeaway cups) which is cheaper and sit in to have it. The staff should enforce this, or don't charge different prices to drink in and takeaway!! And FAR too many dogs inside !!

Stopped here whilst walking around the town, coffee was good as were the cakes. Would certainly call in again if in the area :-)

Efficiently set up to deal with takeaway orders staff wear gloves and the cakes and pastries are behind glass. Staff are friendly, the capucino is excellent and pastries good.

Great place to sit and relax, catch up with friends, some of whom I have made since visiting there. There are a lot of coffee places in Wokingham now, but the coffee here is by far the best as is the friendly staff, the choice of food is good too, the Vegan Salted Caramel & Chocolate Cheesecake is very yummy and I'm not vegan! My dog is always very welcome too and gets her own bowl of water. Erika the Manageress does an excellent job of managing the place, as with most places there are sometimes staff changes, which as a regular can be disappointing as they definitely help make the experience one that you want to go back to, however Erika's choice of Barista is good and it doesn't take long to feel at ease with everyone.

Knowledge and friendly staff, an excellent cup of coffee and selection of pastries. If you need to work, there are plenty of tables, plug sockets and free WiFi.

I am a regular customer and find the quality of coffee and service top notch . The ambience and seating round the experience off and I heartily recommend a visit

Situated of the main town centre junction The front entices people othewise a standard nero setup - with rear tables but not allways busy

Always a friendly welcome at this branch, with good service and with the food and coffee, you know what you are getting.

Great coffee, even greater cakes. Its a big chain of course but I prefer Nero's to the others and this is no exception. Even with the construction on the opposite side of the street its a great place to relax for half an hour.

Been a while since eating here, and it has got a bit rough around the edges, a bit tired, and like the rest of Wokingham it could do with a spruce up. it was late in the day and it needed a clean up. Service was okay, though it took several attempts to get the tea I wanted, cakes as always of good quality in this chain

In the heart of Wokingham. Part of a huge chain so you kmow what you get. Can be crowded as small. Handy for the centre. Not worth a special journey but very pleasant

Definitely the best coffee in town. The baristas know their coffee are they are always friendly and polite.

Came here for business purposes. Nice atmosphere, was quiet but not too quiet. Staff were friendly and welcoming :) Good coffee and cake too!

Have been in for coffee quite a few times. It is usually rather busy, so they must be doing something right! Nice chatty baristas

Vamos a este Neros con regularidad y siempre encontramos el personal muy amable, servicial y profesional y no puedo bastante creer en algunas de las críticas negativas. Creo que la decoración es acogedora, siempre a la temperatura correcta y me encanta la música de fondo. Lo más importante creo que su café es el mejor de cualquiera de las otras tiendas de café, buena relación calidad-precio y también el dolor au raisin son deliciosos.

Habiendo mudado recientemente a la zona, decidimos parar aquí en húmedo el domingo por la mañana para una bebida. Se llena bastante, pero conseguimos algunos asientos cómodos en la esquina sin ningún problema. El personal era muy amable, y hasta nos dieron dado tres batidos en lugar de dos, porque la señorita hizo un poco demasiado. En general, un gran ambiente y amor las bebidas con hielo!

I ordered a caramelatte with cold soya milk and a lemon muffin. I got a hard burning on my tongue, was a regular latte and the muffin should be from day before.

Why the coffee has to be so strong, I don't know. As an Italian, i can say it should be smooth but not so strong. It's also expensive. Food is ok. Take away cups aren't recyclable!

Hard to review a chain like this. Wooden tables and chairs, basic produce and not a lot of 'ambiance'. Great for a coffee if you're in a hurry :-).

Relaxing coffee spot, nice and efficient staff, the place is nicely decorated and centrally located in Wokingham

This cafe it in the heart of Wokingham close to the Town Hall. It is comfortable. I don't need to tell you about the food and drink, this is part of a BIG chain. This is a pleasant addition. It has disabled access and can accommodate pushchairs.

Although often busy, this is a great place to meet up with friends or spend a few quiet moments alone. The coffee blend used here is just to my liking. It's two shot place, so ask for one if you don't like strong coffee.

I like this place because of the friendly atmosphere and service, not to mention the best coffee. Always try for a window seat because they are the most comfortable and you can watch the world go by.

Really great staff, and the coffee is quite good. Gets a little busy and they are always low on staff. It's not unusual to have to clear and wipe down your own table .

Caffe Nero is conveniently placed in more-or-less the centre of Wokingham. It's part of a chain so has standardised snacks and coffees but that's not a problem as I like them! (But it would be good to get a wider range of cakes). I've visited Caffe Nero and the service has always been prompt and pleasant and I do like the feel of the coffee-house and the fact that in addition to standard chairs they also have softer chairs, almost like a club (or Central Perk in Friends). I'll be back - and so should you.

Coffee and food what you expect to get from a chain coffee shop. Nothing special and pretty expensive. Service good from the counter. Couldn't help notice though that the tables and floors were dirty on a fairly quiet Sunday morning.

I really like the Nero Chain but this one is so noisy! I am not sure how you dampen sound but this one fails to do it! This is the only coffee shop that I have ever been to and I have been to hundreds that the ambient noise is intrusive. This is my 5th time in this one and again I am overwhelmed by the noise level. The staff are great; my coffee was weak today which was unusual.

People often think that Italian coffee is all about strength. As an Italian i can say its not. It's about smoothness and flavour. I find the coffee here too strong that it gives me a headache. Another coffee shop chain pretending to be Italian. However, the pastries are delicious and the best around. Can't fault them. Service is good and its a nice place to relax and get away from things.

Caffe Nero is my favourite coffee chain, the staff are lovely but unfortunately the Wokingham branch has one of the worst designs as unless you are lucky enough to bag a seat by the window, it's very dark and dingy down the back of the caffe.

Staff are always pleasant and make a good coffee much prefer Neros to the other high street brands. not sure about this one but some Nero's are dog friendly just ask the manager as it is down to them

With a good location in Wokingham town centre, Caffe Nero is literally well-placed in the market. The staff are friendly and the coffee and snacks reasonably-priced compared with other coffee shops.The only niggle is that there is almost always a small queue - perhaps a sign of popularity.
