Came here on Saturday evening for coffee. First time in years revisiting this branch. Ordered the large latte, which comes in a good sized mug. Coffee is good quality and the latte is made to perfection, as neither too strong nor too weak. Very pleasant relaxed atmosphere, and the two men who were working that shift were very polite and friendly, and did not make us feel rushed at all to finish our drinks.

Rob, the barista, was on his own but he was so efficient and friendly. The cafe was clean and orderly. He had everything under control. Well done.

Since they seem to have recently changed the staff the service has improved. Previously the endlessly coughing and self-obsessed so-called baristas have been replaced with staff that care and manage to clear tables and clean up as they go. To be honest there are so many coffee shops in Salisbury it is not difficult to find better ones - the Cornish Bakery for one - and it's about 100ft away up High St.

Filthy where the coffee was made and spoons we where given where used, they had food stuck to them. We sat at a dirty table with rubbish and food on the floor, it was 10am so hadn’t been open very long for it to look so bad!

Fled to this coffee shop from the Ox Row pub (qv). I had Earl Grey tea plus items from the cooler. Unfortunately the dish washer was broken, so the tea had to be served in disposable cups, which wasn't a problem. The food was OK, there was room to sit down, and everything was OK

Excellent Coffee, lovely staff, but dust everywhere,, cobwebs, stained walls. Toilets unclean, dusty with grimy walls. Loose toilet seat. Upstairs Gents closed due to a missing handle. Note on door said use downstairs. Come on Lads, good product, but just get the easy bits right

I used to like Caffe Nero (in general) as opposed to other chain cafes. But this ain't great. Slow service, a bit grubby, and the coffee isn't great. Do yourself a favour - Go to an independent coffee shop.

Appalling Service. Left after 15 minute wait. 3 attendants at counter. One serving a fussy customer whilst I waited to be served.

Treated myself to my usual large hot choc with cream & choc sprinkles. Staff are amazing, polite & very helpful, especially John! Thank you 😊

Five of us went to Caffe Nero for coffee and a snack. Tables were not cleaned between customers. We used our own and after cleaning the table the wipes were filthy. No social distancing, and no hand sanitiser.

Visited with my young son on a monday morning and was so amazed by how dirty it was that we left. The interior was visibly worn and in need of a total redecoration but the actual level of cleanliness was woeful. The toilets and sinks were utterly digusting. If this was the general state of the public areas in a pandemic, what are the kitchen areas like?

Clearly popular based on its location as opposed to the quality. Staff were generally unhelpful and unfriendly. The place overall is dated but, more importantly, dirty. Got our order wrong, failed to apologize. The staff member didn't stop yawning. Take your custom elsewhere.

This branch of Caffe Nero is very well located in Salisbury, on a crossroads in the shopping centre; apart from downstairs seating there is a large upstairs area which lets you have views along Silver St. and people-watch from a high viewpoint. There are toilets both upstairs and down, and of course there is the usual range of coffees and snacks; the counter area is smaller than most but the staff are well trained and gave excellent service.

Had a very nice cuppa in Nero today while visiting Salisbury for the day. Hubby loved his coffee (only Nero will do!) and my cup of tea had great flavour. Although a tea bag it was a posh one and the flavour tasted great. Hubby loves your coffee and it is good that you also serve great tea for non-coffee drinkers.

As one of the few coffee shops to stay open for takeaway during lockdown, Caffe Nero have been a lifesaver. Throughout the staff have always been welcoming, the coffee is excellent and the occasional cake has proved too tempting!

We always look for a cafe Nero when travelling around. Now using their App which is easy. Automatically adds your stamps so no losing the card Hate having to wear a mask when not sitting at a table but that’s the new normal Helpful staff

Went here for some milkshakes and snacks. With the 50% off it was an absolute bargain and the staff were lovely and even gave the extras from the milkshakes. You have to wear a mask in the queue and staff had gloves on. Seating has been spaced out however they could do with a few more places for groups of 5/6 to sit together. They also needed to clear up the leftover rubbish as there were lots on the tables and the bin area was overflowing. The milkshakes are quite sweet but they would be good if you were ok with that!

We visit regularly and love this caffe. We loath paper cups but understand the requirements at present due to covid. Caffe Nero do need to do a refurb’ as the decor is looking tired and over used. However the location is excellent, staff very friendly, coffee consistently good and we love the sausage rolls!

