Good coffee and good service. Small selection of cakes drags down.

Normal excellent from Caffè Nero and staff working well and labouring on when it gets busy and stressing. & I hope they enjoy their work: They certainly are appreciated by many of us I feel sure !, as is the Caffe Nero brand way, and coffee!!. Lovely coffee at 7.15 a.m. with nice quiet classical etc music mix for a gentler start into the day. Excellent. Very good many thanks all round for ongoing Caffe Nero places and what's given us. Excellent many thanks. Lovely clean and smart here too. Thanks.

This coffee shop is by far the friendliest coffee shop i have been in. All the staff were so friendly. They had great customer service. A number of my colleagues visited Neros St Pauls over a 3 day period while on a conferencd nearby and the coffee and service was brilliant.

Nice location. Being open till 8 PM is a very big plus.

Just reiterating how rude the staff are. They clearly don’t want to work there and it shows. Really put me off going there as others have said. I would also recommend staff to wear clean clothes that are not covered in mud.

I am a regular here and usually have a pleasant experience. The baristas are very kind and attentive. I have been coming here for over a year and regularly bring my meal deal with me. However, I always always buy a drink. There has never been a problem raised until today by a member of staff which took me by surprise as countless staff have walked by me eating my sandwich etc and have never said a thing. I was told because they were a 'cafe' I couldn't eat my own food. I wouldn't say the sale of overpriced premade toasties and cake qualifies to be a cafe. I am a loyal customer so I am dissapointed I can't peacefully eat my lunch anymore. I always tidy up after myself and like I said I always buy a drink so I don't really see the problem. They are a chain, not a small business so it's not as if I am taking business away from them.

Nero's, best of the bunch, in my opinion. Normally, I just go for an americano with cold milk on the side, so I can not give an opinion on the food. Atmosphere, it is a nice place to sit outside, and people watch going about their day backwards and forwards through the peace garden's.

Adam’s the best barista, he’s such a great guy. Surprisingly witty, funny, and down to earth. He’s super humble too, I have no complaints about him. Everyone needs a bit of Adam in their life

Collette, Klaudia and Cherie served me today. They, as per usual were friendly, professional, helpful and swift in making drinks and paninis. The store is my favourite Caffè Nero in Sheffield. They are a credit to Caffè Nero UK.

Rude staff. Tried to scan my app and told ‘no not yet I need to put it through first.’ Said in a childlike condescending way. Person in question was a youngish white male who seems full of himself considering he works in a coffee shop. Will be contacting head office about him

Some of staff are rude, unfriendly and abrupt unlike the Neros on the Moor and High Street. Other than that the coffee and pastries are very good

Really rude employees. Reprimanded twice, once for telling a second person my order because they wanted to ring me out, and a second time for not letting them know I'm using the app not credit card to pay. Good coffee, rude and condescending service.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience in this cafe. The service was not up to the required level and the welcome was not good at the reception. I hope you will re-emerge the worker you have there. Thank you.

The coffee is okay. What you expect, but some of the staff are quite rude. One of the ladies has a habit of moaning about work in front of customers, or being on her phone. To me a bit unprofessional and I'll go to the nearby Starbucks instead.

Slow service and baristas were more interested in taking the next customers order than serving me. The seating area upstairs was not pleasant and the floor was dirty. Will not be going back here again.

this place has such slow service. i’ve had to walk out mid way through waiting in queue a few times now because it’s taking 10 mins plus to even be served. employ more staff cafe nero.

Great drinks, friendly, competent staff and a nice atmosphere. Plus it's one of the few places to go for coffee and the café lifestyle after 6pm. Definitely recommend the lemon meringue cheesecake or if you want something savoury, the pork and pancetta sausage roll.

Branch of the popular Caffè Nero. Seating inside and outside. Range of coffees, chocolates, teas etc. Also cold drinks. Good range of cakes, sandwiches etc. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will go again. Good view of the peace gardens from upstairs.

I often use Cafe Nero for a quick coffee when in the city centre. Today I popped in because my 3 year old son desperately needed a wee and the tram was due to arrive. Out of courtesy I asked the girl if it was ok. She bluntly refused telling me I had to buy something. It’s a 3 year old boy! Anyway, I Went to the Cathedral instead, was met on door by one of the clergy who even took us to show us where the toilets were. Made a £2 donation. I’ll never again spend money in Cafe Nero. It’s a soulless, child adverse hole. No humanity here, it’s just a profit, money focussed vacuum.

Caffé Nero always makes me feel welcome. Pastries are exceptionally delicious and atmosphere is pleasant. And the most important thing is that my dog also is welcome. Thank you for your kindness!

Typical coffee shop... A bit over priced cakes IMO but nice hot chocolate... Don't sit in front of the automatic doors on a cold or windy day, it opens frequently and if there's a queue it stays open as it's next to the counter...

Got served with a smile, friendly banter and felt welcome.

My friend came to Sheffield with two of his colleagues from their camera club. I met them outside the Winter Gardens and we all enjoyed a coffee at Cafe Nero. Good atmosphere, nice drinks and great views of Sheffield.

Coffee in a beautiful and spacious location. Good coffee and an excellent atmosphere. There is a very helpful employee. I do not know his name, but he is kind and helpful, unlike the female employee.

My go to coffee shop. I think the loyalty program is the best compared to Costa, Starbucks etc. Very quick C+C service too which means you can order a couple minutes before arriving and it will be ready once you get there. I do wish there was some verification process to collect the order though as I could see anyone just grabbing someone else's order and no-one would think twice.

Tip top service with plenty of plug points for charging your laptop or phone. Very cosy upstairs with great views of the peace gardens.

We ordered the Vegan Sausage roll and the vegan Sausage cob (pre-package). The Sausage roll was nice with a filling of roasted vegetables which was a nice change from the fake meat options you can get but a filling of lentils is still a favourite for me. The Sausage cob was described as bland, boring, and was left unfinished (which is not normal behaviour). The chai latte was very nice and quite gentle and the cinnamon added a christmassy spirit. Couldn't fault the service, really polite and attentive.

A good place for a coffee and people watching. The food was the normal selection but well presented. The staff most of whom looked like students where very friendly and helpful. I would recommend you go for a table upstairs you get a great view of the square.

The coffee was average. The place has a nice view though. Toilets were clean. The music was too loud, to a point that no conversation in possible.

Coffee and breakfast rolls were good and social distancing was fine. However, this outlet needs a good clean. There are cobwebs everywhere and the structures holding the outside glass panels in place are filthy. He whole place is looking a bit “tired”

Visited 3 pm on Sunday 10/10/21 very rude staff. Person in front of me did not speak English and could not explain himself clearly for what he wanted to eat. The woman serving him was not understanding at all and was very rude and abrupt with him. Customer service none existent.

Queued for only a short time, placed my order for Coconut Mocha Grande and chocolate fudge cake. After working abroad since the start of lockdown and not using Nero in the UK for a long time I was surprised to see a card container for my cake. This is not a problem as I understand all about food hygiene regulations/covid as I worked in silver service before for special events. However, when I politely stated “oh by the way I’m eating in” the female short haired barista snapped rudely making no eye contact....” all the food is coming in boxes now I’m afraid.” The pitch, speed and tone of her response was completely off. She realised and quickly tried to rectify her attitude by calling me “darling” when giving directions for the card machine. The only person I want calling me darling is my husband or close friends!!!! I feel this was very patronising and rude. I then asked for cream on my cake which she had already closed without checking if I needed cream. At which point I got “ just so you know for next time....cream is extra” ....I said that’s fine I don’t mind Paying extra.... Very disappointed with service.....a good barista is hard to find. Even the girl preparing the drinks looked at me apologetically because she knew her attitude was off. Coffee fine, cake fine ...:-/

As a manager in hospitality I recognise the stress and pressure of a busy rush. However... when I ordered an iced oat milk latte and recieved a hot latte, i politly said that i had ordered an iced one, the barista replied very loudly "well I wish people would say what they want and not change their minds." This is an unacceptable and rude response. I fully accept she was stressed, but you do not speak to a customer in such way.

Over the years the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. The shop is always neat and tidy, especially under Coronavirus regulations re hygiene and cleanliness. However not sure about Social distancing as today 4th July there was a party of about 10 people siting a standing very close together inside the coffee bar, one of them said they were going into the hotel opposite and were a family party.I moved out of their way. Woud like to know the regulations re parties of people, as i beliee they all should have distanced themselves , especially from other patrons!