Good food, very helpfull staff, Visit every time we go to Salisbury. Can recommend the pancakes with maple syrup and sweet cured bacon. Coffee is always excelent.

Super coffee but someone please clean the toilet/ baby room and screen the crockery washing area from customers waiting to use the toilet.

Usual great cafe nero coffee but the service in this branch is pretty slow in comparison with other branches. Doesn't seem to be a shortage of staff just they they spend a lot of time doing other things behind the counter except serving people.

I think the best coffee is here , always friendly staff and comfortable seating , great basic food , its a great place for a refresh and chat with friends.

We usually go to Neros in Devizes or Marlborough and of late the taste and presentation of their flat whites has been poor. At this Nero we were served a very nice flat white, well presented with a decent hit of coffee, and the tables were clean! Also, dog friendly.

Entré durante mi hora de almuerzo. Muy limitado por el tiempo. Los dos tipos detrás del mostrador estaban conversando mientras uno servía y el otro ignoraba por completo que estaba esperando. We visit often and it’s is the best flat white around and also such a great assortment of cakes. The staff are always very friendly and happy to see you.

These guys really know how to make coffee. It's the only chain left where you can get a decent cup of decaf coffee. I enjoyed a powerful decaf flat white today. Wowsers.

....very efficient service and welcoming staff who couldn't do enough for us on a calm Bank Holiday Sunday. Drinks were delicious as were the millionaire shortbread (although it does seem to be shrinking in size over the years!!). Keep up the great work guys!

Good coffee and fresh made sandwiches served in this local coffee shop Toasted sandwiches with cheese and tomato were heated and brought to our table along with cappuccino . Good location near the city center and close to the rail station

This has to be my favourite coffee house in Salisbury. It is a great place to watch the world go by downstairs or somewhere to gossip with friends upstairs.

A veces entra aquí para tomar un café y charlar con amigos. Puede ser ocupado y, a veces, un poco ruidoso, aunque esto no resta valor al ambiente. Me gusta el café aquí, ya que suele ser un poco más fuerte que otras cafeterías. El personal siempre amable y eficiente. Una de las posiciones favoritas es sentarse en uno de los asientos de la planta baja junto a las ventanas, para ver pasar el mundo.

The coffee at cafe Nero can be really nice. The cafe is at a great part of town. There are lots of nice comfy spots to sit and read a paper or chat with a friend. My problem is I have extreme IBS and cannot go out unless the toilets offer privacy. The ones here are not the best so I always get my Americano with cream to go. This is where the cafe loses a few points. The take away cups always 100% of the time leak. It is most frustrating because I will begin drinking it and especially if it triggers an IBS attack I have to rush home. This creates even more leakage on the cup. My hand gets covered in coffee and sometimes it drops onto my trousers. Very frustrating. Even if i get something like a tea which isnt as big an Ibs trigger and am able to walk slowly it still leaks. In 2018, I don't see how this is possible.

Watch the world go by, spend an afternoon chilling out, or like i have been, while working here this month, using the weekends to sit, chill and do some studying left to my own devices, with many little corners to lose yourself, got loads done, and lisening to people chat and families having a coffee after a day out, proper people watchign while i was in my study books, great place to lose yourself, lovely atmosphere, really good coffee.

Went here for afternoon tea. The service was fast by lovely staff, the tea was excellent and the café was clean and there were plenty of tables to sit at. I would definitely return.

This place seemed busy albeit it was raining and that would make people go indoors Other than that, there was nothing that made this place stand out but it was not bad wither hence the average rating.

Visit regularly, although a chain probably the best in Salisbury after the independents, friendly service, good variety of seating upstairs nd down, great views of the world, good selection of drinks and snacks.

Visité aquí esta mañana mientras deambulaba encontré a Salisbury. Era un lugar encantador y cómodo para tomar un café, el personal era muy amable y servicial.

Needed a warming cuppa whilst shopping with my daughter on a bitterly cold Saturday morning. I had de-caffinated tea & my daughter had hot chocolate & a Danish pastry.. Staff were welcoming & helpful.

On two floors in an attractive building, Cafe Nero customers can relax and enjoy a coffee or other beverage while watching the world bustle by outside. Staff are friendly and service is good, with the coffee being up to muster. Have been frequenting this establishment over the years due to working in Salisbury. At times it can be let down by what appears to be a lack of a thorough clean. On this occasion, was disappointed with a latte which appeared to be more like a cappuccino. Minor niggles perhaps but Salisbury now has a lot of choice in the coffee shop arena.