Wanted a cup of coffee decided Caffè Nero was worth a visit. Lovely coffee but let down by the cleanliness of the place. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly for a while,tables were dirty and chairs full of crumbs. Not good.

After having a picnic in the Winter Garden we went for a coffee at Cafe Nero. Pat had a flat white, I had a black coffee and our grandson Joe had a capaccino and piece of caramel shortbread. We managed to find seats upstairs overloking the Peace Gardens. Nice coffee and nice relaxing atmospher. Only downside were the toilets-people leaving paper on the floor, etc. No excuse.

Out on a rare shopping trip and called in for a quick coffee. The female barrister was so Ryde to us. We were horrified at her general rudeness for seemingly no reason at all? Terrible experience and wouldn't return. Such a shame!

The food and drink is what you would expect, It’s the staff that make the difference. Love that one of them refuses to promote items and persuade people to buy what they don’t need. When will companies realise that we know what they are doing. Must be really annoying or the staff and customers don’t like it.

Pat y yo habíamos estado haciendo algunas compras y buscamos un café en algún lugar. Nos decidimos por la calle Caf Nero de la Plaza Pauls. Subimos las escaleras y disfrutamos mirando hacia la plaza. Café excelente como siempre. Uno de mis lugares favoritos para tomar un café en Sheffield.

Visitamos por primera vez hoy a la hora del almuerzo, muy ocupados abajo y afuera, muchos espacios arriba, nos sentamos a mirar los jardines de la paz, fue encantador alejarse del ajetreo y el bullicio de la ciudad y relajarnos y relajarnos y almorzar.Pedimos panini de jamón y queso y un trozo de pastel de chocolate y pastel de zanahoria, junto con dos cafés, todos llegaron a tiempo.La comida era deliciosa y el panini era suave, y no era tan duro como en algunos lugares, los pasteles eran pegajosos y rebosaban de exquisitez.Encantadora primera visita, definitivamente volveré a llamar, una pequeña joya de lugar.

Paramos aquí para tomar una copa y un bocadillo el sábado a la hora del almuerzo. Tenía a mi sobrina de 18 meses y iba a conseguirle una comida para el almuerzo para niños, pero estaban fuera de las bebidas (un poco de basura cuando es parte de la oferta) y solo podía ofrecer agua como alternativa, así que opté por un sándwich en su lugar y ella tenía un poco de la deliciosa torta de chocolate que compré. Los pasteles son siempre encantadores aquí. Nos sentamos arriba, así que tenía una bonita vista de los jardines de paz. Tienen agua disponible y vasos para usar, lo cual es muy bueno ya que no se ve tan a menudo y hay una buena cantidad de asientos y sillas altas disponibles.

A spacious layout but it does get busy throughout the day. The staff are generally friendly and you can always get a good, strong coffee here.

I met a colleague for a meeting before an appointment in the Town Hall early morning. A very helpful sever, pleasantly busy and good drinks. In a great situation. One of the better chains.

Siamo stati a prendere una cioccolata, molto buona non bollente in linea con i prezzi del luogo cioè 2.80 pound. Su due livelli, sopra si trovano anche alcuni divanetti dove leggere sorseggiando una bevanda. A poca distanza dalla stazione ferroviaria Di Sheffield.

A bit expensive for a sandwich but it was very tasty and there were many different options to choose from including your 'more upmarket' fillings which were nice. Chocolate cake was delicious!

Quick service, coffee done well, nice open view of peace gardens! Plenty laptop/phone charging spots. As mention by others - the big guy is very pleasant and gets things sorted fast. Spent a lot of happy Sunday afternoons writing and reading upstairs.

La cola era masiva, pero había un tipo grande que sirvió rápidamente sin perder ninguna de sus habilidades de servicio al cliente en el proceso. Frente a personas que habían estado esperando un tiempo pero que aún no sabían lo que querían a la hora de ordenar, él mantuvo la calma y continuó a un nivel tan alto. l have tried a few Neros and find their coffee is way too strong. Even after asking for a weak coffee its knife and fork time.