After our train ride from Southampton and the brisk walk into town, we were in need of a hot cup of espresso. Cafe Nero did not disappoint! The service was outstanding, the restrooms clean and the coffee awesome! We were pleasantly surprised at both the cost and the size of the drinks, at home we would pay twice the amount for half of the serving. The quality of the espresso was superb. This cafe is a must stop, wi-fi was excellent as well!

This is an unusually attractive Cafe Nero — spacious, nicely laid out with comfortable seating and great service. It's the pleasantness of the staff that elevates it above your normal chain experience. As usual the beverages, hot and cold, are excellent, as is the high quality of the food, which exceeds one's expectations considering it's essentially offering a fast food menu. I'm especially partial to the caramel shortbread squares.

Great coffee and good service badly let down by a dirty cafe. At 0900 on a Wednesday morning there really is no excuse for filthy toilets and yesterday's pastry etc on the floor.

Arrived mid morning Sunday. Two staff in duty front of house. Busy morning however they both managed brilliantly. Female serving, smiling & talking all the time. The male trainee barista trying to keep up. Mocks was perfect. Matched with a slice of lemon cheese cake....

Also Kaffee hin oder her, aber so ein WC ist völlig inakzeptabel. Offensichtlich wird so etwas in England genehmigt. Schlimm und die Küche daneben? Wenn es so darin aussieht, sollte man die Türe schließen!

Este lugar siempre está lleno. Algunos de los cómodos muebles de aspecto tan atrayente para el cansado de compras! Nos las arreglamos para encontrar una mesa libre ha recibido un servicio rápido y amable. Una camarera joven rápidamente limpiado el piso cuando alguien dividido su bebida de todo el cuadro y en el suelo. Me gustaría decir que nos relajamos por un largo tiempo aquí, pero la verdad es la tarta de limón era tan deliciosa que se burlaban en segundos. El chocolate caliente deliciosos! Toda la experiencia dio en el clavo. Viendo el mundo loco de los compradores sobre fuera correr me resistía a dejar! Volveré. . . . . Cuando la Navidad se detiene o punta cuando oigo la llamada de la tarta de chocolate!

Este café, cerca de la principal zona de tiendas, es muy eficiente, con una buena gama de pasteles, cafés y otras bebidas. Tuvimos la suerte de sentarse en la grande, sillones de cuero de arriba con una vista de las tiendas. Había wc de arriba.

Convenientemente situado cerca del centro de la ciudad (a 1 minutos a pie de la plaza principal). Nos pareció que el personal era amable y servicial. El café era el típico café de buena calidad que agradezco. Se entrara a otro cuando estoy en Salisbury de nuevo.

Nicht gerade sehr Britisch aber für uns Schweizer am morgen ein Muss. Und das hat uns Caffé Nero gegeben. Zentral gelegen und einen Katzensprung von der Kathedrale entfernt und sehr zentral gelegen. Stühle etwas zusammenrücken und an der Tecke direkt beim Eingang die Bestellung von heissen und kalten Getränke aufgeben und kurze Zeit später geniessen.Sehr schöne Atmosphäre!

Good cafe near the centre of Salisbury. Caffe Nero is in a charming building and has a pleasant upstairs lounge. The staff are pleasant and efficient.

Paseando por Salisbury buscábamos un lugar donde tomar un rico café sin demorar demasiado tiempo. Elegimos bien y fuimos a Nero, ubicado en el centro, con rapidez y amabilidad en la atención, y con un rico café.

It does what you expect good choice of coffees nice looking cakes. We popped in to grab a take out coffee for our journey home & were really impressed by the friendly professional welcome from the staff. Way beyond the routine coffee shop service I watched as the male staff member greeted customers remembering their usual orders, the young lady serving us took the time for friendly discussion about our journey. The drinks we had were superb and for customer service this is one of the best.

Visit on the occasional morning to treat myself and my staff to some much needed caffeine. Popped in here at first as I was feeling too lazy to go a little further to Costa. Wont go anywhere else now for 1 reason...Nero has the nicest staff. Super friendly and genuine with it. Hats off to them for making their customers feel so welcome

My usual stopping point for a good cup of Americano and a piece of one of their delicious cakes in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere.

Superb service from very friendly and professional staff. Cakes and pastries are consistently delicious and the coffee is spot on every time unlike other chains.

We visited today with our children (17 & 20). It was busy as it was a Saturday morning. Service was fine. We were going to sit downstairs but the ceiling started dripping so we moved upstairs. Toilets were clean and coffee was good!

Staff too preoccupied with talking to each other to serve quickly. Despite being asked about milk in our drinks this was ignored. Cakes put on plastic napkins rather than plates and not a teaspoon in sight.

Coming back from the Cathedral and looking for some place to rest, I found this cafe in the middle of downtown, convieniently on a corner at a crossing. They have good coffee and nice snacks.

Went to this coffee shop for two mugs of hot chocolate, both mugs were Luke warm , I did ask for Hot chocolate not Luke warm , very disappointed, as they cost £5.80 for two,Will not go there again,

The corner location with full size windows makes this a bright and cheerful place to take a break. A range of seating options offers flexibility with sufficient space for wheelchair access, something missing from competitors. Reliable high quality Nero coffee with excellent hot chocolate too. My only criticism was the music volume to the back right of the coffee shop. Still, there were spare seats elsewhere so we moved!

Standard Cafe Nero with great staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful but were lacking in numbers as quite a few tables needed clearing.

As a coffee shop chain Cafe Nero generally provides good coffee,snacks etc....,Nothing different here in Salisbury. Staff welcoming, a good strong cup of coffee. This particular Cafe Nero has plenty of seating. However, as with many other coffee shops they could probably do with a few extra staff to move the queues quicker & clear the tables.

I met some friends there. It was nice and the staff are very polite and helpful. I think that they should close it for a season so it can be full refurbished on both the inside and outside. ☕️

Poor welcome from two guys behind counter. Would not accept my coffee loyalty card as one of stamps had faded due getting wet in pocket during downpour. Hardly made me feel I wanted to visit again!

One of the best place in Salisbury to enjoy a cup of coffe. I love espresso (i am form italy) and i have been so happy to discover that there it was properly made! Staff is smiley, helpful and always nice. In my stay of 9 months in salisbury, without a doubt, one of the best!!!Thank you!

I was surprised when I walked in that the queue for the coffee counter almost out of the door. There's loads of seating here by the counter is small comparatively.Served quite quickly though with three staff on the go.White chocolate mocha was lovely!

Beautiful velvety smooth coffee. Incredibly friendly staff - Grace (I think that's her name) is the most perky person you could ever wish to speak to first thing in the morning. A cracking team - keep up the good work! :)

Great if you are busy in the city and need a break! As with all these establishments in the chain they are reasonably priced for the product you receive. Plus your tenth drink is free if you collect the stamps!The music is upbeat but relaxing. The free WIFI is certainly a huge draw for us when taking a break as it allows us to quickly log in and check our emails, facebook, tripadvisor and other things alike.The staff all seem fairly well presented and friendly. They are more than helpful with any questions you may have and don't seem bothered if you're still using their WIFI half an hour after finishing your drink.Always clean.This place does need more 'relaxed' seating as the chairs are more like that you'd expect at the dining table at home. The odd couch that is available is great though.If you are shopping, feel tired, and fancy a nice cup of tea or a panini, pop in.

Hubby and I love this place.....why, well let me tell you. The staff usually 2, just go that extra mile to get you served quickly and politely, which amounts to a lot these days, and are always there to help. Coffee is good and nice and hot. I always have a Latte and Hubby a large filter coffee just with sugar. I eat healthily, a Granola Bar and ahmmmm he has Cappuccino cake, both very good. There is water either chilled or room temperature, for you to help yourself. The seating is comfortable, whether you want comfy armchairs or the usual cafe chairs. Now here is the best bit.....people watching. Yes we have full length windows in this cafe on 2 sides,floor to ceiling so we can watch the world go by and see how many foreign visitors we have coming to see our lovely city. Great fun. There are seats upstairs as well, and it's a good job too, as Nero's are nearly always busy even on a wet day. Go and see for yourself. They have a good range of sandwiches, toasties, baguettes, and all sorts of soft drinks and a HUGE range of coffees. Can't speak highly enough of this place.

There are plenty of comfy places to sit in the sunshine of a lazy Sunday. Yes, it's the usual selection you can find in any Nero, but the staff are friendly and helpful and it makes all the difference.
